Y&R’s Sharon Champagne Mystery Gift Will Soon Be Her Worst Nightmare. Who Is Watching Her?
You know it’s going to be ‘Creepsville’ when you receive a bottle of champagne with a stain of blood on it and a card that goes with the gift that says, “Memories are what life is made of”. Cue all of the speculation for The Young and the Restless Sharon Case (Sharon) and her new storyline.
It’s been a minute since the character has been front-burner, but this storyline really kicking off this week on the CBS soap opera, will put the now Daytime Emmy-nominated Case in an intense and dramatic story.

If you saw Friday’s episode of Y&R, you know that Sharon received a champagne bottle as a supposed gift, but has no idea who sent it to her. Meanwhile, lurking outside of Crimson Lights is someone keeping tabs on her.
The rumors are running rampant, and it would seem to be on track, with fans of Y&R believing that the diabolical Cameron Kirsten is back and will terrorize Sharon some decades later. The character last appeared on the soap opera back in August of 2004. Add to the fact that Kirsten’s portrayer, Linden Ashby is married in real life to Susan Walters, who plays Diane Jenkins on the series, it all makes sense.

For a bit of a walk down memory lane: Cameron Kirsten had sex with Sharon in a hotel room and then beat her. Later, he turned up in Genoa City threatening her if she didn’t meet him for a hook-up. On one fateful New Year’s eve, Kirsten tried to rape Sharon. She bashed him over the head with, wait for it, a champagne bottle in self defense. Poor Sharon then had to dispose of his body. However, eventually, he turned up alive and then ended up behind bars. Smart money is he is out of jail and coming back to GC with his eye on making Sharon’s life a living hell.
During the Michael Fairman Channel’s Daytime Emmy Nomination Special 2023, Case revealed she was working hard on a ‘big’ new storyline. She also had admitted she couldn’t say with who, because at the time they hadn’t aired yet.

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, Y&R’s EP and head writer, Josh Griffith teased: “Sharon decides to throw out the champagne bottle thinking this will put an end to her uneasy feelings. Little does she know this gift is just the beginning of a very wild ride.:

Now let us know, do you think it will be revealed that Cameron Kirsten is stalking Sharon? Share your theories via the comment section.
Case has always said that storyline was one of her favorites and she and Linden Ashby worked well together now if JG can write it they will deliver .
I was kind of hoping it would be Matt Clark even if he supposedly died all those years ago.
Not sure I like it. I sense TPTB think they are answering viewers’ calls for attention to legacy and character but… so much oif the show seems repetitve. Sally pregnant after ormancing both Newman brothers. Diane’s return and rehash of how everyone hates her. A faked death. Look, I know the Cameron/Sharon story back in the day was exciting during a time Y&R seemed failling off the rails. I will endure 2.o it as it gives Sharon storyline and if it can bring Sharon and Nick together again. But make it good. We had Ashland and Jeremy set to terrorize Genoa City and they were offed quickly and without consequence. And that stupid Return of Stitch storyline. It may be time to elevate some second generation legacy characters, but please do better than Abby/Devon or the minimization of Chance. Let some bad actions be punished and send a few characters on their way. Bill Bell revived his show with the introduction of the Abbotts and Newmans. May be time for something like that again.
I’m cool with SC getting a great storyline as long as it’s well written. With JG who knows. I want to add I don’t want her mental health played with or jeopardized in any way.
If JG toyed with Sharon’s mental health, that will be the last time I watch the show. As someone who is bipolar, to have that toyed with is a non-starter for me.
All I know l whenever she and JM share a scene it’s magic !
I liked the actor Cameron Kirsten but did not like that SL. Also Nicki is a little too old now to help Sharon go bobbing for rats in the sewer again. Her ex husband, Nicki’s son was in Witness Protection but don’t think he’d return with a stalking type theme.
They’d have to get the character of Dylan recast as Steve Burton (thankfully he’s another shows problem) is otherwise busy someplace else.
I wasn’t watching Y&R back in the Sharon and Cameron days. And from what I read, I wouldn’t have become a viewer. There are just too much gruesome story lines in soaps for my taste anymore.
rose,
This really was one, I had to cover my eyes all during the sewer scenes, disgusting!
More Sharon any which way pls!!!!!
Have her lean on Chance too with Nick getting jealous for a nice Chance/ Sharon / Nick triangle but have her choose Chance. Nick doesn’t deserve her after that horrible choice of going after Sally his bros ex.
I wish people would give up on a Sharon, Chance connection, she’s way too old for him.
Sharon Case is timeless. Gorgeous no matter her age
Damien,
I agree. I’ve just got a thing about older women and younger men.
I don’t trust this story in Josh Griffith’s hands. But, it will be nice to see Sharon Case in a front-burner story. The original Cameron / Sharon story was a twisty, thriller-like ride.
Every time I see her and JM I say why in the heck are you not putting these two people together ?? They just shine together the chemistry is off the charts
Adele,
I always think of them as teens when they had their fairytale wedding. Sharon looked like a real princess.
Both of them deserved Emmy’s for the Cassie storyline I feel JM did his best work ever so yes I would love if they put them back together . I mean how many storylines of Nick and Adam over a silly woman . Also you need to address the Christian thing it’s really sad the invisible kid ! Sloppy writing!
Adele,
Funny you mentioned Christian. When all the kids had their little get together the other day, I thought that they have to get this kid in the mix, he and Conner our brothers, wonder if he knows Adam is his birth dad and his grandfather tried to take him from Dad Nick? What a family!
The Cameron Kirsten storyline was my favorite ever on the show. It felt like every episode ended with a cliffhanger that left you wondering what could happen to Sharon next. Completely different writers though, so hope it delivers something half as intriguing as the original.
I’m glad the queen is getting a story, and I hope it pulls Nick away from the dreadful Sally pairing
Kim,
There’s been lots of dreadful pairings lately, i.e Jack and Diane, Ashley and ???, forgot his name, Nate and Victoria, Abby and Devon. I don’t care for Nick and Sally either, because we know she doesn’t return his feelings, just trying to get over Adam.
Well I’m screaming if they make this about Sally ugh
If you make this storyline about anyone other then Case the roof will fall down on your blood stupid head JG this is not a story about a second rate actress Sally nobody gives a crap about her if you do this well I’m done and so is a big audience ! A 27 year veteran deserves this about her!!

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Preview: Kyle and Victoria, Stephanie and Nate, Sally and Billy: Do Any Couples Have a Chance at Lasting Happiness?

This week, couples get closer and some may be playing with fire, when all-new episodes of The Young and the Restless begin on Monday, September 14.
First, Y&R viewers know that Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally’s (Courtney Hope) October nuptials will be front and center come October as previously teased by Y&R’s executive producer, Sally McDonald.
However, this week’s video spoilers show Sally sitting with her ex Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and she asks him for a favor. Adam seems happy to help, when he responds, “Anything.” Next, Sally tells hi, that this,”could be a matter of life or death.” What could Sally be asking Adam? Does it have to do with Billy’s baby that she is carrying? Come Sally’s wedding, will Adam and Billy’s endless feud rear its ugly head in the worse way?

Then, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) can’t fight their attraction to one another and share a few kisses as they slow dance together at Nate’s apartment. However, Y&R viewers know that Vivica A. Fox just wrapped her current run as Stephanie to go film her featured role in the Netflix film Women Like Us. At some point soon, Stephanie and Nate will have to put a hold on their growing feelings or will they?
Finally, Kyle (Michael Mealor) lets himself into the Riverbank Motel room and the lights are out. He goes to reach for the light switch, but Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is there and tell him, “Don’t.” Looks like their one-time fling is going full on affair. But with Kyle being an Abbott and Victoria being a Newman, plus their age difference, is there any hope at all that their burgeoning feelings can survive, if their families can wind of what they have been up to? Stay tuned.

‘General Hospital’ Fall 2026 Preview: Unexpected Arrivals and Romance; Sonny and Drew at War, What Happened to Jack?

General Hospital’s co-head writers, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte have given the ABC daytime drama’s fall preview of what to look for in the months ahead in Port Charles.
According to the scribes, as told to TV Insider, “Unexpected arrivals, unexpected romance and unexpected connections,” are the order of the season, plus, “secrets are going to be exposed that will upend lives for better and worse — and new secrets will need to be kept.”
In the relationship department, don’t expect everything to go the way you may think! Let’s take a look at some of the highlights that point to some major moments in the near future on GH.

Photo: ABC
ROMEO AND JULIET
“The conflict between Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) will continue to build with potentially fatal consequences,” shared the head writers as Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Rocco’s (Finn Carr) relationship gets more solid, the more it will be tried to be pulled apart, especially by Drew. This is what they are calling their “Romeo and Juliet” young love story.
BURYING JACK BRENNAN
Nina (Cynthia Watros) will be in the hot seat, thanks to evidence planted by Drew and Carly (Laura Wright) overhearing her threatening the MIA Jack. According to the GH head writers, “Nina may face a dark future — but perhaps not as dark a future as those who seek her downfall.” Meanwhile Ava (Maura West) and Drew’s unholy alliance will have “repercussions for years to come.” Let’s not forget they buried Jack’s body.
JASON AND BRITT MAY NOT LAST
Those who wanted Jason (Steve Burton) and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) romance to come to an end, may get their wish! As the head scribes shared, “Decisions Britt made to stay alive while under (Ross) Cullum’s thumb will come back to haunt her and may prove too difficult for this unlikely couple to survive.”

Photo: ABC
ANNA’S BREAKING POINT AND CAN VALENTIN STAY AWAY ?
As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who Jason is trying to save and who has lost her way (thanks to visions of Peter August) and being gaslighted by Cullum and company, it will, “lead to her breaking point and may lead another person to an early grave.” On that note, Carly and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) relationship is tested after his attempt to buy back Spoon Island. Only problem is someone else got their first, and it may be hard for Valentin to deny his feelings for Anna aren’t greater than he thinks.

BROOK LYNN’S LIFE AS SHE KNOWS IT BLOWS UP IN HER FACE
The writers added, “Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) face a turning point. Her secret may finally unravel their marriage; worse, it may leave the family vulnerable when someone comes calling with a claim on Phoebe.” Will Chase now hop between the sheets with his ex Willow? And, will Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel) stake his claim to be the father of the little Phoebe? How can Brook Lynn’s life as she knows it survive this?
TRINA’S STALKER … WHO IS IT?
Does Trina (Tabyana Ali) have a stalker … or a true number one genuine fan? Whatever the case, something ominous is going to happen to Kai (Jen Austin Astrup), when the GH writers shared, “Kai is true blue and will step up to defend Trina— but his closeness to Trina may prove detrimental to his health.” In addition, the stalker situation pairs up Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Trina to try get to the bottom of who is behind it, but in doing so, may have put a target on Emma’s back.

‘BLOODY’ SITUATION WHERE JOSSLYN IS CONCERNED
Josslyn Eden McCoy) gets new orders from the WSB after Brennan goes missing, and things may get “bloody” report the writers. They add, “Joss has her sights set on Sonny — but she’s a target, too. JJE is a big prize, and she isn’t the only one entitled to it.” Who else could be?

Photo: ABC
PAST ROMANCE FOR ALEXIS COMES BACK AROUND
Could Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Ric (Rick Hearst) find themselves in each other’s arms? According to the GH head writers, “A past romance will rear its head in a surprising way,” for Alexis. Who else could it be if not Ric, who may feel jilted by Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) if she and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) get any closer? Might it be the return of Jerry Jacks?
MICHAEL AND JORDAN BECOME CLOSE
Michael (Rory Gibson) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) will develop a “special bond” while working together at Aurora and while Curtis (Donnell Turner) is away in prison. However, “a face from Jordan’s past will complicate her future. We’ll start to learn more about the woman Jordan was before she ever joined the DEA and came to Port Charles.” Is this William Baines (Alimi Ballard) or someone else yet to arrive? Stay tuned.
