Without a doubt. I mean, he has an almost 20 year history with the character (Sharon), what was he supposed to say?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sharon and Nick together I am a die hard Sharon fan to the end!!!<3

Sharon and Nick made this show! I love them together and Drucilla and Neil also

YES Nick and Sharon are smoking HOT!!!! Best couple ever!!!!

I will never believe that Sharon &Nick are each other end game sorry to the people who love Shick I will never believe in there love but I am a big Shadam fan and I believe in there love Adam made Sharon strong & she believe in herself & he made her do stuff for herself.

Michael, what fun! I loved seeing Joshua and Sharon. Especially being themselves and not Nick and Sharon. That was a great idea of The Talk to use the money grabbing booth. Better yet was Joshuas offer to donate five hundred dollars of his own to donate to charity and challenging Aisha to do the same. I didn’t see the show yet, but it loks like everyone went nuts. I don’t know how much money they actually got for the two women from the audience who participated also. Joshua has a wonderful personality. However, I do not want to see Shick together again and again and again. There is too much drama and room for some special person to come and join the fray. Thanks , Michael for this great clip from The Talk……

I loved the chemistry they have like no other. Nikki and Victor are toxic. Adam and Sharon are great also though. Chelsea and Adam have 0 chemistry!

I loved this interview it was great I do not watch Talk shows so thanks for posting it! I love Sharon Case <3

YES Mr. Fairman they do belong together lol 😀 Nick and Sharon are SOULMATES.

SC and JM were delighted (they are delightful people), but the time for Nick and Sharon has long come and gone; if Y&R is to have any traction, Sharon must gravitate to the only man who believed in her abilities, her strength, her need to stand on her own two feet … of course, that is Adam … it is the only way to go. I truly believe JM said that because he was sitting there w SC, on stage and thought it was the thing the audience wanted to hear, but it is not a sentiment shared by all

I agree Adam needs to get rid of that fake Chelsea YUCK! Chelsea had a ball gown on at a funeral! Sharon did her dress on purpose because she knows Victor is screwing around and took off and not dead. Abby what a potty mouth and in a church! Shame shame Abby!

I disagree about Chelsea’s dress. Adam said it was “ethereal” and it seemed more of one of those maxi dresses than a ball gown, but maybe you got a better look at it then me. Plus she had a blazer on or something like that.

With Abby saying what she said, by that time the whole funeral was nothing but a joke. It was nothing more than a show for Sharon because the family was not even allowed to speak. I don’t see how Abby did anything worse than Sharon and all her primping and the veiled things she said to Nikki. The real problem was Sharon having a JOHN DOE cremated. That was wrong! 🙂

I agree Chelsea sucks and has no chemistry and very annoying

I love Nick and Phyllis! I know there are a lot of Sharon/Nick fans, but I’m so over that. I think when they put Phyllis and Nick together, they struck gold. There’s something about those two that I can’t get enough of….and this is coming from a person that never got into Y&R before. I was strictly AMC & OLTL….but with those two, I can’t stop watching.

Sharon is doing a fantastic job. She was so funny at Victors funeral I pissed a little from LMAO so hard! Sharon Case is terrific and YES she belongs with Nick.

I am loving Sharon more than ever. i would love Nick and Sharon back BOY they were so HOT together. Phyllis is a NO!

I was so happy to hear Drucilla is coming back! Sharon and Drucilla were BFF”s and they were great I miss Dru

Where did you hear this?

I LOVED Sharon. Josh was cute also. Dru needs to come back to be Sharons bestfriend again. I can’t wait for Victoria Rowells return Heard it is soon

Such lovely people in real life! Love them

WOW they truly grew up together

Liked the short interview… would have loved the time spent on the stupid game to have been more interview.

What fun seeing these two on “The Talk”! It’s hard to believe they’ve been onscreen since 1994!? About time the network started showcasing them on other shows!! They both were fabulous! BTW, Sharon (love her right now, or hate her) has been doing a bang up job on the show with this outrageous storyline! KUDOS to all!!! 🙂

SC and SC are so right, Nick & Sharon belong together, I’ll always love them

SC and JM are so right, Nick & Sharon belong together, I’ll always love them

Don’t any of the talk shows, don’t care who they have on!

You know the funny thing about all this is their would not have ever been a Phyllis & Nick pairing, he was suppose to cheat on Sharon with someone else after Cassie’s death Sharon Case is the one who suggested Phyllis. How do I know she said so in an interview in 2009 anyway they did look cute together, I always loved them together we shall see. I do not see an Adam pairing again as long as this Chelsea gal is pregnant.

Yeah, kay/kay, I don’t know where they are going to go with Chelsea. If Maria was still in charge, she would probably explore Jeffrey and Anita in that dynamic, but now that she is gone, I betcha they drop that or wrap it up quickly.

What will happen to Chelsea and her fetus? I fear that she will lose the baby and not be able to have children again and then go after Johnny. But if Billy Miller is leaving (as rumored) does it matter or will they recast with Steve Burton (as I heard rumors to that too). Ha! Ha! So much speculation.

I feel for Victoria, though, and I do not want her to have another baby ripped from her arms. How anyone could forgive Phyllis for that is beyond me. I know it was her grandchild, but they could have worked something out.

As for Chelsea and Adam, I see them working only because they pretty much accepted each others’ BS right from the start. That is what got in the way with Sharon and Adam, but the right story could fix that. It is just the way she turned her back on Adam over the Patty situation that did not make sense because she took him back for much worse.

One of the best things of a really good love traingle is not knowing who to vote for. On one hand Sharon/Nick had a great love story and part of me would love to see them end up together again, not as they were but as they are now. But I also loved Adam and Sharon, they have this great chemistry and during this whole Victor mess, Adam was the only one who saw Tucker was using her and tried to warn her, and she almost listened. So I am torn, which is what I like, it a great traingle and with the right writers, done the right way, it can entertain us for years to come.

That was a fun clip.

GREAT storytelling could make Sharon any man’s soul mate. The same can be said of Nick.

Sharon and Adam could be put back together like that, but the writing the last time the reasoning she could not support him this time around was so stupid. She has accepted him for much worse. I think it has ruined them right now. If they are to be back together, it will take some time and good storytelling. I believe it can be done, if that is what they want for the characters. But on the other hand, they could do the same thing with Nick and Sharon … if that is what they want. Heck, even Sharon and Tucker could be good if the story is right. But you can’t say the same about Nikki and Victor with anybody else – they are endgame.

Nick and Phyllis are great together because they have so much heat – but a lot of that is due to Michelle Stafford – she has that with anyone (lovers – Jack & Ronan; friend – Michael). The playfulness between Joshua Morrow and Stafford is evident, but she could also have that with Adam as played by Michael Muhney because there was a glimmer back when they were trying to find the memory card together.

OMG everything you said about Michelle Stafford is true!!!! She makes any man hot

Well, fan support surely will protect Morrow and Case from massive changes on the Genoa City landscape. Good! I really enjoyed Nick and Sharon story from the start. I remain confused as to how Nick and Phyllis ever found each other and keep close. Sharon is aimless without Nick and the family they built. I would guess Cassie’s death was the tragedy that put a wedge between them, but MAB has used a hatchet on Sharon’s character. I am weary of her wanderings from man to man, chiefly the path to Victor (EW!). I would champion a stripped-down-to-the-studs Sharon who rediscovers her core values and loves, starting with her son and daughter, and an empowering independence. I do not want her to seek any revenge, but in an “eat pray love” way find herself. This would sow the seeds of romance — genuine slow build passion — between Sharon and Nick, and create a foundation on which the Newmans may remain a core Genoa City Y&R family. To me, this is a no-brainer and I am shocked as to why no one runs with this fertile storyline.

I use to think that they belonged together until the writers decided to let her sleep with and marry victor newman, I could never look at the them as a romantic couple again and how could he after she slept with his old man, ewww. But then again he is a man.

I have been waiting for a TRUE SCHICK reunion, for what seems like forever. If you have watched this show for many years, as I have, SCHICK belongs together.

I have been waiting a long time for a reunion.. Please writer’s make it happen. Sharon and Nick are the end game as far as I see it.. Sharon and Adam were just plain distrubing because of what happened with Faith.. Team Shick

sorry I am a true Phick fan. One day they will be back together.

The character Phyllis on Y & R, I hope she goes to prison and stays there a very long time. I am so sick of her, I wish they would kill the character off. Why was Sharon jailed? What law did she break? It seems like Victor Newman just snapped his fingers and she was in jail. I wish all Victor Newman’s sins would come to light and
he face judgement for all the dastardsly deeds he has done, when will there ever be justice on Y & R for him, so far never, ever. I am upset Gene Francis was fired by
JFP, what was she thinking? Now Marci Rylan, big mistake and this will not endear
the fans to JFP at all. So far she has ruined the show by these two cuts alone. She will be loosing a huge fan base. They did not deserve the treatment they got.

I Love sharon and nick together know that avery is on a trip to get phyllis settled in, i hope that sharon and nick hook up . They belong together, they have this great chemistry and love story they are so hot together . I have been waiting so long for this, please

Shick have the best chemistry that’s why people hate them so much!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
