Y&R's Michael Muhney Tweets His Enthusiasm After Reading First Script From New Regime!

You can always count on the talented Michael Muhney (Adam) of The Young and the Restless to tell it like it is and be direct about his thoughts! Muhney took to Twitter this morning to let his followers, colleagues, and fans know that he is very enthusiastic of the future of Y&R under the new writing regime now led by Josh Griffith after reading their first script!
Here is what Muhney shared: “Does anyone care to know my critical thoughts after reading the first script of the new order at Y&R airing Oct 12th? Keep in mind, I’ve only just read the first script with new writing. There is cohesiveness in the overall storytelling. Things seem less disjointed. You can feel momentum build from page 1 to 60. I feel like there will be a lot more attention to characters’ voices, and somehow things feel more intense without any cheap tricks. It seems as though the show is on track. It feels like a strong ensemble. I feel like it is classic old show mixed with classy new energy. I feel like this show, as a whole, and with great respect to its history, could be entering one of its best eras. And while no writing team can be perfect all the time, based on this script & the ideas for the future, this show will be a beacon for CBS. And if I wasn’t happy about the writing or show’s future, I just wouldn’t say anything at all. But I’m honestly impressed.”

It looks like the current run of Lucas Adams (Noah) and Tamara Braun (Sienna) on The Young and the Restless is coming to an end, after the Monday, August 3 edition of the CBS daytime drama revealed that Noah and Sienna are leaving Genoa City and heading back to Los Angeles.
In the storyline, Noah informed his mother, Sharon (Sharon Case) and half-sister Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that he and Sienna made the decision to move back to the West Coast to put distance between themselves and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Although Noah did not say it was a permanent move, he did assure his mom that once Matt is hopefully gone from Genoa City they could return.
However, as previewed already on the video teaser for this week’s episodes of Y&R (see below), it appears Noah left Genoa City’s The Shadow Room to be run by a returning Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). So with that, coupled with today’s episode, it would appear the move could wind up being more permanent.

COMINGS AND GOINGS
Adams made his Y&R debut on November 4, 2025 as the successor to Rory Gibson who last played Noah on-screen in April of 2023. Earlier in 2025, Gibson took over the role of Michael Corinthos on Genera Hospital replacing Chad Duell, who stepped away from the part after 15 years.
Braun who played Adam’s mother on Days of Our Lives when she was Ava Vitali and he was Tripp Dalton, first appeared on Y&R back on October 14, 2025, where we soon learned she had become Noah’s lover as the new character, Sienna Bacall. It should be noted, Adams was on contract with the number #1 soap, while Braun has been on recurring status.
With Josh Griffith now exited as head writer of The Young and the Restless, and the newly announced co-head writing team of Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor having taken his place and starting their new tenure this week, it will be interesting to see how the duo resets the show, and if a Noah and Sienna return is in the cards for the future or not.

Rosie O’Donnell revealed that she plans to head back to a seat at the table of ABC’s morning talk show The View.
The announcement came during Monday’s episode of The Tangle Podcast where she shared she will participate in “in whatever way they want” her or “just as a guest” for its upcoming 30th season.
The View’s season 30 will kick-off this fall in September. O’Donnell explained, “They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think. And, you know, I’m pretty proud of that show, what it’s become and how it really speaks to the people and to politics.”

ROSIE ON HER PREVIOUS GO-ROUNDS ON THE VIEW
As fans of The View know, O’Donnell famously had two different one-year stints on the talk show in 2007 and again in 2014- 2015. She often feuded with then co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck.
However, during her discussion with host, Kyle Ridley on The Tangle Podcast, O’Donnell also noted she often had tense moments with longtime moderator and anchor, Whoopi Goldberg.
O’Donnell also expressed, “Many, many people got the short end of the stick there. It was, you know, it was a factory where people were being churned in and out and their tenuous security, nobody got to be calm. It also was a show at the time that was run by a man. A show created by a woman, for women, about women, and the man was deciding what we should talk about. And that didn’t sit right with me, you know.”
Back in 2023, Brooke Shields had asked Rosie on her podcast, Now What? with Brooke Shields, about how she felt on her two stints at The View and all the controversy that surrounded it. Rosie at that time, stated, “I know this, it’s not the best use of my talent to get in a show where I have to argue and defend basic principles of humanity and kindness. It was not something I’d ever do again.”

General Hospital Fan Club Weekend brought out many of your favorites to the four day event; with the main cast gathering on Saturday, August 1. Fans near and far attended the weekend held this year at the Burbank Marriott Hotel. Adam loves Sharon it was no way believable he would ever love anyone else. Chelsea is a con and gives her baby away . No one will ever except her. maybe if the actress could act.
Thanks but I will have to wait and see..I have been waiting for a very long time for a story of depth and love for Likey Lauren and Michael..Christian LeBlanc a three time emmy winner and Tracey Bregamn a 1 time Emmy winner have been reduced to props for the Newmans and it has gotten to the point that I gave up and only watch when Michael, Lauren or both are on..I can no longer tolerate what they have done to my couple..Whenever CLB and TEB have had a chance to shine..they have rocked the show..If Josh or Jill continue to use them as props for the others I am completely done with Y and R..

I never liked Chelsea It was never believable that they went from her a con raping men and drugging them her entire life stealing the money and left Billy to rot in jail. She blamed her mother but she is an adult. She gave away her child with a blink of an eye! It is disgusting. Most hate her for that the most. She is fake and sickening NO CHEMISTRY sorry! Re cast her she can’t act just giggle and homley looking Adam needs to be with someone his mother would aprove of like Sharon
I do hope you are right, Michael M. In recent years, I have not enjoyed my Y&R as much as I once did. The Newman, Abbott, and Wililams families have been so tossed and torn, the relationships and characters no longer seem defined or make sense. Thanks you for the tease and we the fans, with you and your fellow castmates, hope for better days in Genoa City. There were once times, Y&R was so bright on my radar. I cannot say that right now.

I agree I liked him much better being bad. I do not like this Chelsea person She and Adam are boring. I never liked her and think the acting is really bad. I also loved Adam how he was with Sharon. Much better fit. Although I loved Sharon and Nick and pray Phyllis is off the show soon . I’m so sick of that character and her issues she is on this show so much It’s horrible. They better make Phyllis go to Jail! I wish we find out that Snotty Summer is NOT Nicks baby. Poor Jack I love him. I hope Nikki and Victor act like to grandparents already not a high school wanna be.

Sharon seems like the most normal person on the show right now!!! If you go through each character one by one think of there history with crimes sleeping around and cheating its horrific. The characters are all so mean and nasty. The ONLY two people I LOVE is Sharon and Billy and most of the time Jack. That’s it!!!

I’m THRILLED about the new writing team (because honestly, a monkey in a top hat would do a better job than the hack Maria Areana Bell was) and I am so happy that Michael, one of the most vocal and passionate actors, is enthusiastic over the writing changes being made thus far. I, however, hope that the new writers take into consideration Chelsea and Adam’s baby, as well as the popular pairing of ‘Chadam’ itself. I would love to see them keep them together, but make them more of a Bonnie & Clyde duo with their naughty personality traits shining through. As long as Adam isn’t put back with Sharon- I’m happy 🙂

Chelsea didn’t throw her baby away any more than Sharon threw Cassie away. She gave her baby to his FATHER and his wife who she knew would be able to give him a better life than she could at that moment in time. That’s not called being gross; that’s called being selfless.

A lot of twitters seem to be totally self serving lately, including that from an actor coming and going sort of demanding stories. Its becoming not about story telling but about egos and I do not enjoy egos

Muhney’s tweets just solidify my original joy for Phelp’s arrival and Griffith’s return. My only hope is that Adam doesn’t turn evil again, and that he and Chelsea stay together! Michael and Melissa have amazing on-screen chemistry and their pairing is one of my faves on the show.
Plus, I hope they reunite Nikki and Jack back together. Jikki topples over Niktor any day!

Loved SHADAM; cannot stomach the CL/AN pairing so hopefully the new regime will fix that dastardly mistake MAB made in breaking the amazing chemistry MM and SC shared up. Looking fwd to the cohesiveness as well. So many plot points were just dropped and fans get tired of it.

How could Adam have stopped loving sharon, It is very difficult to believe it, I’m still a big fan of the YR but, God put them back together.
