Y&R's Sean Kanan on Good Day L.A. – Being a "Modern Gentlemen" & his new book!

The Young and the Restless, Sean Kanan (Deacon Sharpe) is out promoting his brand new cook book than is more than just your average celebrity recipe sharing! Kanan’s book, The Modern Gentlemen: Cooking and Entertaining with Sean Kanan, is really also a lifestyle piece which at its core addresses the perception of men from women, and as Kanan alluded to touches on: helping men avoid being put in the “friend box” by women they are interested in, using food as a metaphor for connecting with someone, and tips on being a “modern gentlemen” in today’s society …and that is just for starters!

Kanan visited on Friday the set of Good Day L.A. and discussed his book, and his motivations for writing it! Make sure to visit to learn more about the book and upcoming book signings in New York, Palm Springs, Los Angeles and Hermitage, PA.

The Modern Gentlemen hits bookstore on September 13th, but you can pre-order your copy now by going to!

I like this guy he is being wasted on Y&R I think it is time for Hope to meet Daddy On B&B !!! Plus he can act!!!!!

That’s a great idea! I would love to see him shake things up on B & B!

I love Sean Kanen, but talk about a guy who’s a bit hard on his women w/o being a tough guy! I can see this being a guide to the art of seduction, but isn’t he a serial cheater (not what I call gentlemanly)?

i love sean and no do not take him away from the y&r.i would like to see him and phyliss together.

I love Sean too! Just signed up to win an “Elvis Kit” personalized by him on his blog! Check it.

‘The Masked Singer’ Runner-up, Ex- AMC’s Jesse McCartney, Recalls Working With David Canary

If you caught the finale of The Masked Singer this week, you know that “The Turtle” was revealed to be none other than former All My Children star and recording artist, Jesse McCartney.

While McCartney came in as the runner-up, losing out to Kandi Burress, he spoke to Digital Journal about his latest single, “Friends’ and recalled his time working with the one and only David Canary (Ex-Stuart/Adam) on the now defunct ABC daytime drama series.

As a young JR Chandler from 1998-2001, that put him sharing on-screen time with Canary, who played his father.  Jesse remembers all of the lines of dialogue thrown at him at a young age was not fun.

When speaking of his time with Canary, McCartney shared: “He was one of the sweetest guys on the planet and he was such a kind soul. He played my father, Adam Chandler, and not only was he the star of the show but he played his own twin brother, Stuart. He had double the lines of any character on the show, and in my three years on the show, he never messed up a line even once. There was a time when David helped me when I was having a moment and I struggled with remembering my lines, so as a result, the soap world for me is very sentimental.”
