Y&R Sneak Peek: Adam is Shot As Nikki & Victor's Reception Is About To Explode!

Courtesy/CBS
As The Young and the Restless takes a few days off the airwaves to accommodate the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, it will return this Monday March 25th with some blockbuster episodes to celebrate the series 40th anniversary!
In this sneak peek video from Monday’s episode via CBS com, Adam (Michael Muhney) has been shot in the back at the wedding reception of Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden), thanks to Bob, the henchmen of Congressman Wheeler (Mark Pinter) who wants payback on Victor Newman! And it looks like Adam gets in the way or saved the day, according to this week’s Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now!
Meanwhile, there is a ticking time bomb rigged that is set to explode and blow the rest of the Newmans and their wedding guests to smithereens!
Watch the sneak peek preview and let us know what you think will happen to Adam and the rest of the Newman clan?
Can’t load the video but that pic for Nikki and Victor’s wedding makes me laugh. What is Tyler doing in it? He has nothing to do with the wedding. And Billy. What an odd expression on his face.
Maybe Tyler is there as a hint that he might turn out to b another Newman?
I’d love to think so but knowing JFP, it is probaby because she thinks we viewers find him sexy and therefore he must be in every ad.
Adam is the new Victor and Sharon is his Nikki. These past few days proves more than ever Sharon and Adams love is amazing. The love is true soap couple powerful meant to last. 🙂
NO MORE VICTOR AND NIKKI! Move over we have Sharon and Adam now! They are the power couple now! Nikki and this MS story booooooo
I hope Victor will see who his devoted child is. Adam took the bullet for Victor not those kids who stole 1.5 billion from him. I hope Adam and Sharon marry and they respect them
Adam is the better son. Victor and Nikki treat everyone like they are less of a human. The way Victoria and Nikki treated Sharon when she came to pick up HER own child is really getting old . I am tired of The Newmans stuck up ways. I am all for the Abbotts. I hope Sharon and Adam run off and marry and keep Newman. Dylan being Sharons brother is brilliant.
How the heck can Sharon be Dylans brother? I was hoping theywould hook=up to get Nick mad…:) I like Adam he always get the shit end of things..Although in the begining he was nuts!
Sharon has been wearing the St Christopher patron saint travel necklace in gold and Dylans been holding his fathers medal that matches. They make great siblings and it is about time a awesome character like Sharon has a brother to lean on. She also needs a brother to walk her down the isle to Adam 🙂
Hello Dylan is Nick Newman’s brother not Sharon’s.
He’s Nikki’s long lost son. Adam is with Chealsea and they haver connor. Sharon changed Summer’s DNA to look like Jackass Abbott is the dad and Nick is really the real dad. & hello, Abby is with Tyler (sexy). Niel is marrying Leslie & Dylan is dating Avery after he devoriced Chelsea. Delia is dead because of Adam and he won’t admit it! Ugh… & Billy cheated on Vikki with Kelly & won’t tell Vikki which is so not cool. Victor and Nikki are still their usual annoying selves. Sharon almost killed Phillys by pushing her down the steps and now Phillys is in a coma. Stitch ismaking a new life for himself in Genoea City what is wrong with all this? Oh yah its drama always drama
This will be stage 2 on Jill farren phelps plan to destroy the show
.
Get off this board if you’re going to critize! Y&R is doing a lot better!
First of all don’t tell me what to do. I will critizize what needs to be brought up. i think its good how Adam took a bullet for victor. i hate that for the anniversary we get another victor drama like episode 10000. second it is necessary for a bomb to go off. no one will die and it runs up the budget. reminds me of clear springs
I agree, no one is going to die as a result of this bomb so what’s the point???
Anyone could see this coming a mile away..
Y&R is the most transparent soap, no spoilers need..
1( no dies on Y&R (they do GH
2( no bombs go off on Y&R (they do GH
3( nobody gets killed/murdered on Y&R ( they do on GH
Like Victoria’s kidnapped story; was dull, uneventful and boring fluff.
(they are full of thrills and suspense on GH
Y&R has no villains/bad people (wheeler is a powder puff and victor is only an ass)
Y&R is drama free and no suspense, it is all business grudges and couple problems.
I keep watching with hopes that one day Y&R will have me on the edge of my seat, so far it is nowhere close, but I watch with high hope ( I should no better lol ..
If all you’re going to do is criticize, do all of us Y&R fans a favor and stop watching.
Uh, Mike, I think that’s the point. Y&R has become so boring many of us HAVE stopped watching this once great show. If that clip is any indication of the calibre of acting on Y&R these days, I’m glad I’m doing something productive with the hour I’m not watching. Where was the drama? They all phoned it in. Yawn.
@Rodd,
Everyone has an opinion. The show has been the #1 daytime drama for over 20 years. They must be doing something right. Many of us long time fans have gotten used to the writing, acting, and pacing of the show and enjoy it as is. GH is a show that frequently puts their characters in more dramatic, adventurous, cliffhanger type storylines which is fine if you enjoy that kind of soap. Some of us prefer to watch something more character driven, with well written dialog, and more reality based. To each their own.
What are you talking about no one dies on Y&R- what about Diana- got her skull crushed. That lady who Jenna murdered. Adam’s wife fell into a volcano. Brad drowned in the lake, as well as his daughter Colleen. Cassie got in a car accident and died. Victor’s wife- the one that was a friend of Victoria’s- another car accident, she died and the baby she was carrying died. John Abbott died- do I need to go on— no Y&R isn’t GH, nor do I want it to be- they are different shows about different things- but to say no one dies on the show is just not true. This trouble with this show is– it has drama- it’s just the drama is so predictable — the writers need throw a surprise in now and then.– but all shows have their flaws and we all watch despite them. But sometimes if show has gotten to point where you can’t see anything good in it, maybe it is time to change the channel.
That made me laugh! Great observations.
Hopefully this will bring Victor and Adam closer together. I love the character of Adam and I agree with the others that I don’t like how the rest of the family treat him.
If i was Adam id be smart and have nothing to with them. They might get closer…but somehow i dont feel that will last long knowing how they feel about Sharon. They may accept Adam but i dont feel theyll welcome Sharon with open arms so i expect more conflict ahead between Adam and his uppity family who act as if they could do no wrong and are above all others.
Poor Vic- he is very much like King Lear, always trying to figure out which of his children loves him the most so he can give them the throne. And like King Lear, the child he thinks loves him least, is the child that loves him the most, but doesn’t realized it until it is too late. I guess it is those tragic elements in their relationship that make Adam and Victor’s relationship one of the most interesting of the show. So I agree Adam would be smart not to cave in and play Victor’s game. Be his own man- don’t wait for daddy to give you the throne- take it and keep it for yourself- and make Sharon your queen. This will keep the drama going for years to come.
Sharon and Adam need to get married and forget Victor and nasty Nikki. They are so stuck up.
I hope Adam is not killed and he and Victor get reunited. Pau will come and save the ranch as they will not want to rebuild again. I think the show is doing wel need some more suspence but overall good…
I agree Gary- they cannot seriously expect us to believe they are going to blow up the ranch this soon after rebuilding it- so where is the drama? Of course someone will stop the bomb before it blows up.
And if they want to build suspense- why spoil their own cliffhanger but announcing who gets shot? Isn’t the point of a cliffhanger to get people to tune in to see what happens when the show resumes? I guess we will have to wait to see how badly Adam is hurt, so there is some reason to tune in on Monday—
but suspense is a soap’s bread and butter- you have to leave a question mark at the end of each show to get the viewer come back tomorrow to see what happens. But I agree still a good show even with its flaws.
I hope Adam will be okay to marry Sharon and get the baby away from that con artist Chelsea !
I love Adam!!! Way to go Adam! Daddy had better be a bit grateful you took the bullit for him. They will either stop the bomb or get out first.
I still think Wheeler could turn out to be the father of Leslie/Valerie…hope the bomb goes off(that would be dynamite!) Bet a lot of people wish Chelsea was at the wedding and took the bullet or be the bomb victim just to see her killed off! Maybe Neil will marry Leslie and something shocking will happen there like Dru jumping out of the wedding cake! Now that would be the bomb!
I like Chelsea. I think if Dylan is Sharon’s brother, it opens up the possibility for a storyline where Dylan pretends to be Chelsea’s baby daddy. Shades of Jason/Sam when he was going to raise Sam’s baby by Sonny. I feel like TPTB may be trying to recreate the magic that was an amazing storyline hopefully with better results (Sam’s baby died).
I like Chelsea too. I wish her and Adam would get back together and raise their baby with love and respect.. from both mom & dad…something neither Chelsea or Adam had as children.
Sharon & Adam in my view are not good for each other in a long relationship. Too many twisted emotions.
In speaking of relationships this is what I see….
Phylis & Jack have emotional baggage but they are so similar in their needs and temperment.. I think they make an excllent couple.
I love, love. love Billy and Victoria together…they are awesome as a couple and fun to watch.
As for Michael & Loren..they are rather boring..Michael is a hothead… and Loren is sexy and beautiful.. no wonder they have her w/ a younger guy.
Nick is my favorite character. I admire his principles and his faithfulness to family. He’s a good role model for dads. However, he doesn’t seem to fit with Avery. Her personality is too old for him.
I hope Kane & Lily stay together and raise those two cute little twins. They are fantastic together… real chemistry…you just want to see them happy together..hopefully forever.
So glad to see Victor & Nickie married and so in love ..as it should be.I would like to see them getting older..wiser..appreciating life ..letting go of control and business. They are the heart of the show. They are the ones that keep it all together. When they are right with each other the world seems a better place. Nickie’s illness ..could cure Victor for the good.
What can I say… I do love romance and happy endings…..
For the rest of the crew…let the drama begin..or I should say continue!
Leave it to JFP to celebrate a milestone with Violence, on a show that has been less violent.
Exactly
I know its not built yet, but i would have liked to have seen Victor take Nikki on a honeymoon on the New Titanic boat being replicated…that would have been neat seeing Eric Braedan on that ship having costared in the 1997 Titanic film.
I would love it if Victor got close to Adam and they became a close father & son.
Maybe Victor will realize that Adam saved his life.
I’m so sick of the way the Neumans treat Sharon. Who do they think they are. They
have money back lack substance. Why didn’t Nick stick up for Sharon. He just let
his family insult her. He was the one who ph. Sharon to pick up Faith.
I agree Carolyn I am sick of the Newmans and the way they treat Sharon! Down right disgusting! Team Shadam and team Abbott family
Thanks Kay, I used to be a Shick fan but because Adam has always
treated Sharon so well I find I am warming up to him. They definitely have
chemistry. I love Sharon Case, she is beautiful & talented but is given such
awful storylines. Wasn’t it wonderful when Dru was on the show. She &
Sharon were such good friends.`
Hate CBS that they had basketball on yesterday and today. Totally sucks. I want to see what happens!
You think Victoria,Nick or Abby will think him for saving their father. Sharon hit it on the head deep down Adam wants his father’s approval and he is the only one with a brain in his head to run Newman. MM was a find he really is a good actor the only thing I am upset with is we did not need another baby on this show. Why did the writers go there with Chelsea? Remember no show is going to be spot on all the time.
I only became a Y&R viewer when Mark Pinter joined the cast as Congressman Wheeler. I am sad to say that they waisted this mans talents.Mark Pinter is a powerful actor and his presence in a scene is overwhelming but TPTB on Y&R have no idea what to do with him. His scence are cut to seconds at a time with Eric (victor) who could never be on the same stage & hold his own with Mark. The best thing they could do is kill this character and Mark Pinter go back to the stage where you are appreciated as an actor of quality! Y&R SUCKS!!
I am enjoying Y&R more and more these days. Love Adam Newman and he better not die. Michael Muhney and Sharon Case are the best actor and actress ever on daytime t.v. They are a beautiful, magical talented couple who never ever should have broken up. They need to be back together, marry and have a little girl named Hope, after Adams mother.
Chelsea does not love Adam. She left him in critical condition at the hospital and did not stick around to even see what his condition was. Those of you who claim Y&R is boring and no drama must not watch the show. I watch the entire show daily, never fast forward through anyone and I thoroughly enjoy it. Y&R has the best looking cast of any other soap, both male and female, most talented actors and actresses of any other soap, and it is the best written soap on t.v. and it has not been #1 soap for 24 years for no reason. It is the best and getting better by the day.
I loved the celebration for the 40years. I am enjoying all the intros done by the cast. Loved Michael Muhneys and Sharon Case, , and Eric Bradens the best. Loved all of them really but these were the best to me. Loved the 8 cast members on The Talk. Very entertaining and funny. Just love seeing the cast members in other elements other than their role on t.v. They are all so down to earth and just beautiful people.
With all the new cast as well as the older cast members, I predict Y&R will be around for another 40 years. It will be around for more generations to enjoy.
To answer the question pertaining to this article, I loved the Killer Wedding. I love Adam Newman and I will love Victor Newman again, if he will continue to show love for Adam. Right now Adam has gone into a coma from a blood clot on the brain and only Sharon was at the hospital with him. No other family members are there. Where are they? Bring on Shadam. They love each other and deserve another chance. Please make Dillon Sharons brother and not another lover for her. She needs Adam and Adam needs Sharon. Loving my favorite soap. Cannot wait to see what is going to happen to my sexy, bad boy Adam Newman.

General Hospital
GH and OLTL Alum Patrick J. Gibbons Reveals the Story Behind Writing Trina’s Song on ‘General Hospital’ (Exclusive)

At the conclusion of today’s August 21 episode of General Hospital, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) sings a lullaby to baby Dez, that went into a montage to close out the episode as her father Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) reports to Pentonville and winds up in his jail cell.
However, in a fun fact, the song entitled, “A Lonely Heart To Give” was actually written by none other than former One Life to Live and General Hospital actor, Patrick J. Gibbons.
Daytime fans first met Gibbons as Sam Manning on One Life to Live. At the time, when he started on the soap, he was just 5-years-old. Gibbons played the part from 2010-2013 on ABC and Prospect Park’s editions of the show. Fast-forward to 2018, Gibbons shows up on General Hospital as Wyatt Hoover, the scout who seemed always be injured, but in the thick of the drama. Patrick had appeared on GH multiple times as Wyatt including: 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023.

FROM HIS GRANDMOTHER’S DEATH CAME THE INSPIRATION FOR HIS SONG
Now in 2026, General Hospital fans are getting to learn about another side of Gibbons’ talent as a songwriter and guitar player after “A Lonely Heart to Give” debuted today! Michael Fairman TV caught up with Patrick, who is now a senior at Penn State entering his final year as a finance major, to get the back-story of how his song wound up on GH!
Gibbons explained he wrote the song in honor of his grandmother who passed away a few years ago with whom he was, very, very close with. “Randomly, my grandmother had a downfall and passed away during the second semester of my sophomore year. I was in my dorm a lot and I was just playing with my guitar. And at the time, I was really into finger-style playing. I wrote the lyric and music to it (with a little help from my guitar teacher Lou), and my mom showed the rough demo to Frank Valentini (EP, General Hospital). He’s like an uncle to me. Frank loved it so much he said, “Finish that up. I want to hear the whole thing, and I want it on the show.”
MAKING MUSIC FOR GENERAL HOSPITAL
Gibbons and his parents took the next steps! “So now, all we needed was a female voice, because I thought that would fit the song well,” Patrick shared. “At the golf club we go to my parents were at a dinner. They liked the singer that was performing and spoke to her about the song, and she says she would like to bring it to her ‘boss’ who ended up being Eric Bazilian of the Hooters fame!” (Bazilian also wrote the smash hit song “One of Us” for Joan Osborne).
Next, “We went in the studio and recorded it and the song came together and it was beautiful. We loved it. They loved it at General Hospital and now they’re putting it the show and they are coming in with a piano, instead of a guitar. Paul Glass, the GH musical director, has been keeping us updated over the last six months of how it was coming along, and when it would air, and how GH put their own arrangement to it. I can’t wait to see and hear what they did with it.”

PATRICK’S ONE LIFE TO LIVE FAMILY
Everyone knows that the One Life to Live extended family share a very tight bond, and Patrick said he does stay in touch with a few of his former One Life to Live co-stars, especially those from the Manning family! “I stayed in touch with Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair) and sent her little videos here and there. She was like my second mom for five years. We keep in contact with Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr) over X the most, and she can’t believe how big I’ve gotten. Like, none of them can! (laughs). I also loved working with Roger Howarth (ex-Todd) and Trevor St. John (ex-Todd and Victor Jr.), and to me since I was so young, they were just my friends, ‘Roger and Trevor,’ not Todd Manning or Victor Jr.”
It was a trip to California and a visit to Port Charles that ultimately led to Gibbons second soap role of Wyatt Hoover. Patrick explains, “In 2016, Frank Valentini invited us out to Los Angeles to visit the set of General Hospital. I think he heard me say, ‘This is so much fun. I miss being on the set.’ He goes, ‘You should come out. I’ll bring you on the show. We can make you a character.'”
A few years later, Patrick’s dream became a reality! “Then, by the summer of 2018, I was playing Wyatt, the scout, and shared scenes with Wes Ramsey (Peter August), and the best was when I shared a scene with Roger Howarth and Michael Easton (ex-John, OLTL and ex-Silas, Finn et al, GH), it was like chemistry from the old days.”

IT’S ALL IN THE NUMBERS
As to his future aspirations, it’s a career in the finance game that has piqued Gibbons’ real-life interest. But never say never to a return to acting. Patrick explained, “I’ve always enjoyed numbers. And on top of that, one of the biggest parts of finance is being personable and outgoing.”
He continued, “That’s one of the greatest skills I developed growing up. I really love the markets. I’m super interested. I’m never going to close the door to acting. I’m always open to that because I just love it so much. It’s such a great art.”
Take note! If there are any investment bankers or private equity folks among the GH faithful looking for a young analyst next year, Patrick’s DMs are open. You can find him on X at @PatrickJGibbons.”
So, what did you think of the song sung by Trina on today’s GH that was written by Patrick J. Gibbons? Did you enjoy Patrick’s performances as One Life’s Sam and GH’s Wyatt? Would you like to see him back on GH at some point? Let us know via the comment section.
Guiding Light
‘Guiding Light’s’ Grant Aleksander Shares Heartfelt Remembrance of TV Daughter, Hayden Panettiere On What Would Have Been Her 37th Birthday

The tragic death of Hayden Panettiere last Sunday on August 21 continues to rock the entertainment world as her passing is still under investigation. Sadly, the former Guiding Light and Nashville star, died just days before her 37th birthday.
Now Grant Aleksander who played her on-screen father, Phillip Spaulding on Guiding Light a role he played on and off for nearly 30 years, shared a touching tribute with The Locher Room via Instagram, to his former TV daughter on her birthday on Friday, August 21.
It was back in 1996-2000 that Panettiere played the role of Phillip and Beth’s (Beth Chamberlin) daughter, Lizzie Spaulding. When Hayden was on-screen her performances were outstanding even as a little girl.

Photo: CBS
Aleksander began, When I think of Hayden the first image that comes is of her running down the hall in the studio with a huge, toothy grin on her face. Literally bursting with joy. And that’s what she gave to us. Pure, infectious joy. That and a talent that belied her years.”
“She was a natural with an instinctive understanding of acting that most adult actors can only dream of possessing. But that’s not what I’ll remember most about her. It’s that sunshine she brought to all of us that were lucky enough to be in her orbit that will stay with me, expressed Grant.
He concluded with, “I’ll always cherish the years I got to be her tv Dad. I wish I could have seen her one more time just to tell her how proud I was of her. She’s left us way too soon. We can only hope that she’s finally found the peace that eluded her in her short life. Rest in peace Princess!”
Michael Fairman TV previously shared emotional tributes from many of Hayden’s co-stars here, plus Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky, GH and ex-Avery, Nashville) who wrote a beautiful tribute to his former co-star.
So, do you remember the scenes between a young Lizzie and Phillip on Guiding Light? What did you think of Grant Aleksander’s words? Let us know via the comment section below. Here’s just a sampling below, of how great Hayden was with her scene partner, Grant.
