Great news for Alicia Coppola! The talented actress and former Another World favorite, who is currently on recurring status on The Young and the Restless as Dr. Meredith Gates, has landed a primo role in the upcoming film, Cowgirl’s Story.

According to Deadline, Coppola joins the military drama by actress-producer Bailee Madison.  Coppola will play Lt. Helen Rhones, a helicopter pilot in Afghanistan and mom to Madison’s Dusty Rhodes.

Cowgirl’s Story is written, directed and co-produced by Timothy Armstrong and inspired by Louisa May Alcott’s classic Little Women. The film tells the stories of high school cowgirls holding down the home front while their military parents are on duty in Afghanistan.

The writers at Y&R will have to find a way to phase out Meredith or recast the part. That’s my guess anyway.

Victor will be getting out sooner than we all thought so there will be no more need for the good doctor. I always liked her and thought she was an amazing actress it’s too bad she got stuck with this story line.

One thing good to add to this is tomorrow is May 25th so we get two newbies. Well actually only one but 1 Jess Walton( Jill Abbott) will be back but knowing those writers we’ll only hang on for a day or two and tomorrow according to another site is the air date for Chrishell Stause. OMG I just thought of something terrible I hope she isn’t Victor’s new love interest. You know she’s the right age for his taste.

Oh, gosh, Nikki, my dear friend….. I hope not!! But, of course, Victor’s ‘hand’ has to touch everything, anything, or anyone ‘new’, lol. So, you make a good point.
Actually, I think another baby-drama is on its way. Phyllis is pregnant and does not know who the baby daddy is….Jack, or Billy?
Also, it is possible that Chrishell will be Billy’s new love interest just when Phyllis decides to leave Jack. Can’t get sopier than that, lol.

Celia I laughed reading your post. Oh yes a pregnancy, but Phyllis? O.M.gosh how old is Summer suppose to be now? Not to mention Daniel. Isn’t Phyllis a grandma with Daniel’s daughter Lucy? I don’t think I could handle another Summer as it is she come on I’m out gardening. I guess the newbie today Chrishell (Bethany not Britney) is just a flash in the pan for Billy. Too bad I love how she answered Jill about her clothing. I think if Billy could fall for someone like her he’d leave Victoria in the dust. So glad to see Jill… Read more »

Right?? These are TPTB’s idiosyncrasies for putting younger actresses in the role of mothers for VERY adult children. Gina Tognoni is for ver young to be Daniel’s mother. If he were to return, it would have to be a much younger Daniel.
I am truly sick of what’s going on with Billy and Phyllis. Too weird for me.
BTW, Nikki, Celia is what my parents call me…CeeCee is a nickname…..I had an issue with my emails; therefore, the change.

CeeCee Your grandma is in my prayers. Give her lots of love. Wish you we’re on twitter. Big hug to Grandma. Did you hear Chloe is coming back to Y&R full time with the new baby? OMGosh there goes Billy & Victoria and Kevin & Mariah for sure.

Thank you, Nikki.
I am not on twitter, my friend. I am really not a fan of social media. This is my only “go to place”. I never got into the swing of it.
Really? No, I hadn’t heard about Chloe coming back. Oh, yeah, OMGosh is right. Earth-shattering quakes and tremors on the way , LOL. All these femmes fatales in one place will certainly shatter our screen, Nikki. Haha!! I do welcome Elizabeth back, though. She, too, is one of my faves.

All of this happened before a live interview was scheduled to happen with Vice President Kamala Harris.  It was revealed that Hostin and Navarro tested positive for Covid-19, and were ‘breakthrough” cases since they had been previously vaccinated.

Host, Joy Behar delivered the news to the audience at home so they knew what was going on with the bizarre moment playing out on live TV, sharing,  “Ana and Sunny, at the last minute we realized they have tested positive for COVID so they have been taken off of the show.”

Harris, who had planned to join the ladies at the table, instead was going to be interviewed remotely from a different place in the ABC TV studio in New York, while Joy Behar and Sara Haines remained on the set.

As for Kamala Harris, Behar added: “It’s very important we keep her healthy and safe. The Secret Service is doing things to make her feel safe.”

While the delay was announced, Behar and Haines took questions from the in-studio audience.

Watch Behar below explain what was going on.

The broadcast’s executive producer, Ian Stewart, confirmed an opening number, when he previously told Deadline, the number “is going to be a lot of people participating, singing, rapping.  It’s hopefully going to be a very impactful start, a ton of fun.”

The Primetime Emmys will have nominees in attendance, with a more limited amount virtually, and those who have tickets can stay in the venue through the whole show, unlike the Grammys or Oscars were those nominated were ushered in and out.  Look for the Emmys to take place outside the theatre under a tent.
