Beyond the Gates
Nick Hagelin Makes His ‘Beyond the Gates’ Debut as Noah Rollins

Beyond the Gates viewers were in for a surprise on the Wednesday, July 22 episode when singer/actor/dancer, Nick Hagelin made his soap opera debut as Noah Rollins, the son of Dr. Kial Rollins played by soap vet Greg Vaughan.
In story, Noah comes to the DMV area and lands at none other than Orphey Jeans coffee shop. He is spotted by Deanna McBride (Angela Fairley) who becomes quite smitten with him. However, Noah is having trouble paying his bill to June (Daytime Emmy nominee Jasmine Burke).
One thing leads to another, and Deanna comes by his table and offers to pay for his bill. Noah gives her his number (his phone died and he has no plug) so she can Venmo him her account info to send her back the funds. Later, Deanna talks with June, who notices how Deanna and Noah had eyes for each other, and senses there was definitely an attraction there.

NOAH IS INTRODUCED
Next, Noah comes to Garland Memorial Hospital looking for his dad, and runs into Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix), who knew exactly who he was and brings him to see Kial, who is surprised to see his son in town.
Noah needs money and Kial won’t pay it, unless he takes a job to pay for music career right here in the DC/Maryland area. Kial tells his son, Atlanta and New York City aren’t that far away if he gets a gig. So, Noah agrees to apply for the job at the free clinic, which Kial will help push through and in return he will get him some cash. Noah is then going to crash at Kial’s place and Kial will go stay with Nicole.
Nick Hagelin is an Atlanta-based performer which is where Beyond the Gates is taped. Previously, Hagelin was in the Top 9 on NBCs The Voice, and has a band in Atlanta called The Fantasy Exchange. Nick also writes and produces for other artists and has had his original music featured on the series, FX Atlanta and Saturday Night Live.
As a ballet dancer, Nick trained at the prestigious School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center in New York City and he has performed with the American Ballet, plus Carolina Ballet, The Kirov, Atlanta Opera, and the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre. Hagelin’s acting credits include the Indie film, Exit Interviews starring OLTL favorite Tuc Watkins (ex-David Vickers), Max’s Sweet Magnolias, The Hunting Wives and many more.
GREG VAUGHAN GONE FROM BEYOND THE GATES?
The addition of Kial’s son to the canvas left many fans wondering if Greg Vaughan has already left the show or was his recent Instagram message about something else entirely. Beyond the Gates tapes over four months ahead of episodes airing on CBS.
Vaughan’s post shared, “My heart is full. My purpose is just getting started. I’m grateful for my life, my family, the people who consistently show up, and the lessons that shaped me. Every challenge has become preparation. Every blessing has become perspective… I’m simply grateful for how far God has brought me, and excited for everything that’s still ahead.”
Greg concluded: “Thank you to everyone who’s been part of my journey. Family. Friends. Fans. Colleagues. Your encouragement has meant more than you know. Here’s to the next chapter.”
Friends and colleagues jumped into Vaughan’s comment thread including: Robert Christopher Riley who plays Carlton on Beyond the Gates who shared, “Love and miss ya buddy,” fueling speculation that Vaughan is no longer on the CBS soap.
So, what did you think of the on-screen debut of Nick Hagelin as Noah Rollins? Intrigued to see more? Do you think from Greg Vaughan’s message that he is no longer on Beyond the Gates? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

As first reported by Michael Fairman TV, Scott passed away on Sunday evening, July 13 at the age of 68. His son, Jackson Bryce took to Instagram to make an official announcement of his father’s passing sharing, “What began as stage three esophageal cancer eventually spread and became brain tumors that took his life away from him.”
As the World Turns fans know that Bryce was smash hit in the role of Craig Montgomery, a part he played for several runs on the CBS soap opera from 1982–1991, 1993–1994, and 2007–2008. Along the way, Bryce earned two Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nominations in 1986 and 1987.

AS THE WORLD TURNS CAST SHARES REMEMBRANCES OF SCOTT BRYCE
Over the last few weeks heartfelt condolences on the loss of Scott have poured including from: Finn Carter (ex-Sierra, ATWT), Martha Byrne (ex-Lily, ATWT), Melanie Smith (ex-Emily, ATWT) and many more.
In fact, Bryne made note to TV Insider following the loss of As the World Turns co-star, of just how memorable Bryce’s work with the late Elizabeth Hubbard’s work as Lucinda was, and their unforgettable pairing; “The energy between them, their dynamic, all the play, fun, and the intensity just jumped through the screen. Most actors wouldn’t go down to set just to watch other performers. They’d stay in their rooms. I would go and just watch them work.”
The livestream will be broadcast courtesy of the The Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Westport, Connecticut.
We all loved Scott Bryce and his powerful performances as Craig on As the World Turns and his body of work in primetime television as well. Now, it’s time to say our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to his family and loved ones. Comment below.

General Hospital1 week ago‘General Hospital’ Marks Unprecedented 16,000th Episode Milestone with New Cast Photo

this will break my heart,I seen it earlier ,yelling at my tv why abc ,why didnt you do this years ago advertise the soaps at night ,they never did, whenever I watch nbc they do it for days of our lives.Well were down to 4 days ,Looks like alot of the families will be leaving town ,humm ,could we be heading to port charles?I seen the ratings for g.h. they are down for 2 weeks now ,they have to change those stories ,its the same thing day after day ,seems like there saying the same things to each other, its like, did I watch this yesterday ,last week, hell last month.our one life to live writers should be in place now,It will be interesting to see where all the cast will go,turn general hospital back to when it was good ,that was a long time ago.Its been the sonny corintous show for so long ,I forgot how good g h use to be.hell I was there when they taped at niagara falls, well close by,couldnt see much but it was cool that they were there taping, we saw most of it on our local news ,god thats a long time ago.,wish I could go back in time, that would be nice.
I still can’t believe it. I keep hoping it a bad dream. as flash back of the stories go across my head and I remember sitting in front of the tv everyday to watch my stories. so much of my life revolved around the soaps. I thought I would be able to someday past this down to my child. The Soap are more then a television show. it is a generation thing and I trust the Actors will move on with better things. But still they will be miss. I am praying I am able to make it to the JAn 21 event. 🙂
It is just far too hard! just can not hold back the tears.
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message OLTL Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
OLTL was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
W. H. Auden (with substitutions)
It’s too reminscent of AMC’s final promo. Has ABC gone so cheap that they can’t even come up with some originality? At least CBS gave GL and ATWT final promos that were significantly different from each other.
And at least CBS gave GL a proper ending! Not like the liars at ABC who told us we would get one too but left us without an ending on AMC & probably none on OLTL too!
They also gave ATWT a proper ending which was even better than GL’s ending.
Can’t wait to see how OLTLwill end. Erika Slezak say that she thinks an alternate ending was filmed in case the Prospect Park deal would fail. Let’s hope that she’s right and that they air this version instead.
A very, very sad week. It is the end of something special. Life will not be the same without One Life to Live. I m still praying somehow it will be saved somewhere, sometime soon.
How Can you TKE OFF OLTL???? I have been watching since it started. I watched it with my mom and now I watch with my kids! I will NEVER WATCH ABC AGAIN!!!! You are totals MORONS if you think we want to watch more idiots telling us what to eat and what to wear and how to live. I DONT CARE! I watch the FOOD NETWORK for FOOD shows. I watch ABC for my SOAPS! No Soaps, NO WATCHING ABC!! I hope you lose all of your ADVERTISERS!
I’m just heartbroken at this point. Never thought I’d see this day come:(
What I realized, while watching Vicki in her early years, was;
I grew older along with her..
The original cast and those who followed later, all look so very young in the flashbacks, as did I during the 60/70’s..
A soap is the only series that one will and has aged along with the cast / 43 years later, here we are, gray with wrinkle creams (some of us)
I cant believe you have a counter on the site like you are counting down to a GOOD thing. This is CRAP!! Put on ANOTHER STUPID reality show. That is what we want. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Tonya:
The clock was put on here to know just how precious the time we have with OLTL is! It was put on here for long time fans and new fans to not miss a second, an hour, or an episode as OLTL heads towards its final episode. It was reminder of how fast times goes by and to relish every second that the show is giving to you and others as it heads to its sad and untimely finish line.
If you follow me on my site, and my work, you would know what my feelings are about OLTL I think they are loud and clear, just how much I love and treasure this show.
We all are upset.
Michael
Michael, I love you, you are the BEST. I sent you an email complimenting your GENIUS work and interview with Genie Francis. You know ALL the RIGHT questions to ask. God Bless you and your Dedication to the fans and this genre.
And I second that ,Its nice to be able to put down in print how I feel ,and loosing one life to live wont be easy ,and its nice to share that with people who feel the same as I do.Even to the people who have other interesting things to say. I go along with the clock,Every second that is going by I feel it in my heart.I love one life to live ,there will never be another soap like it and we only have 3 more days , I cant wait to see it tomorrow ,but that will mean were at day 2 ,then 1 then its over .And I just cant believe that there wasnt somebody ,anybody out there that could have saved my soap.
I have never liked the clock! It’s an in your face reminder of something terrible headed our way that will be so painful & we are powerless to stop it. We’ve all been dreading the day since April 14. Painfully aware of Black Friday’s rapid approach.
Holy COW! I didn’t even make it past the first 2 seconds…hit me like a ton o’ bricks! I have no words left in me to describe how I feel :'(
other than: “Thank you, Agnes Nixon, each and every actor, & each and every member of the extraordinary crew, from the bottom of my heart! I will cherish and treasure each and every moment we’ve ever shared. I will never stop fighting for you…EVER!!”
God Bless You All!
Kim Anderzak
I THINK ABC IS IGNORANT FOR CANCELLING MY SHOW “ONE LIFE TO LIVE” AND ABC IS GOING TO GO SO FAR DOWN THE DRAIN WITH VIEWERS THAT THEY WILL HAVE TO BRING IT BACK!!! MY FAVORITE ACTOR IS STARR, STORYLINE IS PERFECT TO MY LIFE I LOVE HER TO DEATH AND SHE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED IN MY LIFE AS WILL THE REST OF THE CAST!! <3 JENNIFER FROM HENRYETTA OKLAHOMA
This is killing me. Will be glad when it’s all over. I can’t take much more of my anger at ABC & my sadness over the unfairness of it all.
Where is Starr going? Why is James crying? Does Bobby die? Do Natalie and John truly get their happy ending? Oh my gosh, this show cannot leave us.
Why is Gabrielle in heaven? She’s worse than Stacey! I can’t believe there are only a few episode left? Since I won’t be watching ABC anymore after this week, any suggestions on what to watch in the afternoon?
If i recall she changed,I always liked her ,didnt like she was killed off, her and bo were going to be married . stacey was a real soap opera bitch gabriel was naughty because she was always getting her heart broken, max was aways hurting her .No suggestions on what to watch ,I will be lost at 2 oclock to ,I wont have abc on ,thats for sure.
I am so going to miss this show. i have grown with this show. please save this show.
Send your SOAP BAR’S to the Abc studio in NYC and show your fustration, by BOMBARDING THEM with soap, which is arriving from all across the United States and Canada. WE NEED to do this so that it can MAKE the News, and draw public support……!!!!!! And put the Revolution show out of work BC of No viewership! So “we” CANT SAY, “HeY, it’s enough people sending soap, I dont have to.” No, ” WE ALL” have to do it..! Cameron Maddison (Ryan) eyes teared up this morning on ‘Good Morning American’ after he Narrated the Histroy of OLTL, and this wasn’t EVEN his show. (I will always Respect you Cameron, You R a Class Act, and TRUST, I remember that you were the 1st to sign up for Prospect Park, and U made it a public announcement b4 AMC ended). 1. By EVERYONE sending soap to Abc studio’s, 2. PLUS, canceling our Cable and getting the DISH (homeowner’s) so that Disney CAN’T profit from their Channels on cable. (None home owners, MUST NOT have their channels on that network from 1 to 3pm. In Fact, find another NOON news to watch, JUST IN CASE you walk away from the TV when the Noon news goes off, and then your channel is on abc by default. Change the channel well in advance. 3. Sign the Petition which is going around on Facebook, and 4. WRITE other networks (Channel 4 who expressed an interest, OR another cable network YOU FEEL that could stand a BOOST in their ratings, from picking up OLTL and AMC. Hey guys, 5. We HAVE TO BE RELENTLESS with this, AND DO IT for THE REST OF THIS WEEK, and CONTINUE IT LONG AFTER….. THE SHOW ENDS, TO SHOW THAT….. THESE 2 SOAPS STILL HAVE AN AUDIENCE and their is MONEY STILL to be MADE from these 2 shows.
Doing ALL 4 of these things is going to be News worthy. KEEP IT IN THE NEWS, and some Network will pay attention and RESPOND, but the FIGHT CANNOT STOP!!!! CANNNNNNOT!!!!!
There are several places to go on facebook One of the soap stars has a place ,daytime fans unite, get counted .THE local news should not be on either ,only watch general hospital then change that channel espn ,abc family ,disney channels,ANYTHING ON ABC ,Id love to sink the abc ship ,they have no respect for the soap fans ,so why watch anything on abc owned networks ,You are right the fight cannot stop even after this friday. watch general hospital , THEN CHANGE THAT CHANNEL,We soap fans cant back down.
i don’t want it to end!!!!
I Hope All The People From ABC That Had Any Thing To Do With Canceling, Of The Best Soap Of All Time. Which Is One Life To Live. Very Soon Regret What They Did And All O,f Them Lose There Jobs, Those Jerks. ABC Your Losing A Long Time Viewer And I Know At Least A hundred More, You Losers
Oh that was heartbreaking. I am so gonna miss this show. :'(
I appreciate the broad shoulder. I think we all do.
Perhaps ABC needs a very big shake up!
I cannot wait for those Jolie scenes!!! i waited soo long for it!!! They keep getting hotter and hotter in every scene. I would have loved to see a Jolie wedding but its sad to say us Jolie fans will never get that wedding..=[ Im gonna miss the cast and crew soo much.. They have done amazing with entertaining us all these years and i wish ABC would see what they are doing to us fans.
Ouch.
I am so sad about the cancellation! I will not watch ABC tv at 1300 hrs. There are too many realty shows…enough! I feel like I know all of the stars on the show. I wish them the best!! I hope to see them on another show!
I love One life to live!! Whomever cancelled it has to be a little off! I will not watch abc at 1300 hrs.
One Life To Live is by far the best of the remaining soap operas and the last week has me on the edge of my seat, scene for scene. The production & writing have been superb under the current show’s leadership. Losing this soap is disgraceful for ABC – release classic episodes on DVD of One Life To Live and I assure you the sales will be through the roof! Us diehard fans are not ready or willing to give up this fabulous show! I hope & pray ABC’s loss will be another lucky network’s gain…
SO SAD,CAN’T BELIEVE IT…..NOW,MY TAPES THAT I HAVE HAD SINCE 1995,TILL NOW…NOT ALL SHOWS,BUT THE STORY LINES IMPORTANT TO ME….HAVE SUCH SPECIAL MEANING….SOOOOOOOO VERY UPSET…..LOVE TO ALL THE CAST AND CREW…AND TO ALL THE ACTORS WHO WOULD HAVE COME ALONG,WHO WOULD HAVE HAD A SPRINGBOARD TO START THEIR ACTING…SORRY…..WE WILL REMEMBER AND WE WILL TELL OUR GRANDCHILDREN WHEN THEY ASK THE QUESTION,GRANDMA WHAT DID YOU WATCH…AND I WILL TELL THEM ABOUT OLTL….WHAT THEY WERE AND SHOW THEM THE TAPES…..OH MY….END OF AN ERA.
You have tapes from 1995?! Lucky you. Please have someone help you edit the videos and upload them to YouTube. You probably have many episodes that are not online yet.
Oh wow this made me cry! I wish someone could do something about this not being online or some cable network picking it up. I get off of work and look so forward to watching my favorite SOAP! I am going to miss it so much! 🙁 This really is so sad. I will miss you ONE LIFE TO LIVE!
You all will be missed so much. It is like loosing a part of your extended family.Wish you much luck in all your future endeavors. After watching you all from almost day one! Love you all. Hope to see you soon.
Words cannot say the sadness I feel for the ending of my favorite show. What hurts most about it is that this show had the same potential it had 43 years ago.
OLTL was the show that Rat Channel always ignored did very little promotion and seldom showcased Erika Slezak and Robin Strasser and many others like they showcased Susan Lucci and Tony Geary.
The following and OLTL movement while not visible is and was the strongest movement on ABC.
ABC and Disney will live to regret this poor decision. Its also shameful that they did not release or resell the rights of this show back to Agnes Nixon.
Anne Sweeney i hope your decision will be fruitful in poison berries.
I totally agree with you. They should have released the rights to it to Agnes Dixon because someone would have taken it and we wouldn’t be losing it!! I think ABC doesn’t want us to be able to watch it anywhere. Jerks. After Friday’s episode, I won’t be watching anything ABC has to offer, not even GH because IMO, they’ve gone so downhill I rarely watch it anymore. I usually only watch OLTL and they’re taking it away. Sad.
This can not be goodbye. I’m hoping it’s till we meet again some where soon on a. Smart network that. Wants to give a loyal audience the people we love and entertainment not stupid info that any one with brains already knows .
i am literally sick.
me too
Maybe if ABC got off its backside and actually ran promos as much as they did with Sonny Knows Best (AKA GH) we’d have more OLTL.
I have watched AMC since near day one..
When it ended it took 42 years of my time watching it, with it, and it was hard very hard to deal with it being gone.
I have watched OLTL for 40 years, and now I must go through another loss..
It is a double whammy for me, and it is hard, very hard, once again…
AMC and OLTL were my only soaps- Those 2 hours will be empty for a very long time..
(damn Disney!- I wish I knew how/were able to put a course on Disney LOL )
Michael,
Please correct me if I am wrong. Wasn’t Ms. Nixon’s original working title for OLTL “Between Heaven And Hell”? And didn’t we hear “Luna” say that to “Cole” today? Wow, what a great episode. Just like everyone else posting comments here, I do not want this series to end.
Mark
Hey Mark!
You are so right, it was “Betweeen Heaven and Hell” and all I could think about was how this episode today really paid homage to Agnes and the original title and bible. LOVED it.
Best,
Michael
Michael,
Thanks for confirming. I was thinking the same about the way the episode honored Ms. Nixon. Are we going to see her on an episode before the end?
Mark
Yes look for an appearance from Agnes!
Hi Michael:
Did AMC get this much Bra-hah when they were canceled? I know there was media attention, and I read stuff on abc.com, amd the like…. AMC, I read on this site Sunday, Jan, 9th got the Cover of People Magazine, and more media attention. Is that so??? What Im asking is, in your opionion do you think that AMC got the Fan-fare/ the Fall Out/ the Out Cry as OLTL?

This is so hard for me to write because the tears in my eyes make it hard for me to see. I can honestly say that I have been upset since last April when the RAT NETWORK announced they were cancelling AMC & OLTL. I too have been a fan of both of these shows since the beginning. To Agnes Nixon, you are by far above and beyond the VERY BEST! Thank You for all the wonderful stories that not only touched our hearts, but taught us so very much about Life and Love. To the cast and crew of OLTL, you are THE MOST TALENTED people in the industry. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for entertaining us and caring for all the fans. Thanks to Prospect Park’s decision not to continue these shows online and making this announcement the day before Thanksgiving, they ruined that holiday and Christmas and New Years as well. The timing of this poured TONS of salt on our already gaping, open wounds, Of course, this torture wasn’t enough so thats why we have to watch the promos of these two vomit inducing replacemebt shows while our beloved shows are ending. I won’t mention their names because that would just give them more recognition. My TV will only be on for GH. I have already stopped watching everything else on this network. ADVERTISERS TAKE NOTICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I for one through all these 40 plus years have bought many, many products because of watchiing the commercials during my Soaps. Well, THAT’S OVER! If I see something I like advertised somewhere else, well that’s the only way I’ll hear about it. The only thing that is giving me a small glimmer of hope is that the people involved in this STUPID DECISION to remove our shows HURT BIG TIME, right where it counts THEIR RATINGS AND THEIR WALLETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So Soap Fans, don’t matter, the genre is over, and no one watches these kind of shows anymore, you say. Well, lets see who has the LAST LAUGH! I FOR ONE, WILL HAVE ONE HELL OF A PARTY WHEN I HEAR YOUR NETWORK IS HITTING ROCK BOTTOM! The few high rating shows you have now like DWTS and Gray’s Anatomy certainly won’t last for 40 years! You had gold and very loyal fans but we weren’t enough for you. We’ll see who has the last laugh!!! My final words in keeping with todays fantastic episode of OLTL, In particular what was going to happen to Mitch Lawrence, ABC and DISNEY BURN IN HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You said it all. Especially about ruining everyone’s holiday season. I have not had a moment’s peace or a decent night’s sleep since Nov. 23.
Im so confused so is Prospect Park going to continue with the story onlilne or not? Because the latest interviews I watched they said to watch us online??????????
Diana;
The video interviews as indicated in the text next to the video and as I have clarified were taped BEFORE Prospect Park discontinued their efforts to bring the show online. So, no, the actors were speaking at the time believing that the show was continuing on, when it fact, it is now not.
Hope this makes sense
Thx
M
Thakns for the clarification. But it was wonderful to hear the hope and anticipation for the online venture. And while we surely appreciate the continued callsto action, I am not sure ALL MY CHILDREN or ONE LIFE TO LIVE will ever come back. As with GUIDING LIGHT and AS THE WORLD TURNS, we may have to say goodbye and move on. I will keep watching GH and following Michael Fairman… and praying the situation may change or evolve in a way we can have this entertainment we really enjoy.
my heart is aching i can not believe its almost over…what am i going to watch…who is going to be there day after day… theres nothing on tv anymore. reality tv sucks…i want scripted drama…i dont want snooki…i want my soaps back!!!!
I am very upset that they are taking this soap off the air…I will NOT watch the Revolution ever!!!!! I want my One Life to Live back!!!!!! I have been a huge fan since it started!
Nobody will watch The Revolution just as nobody has watched The Chew. For over 40 yrs these time slots have belonged to AMC and OLTL, the only people that tuned in to ABC in those time slots were the long time soap fans that HATE ABC for cancelling AMC and OLTL. These new shows are GARBAGE and will be BOYCOTTED. AMC didn’t even get an ending??? I will still tune in to ABC to watch GH, but not before. I even change the channel during GH if an add for The Chew or The Revolution come on, Just the adds make me want to puke!!
I Just want to say to Agnes Nixon I have loved all the stories and actors you have brought into my home each day with oltl ending I “am truly saddened and I hope someday or somehow you will bring it back to us. I will forever hate abc for this and after jan 13 no more abc not even for gh because one is not as good as having all three in the afternoon.
I can’t believe that all of the soap operas are getting cancelled. I am so upset to see amc and oltl get cancelled. I can’t imagine not seeing these shows on. They have great storylines and are entertaining to watch. I want to have hope that another network will pick up these shows. ABC is making a huge mistake, there are too many cooking shows and talk shows on tv already. There is a foodnetwork channel and so many other networks with food shows. Every channel has back to back talk shows on. There should be more of a variety for people. Not everyone likes food and talk shows. KEEP OUR ABC SOAPS ON! I will not watch ABC once these shows are gone!
Say it ain’t so …Please not another boring show telling me how to eat , shop and live…
Give me , sex, lies deception …please
With a heavy heart i leave this comment.I will truly miss this soap.A big mistake was made cancelling this soap.I think they need their heads examined. This one was great.I’ve watched this for many years and dread this show rnding.God bless all these wonderful actors.I wish they would find a way to keep this show going.Like put it on in place of the bachelor. That show is a big fake and i turn on something else cause it’s just plain crazy. These producers need tp grow up.That’s my comment.
I really am truly going to miss OLTL. I have been watching since the 80′s. Too bad it wont be online, like All my Children. My mom watched All my children since it came on in the 70′s. It started with a half an hour, then one hour soap.
I hope one day it will come back on the air or on line I really liked story of two sisters, Jessica and Natalie. It just broke my heart about the story line. Even though I have three sisters.
Thanks for all those years. I will miss One Life To Live for sure.
I have had babies about the same time as Viki was having hers. I literally became an adult watching this soap. I am really going to have withdrawal symptoms. What’s with all these food shows? Whose watching them all? This is sad.
To end One Life to Live is absolutely horrible. I’ve watched that show since it first started. ABC is a horrible excuse for a TV network with the decision to have nixed AMC and now OLTL. ABC’s programming seems to go after the market of the mindless with its cheap budget, reality? shows. My entire family has already dropped watching all other ABC shows. How can a network not respect the audience and a show that’s been on for 43 years? And the way they’re marketing the View’s tribute to OLTL. Ratings, ratings, but no respect for a show that’s had a loyal audience for over 4 decades. I’ve been taping this show during the day and watching it in the evening for as long as I can remember. It’s a great drama, great actors, a show with great plots and twists and turns, it’s humorous. With all the other networks and all the financiers out there, it’s very sad that no one’s stepped up to the plate yet to save it. If someone does, they will be a hero to many of us. ABC, I will delete you from my channel listings as if you do not exist.
Max, Please help me post and get some of this information out:
Martha Byrne has asked that ALL soap fans come together on one page to UNITE! This Facebook page has over 3700 likes already, but this is way too little to make an impact. Everyone who loves soaps or cares about someone who does, please go to the FB page and hit like
Cady McClain (AMC),Martha Byrne (ATWT),Walt Willey (AMC) Vincent Irizarry (AMC),Jordi Vilasuso (AMC).Kassie Depaiva (OLTL)Eric Martsolf (DAYS),Lauren Koslow (DAYS),Crystal Chappell (DAYS)Kassie Depaiva (OLTL),Tonja Walker (OLTL)Ms. Walker also has a Facebook page dedicated to the same cause. Called “I would pay a network/cable/satellite provider to save my soaps!” Catherine Hickland (OLTL),Joshua Morrow (YR),Fritz Brekeller (BTS)Taylor Dayne (SINGER)
Please make the effort to help your soaps, my soaps and everybodies soaps. we are on big family and we all have to do our share. I would pay a network/cable/satellite provider to save my soaps! Tonya Walker made a statement on Dec 7th I would like to share…”Good Morning soap fans! Spoke to a VIP. Yesterday who told me to keep gathering names here. He said that there are People interested in running with the soaps as a business. And that the more people we show would pay for a subscription the more likely we are to get what we want. Especially now before one life is off… so there you go.” love Tonja
If you really want your voice to be heard heres your chance!!!
Call Disney CEO Bob Iger and Frons right now and burn up their phone lines. 818-460-7020 for Brian Frons goes straight to his office. For Bob Iger Dial 818-560-8701 as soon as the recording starts about reaching Stephanie press 0. As soon as it begins saying an operator is not available dial 4566400# Let them know we are united and getting louder and are their worst nightmare!! Tell them to let someone have the rights that can get the shows back into production!
These are the people responsible. At least let them know how you feel
Nicely stated and agreed. It’s that time U can just take a momemt for yourself with the soaps to escape your reality. It’s a good clean escape on top of it. Ur not hurting anyone, causing any problems, or doing drugs. U can have a good cry with the soap, or you can BASK in the Glow of love with the couples with the dynanmite chemistry, or U can have yourself a good laugh at the rediculous and crazy plots they come up with. But whatever one you do, you are safe in your home, hurting no one taking a moment. Soaps lighten the heart in many ways. And for some people sick, shut in, old, handicape, they provide the PERFECT escape into another life unknown to these people.
Join us sending bar’s of soap to the ABC studio’s. Let them see our fustration, having to deal with soap arriving across the United States and Canada. One woman said she is canceling her cable and getting a Dish, so that Disney can’t profit from any channels they own on cable. Also, there is a petiton going around on Facebook, which is seeking 10, 000 signatures. Send your soap to the Abc studio’s and PASS THIS ALONG AND POST ON THIS AND OTHER SOAP OPERA SITES INCLUDING ABC.COM
And then take ACTION on it all…..
I saw this and I was in tears! I cant believe it!! My heart feels sooo heavy.
I have watched this show since i was a teenager. The past 5 years I have scheduled my lunch at 2pm and run home to watch it with my parents!
I’m really sad that OLTL is over. I feel like we are breaking up!!
I dont know if I’ll be able to watch the last episodes!
there are no words to express how i am feeling right now………………
So sad..this is totaly rediculous , this show is the best.. ABC is so not it touch with what they could have made this show,, honestly its in the top 10 of 2011..Who cancels a show this great.. Not Happy ABC..we desrve better than this..we have stood by your network only to be tossed out like garbage.. OLTL is and always will be in my heart!!
I am very sad right now. I have watch this show since I was a teenager and I remember when it was on for a half hour every day. I just can’t believe it. I wish all the stars well in their future and pray for all of them. The show has been wonderful for 43 yrs that it has been on. I feel that you all were and are a part of the lives of us who watch every day . I will always remember all of you on OLTL and how you brought such amazing stories into our lives. Good luck to all and maybe some how in the future you will return to us, your fans. With love and respect to all of you. Farewell to my favorite and the best soap on T.V. Erica, Michael, Melissa, Kassie,Bree, all of you will be missed. ABC will regret this.. God bless you all..
I won’t believe this is the end of OLTL and AMC. As a dedicated fan of both these soaps since 1968 I want to believe ABC will come through and the very least release these soaps to NBC, who has announced that they are interested in them. Please do the right thing, ABC. Fans are a very powerful tool, they can make you or break you. Do I see an end to ABC?
Thank you to all the wonderful actors and crew who has kept soaps on a very professional level. Wishing you all the best.
There are enough reality , self -help, cooking and game shows on the networks to bore an elephant to death !! The “soaps” were an escape from daily life and allowed so many to live a little outside their own routine. All the soaps with their excellent stars, writers, producers, directors and staff will be missed but their contribution to the entertainment community will be remembered always. Happiness and good fortune to all.
I reallllllllllly hate all of this too. Can’t the advertisers see the watchers will now be gone so there ada are shot now!!!!! Only three more shows for me to watch?? I just can’t feel the goodwill for the new shows that are taking their place……………
