Winsor Harmon (Thorne) who had not gotten to play a major story of his own for several years, has been taken off contract from The Bold and the Beautiful. According to a show spokesperson and CBS Soaps In Depth:  “Winsor Harmon is now on recurring status. It was a mutually agreed upon transition which will allow Winsor to pursue other projects while allowing B&B to have him remain as Thorne Forrester.”

The blood bath has officially begun. Harmon’s the first sacrificial lamb to Frantz’s altar. Frantz hasn’t encountered a storyline she couldn’t chew and shriek her way through, and once B&B becomes the Amber show, more actors will be axed, just like B&B axed Barbara Crampton, Kimberlin Brown, Tracey Bregman, Paul Satterfield, Paul Williams, Marissa Tate, Andrea Evans and the actors that potrayed Grant, Carmen and Mary/Erica to make more storylines for Amber or to redeem Amber. I wouldn’t be surprised if Brad bell axes Aaron Spears, Rick Hearst, Sarah Brown, Texas Battle, Heather Tom, Don Diamont and eventually Alley Mills for more storylines to revolve around Amber.

This isnt AF’s fault. Thorne hasnt had a real story in years. Its better this way. He can find other jobs other than just being a prop.

It may or may not be Frantz’s “fault”. However, history has shown that Brad Bell has fired many actors for the expansion of Amber’s role on B&B. He stated in many interviews in the past during Frant’z first, awful run as storyline hogging Amber that actors were fired/characters were written out to focus on Amber and the younger set (w/c revolved around Amber). Crampton, Buchanan, Kimberlin Brown, Bregman, Williams, Satterfield were all axed to focus on Amber. Despite fan clamoring, Marissa tate’s Becky was killed off so that Amber would get custody of Lil’ Eric (w/c meant more storylines for Frantz). Andrea Evans was written off the show by making Tawney the scapegoat in the baby switch, w/c redeemed Amber and made Frantz stick around instead of being written off the show. Same w/ the actress that portrayed Carmen (I don’t remember her name, but she was the Latina actress that got preggers w/ Sean Kanan’s baby). Anyways, she was fired and her character was killed off while battling w/ Amber on a roof so Amber would have more drama again regarding Lil’ Eric. When Kimberlin Brown’s Sheila returned, her storyline revolved around Amber and making Mary/Erica become Rick’s wife. Those actresses were fired when their characters were written out because Amber had to be the heroine in yet a new arc. So the likelihood of actors from B&B being fired for more storylines for Frantz has a precedent. Thorne is a legacy character that has been on the canvas since day 1. They could have created many storylines for Thorne, even w/ a new actor in the role. How many single father storylines are written well on daytime? Alexandra (they should have named her Thora IMO) is sure to be a troubled teen since her mother Darla was killed and run over by her ex-aunt/almost step-mother Taylor, w/c was covered up by her and her own grandmother Stephanie. Those would be interesting storylines over Amber’s Saga yet again. But it’s not surprising that he is put on recurring while the likes of Frantz gets a contract since Brad bell loves writing for Amber/Frantz.

Winsor Harmon is the only reason I began watching this show. I stayed with it throught all of Brad Bell’s god awful story lines these past few years because Winsor is my favorite actor. I watched for a chance to possibly see him on screen. Now that he’s leaving, so am I. I’m finished with this show. I know that he’s filming two movies this year and I am very happy for him and look forward to seeing him in them. I read where he’s in pre-production now for one of them. Good luck Winsor, I wish you happiness and success.

General Hospital

Lane Davies Joins the Cast of General Hospital Setting up a ‘Santa Barbara’ Reunion with Nancy Lee Grahn

Some very intriguing casting news out of General Hospital. The ABC daytime drama has cast former Santa Barbara favorite, Lane Davies (ex-Mason Capwell), in the role of Fergus Byrne, an attorney who crosses paths with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

According to TV Insider, Davies will make debut the week of May 22nd.  As soap fans know, together with the aforementioned Grahn, they created the Santa Barbara supercouple of Mason and Julia Wainwright. Davies portrayed Mason Capwell family from 1984 through 1989.

Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time in Port Charles for Lane. From 2002-2004 he played Dr. Cameron Lewis and also shared on-screen story with Grahn.  At that time Davies, played Xander Smith’s father.

GH fans are wondering about the last name of Davies new character, “Byrne”. If you recall, Alexis got herself involved with therapist Dr. Neil Byrne, who died when Harmony broke into Alexis‘ house and killed Neil by injecting him with opioids.

Taking to her Instagram, Grahn shared her excitement at the upcoming on-screen reunion with Davies, “It never gets old. We do 😂…. but it doesn’t 😍. Lookin’ forward to another romp.”

So, what do you think about Lane Davies returning to GH to play an attorney in Alexis’ orbit? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

Nominations were announced on Tuesday for the 77th annual Tony Awards by previous winners, Renée Elise Goldsberry (ex-Evangeline Williamson, One Life to Live) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

When the dust settled it was Stereophonic (which is loosely based on the story of Fleetwood Mac) and Hell’s Kitchen (Alicia Keys musical) that both scored 13 Tony nominations to lead the pack.

However, Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along made quite the comeback and is nominated for several awards including Best Revival of a Musical and for one of its stars, Jonathan Groff (ex-Henry Mackler, One Life to Live).

Groff is nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical and will go up against Brody Grant — The Outsiders, Dorian Harewood —The Notebook, Brian d’Arcy James — Days of Wine and Roses and Eddie Redmayne — Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club.

Jonathan co-stars in the revival of Merrily We Roll Along “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe and previous Tony winner Lindsay Mendez.

Back in 2019, Groff visited Live with Kelly and Ryan and discussed his debut on One Life while working at night on Broadway in Spring Awakening.

He shared on his experience on the soap, “I do remember my first day because I was doing Spring Awakening on Broadway at the time, and One Life to Live was my first time ever being on TV.  So I got this offer, and I was like, ‘Yes, I would love to be in a soap opera,’ and we finished Spring Awakening at 11:00 p.m. and I woke up the next morning at 4:0 a.m. to walk uptown to go to do One Life to Live, and I called my agent and left a message, and I said ‘You have to get me out of this, I can’t wake up at 4 o’clock in the morning!'” You can watch the clip below.

The 77th annual Tony Awards will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, June 16, with Tony and Oscar winner Ariana DeBose returning to host for the third time.
