If you caught Alan Thicke’s tweet on Wednesday you may have noticed he commented and shared a picture with the man playing his on-screen son in his latest project! That man happens to be The Young and the Restless Justin Hartley (Adam Newman).

Thicke tweeted, “My latest TV son, @Hartleyjustin Fun on Fox! #boyswillbeboys @FOXTV #justinhartley”

As previously announced, Hartley is one of the main core characters of 8 people who all share the same birthday in this dramedy pilot currently known as the Untitled Dan Fogelman Pilot. The pilot ensemble also includes: Mandy  Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling Brown and Ron Cephas Jones.  What we know of Hartley’s role is that he plays Kevin, a handsome and successful television actor with an underlining boredom in his ultimate bachelor life.

According to Backstage, the production of the pilot under 20th Century Fox has been shooting in New York from Jan 26th and wraps this Friday on February 12th.

As for Dan Fogelman, he is the executive producer behind Fox’s Grandfathered starring John Stamos and ABC’s musical-comedy, Galavant.

What do you think of Alan Thicke playing Justin Hartley’s dad in the pilot project? What do you think of the premise and Justin’s role in it? Comment below!

Justin is one of the better actors on Y&R, they were lucky to get him, and I figured sooner or later, he’d move on to something better. I hope this works out for him!

“All his series are doing very well…” Have you seen the disastrous ratings for season 2 of “Galavant”? LOL.

It’s only a pilot, it is has a lot way to go before it might be picked up as a series– and even if does it might be 2018 before it airs and then whether it will be picked up for more episodes after the initial order if it makes it that far is a big question mark– so I think we can enjoy JH on Y&R for a long while yet.

Well. it doesn’t surprise me that Justin Hartley would eventually move on from Y&R. If the show is picked up and is shot in NYC, there would be little likelihood of his staying on the soap. Good luck to him and the show. Y&R will have to find another Adam, just like they’ve done with the character of Billy Abbott.

I love Justin Hartley’s acting and I never doubted for a minute he would get into movies. If he leaves it will be a sad day for Y & R but I want to see Justin get ahead. If I knew Tom Cruise I would call him myself and have him watch Justin and I know Justin would be the next J.Renner in Tom’s MI movies. Congratulations Justin great work you deserve moving on.

Well, I felt Adam and Chelsey held Y & R together for the past year. However, don’t get angry, it never seemed to me that Adam was a great actor; good, but needing a bit more help. His speech pattern is so quick, continuously, that the possibility of being the new Brad Pitt did not seem to be something that was going to happen. Hey, for him, I hope it is. I did feel that the producer had better watch out or they were going to lose Justin. You all seem to know a lot more than I. It felt… Read more »

Love Justin Hartley. Great actor and so handsome. I hope he does well, but I sure hope he doesn’t leave Y+R. Love watching him. I only hope they will keep Adam and Chelsea together. Great chemistry.

Bryan Craig Teases His Role in Upcoming ‘Joker’ Sequel

Former General Hospital star and two-time Daytime Emmy winner, Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan Corinthos) has been quite busy these days with his continuing role on Freeform’s Good Trouble and now the biggest tease of all!

Craig took to his Instagram account and posted an intriguing pic, which from all indications mean he has landed a part in the upcoming motion picture Joker sequel Folie à Deux! (“Madness for Two”).

Because details on the upcoming film have been top secret, Craig erased his character’s name on his cast parking sign when he posted the image.

What we do know is that the upcoming Joker sequel will see the return of Joaquin Phoenix in his Oscar-winning role as Arthur Fleck. The cast includes Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, plus Brendan Gleeson, Zazie Beets, and Catherine Keener.

The film is due out in 2024.

Looking forward to seeing Bryan in Folie à Deux? Comment below.

Lori Loughlin To Make Holiday Movie For Great American Family

Lori Loughlin (Ex-EON and Full House) will be making a holiday movie for Great American Family. Look for production to start later this year.

The announcement of the upcoming Christas pic follows on the heels of Loughlin’s Fall Into Winter which dropped on January 28th on GAF.

The movie marked Lori’s first romantic comedy screen appearance since serving time in 2020 for her part in the college admissions scandal. She returned to acting after her prison time, and after being let go by the Hallmark Channel in When Hope Calls which was a spinoff of When Calls the Heart.

Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media had previously shared: “Lori is a genre-defining star that I have had the honor to call a close friend and collaborator for more than 15 years. We have a shared vision for creating meaningful and memorable movies that resonate with our passionate fans, and I look forward to welcoming her back to Great American Family to anchor our 2023 winter programming slate.”

So what do you think of a Lori Loughlin/Great American Family holiday film on the way for later in 2023? Comment below.

Marcus Coloma On His GH Exit: “I Don’t Know Why That Decision Was Made, But I Don’t Feel Any ill Will and I Didn’t Feel I Got Fired”

This week, GH fans saw Adam Huss returning to the ABC soap opera as Nikolas Cassadine to finish out the rest of the scenes originally intended to be played by Marcus Coloma who ended his three-year run on the show a tad early.

As has been previously reported, Coloma came down with Covid-19 as his final tape days neared, and a decision was made for him to not return to finish off his last run of episodes.

With all the rumors and stances taken by everyone involved, Coloma was the special guest on this week’s episode of the That’s Awesome Podcast hosted by Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson and discussed his departure from the long-running daytime drama series.

Marcus expressed that when he took the role on GH, he was excited to be in that kind of environment (working on a soap opera), and only signed on for three years.  However, as time went by it became more difficult to reconcile leaving when his contract was up, sharing: “You fall in love with the crew and everybody along with it. So, two and a half years in, this decision that was so clear in the beginning is getting complicated.”

The actor added that while, “I knew the end was coming, it wasn’t like GH was saying, ‘Hey, Marcus, we want you to stay.’  There was no negotiation … and all I can say to that is I don’t know why that decision was made, but I don’t feel any ill will and I didn’t feel like I got fired. It just felt like … there was maybe an understanding that I was going to be there for three years. The big surprise is how much it hurt. Even though I knew I was going to leave.”

In the end, Coloma reflected that this may have concluded as it should, adding, “I really do have some big goals and those goals would have never been realized if I would have stayed. That’s not to take anything away from GH because I admire everything about it.”

Watch the episode of That’s Awesome featuring Coloma below.

Then weigh-in, what do you think of Marcus’ thoughts on his exit as GH’s Nikolas Cassadine? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
