Steve Burton (Dylan) of The Young and the Restless took a page from Bradford Anderson’s (Ex-Spinelli,GH) Twitter playbook making a special “addition to the family” announcement during the NFL football playoffs Sunday! Anderson made his announcement during the BCS Championship Game between Auburn and Florida State back in January!

Today Burton tweeted, “Can’t wait for the games today.. btw I’m having another kid..have a great day. God bless.  Thanks for the congrats.. Baby is due mid July.. It is an awesome “surprise”. We are looking forward to another little one! :)”

Bradford Anderson tweeted back, “Tremendous announcement.”  To which Burton replied, “I learn from the best ;)”  Steve and his wife Sheree have two children together daughter Makena 10, and son Jack, who is 7 years old.

In addition, yesterday, Burton posted a photo on Twitter with Sheree and Nashville and former General Hospital star, Jonathan Jackson and his wife Lisa Vultaggio that said, “Enjoying a birthday celebration with @JonathanJackson and his wife and my 15yr wedding anniversary!”

Congratulations to Steve and Sheree for their new little bundle of joy on the way!  Share your congrats for the couple here! And, what do you think about how Steve and Bradford announced they are going to be proud papas again?

Hayley Erin Returns To GH Reprising Her Daytime Emmy-Winning Role Of Kiki Jerome

This week General Hospital viewers should be on the lookout for a heavenly visit, or vision of Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin), as her mother, Ava (Maura West) looks to finally make contact with the daughter she so desperately wants to make peace with from the great beyond!

And with that, Daytime Emmy-winner Hayley Erin will reprise her role and share scenes with her former on-screen mom, Maura West.

Erin exited GH in early 2019, when she joined the cast of Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists on Freeform in which she currently plays the role of Taylor Hotchkiss.

EW.com broke the news with first look photos of Erin’s return here.

Hayley tweeted a photo of herself in front of the General Hospital sign at their set with the words, “Surprise, Surprise”

Michael E. Knight Joins General Hospital

Suffice to say, this is one piece of casting news that made us very happy to hear! General Hospital has cast multi-Daytime Emmy winner, and beloved All My Children favorite, Michael E. Knight in a mystery role on the ABC soap.

Knight, who played Pine Valley’s Tad Martin on and off from 1982 to 2011 on ABC’s All My Children, will begin taping scenes soon when GH returns from its mid-summer production break.

As to who will Michael play? That is being kept under-wraps.  But Knight’s new GH castmate and his former AMC castmate, James Patrick Stuart (Valentin) enthused on the announcement: “I am thrilled, are you kidding me? I love that guy. He’s excited, too; it’s been a while for him. It’s going to be really fun to have him on my turf. I would love to share scenes with him.”

Soap viewers last saw Knight in his role as Dr Simon Neville on The Young and the Restless back in 2015.

So who do you think Michael will play on the GH canvas?  Could he reprise Tad but in Port Charles, since ABC has the rights now to the characters from AMC and OLTL? Stay tuned.

Excited by the news of Michael to GH? Comment below.

Cassandra James Set To Appear in Second Season Of GH Alum Vinessa Antoine’s ‘Diggstown’

In another exciting bit of casting on the Canadian drama series, Diggstown, General Hospital’s Cassandra James (Dr, Terry Randolph) will soon be seen alongside former GH star, Vinessa Antoine in the second season of the CBC series.

Cassandra first announced the news on her Twitter, expressing “Surprise! “Shooting DIGGSTOWN with my GH sister Vinessa Antoine.”

Antoine responded in kind sharing a photo fo the two together on the set of the show relating: “Just a couple of gals making history.  First black person to lead a dramatic show in Canada and first trans woman on a soap together. Wow! Welcome, sister. So proud to have you here.”

On GH, Vinessa exited her role of Jordan Ashford back in September of 2018, and was later replaced by Briana Nicole Henry, after making Canadian TV history when she landed the lead role of Marcie Diggs on Diggstown.  James first came onto the Port Charles canvas as Liz’s childhood friend, back in June of 2018.

Now shooting Diggstown’s second season, no details yet on what role Cassandra will play, or when her episode will air, but MFTV will keep you posted when that Intel becomes available for Canadian fans, and how U.S. fans may be able to view it.

So, what do you think of Cassandra and Vinessa appearing together on Diggstown? Would you like to see more of Cassandra on GH? Missing Vinessa Antoine? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
