THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Ridge Learns The Truth About The CPS Call During His Nuptials to Taylor

Were you betting that Taylor (Krista Allen) would tell the truth to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) before she said her “I do’s”, or did you think she would keep her mouth shut and marry the man today? We got part of our answer on today’s highly-anticipated episode of The Bold and the Beautiful.

At the altar, with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) giving her mother side eye that she needs to come clean to Ridge before she marries him, while Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) on the other side of his mom is trying to get her to go through with the nuptials, Taylor becomes overwhelmed,  She says to Ridge, “I have to tell you something.” However, that was a big fat red herring, because she immediately gushes that she’s ready to marry him.  Thomas smirks and Steffy’s is in shock.

Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) continues officiating the ceremony and then when he asks if anyone present has an objection to the union, it is none other than Steffy who says “I do.”  Thomas is seething.  Steffy continues to say that she objects to the wedding.

Ridge is perplexed, and so Steffy goes on to say it’s complicated, but he needs to know the truth, and tells Thomas to do just that.  Thomas begs Steffy to stop, but she won’t.

Next, Steffy tells Ridge, “Dad, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) didn’t hide anything from you. You deserve to know the truth… the truth about the CPS call.”  Thomas wants Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) to leave the room, but he won’t.  Now, Thomas is squirming a bit.

Steffy says it’s about the call to Child Protective Services, adding,“You thought it was Brooke, but it wasn’t.” Steffy reveals Thomas made the recording but Ridge feels that doesn’t make any sense.  Next thing you know, our hero, Douglas plays the CPS call on his phone. He first plays the Brook-voiced version, and then the call in Thomas’ voice.

Ridge is still not getting it (sometimes you just have to hit the Forrester men over the head!) until Douglas explains it’s an app on his phone where you can record your voice and can make it sound like someone else!  Now Ridge turns to his son filled with betrayal.  Thomas reminds his father he said he wanted to marry Taylor and the CPS call had nothing to do with it and all he wanted to do was make him happy.

Ridge yells, “Do I look happy to you?” Next, he really lays into Thomas: “You destroyed my marriage! My son! YOU did this!”

Meanwhile, at her home, Brooke is being comforted by her visiting father, Stephen (Patrick Duffy), who already told Brooke that he feels she should be furious at Ridge for ending their marriage without giving her a reason.  Stephen feels leaving his daughter with no explanation is just plain cruel of Ridge.

So, did you think the truth of the CPS call would come out at the wedding on today’s episode? What do you think will happen next? Will Ridge marry Taylor anyway?  Will he high-tail it back to Brooke … and if he does, should she even take him back? Share your thoughts in the comment section.  But first, watch the bombshell ending of Monday’s B&B below.

GH’s Kelly Thiebaud Delivers The ‘Power Performance of the Week’

In heartbreaking scenes on last week’s episodes of General Hospital, Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) gets the news she has feared for quite some time – that her battle with Huntington’s disease has progressed even further than she imagined.

The moments were all played with devastating perfection by Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud, who has GH fans know will be departing the ABC daytime drama series soon.

In story, Austin (Roger Howarth) set up a consultation with a Huntington’s Disease expert, Dr. Talone. When the three meet to discuss Britt’s case, she learns that symptoms she thought were stress from being on the run a few years ago, and when she was in prison, were the early manifestations of the disease.

After Dr. Talone examines Britt, she reveals that Britt now has the signs of stage three Huntington’s.  As for her prognosis, Britt will have ‘significant cognitive impairment’, and while she was anywhere between five to fifteen years in her lifespan, it could be as soon as eighteen months when Britt will need assisted living and full-time care.

When Dr. Talone exits, Austin offers to stay with Britt, but she asks for him to leave her office so she can be alone.  Once by herself and overcome with the news she received (and looking at her framed medical license and business card which says that Britt is Co-Chief of Staff of General Hospital), she finally loses it and tears up her office.  Cody (Josh Kelly) comes upon her, when she is left holding the necklace she found in Peter’s possessions which are the diamonds of the Ice Princess.

Britt is in tears and tells Cody that when she found out her father, Faison had died, she thought it was finally over. However, his reach extends far beyond the grave! Britt is in disbelief that she wasted so much time seeking his approval.  Cody tries to calm Britt down by telling her she is worth loving.  Britt remarks, “Even with what’s been passed down to me?”  Cody is confused and thinks she is talking about the necklace which now makes Britt believe that Cody was only into her for the diamonds.

Later, in the most gut-wrenching and emotional scenes, Britt confesses to her mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) that her disease has progressed. Obrecht wants to get her to a specialist in Toronto, but Britt says she just met with her and she informs her mother she has five to fifteen years to live – and a year and a half before she may require full-time care.  Obrecht promises they will fight this. An overcome Britt asks her to just stop because she doesn’t need a doctor … she needs a mom.  The two embrace, but Obrecht cries Britt deserved a better mother than her. Kathleen Gati and Kelly Thiebaud were extremely touching and effective in these scenes.

When looking at the totality of the arc of this story that played out last week, and the understated and beautiful work of Kelly Thiebaud, it is without question Michael Fairman TV gives our Power Performance of the Week honors to Kelly.

So, what did you think of Kelly’s performances as Britt learns what she will now be faced with in the years ahead and the aftermath? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

AEW DYNAMITE: The Elite Mock CM Punk In Chi-Town; Jon Moxley Confronts William Regal After ‘Full Gear’ Swerve

Anticipation was high for Wednesday night’s Thanksgiving Eve AEW Dynamite on TBS.  There were plenty of questions to be answered from the fallout from the Full Gear pay-per-view.

Airing live from Chicago, the show opened with William Regal, who came to the ring to address the crowd who were already hostile towards him for his heel turn during Full Gear.  Regal, who had been the manager of the Blackpool Combat Club, and supposedly in then champion Jon Moxley’s corner at Full Gear, passed brass knuckles to MJF, who used them on Moxley to become the new AEW World Champion.  On ‘Dynamite’, Regal had some explaining to do, only we never got the explanation!

When Jon Moxley came to the ring to confront Regal for his betrayal, out came Bryan Danielson.  Danielson pleaded with Mox to not attack Regal, followed by Danielson slapping the former champ in the face.  Moxley eventually told Regal: Lordship, I only want one thing from you.  I want you to run. Run far away, as far away as you can, and you never, ever come back. Right now. Walk. And keep on walking.”

Next, Regal left the ring and headed to the back, but is it for good? Previously, Regal told the crowd, MJF was off shooting a motion picture (The Iron Claw) and would return to ‘Dynamite’ next week and all would be explained.  AEW fans in attendance and the viewers at home were left with basically no answers … for now.

In another major development, during the second in the best of seven trios matches between The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson) and AEW Trios Champs, Death Triangle (Pac, Rey Fenix, and Penta El Zero Miedo), The Elite effectively mocked CM Punk in the ring during the match.

This did not sit-well with the fans from Chicago.  After all, Punk is their hometown boy.  When Omega bit Pac during the match, it was a mocking of Punk’s friend Ace Steel allegedly biting Omega in the backstage brawl a few months back. Then, Omega hit Punk’s finisher, the GTS to try to pin Pac.

Later, Matt Jackson executed Hangman Adam Page’s signature move, the Buckshot Lariat, but as if he were Punk in his championship match with Page.  In that match, Punk botched the move several times.  It should also be noted, The Elite are friends with Page.

In the end, Death Triangle (using a hammer again) won the match going up 2-o in the best of seven series.

One thing is for sure, Wrestling Observer noted that people in Punk’s camp were not happy with the mockery The Elite made of the backstage brawl, and Punk in the ring, during their match on ‘Dynamite’.

So, why do you think William Regal aligned with MJF? Do you think CM Punk could be on his way back after he is healed from his torn tricep surgery, or is he on his way out of AEW with a contract buyout as has been previously rumored? Share your thoughts in the comment section, but first check out the action of what went down on “Dynamite’ below.
