Y&R's Jason Thompson & Gina Tognoni Talk The Making Of Billy & Phyllis' Sex Scene! Do You Enjoy Seeing Your Favorite Soap Characters Getting Hot & Bothered?

Courtesy/ETandCBS
With Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and her brother-in-law Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) passionate affair beginning this week on The Young and the Restless, Entertainment Tonight went behind the scenes to look at the making of their torrid love scene.
While daytime fans often are witness to steamy love scenes on the soaps, and while they are meant to set fans temperatures rising, Thompson and Tognoni explain to ET that it’s all very technical. Jason relates: “They might do an insert of the belt coming off or the zipper things like that, but 95 percent of what you see is like one take.” And as for the secret of looking so good when your clothes are off on a set, Thompson joked, “I usually pay off the lighting guys.”
Y&R director, Owen Renfroe, who has directed many a sizzling sex romp in Genoa City adds: “Sometimes you see some parts you shouldn’t. That’s rare but that happens. And of course we close the set, and we black out the monitors to anyone else who may be watching on the set or anywhere else, so the actors are comfortable.”
Watch the making of the Phyllis and Billy love scene after the jump! Let us know, do you enjoy seeing the characters you love, or love to hate hook up in sex scenes on your favorite soaps? Share your thoughts below!
This whole this is so disgusting. I can’t believe they did this to Jeanne coopers stairs
That whole house is a slap in the face to Kay! It looks like a porn set now AND for what happened on the stairs, its official, it is a trampy, lowdown sex house! Ugg!
I hate the house. It’s like Billy is living in one room of the house. We never see anything else. I think it was a mistake to have him ‘buy’ it from Jill.
Disgusting, revolting, sinful, borderline incestuous!
(and yes, I have my DVR set).
Yes, it is all those aforementioned things but this is in the great tradition of soaps and namely, in the great tradition of Y&E
Don’t forget Jack slept with Jill (before he broke his crown) who was married to his father at the time. Some of you say this is an insult to Katherine Chancelor’s memory. Um….Kate slept with the stable boy and their affair did not always happen in the stable. Moreover, Jill had an affair with Mr Chancelor in that very house. Oh, all kinds of kinky things occurred in that house including Katherine blackmailing Jill into becoming her personal servant which included giving Kay a pedicure and foot rub. Katherine would hate to see Jack get hurt in this way, however, she would be the last person to judge. Hell, she might even get a kick out of it.
They traded the stairs for the shaft.
Personally, I think it is unwise that a portion of this scene takes place in the EXACT spot of the Chancellor set where we last saw Katherine.
If I had input, I would have voted against this affair plot. I’m still getting used to “new Phyllis” and “new new Billy.” It is harder to accept when these “new” characters are doing things (such as being unfaithful to Jack in this manner) when you never could have comprehended this conduct when Billy Miller or Michelle Stafford were in the roles. (They may have had affairs but it would have been unlikely that it would have been with each other when it would so directly harm Jack). I think the plot is unwise.
That being said, even the execution of the plot seems to be doing unnecessary things —- Sex on the stairs where we last saw Kay?? Remodel Kay’s house (the only set left from the very early years of the show) so drastically (and, frankly, tastelessly — looking like the reading room of a prison) that the jarring set change irks long-term viewers.
It seems very unwise to me. All of it is in serious danger of doing damage to a show that has suffered a LOT of damage in the past decade from a revolving door of producers and writers.
Right on Harry!
Phelps and Pratt continue to make a complete mockery and total disgrace of the iconic Chancellor mansion and the iconic Chancellor matriarch. Our very last memory of Katherine was on those very steps about three years ago when she said her final goodnight to Jill and look at what is taking place on those same steps three years later. I already don’t like either of these recasts in the first place (nothing against either actor but they don’t look or feel anything like Phyllis and Billy and come off as two new characters) but to have their characters engage in such a sickening display makes it so much harder to accept them. I just see this as more recycled repetitive storylines from Phelps and Pratt. Do they think there is anything new and fresh about Billy sleeping with Jack’s wife for a second time or Phyllis cheating on Jack for a third time? Phelps and Pratt have been having Jack act so out of character to justify this replusive hookup by the couple they call philly when it should be filthy. We all have seen this coming for several months but they claim in the mags it is a good twist when it’s more predictable junk. Please get rid of these two and bring in a new showrunner and headwriter that will get this show out from under their constant darkness, overall slime, and horribly bad storylines. Y&R was once the most classy soap but it’s become the most trashy soap since they took over.
I agree with you too Harry. To say this is an affront to Kay means that those people did not understand her character. She was never lily white and did some pretty tasteless things as well in that house. I doubt she would get a kick out of it but she would not be horrified or judgemental.
And I kind of like the new set. The colors are modern.
To say that all the action takes place in one room is as it always was. The only other rooms that were occasionally shown were the dining room, Kay’s bedroom and the attic. The action always only took place in the hall and the living room.
Okay, Tatiana, Kate would not get a kick out of it but Marge certainly would!!
Please end this sham with Billy & Phyllis. I gag when I see those two. What is happening to the writing. I don’t think I want to watch the Y&R much longer.
I want to know the name of the song that was playing during billy & Phyllis love scene. only lyrics I remember is “you are my ecstasy”.
I really related to it.
thanx
cj
Disgusting. Not into Billy and Phyllis at all.
The actors are wrong and the behavior is wrong! Phyllis, well maybe, she isnt an angel BUT Billy would NEVER do this to his brother and Vicki!
I turned the channel before the deed was done. I’m not really surprised, because before Victoria, Billy was a male tramp and let’s not forget his affair with Kelly. Phyllis, has hurt Jack many times and it always seems it is about her. As I mentioned in a previous post, those two will destroy each other.
Yes he would! Billy isn’t a villain but he’s always been flawed. And Phyllis & Nick? anybody their whole relationship was based on an affair
Timm, if loving this is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
Someone ought to write a song!
Billy slept with Sharon when was married to Jack.
And Victoria and Billy are done, what is he supposed to do to her?
P-U-K-E!!
Phelps & Pratt are so hellbent & determined in destroying Bill Bell’s legacy – this is just another spike in the coffin!!
Get over it Iol, Y&R is the number 1 soap. The whiners will always wine, lol have some cheese with your wine. Jill Phelps has made Y&R stonger. The haters will always hate.
Oh my gosh Melinda I so agree with you. I’m sooooo sick of hearing what Bill Bell would do. LADIES & GENTLEMEN if you will Bill Bell is gone, Katherine is gone, Billy Miller & Michelle Stafford are gone. Now it’s time to put the past to bed and either get on with it or lose it. I would rather get on with it and enjoy these wonderful actors & the new roads there having them take than to lose it or live in the past. Katherine Chancellor did not own a house, it was a set and now it’s changed just like the set Victor & Nicky had changed. Now lets enjoy the show or change the channel.
Amen Nikki, thank you so much. Thank god you agree with me. Too many whiners and they are still negative lol. Yes Bill Bell is gone, and Jeanne Cooper. may they rest in peace. I am so thankful, we still have 4 soaps left. Y&R ratings are up and still number 1, for 27 years. Jill Phelps has done a wonderful job on Y&R, the haters will always hate. take care Nikki.
Bart, Bill Bell would have been all over this. Read my comment posted above.
This is just good, soapy fun.
Harry…E-X-A-C-T-L-Y!!!!! Jack is nothing but a shallow, self-centered and self-absorbed MORON…and…he needs to FINALLY receive a dose of his own damn medicine!!!!! NON-STOP KARMA ALL THE WAY!!!!!!
Later, Harry.
Jaybird, moreover, Bill Bell was all about slightly incestuous story lines. Remember when Malcolm seduced (raped?) his sister-in-law Drucilla when she was knocked out from cold medicine?
Lilly is a living reminder of that story line as she is Malcolm’s biological daughter, not Neil’s.
Therefore, folks complaining that is blasphemous to Bill Bell’s legacy are not paying fidelity to Y&R”s very nasty past.
Hey Harry…remember when that Tyra chick slept with both Neil and Devon? Oh…and didn’t Nikki have a brief affair (or whatever) with Cole (Victoria’s ex-husband)? I don’t remember. Oh, those soaps…LOL!!!!! Y-e-p.
Later, Harry.
Harry, you are spot on.
I will say that the actors are not very talented. Recasting happens. I get that these two actors have chemistry. My problem is these two characters …. separate and apart from who plays them…. these two characters are a no bueno.
I remember randy Old Jack before Bergman took over. Old Jack had the morals of an alley cat in heat. He hit everything that moved. You wanna talk history, fine. Let’s roll back then… Nikki worked a pole, Victor imprisoned a man in his basement for spending time with his ex wife, Jill was a good girl who became a bad girl, Kay was a loudmouth drunken mess… I’ll take that crazy energy any day
I have tried so hard to find another soap to watch after losing AMC. I have been watching Y&R but I had to turn to another channel during that scene. I am the biggest soap fan every but I personally think it is time to pull the plug on daytime tv. I have given up on Y&R but I will watch the Deimos storyline on DOOL. DOOL has the most horrible teen actors ever in the history of television. I have to mute the tv when that young girl sings in her screech voice. The rape scene…..I did not even realize she was being raped until she later said she was. She needed to watch SVU to figure out how to act in that scene. Anyway once the Deimos storyline ends, I am done with soaps and have never liked talk shows where there is more than one host. I need to get out and exercise more anyway!
Not the original actors, just sickening to have these two cheat on Vicki and Jack. When Billy Miller and Vicki were a couple OR not, you always believed they would find their way back! Plus, Billy of the past would NEVER screw his brother’s wife. This is horrible! Jack had a chance to bury Victor and he cowered, I hope the hell this time he snaps and dumps Phyllis in the dumpster where this classless bitch belongs! THEN, maybe its Jack and Fiona??
Victoria and Billy broke up. He does NOT cheat on her.
Billy slept with his brother’s wife Sharon. Nothing new here.
I understand but they have kids and they are on and off like a light switch! Even Nick said the other day that they need to stop this nonsense and enjoy each other while they can!
I guess you forgot that Billy had an affair with Sharon who was Jack’s wife at the time?! Billy was still an immature ass and he felt really bad so Jack eventually forgave him. Everyone needs to stop looking at Billy Miller through rose colored glasses.
And it sounds like you are placing more blame on Phyllis. Not sure why women seem to get blamed more for infidelity but his BROTHER Billy is just as classless and ignorant to be screwing his brother’s wife. Again!
I didnt forget anything. People do grow and learn. Obviously Billy, whomever plays him, has not! I dont like Jason Thompson as Billy, period! Secondly, you need to reread my post, I NEVER solely blamed Phyllis for this act! And after you reread my post read this, UNLESS it is rape, ANY affair is BOTH the MAN and the WOMEN’s fault EQUALLY! Geez!
Hey Tatiana…A-M-E-N to everything that you said about Victoria!!!!! I TOTALLY AGREE with you!!!!! To me, Victoria is BEYOND ANNOYING!!!!! Oh…and I already feel sorry for Travis (that TOTALLY HOT bartender dude). He has no idea as to what he’s getting himself into. Yikes.
Take care.
Dear Jaybird and Tatiana:
Did either one of you watch Sex and the City? If so, you might recall a scene where the pristine, uptight and boring Charlotte has a man fall asleep while making love to her.
To me, that is Victoria.
Poor Travis indeed! And what’s with every single love scene on primetime and daytime TV including the requisite “Slam the person against the wall” kiss. It is so overdone.
I did watch Sex and the City. One of the best shows ever! I do remember that show…LOL. Great comparison!
the thing… that bothers … me
is the treatment of Jack…. by his OWN family… his brother
Just Jack…
1. always comes in 2nd to Victor… the power struggle… reign of corporate power… between these two men… it’s done for me… and if the audience wants to gear up for another “fight” and ultimately Victor Newman wins out till his dying days…. have at it… i’m over these two characters… in this context… I will never like Victor Newman. so Just Jack has played and will play 2nd fiddle… damn it tho… I will forever hold the ABbott family this close to my heart of the show. the acting of their respective families… The Abbotts far and away top tier….
2. just jack… is now being brought down… and dissed … by his own brother… and what most fans consider… his “red” to be the one true lady of his life…
ARGH !
stinks all over again
Peter Bergman. WOW
The character of Jack Abbott has been ‘pussified’ (for lack of a better term) by the current Head Writer, Chuck Pratt – once a strong, determined character has now been transformed into a glorified, oratory-spewing wuss!!
It’s pathetic!!
you are absolutely, correct
I’ve posted on his character spiral…. prior
didn’t want to do it again… but it’s true… it hurts knowing what’s happening
emasculated… pussified… where’s his character
it further bites… that Eric Braedon’ Victor ????
argh! is getting the last laugh… at the fans
yikes! imagine the great Victor NewMAN
this smarts and makes me sick of Y&R that much more
and I’ll always love having watched that show for 20+ years
Peter Bergman’ Jack Abbott : “once a strong, determined character”
I honeslty cannot see … how Y&R would rectify this
with tail between their legs… I couldn’t look Jack in the eye
damnation on Chris Pratt and JPF
Peter Bergman… MADE Victor Newman
Under Bill Bell, Jack slept with his step monster, Jill. And John Abbott was a saint! Now Jack is going to experience what he inflicted on his own father all those years ago.
Jack has already felt what he did to his father when Billy slept with his wife Sharon. This betrayal goes even beyond that.
Harry, agree… it looks like new Billy is taking a page from randy Old Jack. And the actor made those lines crackle!
I am loving the new improved Billy. He’s not the jokey frat boy anymore.
He’s an Abbott who’s ready to claim his position and forge a new direction.
Glad Villy’s over too.She was a nag who always chose her father over everyone.
I am thrilled for Billy & Phyllis to heat up Genoa City. Jack’s so emasculated now.Jack’s drive to destroy Victor should be raging after Victor’s complicity in Phyllis being repeatedly raped.
That being said, the “revamp” of Katherine’s mansion is horrible.Whomever did it deserves a pink slip.
Disgusting, I won’t be watching young and restless anymore. Thought it was great when Phyllis and Jack fought everything to get back together and this is what you do to them….
When Billy told Jack he was going after whatever business…or woman he wanted, Jack was warned.
I don’t like that they are doing this, but Jack should know Phyllis can’t be faithful. She cheated on him with Nick and cheated on Nick with Ronan and that’s just since I started watching. I don’t know what happened before. And Billy, well, he cheated on Victoria.
I did enjoy seeing the behind the scenes stuff. And Cameron does a good job hosting.
I would stick needles in my eyes before watching ANYTHING Cameron does!
Timm! Me too!
He makes Ryan Seacrest look like a bad ass by comparison!
Hey Timmm and Harry…ME, TOO!!!!! As far as I’m concerned, that Cameron dude has the appeal (or whatever) of a tree stump…LOL!!!!!
Later, fellas.
Entertainment tonight did the same story with Jordan and Andre, behind the scenes of the making of a love scene like a week ago, why would they do the same story twice? I’m thinking ET covered GH first a non cbs show first and somebody threw a fit and demanded ” equal” air time, why else would u do the story agian ? Seems redundant!
Bring it on, I love Phyllis and Billy. They are hot together.
Obviously, Jason Thompson has much more chemistry with Gina Tognoni than with Amelia Heinle, so a Billy/Phyllis pairing is a great new direction for the characters.
That said, I have a hard time accepting Jason Thompson as Billy. He is not at all the same character he was when Billy Miller or Burgess Jenkins played the role. I miss his comedic lines and his rivalry with Victor, which were an essential part of the character and why he was so different from all the other Genoa City residents.
Jason Thompson is great, but he would have been a much better Philip Chancellor III than Billy Abbott.
I don’t know if Burgess Jenkins would ever agree to come back. But in this eventuality, I would totally enjoy a storyline where we (and Adam in storyline) found out Jason Thompson is not Billy and that the real Billy (Jenkins) is still in a coma somewhere.
Then Thompson would turn out to be Phillip Chancellor’s (Kay’s late husband) unknown son. This would explain why he agreed to live in Kay’s house but radically transformed it and had it painted in grey like he was living in his grave : he secretly hated Kay for never acknowledging his existence, except for the music box Jill inherited from Kay, which was really his, offered by his father when he was born.
That way, we would have, at last, a real and pivotal storyline about Jill’s music box, leading to more mysteries and secrets about the Chancellor clan, while explaining the radical transformation of the Chancellor house.
It is absolutely repulsive.
OH indeed, it is repulsive. Which is why I and others will eagerly stay tunned.
Harry, I see what you did there. LOL
Soap sex is horrible..
really– soap sex is silent.. that is more than weird.
Nobody has cuddling or sex without one ”000oooh god!!” or 0oooh baby! or a moan, even some sighing.. ahaa
Soap sex its too ridiculously lame – nursinghome prono .. lol
This public service announcement was brought to you by Suoo.
What that message was I still do not understand.
After reading all the comments I can’t help but laugh. My gosh guys It’s a soap if we left Billy with Victoria and Phyllis with Jack there would be no soap. Gradually our power couple (Adam & Chelsea) will split up as well and have affairs with others then we will all wait to see them get back together.I’m glad Billy finally got a backbone. Victoria had Jack fire him from his own father’s company F.G.S. I think Victor’s dream is coming true. Victoria is going to turn into a lush, Nicky is going to be a street person, Nick will marry Lilly and run the Newman company, & Adam & Chelsea will try to buy his mothers property and move but Nick will stop it. J.M.O.
I know Nikki–it’s like the Church Lady is dancing the hysterical funky chicken in here.
I cannot get behind this turn of events. A new actor and a new direction for Phyllis, finally with Jack. So committed. Not this? What has happened to Billy? Again, new actor and new direction, but sorry. This is not the right direction. Disappointing. I want the Abbotts to be strong (Does anyone remember the breakfasts when all the kids were home and John was alive?). the family has been decimated. Billy and Victoria do need bumps as they are our Romeo & Juliet story here but folks, the kids are grown up now. I think the silly bedroom games are over.
This is a disappointment on so many levels. Even on a soap we need characters with sacred relationships. But what is the worst aspect of this for me is that Victor has been right all along – Billy is a loser and doesn’t deserve Victoria.
Yeah, I agree. And Billy is such a cocky jerk, more than before even,
in some ways! He really gets on my nerves…hope Vicki never lands
back in his pile of mess. He and Phyllis deserve each other.
Oh please. Vicki is a daddy’s girl, a nag and a hypocrite. She can accept all the heinous and disgusting acts that her father perpetrates on everyone, even her own family, but is always yelling at Billy for every little thing he does. She is the most annoying character on this show and deserves everything she gets. I FF all her scenes. At least Billy is watchable when he’s not driving a stake through his brother’s back. This whole Phyllis and Billy affair is ridiculous.
Don’t know…if Vicki was that much of a daddy’s girl, she wouldnt have
stayed with Billy for so long, and repeatedly took him back after he hurt
her. And yes! Billy was way more watchable before he went after Jack…
and Phyllis!
This storyline is a mistake for many reasons, the most obvious being that Gina Tognoni and Jason Thompson have ZERO chemistry.
Bring it on! Billy & Phyllis are hot together. Jack is much too stuffy these days and is about as interesting as watching paint dry. All he does is complain and nag. Phyllis and Billy both have addictive personalities and both have a major grudge against Victor while Jack is ready to kiss and make up with him. I feel that Gina and Jason have lots of chemistry. It doesn’t matter to me that they did the deed in the former Chancellor mansion. I do agree tha mansion needs to be brightened up as was mentioned earlier in the week by the Jabot buyer saying it needed “a woman’s touch. The character of Billy is much better off with Phyllis since Victoria never has his back. Phyllis has stood by Billy for a long time now. Hope they have a long and passionate affair.
These two have chemistry. And while I am not a fan of the writing regime of Pratt, I will say that this was well executed. You could see it coming from a mile away. Jack and Phyllis were separated through the evil deeds of Victor, when they are united Jack somewhat denies Phyllis’s pain and victimization by focusing on protecting Victor. That was the downfall of their relationship. Phyllis and Billy have an anti-Victor connection and they have physical chemistry.
For everyone wanting Victoria and Billy to be forever Villy, come ON. She always chose her father over Billy. Actions speak louder than words and when Billy was recovering and her father was scheming to get Pass Key, she didn’t bat an eye. She always sets him up for disaster and failure….and no one is innocent in any of this. All of them have cheated on someone at some point.
And for everyone who is up in arms about how immoral and disgusting this union is, well, I’ll tell you what’s disgusting: Victor MARRYING SHARON. That was disgusting. Particularly since he was taking advantage of a bipolar episode – THAT was incestuous.
And honestly, Jack and Phyllis didn’t have chemistry in my opinion. The only sad things coming out of this is that yet again, Victor gets what he wants: Jack will get hurt, Billy is out of Vicki’s life, etc. And Jack is always the loser. I wish he would win for once.
Am I the only one getting the yucky feeling that they are setting things up for a Jack-Hilary relationship. I think I”m gonna hurl
Of two minds about this– as many have said this is the type of thing soaps are made of. Over on B&B a family member sleeping with another extended family member happens almost weekly. Devon slept with his father’s wife- then Neil slept with his son’s wife. So this show has gone down this road before, no big shocker there, but I have never been a fan of that type of story line, but I get why soaps like it because of the built in drama and extra betrayal factor.
However, in this case it just feels extra slimly. I have no problem believing Phyllis would cheat on Jack, she did it before with Nick, and I have no problem believing drunken Billy would do things that would hurt Jack. He did it before, when he slept with Sharon who was involved with Jack at the time, and I believe he was drinking when he slept with Kelly. So drinking Billy can be a jerk. Yet knowing this, somehow this particular combo just feels like I need to take a shower from watching it, not because it made me so hot I had to cool down, but because of the ick factor. It just feels wrong, and maybe that is point, it is wrong, so if it make viewers feel that way that’s good right? I think it would be sad day if viewers can watch really immoral behaviour and think nothing of it.
So I can see why the show went that way, I can somewhat believe these characters would do this under these circumstances, but if they try to pass this act off as love, if they try to convince me that these two love each other that would really be a disservice me as long time viewer and to the characters
I can tolerate a one time romp on the stairs, but if they try to turn this into a romance like they did when Nick and Phyllis cheated on their spouses that would be something I would not care to watch at all.
And to make matters worse it looks like Hilary will be going after Jack– I already know I will not want those two together.
Therefore to answer the question when it comes to sex on a soap. When it is between two characters I believe truly love each other, I enjoy the sex scenes, when it is between characters who are just hooking up to hook up, sex scenes are rather boring because my emotions are not engaged
Lovely and thoughtful, Mary.
PS to Mary’s post— I pray that Phyllis does NOT become pregnant. Please, please, please, writers do not do that to us viewers. If you do, then I am going to jump on the Y&R disgruntled fan bandwagon.
Seriously, DO NOT even think about giving us a who’s-the- baby-daddy storyline.
Isn’t this a soap opera? Haven’t absurd storylines and ridiculous affairs been mainstay since day one?? I do miss many of the former actors, but that’s the way it goes. Actors move on. Characters change. I gotta deal or change the channel. Now, in the case of Michael Muhney……I’ll love and miss him forever!
I know right. If the affair is so horrible, then why is anyone watching a soap? They all cheat. This one is much better than Devon and Hilary’s affair which didn’t make too much sense. Billy and Phyllis are very interesting together and seperately. Was there this much outrage when Lily cheated with Joe?
loved it!
jason and gina are damn sexy!!
billy and phylis cant resist eachother and its soo good
Does the carpet match the drapes in Mrs. C’s house?
Bah ha ha! Good one, 4ever Days.
I wonder if the mods truly understood, Harry? lol
Phyllis and Billy together are just sickening. I hate how the writers change a character completely for a new actor and make it unrecognizable to the audience.
Jason Thompson is a decent actor but I cannot accept him as Billy Abbott. He doesn’t look like an Abbott, doesn’t sound like an Abbott, and doesn’t act like an Abbott. Half the time I have trouble understanding him, he mumbles and talks in a slow drawl like a cowboy. It sounds like he’s doing a John Wayne or Elvis impersonation. I don’t believe him as Jack and Ashley’s brother. He is like an arrogant stranger who appeared out of nowhere and just hates on Jack all the time.
I will say the new Phyllis and the new Billy match each other in their miserable scowling faces. Those two are so hateful, whiny and vindictive. When Billy Miller played Billy, this character was so warm and funny with a huge heart. David Tom had that sweet earnest quality too. Jason Thompon comes off so haughty and entitled like he thinks he is superior to everyone and the world owes him. He has made Billy character into such a ugly nasty rigid unlikable person. His face is always sneering and scowling or frozen in a frown.
Everyone I know hates what they have to Katherine Chancellor’s house. The dark dreary drab grey walls match the dark dreary drab new Billy. It is an eyesore and depressing on the eyes. Jeanne Cooper, may she rest in peace, would be horrified at that monstrosity. I find it so disrespectful. It makes me ill when I see how they have destroyed that iconic set.
No. I freaking hate them together.
I like Gina, but I have never totally warmed to her as Phyllis. I want to, but it hasn’t happened and I doubt this will help. Frankly, at this point, I don’t really care what happens to her. I had wanted Billy and Victoria together, but it doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen. I hope Jack roasts them both.
Always been triangles Bill Bell on every soap he wrote for it was two sisters in love or marrying the same man mother and daughter two brothers father and son none of that bugs me was just the way it was. I just wish they had left the chancellor Mansion set alone. Eric Braeden has even commented on how awful it is. Not everybody is doing back flips over there . My biggest question to Pyllis would be if she thinks she is a tramp also since Sharon was for hooking up with two brothers? Phyllis has always cheated on Jack but man they have totally removed Jacks you know what he is what I say Milk Toast!
Does anybody know the song that was being played during Billy and Phyllis’s love seen ???
As much as the hookup and ultimate betrayal of Jack nauseated me, the music played during the hookup was haunting. Does anyone know the name of the tune and/or the artist?
Fast forwarded through that mess.
I just want to know the artist and song title of the track playing during billy and Phyllis love scene
Anyone know the artist and song ?
No. I do not like Billy and Phyllis sleeping together. That is disgusting. She is his brother’s wife. Michelle Stafford would never have done such mess as this. I hate how u are doing this to Jack.
My opinion to have Phyllis, Jack’s wife to have an affair with his brothers is poor writing, no respect, just plain not good. Losing my respect for the show.
A kiss and hugs are fine but the rest could be left out! Disgusting! You can assume they did but why show that filth

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
