David helps Jane administer the epi-pen but makes her sign papers reinstating him to the hospital first. He asks who Jane Campbell is and she tries to cover but when he sees a photo of a man and a little boy she screams at him to leave it alone. David concludes from the scars that she’s an imposter. Jane confirms but says she loves Erica. She pleads with him not to say anything to anyone and points out how she can help by being Erica. Cara deals with the consequences of what happened between her and Jake. Tad notices something’s off with his wife but Cara doesn’t want to talk about it right now. Griffin figures out what happened with Cara and Jake after she tells her brother that her marriage can never be real because of her. Jake is hit with memories of his past with Cara and the time she left him when they were overseas. Kendall wants to work with Griffin on the Miranda Center and credits her new energy to him. Erica appears to be getting closer to the henchman and he seems to have taken a liking to her. He tells her his name is Ben and Erica’s hopeful about the connection they’ve made. Greenlee struggles to keep her relationship with Ryan alive. She tries to plan a night alone but they’re interrupted by Kendall and Spike. Jackson consoles Greenlee when she panics that she’s turning into her mom. She vows to keep fighting for Ryan. Kendall tells Ryan that if he can’t get past what Greenlee did then he owes it to both of them to walk away. Griffin lays into Cara for almost sleeping with Jake. Tad asks Jake if he’s done with Cara after admitting his feelings for her and Jake says yes. Cara tells Tad what happened between her and Jake and says she still wants Tad if he still wants to be with her. Tad convinces Cara to go back to work at the hospital. Tad and Griffin share a drink and toast to Cara working back at PVH and Tad hopes Griffin will stick around town as well. Cara and Jake toss their old wedding rings into the hazardous materials container. Griffin and Kendall almost have another “moment” when he says he is going to leave town after the charges are dropped.

Bianca promises JR she’ll help him with Marissa but he must promise not to hurt her again. Bianca’s haunted by the memory of being locked in the closet. Marissa shows up and tells her friend they can help each other. Jane tells Jackson she signed the papers for David and Greenlee rips into her for what she’s done. David learns from Jane that Greenlee is thinking of selling the hospital and insists she buy it that way she can help reinstate him. In return he will keep her secret; Jane agrees and a deal is made. Greenlee encourages Scott to fight for Madison and plans to take her own advice in her fight to keep Ryan in her life. Ryan lets Greenlee console him by Sara’s grave. Madison decides to end things with Scott. Ryan encourages Madison that she can still be the woman she once dreamt of being. He does say that he thinks Scott is a good man. Scott tries to rekindle their romance but Madison says she will stay on Frankie/Randi’s couch for now. Scott winds up hitting JR after he makes a sarcastic comment regarding him and Madison.

Marissa wants to give JR another shot and Bianca says she just wants her friend to be happy. Bianca snaps at a guy flirting with her at the bar and tells Kendall she is sick and tired of not feeling safe wherever she goes and she’s trying to shake the bad memories of Ricky & Michael Cambias. When Marissa checks up on Bianca, Bianca admits to Kendall that she can’t lean on her friend because she is falling in love with her. After bringing up some boxes of designer clothes to her room, Colby gives them to Maya. She opens up about Asher and later tells him that she is scaling back from her vlog so she can help him with his recovery. Colby overhears Maya’s call and assumes she must be talking to a boyfriend. Maya denies, claiming it was her aunt, but when she’s alone she gets back on the phone & tells the person on the other end that she cannot see him tonight. Cara tries setting up Griffin and Kendall. Griffin tells his sister he knows what she’s trying to do and thinks it’s because she doesn’t want him to miss out on something she wishes she had Jack). Tad tells Cara that Liza wants to meet with Griffin and is trying to get the charges dropped. He admits he’s not only doing it for Griffin but for her as well. Liza thinks she can get Griffin off and Tad is grateful. He offers to tell Colby what her mother is doing in the hopes it might help heal their relationship. Griffin tells Kendall he still thinks it’s best if he leave PV after the charges against him are dropped. Angry at Scott over his close relationship with Marissa, JR calls Marissa to come meet him at the bar claiming he was hit by a mystery man. Scott shows up and takes the blame, saying he hit JR for no reason.

Bianca has admitted to Kendall that she’s falling in love with Marissa but Marissa has no idea of her feelings. Kendall’s worried that her sister might be closing herself off from something that could make her happy. Bianca pulls out a music box and contemplates giving it to Marissa. Krystal tells Bianca that she doesn’t blame her for the kidnapping and thinks she’s been an inspiration to Marissa. Marissa wants Scott to move back in so he can be with family. While JR thinks that having Scott around their family will only remind him of Madison and the baby she lost, he aggress to call a contractor to help finish the gatehouse. Out of earshot, JR offers the contractor double the money to make sure the gatehouse never gets finished. Marissa runs into Bianca at Krystal’s and asks her to join her, JR & AJ. Marissa thinks Bianca has been uncomfortable around her after what happened with Ricky. Bianca doesn’t want to avoid Marissa and starts to reach for the music box. JR tells Krystal that from here on out he is going to prove he’s the right man for her daughter. Griffin confirms to Liza that he plans to head back into the field once he’s finished doing Zach’s work here in Pine Valley. David says he could be back in power soon and he’d like Griffin to reconsider re-joining the staff as Chief of Cardiac Surgery. Griffin shares the good news with Kendall, no jail time, just community services and he has to pay restitution for the drugs he stole. Excited, she throws her arms around him. Kendall’s excited for him and says she is counting on him to help her with the Miranda Center project. She also gives Griffin an advance so he can use it towards paying his restitution. Jackson’s surprised “Erica” is so accommodating when she signs autographs and takes pictures with her fans. Jane takes it a step further and steps up on a chair to announce that everyone’s meal is on her leaving Jackson charmed. Jack kisses “Erica” and admits he misses making love to her. Erica/Jane says that she wants their first time since being kidnapped to be like it’s their first time ever. Her demeanor changes though when he starts talking about Kendall and Bianca. Jane snaps at him, and later when she reaches for a drink at the bar, Jackson becomes alarmed. David approaches Jane on the progress she’s making and says she must work faster. Liza asks David what he’s up too.

Christopher Cousins Makes His Y&R Debut: What Were Your First Impressions of Alan Laurent?

Soap veteran, Christopher Cousins (ex-Cain, OLTL et al), made his first appearance on The Young and the Restless on the Tuesday, April 30th episode of the CBS daytime drama.

As previously reported, Cousins is taking on the role of Ashley’s friend/psychiatrist from Paris, Alan Laurent. In story, the Abbotts flew Alan in from Paris to see Ashley (Eileen Davidson) first-class ticket to Genoa City, no less.

Alan recalls to Traci (Beth Maitland) how Ashley was upset after revisiting the cafe where she had the fight with Tucker (Trevor St. John), and had two different versions in her mind of what actually happened. Traci enlightens Alan that Ashley has been having personality shifts from being assertive, to child-like, to taking tequila shots and having a good ole’ time. In addition, that Ashley is having blackouts with chunks of time gone from her memory.  Traci goes on to say that Billy (Jason Thompson) said he once experienced something like this himself with a personality splinter.

Traci is hoping Alan can talk to Ashley and insist she undergo treatment. Alan firmly explains that he can’t treat her himself, but he will see what he can do.

When Ashley, now as her alter Belle, comes to the Abbott home after chatting with Diane (Susan Walters) at Crimson Lights, she is thrilled to see her old friend, Alan. Eventually, the two head to Society where a concerned Abby (Melissa Ordway) pours them some champagne.

The two talk about Paris as Belle flirts with Alan. She then wonders if he is in town to probe her innermost thoughts. She tells Alan that her family has decided there’s something wrong with her. Alan assures Ashley that he cannot treat her as a patient in the U.S. as he is retired and does not have a license to practice in the states. Alan said he is concerned for her, but would never treat a friend.

Belle tells Alan, “The rumors about my mental breakdown are highly exaggerated.” Belle speaks to the other alters, and thinks Alan is the perfect solution for Ashley. She says, “Time for some joie de vivre.”

What did you think of Christopher Cousins in his new role as Alan Laurent? Will Ashley’s alters get Alan in bed with her? Will she set him up for something more devious? Will Alan figure out what is going on with Ashley and pretend to just be her friend, while somehow treating her multiple personality disorder? Let us know in the comment section below.

AMERICAN IDOL: Katy Perry Makes a Heartbreaking Decision as Top 7 are Revealed

It was dramatic American Idol on Monday night. The episode marked the return of the “Judges Song Contest”, where Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie each serve up a song choice for the contestant to sing, and they must choose one and then figure out who recommended that song choice.

As in the past, when it got down to the bottom two from the at-home voting, the judge who scored the most picks of their song choices by the contestants, was in the drivers seat and could ultimately save one of the two performers to sing another day.

After a night of sterling musical performances by Jack Blocker performing Willie Nelson’s Always On My Mind, Abi Carter doing her rendition of Evanescence’s Bring Me to Life, and Emmy Russell performing her grandmother Loretta Lynn’s classic, Coal Miner’s Daughter, the following were safe after the nationwide vote.

Photo: ABC

The aforementioned, Blocker, Russell and Carter, plus Will Moseley, Triston Harper, and Julia Gagnon. However, that left McKenna Faith Breinholt and Kaibrienne in the bottom two. At that point, Katy Perry conferred with her co-judges and announced with tears in her eyes, in an almost impossible choice for her, to save Breinholt, thus Kaibrienne’s run on ‘Idol’ came to an end.

Photo: ABC

The episode also welcomed back former Idol contestants Danny Gokey, Melinda Doolittle and Colton Dixon for a performance of “Shackles,” in honor of former Idol contestant, Gospel artist, and Grammy-winner, Mandisa who passed away earlier this month at 47.

So, did America get the Top 7 right? Did Katy do right by keeping McKenna for the Top 7 and sending Kabrienne home given her choices? Are there too many country artist contestants left in the mix? Share your thoughts via the comment section below. But first watch what happens when the final 7 are whittled down and Katy’s anguised decision.
