It’s a big week for Shicksters! Today on The Young and the Restless, it’s the mother of all bachelor/bachelorette parties when many of your favorite Genoa City residents end up in the slammer during a night of what started out as a massive celebration!

Then on Friday, Nick and Sharon are all gussied up and ready to say their “I do’s” again! Will the wedding go off without a hitch?  Or, will Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) interrupt it?

As a preview to all the happenings, Sharon Case (Sharon) and Joshua Morrow (Nick) sat down with Mark Steines and Christina Ferrare co-hosts of the talk series Home & Family!  Their appearance airs this morning at 10AMET/PT on the Hallmark Channel!

In the first segment (which you can watch after the jump) the duo discuss their 20 years on the number one soap and in a very awkward moment ….  Mark asks if Joshua and Sharon ever dated in real life!  Check out their response and let us know what you thought of that in the comment section below!

Later, Sharon and Joshua preview Shick’s wedding which begins this Friday on the October 3rd episode of the CBS Daytime drama.  Morrow teases: “It wouldn’t be a soap opera if things went off without a hitch!”   The wedding drama will continue into the Monday, October 6th episode of Y&R as well!

Watch Sharon and Joshua on Home & Family after the jump! Then weigh-in, will Nick and Sharon wed one more time?  Or, will Sharon be left in tears in a pretty wedding dress?

I for one hope they actually write it where Nick acts like a grown up & forgives Sharon she was ill at the time. We make fun of mental illness on the soaps but it is indeed not funny and it is serious. I have no desire to see Nick act like his jerk of a father and I also hope Victor gets his for not considering The impact on bringing Phyllis out of this coma it is obvious the character is going to have repercussions from that. I guess that will be Sharon’s fault also. Yawn!

LOL
Nick and Sharon will not last past Tuesday ..

Love them they are the only reason to watch Y&R

Gosh neither one of them have aged! Darling!

Sharon and Nick deserve to be happily married again. There is enough problems with a dad and father-in-law like Victor that there will be storyline forever. Phyllis needs to mess up someone else’s lives. Or, maybe start on someone else’s.

I have been waiting years for this!!!! I LOVE nick and Sharon!!!!! Ppl that give Sharon flack need to realize it was all the different writing regimes that made her crazy but through it all, the actress has been fantastic!!! I want the Sharon from the 90s back and I hope they keep Phyllis away from them and let them be a family with Noah, Faith and Mariah!!!!!! I really hope Sharon hallucinate the DNA test switch!! I like Summer as Jack’s daughter!!!!!

I do too. And Kay is correct when she says that they barely show any signs of aging.
I do think he will forgive her because she was ill at the time and did everything she could, including willfully undergoing electric shock therapy, to jolt her memory.
They are a very touching couple and somehow manage not to feel tired and redundant as Victor and Nikki do. Perhaps it’s because Sharon and Nick continue to evolve and grow while Victor and Nikki seem to be running to stand still.

Fantastic interview; I commend Hallmark for bringing soaps to the forefront. I loved watching this the morning it aired!

I hope the wedding happens. It would be a big letdown if it doesn’t.

Nothing against the two..
But they are worn out hasbeens and they are now simply silly and boring..
It is was overkill of been there done that, to bring them together, again..
but then again– what else could they possibly do with them…. lol

Yet, you think it’s okay for Carly and Sonny, who are a lot older than Sharon and Nick, to continue to reunite time and time again?
It’s okay that you do not like Sharon and Nicholas as a couple but can you please manage some semblance of consistency? To you, GH can do not wrong while Y&R can do no right when the truth is both shows have their good and bad moments.

They are sooooo cute. Love them

I know!!
So many think they cate as little puppies lol..
I use to like them, i really did..
But unfortunately I have had way more than enough of them as a couple, again and again and again lol ..
But then-
if they were not thrown together ‘again’ what would the writers do with them, nothing..
Sharon would sit at home and Nick in his bar, both doing little of nothing..
So, I see the need for them to couple up again even though it will not last, even if the wedding were to happen they are doomed..
All their fans; enjoy them while you can 🙂 !!!

Loved the whole jail party that was really good. I hope Nick forgives Sharon for her secret since she was not in her right mind at the time. This will definitely mess up Victors plans when Nick Forgives her right away.

OMG J.M comments on his hair back in the day . What about now. How much gel does he use? Please someone get this guy a haircut and a shave!!!

Shick belong together, so I hope this paternity mess is wrapped up quickly so they can move on with their lives as a married couple.

JM and SC make the most beautiful onscreen couple in daytime. As for that question…did they ever go there in real life…it was pretty funny how they responded, and not all that surprising.

Yeah makes you wonder. Sharon was cool about it but Joshua totally gave it away

‘General Hospital’ Alum Kelly Monaco Reveals She’s Six Months Sober

Kelly Monaco

Longtime General Hospital favorite, Kelly Monaco (ex-Sam McCall), took to her Instagram on Tuesday, September 15 and shared that she is six months, seven days sober from alcohol. Monaco played Sam for 21 years on the ABC soap opera.

Accompanied by a screenshot from the I Am Sober app that tracks the progress of anyone struggling with or trying to not drink, Monaco wrote, “Now the whole 6/7 thing makes sense! #duces.”

Monaco has kept a very low profile since her final episode on General Hospital aired back on October 30, 2024, when Sam had a shocking heart attack and died. It was later revealed that Daytime Emmy nominee, Jeff Kober (ex-Cyrus Renault) injected Sam’s IV with a fatal dose of digitalis.

This year, Kelly has posted on her Instagram account a total of four times, most recently to celebrate her mother, Carmina’s birthday, who turned 70 just four days ago.

Jumping into the comment thread on Kelly announcing her sobriety were several of her former GH co-stars including Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny, GH) who shared, “Love this. Congrats! 👏👏👏,” Ingo Rademacher (ex-Jax, GH) who just posted the hands up and heart emojis, and Lexi Ainsworth (ex-Kristina, GH) who wrote, “So proud of you 👏 badass.”

With this season’s Dancing with the Stars about to kick-off tonight, in which Kelly was the first-ever celebrity winner in season one and returned for an All-Star version, might we hear from her on her picks or thoughts on this year’s batch of contestants?

One thing has remained a constant with Kelly’s unwavering fan base they want her back on General Hospital, because as we know in the soaps, many people somehow come back from the dead, so why couldn’t Sam?

Share your thoughts for Kelly and her six months of sobriety via the comment section below and if you would still like to see her back on General Hospital or even another soap opera within the next few years.

Soap Alums Remembered During In Memoriam Segment at 78th Emmy Awards; Patrick Muldoon Omitted

In Memoriam Emmys 2026

During last night’s 78th annual Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony, as it does every year, the television academy paid tribute to those in the industry that they’ve lost over the last year; since the previous Emmys held each year in September.

Starting with an emotional tribute to the late Catherine O’Hara by three of her co-stars, Schitt’s Creek’s Annie Murphy and Dan Levy and Home Alone’s Macaulay Culkin, the segment then dovetailed into Noah Kahan performing “Bridge over Troubled Water” as the faces and the names of those being remembered were shown on the screen.

Daytime soap alums, who either stayed in the genre for the majority of their career, or went on to primetime success as well, were honored including: Anthony Geary (Luke, GH), Hayden Panettiere (Sarah, OLTL, Lizzie, GL, Juliette, Nashville), James Van Der Beek, (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek, and Stephen, ATWT), Gil Gerard (Alan, The Doctors), June Lockhart (Mariah, GH), Patricia Crowley (Mary, Port Charles and GH), Randolph Mantooth (Clay/Alex, Loving and The City, and Richard, GH) and Jon Cypher (Alex, ATWT and Arthur, Santa Barbara).

THOSE HONORED AND THOSE WHO WERE NOT

However, in a glaring omission, the producers of the In Memoriam failed to include Days of our Lives beloved star, Patrick Muldoon who played the OG Austin Reed and also Richard Hart on Melrose Place. Muldoon passed away in April of this year at 57.

After Kahan concluded his performance, a special tribute to Rob Reiner began with Jamie Lee Curtis taking to the stage to share some warm words about her late friend.

In a ironic and sad twist, Curtis shared ,“Last week, Robbie won an Emmy for guest actor in a comedy series for his beautiful work on The Bear, and he now holds the record of 48 years for the longest gap between acting Emmys, which was previously held by his father Carl Reiner, at 37 years.”

Reiner, who along with his wife, Michele Reiner were killed by their son, Nick Reiner, is currently awaiting a decision if he will stand trial. Prosecutors on Tuesday, shared they will not seek the death penalty if he is convicted at trial, but instead life in prison. Curtis said of Rob, “He was generous and kind and funny as hell, and a friend to all. We all miss Rob and Michele and all those we lost this year.” The Emmys then faded to black and went to commercial break.

So, were you happy to see those who you know from their work in soap operas included in the 2026 In Memoriam tribute at the Primetime Emmys? Share your thoughts in the comment section. But first, in case you missed it, you can watch it below.
