At Gloworm, while trying to help Gloria with her new electronic registers, Kevin is blindsided when Gloria gives Kevin his divorce papers from Michael just as Chloe arrives with the new issue of RS. Overwhelmed and uncertain about what he wants, Kevin walks out on Gloria and Chloe, who are advising him to close the door on his marriage. Later, Chloe ends up consoling Jana when she breaks into tears over losing Kevin. Victoria prepares to tell Nikki the news about her and Billy’s new home. At the ranch, after a sleepless night, Nikki admits to Victor that she was suddenly hit with the urge to drink and wonders where it came from. Meggie listens out of sight, secretly thrilled that her plan is working. Later, Nikki is going through old family photos when Victoria arrives. Victoria tells Nikki about the house and Nikki takes it in stride until she learns that Victoria bought the house together, they aren’t renting. However, no one is more stunned than Victor when he runs into Billy at the gym and sees his tattoo. Jack and Ashley wonder how Victor persuaded Adam to drop his suit against the Newmans and realize that Skye may know something. Meanwhile, Adam warns Skye about interfering with the suit against the Abbotts after what she did with the Newmans. Later, while waiting to meet with Skye, Jack hears that Victoria and Billy bought a house together from Gloria. When Skye arrives she tells Jack that she isn’t telling him anything about the lawsuit unless there is something in it for her. Meanwhile, Ashley confronts Adam who tries to play the victim but Ashley won’t have it and promises him that she will find out what Victor has on him and use it to nail him to the wall. Nikki isn’t sure of Victoria’s decision but Victoria tells her that because of Billy she is moving on with her life and enjoying it and she doesn’t care what Victor thinks anymore. Meanwhile, both Billy and Victor find a moment of humor as Billy explains why he has a tattoo of Victor’s name on his back instead of Victoria’s name. Later, Billy and Victoria aren’t sure if they should laugh or be wary when Victor sends a tattoo artist to the trailer to finish Billy’s tattoo. Once complete, Billy and Victoria admire the work before leaving to their new home. Skye tells Jack that she wants his contacts to invest in the Newman Fund before she says a word and Jack makes good immediately. Skye turns right around and tells Jack that she was the reason that Adam had to drop the lawsuit against Victor. Meanwhile, Meggie purposefully steers her conversation with Nikki towards alcohol, trying to continue to push Nikki to the edge. Later, Skye tells Adam about her meeting with Jack and threatens that if Adam doesn’t drop the suit against the Abbotts she will tell Jack everything. At Gloworm, Victor meets with Jack and Ashley to tell them what he found out from Skye and Ashley is stunned at the depths of Adam’s cruelty. Ashley leaves as Billy and Victoria arrive to meet Gloria and Jack tells Victor that Billy and Victoria bought a house together.  Jana is crushed when Kevin presents her with the divorce papers and runs out of the coffeehouse without taking them. Later, Jana and Kevin sit together as they look at the papers and Jana asks Kevin for one last chance. Kevin responds by signing the papers and saying goodbye. Meggie spikes a smoothie with alcohol and gives it Nikki. Meanwhile, Victoria is stung by Victor’s seeming indifference to her news about her moving in with Billy. Later, Ashley vows to take everything from Adam that he took from her.

Jack is forced to cover with Ashley when she tells him that Abby is suing Victor for mismanagement of her trust and she tells him that Victor thinks Jack is behind it. Meanwhile, Victor has bigger problems than Abby when he realizes that Victoria and Billy are having a baby and getting married. Vance tells her, however, that she may not be able to have one without the other. Meanwhile, Jack’s concern grows when he learns from Ashley that Victor plans to dismantle Abby’s trust. Jack asks Ashley to consider that Abby could be right about Victor’s handling of her trust. Later, Abby perks up when Vance tells her that he believes Victor will offer her a settlement. Nikki tries to get Victor to reconsider his position about Billy and Victoria, especially since they are expecting a child but he refuses. Victor leaves to go deal with Abby and Nikki calls Victoria who tells Nikki that they are going to Vegas to get married and although disappointed, Nikki supports Victoria. Meanwhile, Victor goes to see Ashley and Jack to tell them about Billy and Victoria’s news and Jack is no more pleased about it than Victor. Ashley tells them to leave Billy and Victoria alone but Victor tells them that he plans to stop the wedding. Later, Nikki calls Victoria to tell her that she was able to get the waiting period on the marriage license waived so that she and Billy can get married in Genoa City tomorrow.  At Ronan’s motel, Chance confronts his brother for the first time since learning the truth and Ronan doesn’t deny it. Chance attacks him and Ronan tells him to back off and he’ll tell him everything. Meanwhile, Heather shows up at the coffeehouse, visibly upset and tells Nina and Paul that she doesn’t know who she can trust. Paul sends Nina out of the room so that he can call Christine to get background on Ronan. Later, after Ronan tells Chance his story behind closed doors, Chloe shows up at the motel and Ronan is furious with her for opening her mouth. Chance tells Chloe tomorrow this will all be over. In her room, Ronan calls Owen to tell him that Chance will be at the meeting and he has no idea he is walking into a trap. Vance tells Abby that if Victor isn’t willing to settle she needs to decide how far she is willing to take this lawsuit. Billy and Victoria decide that they want a traditional wedding with their friends and family. Later, when Nikki tells Victor that she is helping Victoria and Billy with their wedding, Victor makes a mysterious call to stop the wedding.

Billy sees that his guests aren’t very thrilled about being at his wedding so he thanks them for coming and tells them that as soon as Victoria is ready they will get the show on the road. Meanwhile, Victoria is horrified when she sees that Gloria hired Deacon to be the bartender at her wedding when the original bartender had an emergency. Later, Gloria is forced to fire Deacon but Phyllis sees him and decides to invite him as her plus one as a way to stick it to Nick. Chance meets with Heather to apologize to her and ask her to forgive him for biting her head off about going to Ronan. Heather wonders what is going on and asks if he is trying to say goodbye. Chance tells Heather about the drug deal and Heather is immediately panicked. She pleads with him not to go, finally admitting that she loves him, but Chance promises Heather that he will come back to her. Meanwhile, Ronan meets with Owen and Owen tells him that he will be there tonight when Chance arrives and Ronan doesn’t take care of Chance then Owen will have to deal with both of them. Mac and Billy share a close moment as Billy thanks Mac for smacking some sense into him and he tells her that he will always love her. Nearby, Jack, Abby, Ashley and Vance wonder if Victor will show up and blow this wedding to hell. Meanwhile, Victor has memories of his little girl. Later, Billy starts to freak a little when Nikki tells him it is time to get the show on the road. Just as Victoria is about to start down the aisle, Nick steps in and stops her, saying he is about to let her do this on her own. DANCING WITH THE STARS: Chrishell Stause Shares & Performs Emotional Tribute To Her Late Parents

It has been a challenging few years for former soap and current Selling Sunset star, Chrishell Stause, who is currently still in the running for the Mirror Ball Trophy following Monday night’s competition on Dancing with the Stars.

Last night, Chrishell shared in the pre-dance package that she was performing a contemporary routine with her pro partner, Gleb Savchenko, in honor of both of her parents who died from lung cancer in July of 2020 and April 2019.

Photo: ABC

Stause expressed: “They were really loving people. Some of my best memories are with my mom, dancing with her in the living room.  No one would be more excited about me being here and doing the show than her.” (referring to her mom who passed away this summer).  She continued on to say: “Right before I dance, I really feel her calm me, encourage me. That has been the most special thing I will take away from this show.  I know that my parents are with me. My mom’s name was Renee Stause, and my dad’s name was Jeff Stause. And this dance is for them.”

Dancing to “Stars” by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Chrishell and Gleb delivered the most emotional performance of the night.  And the judges took notice, as Carrie Ann Inaba said to Stause: “You poured your heart and soul into that dance.   Bruno added: “That was so emotionally engaging, so raw, so truthful, irresistible because you gave everything you have.”  While the three judges including Derek Hough also gave a rougher technical critique of her to improve upon next week, Chrishell and Gleb still scored all eights and 24 out of 30 overall.

At the end of the night, during the reveal of who was safe and who was in the bottom two, host Tyra Banks revealed that Chrishell and Gleb were safe.

Then, after combining the scores and fans’ votes, in the bottom two were Johnny Weir and Vernon Davis.  In a close decision, Derek chose to save Johnny, and Carrie Ann chose Vernon. So, it was up to Bruno to cast the deciding vote and he saved Johnny, sending Davis, the former NFL Pro football star, home.

Watch Chrishell’s emotional dance below.   Then let us know if you are rooting for Chrishell and what you thought of the very personal story she shared last night via the comment section below.

DANCING WITH THE STARS: Jesse Metcalfe Eliminated, Chrishell Stause Gets A Surprise From NKOTB

Last night on  ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, another soap opera alumni’s journey on the ballroom dance floor came to an end, when Jesse Metcalfe’s (Passions, Desperate Houswives and Dallas) ) and his pro partner, Sharna Burgess, were sent home by the judges after landing in the bottom two.

After combining the judges scores and fan voting at home, the other couple joining Jesse and Sharna in the bottom two were  Vernon Davis and Peta Murgatroyd.  This season it is up to the judges to choose who stays and who goes when forced with picking between the two lowest scoring couples of the night.. Bruno chose Vernon, Carrie Ann followed and Derek also revealed he would have saved Davis or Metcalfe as well.

Photo: ABC

With Metcalfe eliminated following last’s week’s departure of Ex-Another World’s Anne Heche, that leaves only Chrishell Stause still in the running vying for the Mirror Ball Trophy from the world of daytime drama.

Here’s a recap of what went down on the dance floor for Metcalfe, Stause and Davis last night.

Jesse Metcalfe and Sharna Burgess – (Tango) – “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”

Dancing to the classic by Tears for Fears, Metcalfe promised in the pre-package to loosen up and show a more human and vulnerable side to his dancing.  However, although there was a bit more coming from Jesse this outing, the judges criticized him for needing more technique than just performance. SCORE 19 out of 30

Photo: ABC

Chrishell Stause and Gleb Savchenko (Cha-Cha)  – “The Right Stuff”

Revealing to all on the pre-package, Chrishell is a huge New Kids on the Block fan from back in her teens, and was stoked to dance to their song during the night’s 80’s competition,   However, during the performance, while Stause has shown improvement, this time the judges noted she seemed to slow down to much during the dance and also she needs to watch her footwork.  After Gleb and Chrishell danced, Tyra Banks had a surprise for Chrishell when the NKOTB sent in a viral video message to their biggest fan!  Stause was overjoyed.  SCORE 19 out of 30

Vernon Davis and Peta Murgatroyd –  (Tango) – “Living’ on a Prayer”

Performing to Bon Jovi’s classic “Living on a Prayer”, Davis donned some rocker dude long locks and hit the floor with Murgatroyd, but the former pro football star looked stiff moving around the ballroom.  Judge Bruno noted that his footwork was a bit flat.  However, Carrie Ann shared she liked the quality of movement he was showing them.  SCORE 21 out of 30

So after looking at the clips of their performances below, did the right person get sent home in Metcalfe vs. Davis?  Do you think Chrishell can hold out longer on the series through the next rounds of competition?  Let us know in the comments section. (Also check out the moment when NKOTB message to Stause is played during the broadcast.)

General Hospital

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Mike’s Funeral Brings The Alzheimer’s Storyline Full Circle to Its Heart-Tugging Conclusion

When a soap opera allows a full episode to stay in the story they are telling, it can often make for a riveting hour of television.  This was the case and then some on Thursday’s emotional ending to General Hospital’s Alzheimer’s storyline; when the character of Mike Corbin (Max Gail) was given a proper send-off – a funeral – and being eulogized by those who loved and cared for him.

When GH is at its best through the years has been when it tackles social issues of our time, and this story will stand among the iconic soap’s best.  The backdrop of the story was that of father and son, grappling with and coming to terms with the past, finding love, forgiveness and redemption against this most horrific of diseases that has afflicted so many.

In the episode, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) go to church and prepare themselves for the emotional day as mourners come through and share their grief and condolensces and love for Mike.  Those included: Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth – back for this one), Stella (Vernee Watson), Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and a touching moment between Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) and Carly where the legal eagle says to Carly that if she ever needs to drink and vent let her know.

As the funeral begins, one by one Mike’s family and friends say beautiful words of what he meant to them,. Michael reflects about how his grandfather loved to party and how he’d like them all to raise a glass for him. . Olivia, speaks on behalf of Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), and how close Mike and Dante were.  Ava (Maura West) talks about the love and kindness and joy he brought to little Avery.

When Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) got up to speak, things became even more heartbreaking when she flashes back to a scene where she was having a terrible time and Mike was there for – always a great listener- but he tells he eventually, he will not remember her.

GH did a outstanding job of selecting scenes throughout the eulogies that punctuated who Mike was … and how he tied in to all of the characters lives.  Jason (Steve Burton) shared how he knew it wasn’t easy for Mike to come back and try to make amends with Sonny, but that no matter what, Mike kept trying to get through to Sonny to make things right between them.

Stella’s moment was also heartbreaking recalling the man who became her friend.  Carly, who was the glue that held Sonny and the family together during Mike’s illness, shared her doubt if the family could handle Mike, and what was to come, but how Sonny helped his father find inner-peace..

When Sonny gets up to talk he reveals he had a lot of anger towards his father, and how the illness made him truly see the man his dad was inside.  Sonny tells his dad he is proud of him and how grateful he was that he came back into his life.   Next, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) sings as the mourners reflect back on Mike in a touching series of juxtaposed clips against the characters in the moment at the funeral.

After the service had concluded Sonny and Carly talk how Morgan and Mike are together now, but Sonny asks for some time alone in the church. It is then Mike appears and tells his son it’s time he forgave himself, since Sonny forgave Mike.  He tells Sonny that he has made him very proud.  As he gets up to leave he kisses Sonny on the forehead and goes towards the light and to heaven.  Just after that, Dante appears at the front of the church, shocking Sonny in a beautiful analogy that now this father and son must deal with what’s ahead in their relationship, just as Sonny and Mike had done.

This episode featured beautiful work by Maurice Benard, and Max Gail and everyone in the supporting cast who had their moments.  It was an ensemble piece but led by Benard and Gail, who should both be receiving Emmys in 2021 for their work..
