’30 Rock’s’ Katrina Bowden Joins The Cast Of The Bold and the Beautiful

Photo: IMDB

Liz Lemon’s former assistant on 30 Rock, Cerie Xerox, is making a move to daytime.  Not really! But the actress who played her, Katrina Bowden is on her way to be a series regular on CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful!

According to TV Line who broke the casting news, Bowden will be a woman who shares a past with Dr. Buckingham (Wayne Brady).

Look for the character named, Flo, to hit the canvas on January 14th.

Could this be a triangle on its way involving Taylor/Buckingham/Flo?

This isn’t Bowden’s first soap turn. She previously got her career started on One Life to Live in a multi-episode story arc back in 2006.

In addition to appearing in all seven seasons of 30 Rock, she has also appeared in PsychUgly Betty, New Girl and several Lifetime Movies.

So, intrigued by the addition of Bowden to B&B? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

I remember when OLTL did those arcs back then. Wasn’t it Michael Malone? Whoever it was it was over-hyped and weird LOL. She looks like a Brigitte recast.

The absolute last thing B&B needs right now is another new series regular. Just a few months ago, B&B introduced Zoe, a newbie who has not exactly become an established character yet. Just last week, they introduced her father, who is brand new to the show and who we know nothing about. Now they’re bringing in a woman from his past? This is all too much, too soon. Y&R is dealing with the same issue with the Rosales family. Characters should be well-established on their own before being inserted into a ready-made love triangle. And with everything Taylor is dealing… Read more »

Usually when they introduce new characters, it means that SLs are coming to a climax, but I can’t see that happening anytime soon. There is still so much ongoing with Hope, Liam, Steffy, Brooke, Bill, etc. Too much for a half hour, and now more? It was so boring the other day, I didn’t even watch it all.

Why are they adding story to peripheral characters? Don’t really understand.

Whomever she is, I hope she takes the good Dr. back with her. I love Wayne Brady, but not in this role, and certainly not as a love interest for Taylor.
