2013 Daytime Emmy winner for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, Doug Davidson (Paul) of The Young and the Restless had a very special and enduring friendship with the late Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor).

Davidson took to his Twitter account recently to share with his followers and fans of Y&R, the special placard that now appears on Jeanne Cooper’s dressing room door at CBS!

Cooper, the soap icon and most beloved character in the history of Y&R, passed away on May 8th.  The series is currently crafting the story to deal with Katherine Chancellor’s death and how it will resonate with the citizens in Genoa City.

The special placard now at the soundstages of Y&R and CBS reads: “Jeanne Cooper Dressing Room … The Door Was Always Open”

GH without Edward and Lila, DOOLS without Tom and Alice, AMC without Phoebe, and now Y&R waithout Katherine. These shows never feel the same once they loose their patriarchs and matriarchs…a huge void difficult to fill. There are others to take their place but you can still tell something is missing but in the end we and the show must go on.

It’s hanging on her dressing room door? Is the DR being used? Confused as to why it says, “Do not enter.”

That’s very nice. She is obviously greatly missed by her castmates.

I sure do miss her as she was ; a force to be reckoned with. I remember what an impact she made to the show when they aired her face lift on Y&R. Such a remarkable actress and I bet she was a friend to many of the soap world. I am proud to have watched a legend being born throughout her years on t.v. Rest now, dear one.

I am so thrilled that you have won! I was listening to a radio broadcast a few weeks back and so enjoyed your conversations and stories that you shared with us. You were hoping that this was your year and you finally got your wish. So proud of you Doug!
Although I never met Jeanne, I feel she is part of my family. I’m sure the tragedy was and still is so very profound and heartfelt to this day.
Thank you for sharing the photo of her dressing room. Another tear drop falls.

Almost 2 months have passed – and it still doesn’t seem real that Jeanne Cooper is gone.
I haven’t watched since her memorial aired – but then I’ve been away on vacation for several weeks.
Jeanne Cooper will be forever missed – I hope the writers give Katherine Chancellor a really great send off and the characters closest to her feel the repercussions of her loss for some time to come.

Anne Heche in “Extremely Critical Condition”; Still in Coma Following Fiery Car Crash

Although earlier reports over the weekend had soap opera alum and Daytime Emmy-winner, Anne Heche (Ex-Vicky/Marley, Another World) in stable condition following crashing her car into a home, on Monday an update on her condition looked more grim.

According to a statement provided to Deadline by Heche’s rep: “At this time Anne is in extreme critical condition. She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention. She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident.”

Since last Friday, Heche has been hospitalized following a harrowing incident where she crashed her car which caught fire into a private home in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles.

In addition, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Annie Hernandez told City News Service that investigators obtained a warrant for a blood draw from Heche.

Over the last few days, a new episode of Heche’s podcast “Better Together” with her co-host Heather Duffy was released, which showed the actress slurring her speech.

Erroneous reports said that the podcast which dropped on Friday, was also recorded that day, and that Heche had been drinking prior to her accident during the show.  However, it has come to light that Heche taped that episode last Tuesday, not the day of the crash.

Share your thoughts and prayers for Anne as we continue to monitor and update the situation on the film and TV star, via the comment section below.

‘That’s A Wrap’ For Dynasty’s Elizabeth Gillies & Adam Huber As They Share Farewells

The fifth and final season of CW’s Dynasty is currently playing out with the series finale to air in the early fall.

However, filming on the show wrapped this past week for series star Elizabeth Gillies (Fallon) and her on-screen husband, Adam Huber (Liam).  Each of them took to their Instagrams to share heartfelt goodbyes and ‘thank you’s’ for the journey they traveled as part of the reboot of the classic ABC primetime soap opera with its own twist.

Huber shared his thoughts, when he expressed: “That’s a wrap!! When I got the call in 2017 that I was going to be flying out to Atlanta to join the show DYNASTY for a few episodes I had no idea what it would turn into. 4 years of my life and 84 episodes later is what happened. I am beyond grateful for this show. This is the first time I’ve ever really been apart of something like this. I’ve learned a lot. I’ve cried a lot. And I’ve made friendships that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to anyone and everyone who was with me on this journey. Thank you to my friends and family for your non stop love and support. My manager and agents who are absolute rockstars. The crew that wakes up day after day working lonnnng hours so we can have a finished product. The writers, directors and producers for making this show the success that it is. The casting director for saying “I think I found our Liam” The entire cast for being so welcoming from the first day I stepped foot on set. The day players, extras, stand ins, all of you!!

And gigantic thank you to all the fans!!! Thank you for staying with us the whole time during this wild ride. Without you watching and binging on whatever platform you watch the show on, we would have not been able to bring you 5 seasons and 108 episodes of DYNASTY craziness. Thank you so much. From the bottom of my heart. This has been an experience I will never forget! 🖤Ps…new episode tonight!! I hope you enjoy the rest of the season! It’s going to be a lot of fun!”

Gillies, simply brought out her inner-Fallon with her Instagram post which said, “Every day, I take one man’s dirt and turn it into diamonds. And digging up insider info is even easier when they assume you work for the airline, instead of owning the plane. Bon Voyage, Fallon 🥂”

Elizabeth’s co-stars were quick to heap praise on the talented actress/singer/director (she directed the two most recent episodes of the series). Rafael de La Fuente who plays Sammy Jo, expressed: ‘What a gift for me to get to work with you for five years. Forever a fan, forever family.”

Pop superstar, Arianna Grande, a longtime friend, and Broadway co-star with Gillies in the musical 13, posted: “Oh my.congratulations, my Liz, on completing this massive and magnificent chapter with Fallon.  she is / you are utterly spectacular. !!!!!!!!! love youuu. sm.”

You can check out their farewell posts below.

So, sad to know that Liz and Adam have wrapped their run as the fifth and final season of Dynasty is coming to a close? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
