Outstanding writers? Oh LORD

I am sorry, but are they serious??!!

If they are, Lew, then they’re on another planet—Also, this new Jan/ Shawn twist may be headed towards a breakup between Belle and Shawn. The end game? Belle makes a beeline for EJ’s bed.

To me, this is more of a statement about the poor state of the other soaps, particularly Y&R. GH and YR have been constant letdowns this past year. Notable exceptions: GH had the heartbreaking loss of Sasha & Brando’s baby and the terrific character Trina coming into her own. As far as DOOL, I guess the voting committee could always claim that the devil made them do it.

Be that as it may

these 4 serials will never change the standings…

#1 Y&R is at least showing it’s true colors… the real numbers… just stop bragging about how many years @ #1. meh on the value of and what durable writing can .

#2 i could never get in to a 19 minute show.. I can say… i actually think this show started floundering after Susan flannery , retired. Alas, The Logan tramp sistahs, prevail, for naught. As KKL , ( meh, i’m locked in , for her to win an Emmy, if this nails down @GH Laura Wright’ Carly ) Christ I can’t get over her loaded crap! she dissed this genre with her nepotism.

#3 GH continued sick of their crap , over and over, the same shit they stink , Laura Wright and Maurice Benard. whether this makes the board, i don’t care. Wes ramsey is gone… the writers and Frank Valentini, have made their mark on their part of the death knell. with such a superb cast , always waiting in the wings for their chance to lighten this show. it’s like we’ll never know… this show like DAYS have LOADED COUPLES from which to cull…. I’m floored by Valentin and Anna… yeah, anna some how managed to survive her spiral with Peter and Finn… JEEZUS talk about shit on stink… floored with Martin and Lucy, mac and felicia, any thing Britta, Liz, Brad, robert… it’s endless… if this show could do me on more thing… FIRE MICHAEL EASTON… perhaps Roger Howarth meh… we’ll never know.. because thee dullard Corinthos’ clan

#4. this show… is , for all intent and purpose… is utilizing, past and present CAST MEMBERS… this is what has made this show “stable” content enough, to keep interesting… in what’s going on… it may not be story… but.. ALL THE CAST IN’S AND OUT’S. SO IT’S THE DEVIL !!!! at least it’s not Sonny and Carly. it’s enough to still tune in and “ignore” the devil till it reaches culmination… and Deidra hall , can proclaim , the show must go on !!!! about my one wish… if she would… is Carrie Brady …. back for a story arc… of some thing – any thing . she’s so class, high brow… and forever appealing. Certainly better than the retread of ole ole ole Sami and Nicole. and for gods sake… Tamara Braun should be given TOP LEAD ACTRESS ! reunite Kristen, Brady, and rachel for another track… the audience fell in love. this show will always be #4.

the numbers bear out… at least by a million plus “fan” base… the numbers between Y&R and B&B… and then a million plus gives us @GH… it’s only at this point that you may see some fluctuation.. because the number of fan on any given day is what 100,000 give or take between @GH and @DAYS.. so these ratings mean nothing

I will take Ron Carlivati any day head and shoulders above the crap on GH.. save for the new romances , that lie in wait… superb potential… should @ABC,Disney FIRE THE BORING WRITERS.. @GH is the one show that , without the sonny and carly train wreck, shows sign of potential and bar none… the better of 4 serial.

Y&R still sucks… oy LOL… poor fan… nothing is even praised. i’m just happy that B&B Krista Allen, is back on screen.. yeah her dead wigs did nothing.. alas the fans are accepting her.. .so that’s a biggie for me… cause she stirred years ago as Billie Reed. @DAYS of our Lives… yummers and doozy are back on !!! Sonny and Will… AND THEY SIZZLE wow what Zac Tinker does.

Congrats and rightly so… for Days of OUR Lives…. till @GH does something.. they are never an afterthought

Bravo, Patrick! Bravo! From your lips…

You have expertly enumerated (and illuminated) the current state of affairs. For some shows, that state (“same shit they stink,” e.g., GH Sonny and Carly) has nauseatingly lingered for decades…

Thanks for fighting the good fight, Friend!

Breathe in Breathe out.
Namaste.

Good for days. Yandr is a bore and gh id overrated

Well this proves it…. this show just couldn’t make it without me!

Satan
Where are you? Hope you are well, have missed your posts and opinions lately on all sites.

Where am I? Well, right now I think I’m in Allie!

Congratulations!!!

This just shows you why awards have no credibility.

The Writers Guild only sees a few episodes so they aren’t really judging the overall story arcs or plot direction for the full year. The voters are more interested in the scripts for the episodes they see. And let’s face it, “Days” tends to have wittier or campier or just more vibrant and entertaining dialogue than the other soaps. I can see why “Days” could win this award.

I’m always happy to see that Days has received an award. I am wondering if Ms. Schock is a relative. We have so few.

So the SAG Daytime Drama Winners are based on 3 scripts? And 2 of the three were based on demon possession and exorcism from Days. That award is a joke. Change your name to SAD.

The writers are all over the place in everywhichway. But, to be fair, I thought that Greg Rikaart and Billy Flynn were hilarious—amazing acting; yeahyyy—( especially the threesome part) —-we were all LOL!!
Too bad the rest of the show leaves a lot to be desired and nothing to the imagination.
So, EJ may have implied, to Belle, that the note was about a contretemps, however, as far as I can see, the entire soap is a contretemps in itself.

What a joke–Now “what’s her face” is pregnant? Ewww!! Nah–don’t believe it’s Sean’s.
Not to mentiom Anna and Tony–I guess he’s got the hots for that freakish weirdo-banshee; claiming compassion. I wish I could shake her and smack the “nuts” out of her. When she does finally snap out of it, she’ll take one look at her beloved Tony and run for the hills, shrieking, with hands wildly waving in the air; her hair getting frizzier by the second.

Hmmmm. I guess the devil is making the rounds. Now, it’s Allie’s turn? Mamma mia!! Please stop this thing called FARCE!!

Considering Jan went to prison right after I helped her pull her little XXX-mas prank on Shawn & Belle, she didn’t really have time to get busy with any other dudes. So either Shawn is the father, or she’s been getting busy with prison guards at Statesville. And I would suspect they probably try to use female guards in the female division of that prison, so even that is unlikely.

As for my new Allie incarnation…. yeah, I could have fun with this one…. since I own my own bakery now, I’m going to be making a lot of Devil’s Food cakes!!

Yeah, OK Satan, but Jan was Jan when she went to prison. She could have done it with any of the guards, who are not necessarily all female, BTW. I watch “Law and Order: SVU”. LOL
Jan was you when she slept with Sean ( pardon me, Shawn). So, I repeat, how do you make that work? Externally, you looked like Jan—-there still remains the issue of the reproduction organs and how “they” function. Men cannot have babies, even after going through gender re-assignment surgery. I know, I know–it’s a soap. LOL.
Poor Allie. Please be gentle!!

Shouldn’t the devil be pregnant?!?! Not Jan?!?! Also, is the devil simply going to jump from person to person for the foreseeable future?!?! I am getting bored…

So glad you commented on this, Celia.

Jan is a one-note villain. I didn’t watch the show when she, Belle, and Sean were in high school, but in her recent appearances, she is repetitive and thus predictable. I am getting bored…

Again, I didn’t watch the original story for Anna and Tony, but has Anna always been such an annoying, in-your-face character, with the grand, affected, overacting gestures to boot?!?! I am getting bored…

Finally, I agree with you about Sarah. She was annoying as the childlike, pixie doctor. Now she’s annoying as yet another possessed character in yet another hyper-contrived, illogical plot twist. I am getting bored…

And I suspect that some readers may not agree with my contentions. I am sure they are getting bored…

Sarah thinking she was 40 years dead Renee was beyond ridiculous. Now it would seem that she’s herself… but somehow regressed to childhood? If that’s the case, she should have red hair (as Sarah always did, before she went away to college)

I imagine now Maggie will have to explain to her why Tom, Alice, Mickey, and most of the other Hortons are not around. But will she still think Xander is Alex Marshall??

It boggles my mind, Satan. They say, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” That being the case, there is no other soap that will attempt to imitate this preposterous Sarah storyline. “Beyond ridiculous” is the case! And your admonition about the “missing” Hortons (yet available Alex) is something that should be considered.

You know, James–that thought did cross my mind. How does the “take-over” work? Does the ‘host’ become wholly female, inside and out, uterus ‘n all? LOL. The devil cannot get pregnant. —if he were able, then why covet Ben’s and Ciara’s baby? The illogicality hurts my brain. At least, “Rosemary’s Baby” follows a logical pattern. These writers’ reach is stretching too far into the obnoxious–to what end? Drive viewers away? To be honest, I still watch out of habit. I am hoping the nonsense will soon stop and bring back a modicum of “sanity”, for lack of a better word.
Yeah, I’m so bored!!LOL.
I was a little girl when Belle, Sean/Shawn, Chloe, Brady etc. were High Schoolers–I get my info from my hilarious grandmother, a spunky, naughty-mouthed Scotswoman. LOL
Yet, the discrepancies go far and wide—There is a huge age difference between all of them. And, between you and me, some of them look it, regardless the nips and tucks. However, this is the norm in soaps, I guess.
I never liked Sarah. She’s not a very endearing character. I was not familiar with the actress before now, so I don’t know if it’s this role or the actress herself. Yeah, I’m so bored!!
I like Gwen, albeit she’s a bad girl. I’ve liked her since her Y&R days, as Jana.
Aside: what’s up with Roman’s hair?

Nancy Lee Grahn, who portrayed Pullos’ on-screen mom took to X on Monday night, April 29th and shared on the sentence and the specific jail, Haley will be serving time: “As Haley’s TV mom I can tell some truths about her as I’ve loved her since she was little girl. She made a HUGE mistake, knows it, owns it & has spent the last yr doing EVERYTHING imaginable to take responsibility 4 it. It’s not that I oppose jail. It’s that I oppose this jail.” The jail in question by Grahn is the L.A. county jail.

So, what do you think about Haley Pullos serving a 90-days jail sentence, and the other rulings that will be part of her sentencing? Comment below.

REPORT: Nicholas Chavez Not Returning to General Hospital

For those who were holding out hope that Daytime Emmy winner and fan favorite, Nicholas Chavez would be returning to General Hospital after filming his leading role in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters anthology, it looks like those hopes have been dashed.

According to a report from TV Line, although unconfirmed from General Hospital or a representative for Chavez, the actor will not reprise his role as Spencer Cassadine on the long-running ABC soap opera and continue the love story of Sprina opposite Tabyana Ali (Trina, GH).

Chavez was cast as Lyle Menendez over the the summer of 2023 for the second season of Murphy’s limited Monsters series on Netflix. In the upcoming season, the series will focus on the the case of Lyle and Erik Menendez, the two well-to-do Beverly Hills brothers accused of murdering their parents in 1989.

Photo: ABC

After word from Chavez casting was revealed, GH fans were concerned over the fate of the Sprina story, a spokesperson for GH shared,  “We support Nicholas’ endeavors and look forward to having him return to General Hospital once this project is wrapped.”

In story, the series “killed off” Spencer when he went overboard with Esme to the steely waters below after being injected with a drug, thanks to Esme and falling into the Seine River in France. However, his body was never recovered, and believed to have drowned or washed away. Thus, leaving an opening for Spencer to return in the form of Chavez or be recast down the line.

Photo: ABC

TV Line shared that ‘multiple sources’ are confirming that Chavez is not returning to the ABC soap opera, which is what many had suspected might be the case once he left for this major starring role in a Ryan Murphy project. Chavez has been relatively quiet on social media for months.
