Soap fans are of course hoping that Alicia Minshew (Kendall) will be able to participate and come to terms with Prospect Park for the upcoming All My Children online reboot!

The beautiful and talented fan favorite took to Twitter this afternoon to let her fans and followers know just where things are at this point, tweeting,  “I’m so happy for all of you getting your AMC and OLTL shows back! Many of you have asked me-Yes I have been approached. No news yet! We will see. I am shooting 2 other projects that may interfere with the timing. Again we will see. ”

As some have been concerned, many of the original actors of both All My Children and One Life to Live are currently busy and confirmed for other projects, so scheduling could be a key factor in getting some back in time for the reboot.  Can Prospect Park woo Lish?

So would you love to see Alicia back in Pine Valley as Kendall?  Let us know!

Hasn’t anyone from OLTL been contacted? All the news seems to center on AMC.

Since they’re doing alternating story arcs, and it appears that AMC gets the first arc, it would make sense that they have to get that show up and running first. Once they’ve made progress on that, I’m sure they’ll start working on OLTL.

That is what I was thinking. Must be focusing on AMC right now and then they will go full force with OLTL. This may give GH some more time to use Todd, Starr, and John which will be nice. I enjoy them on GH. I think John should go back to OLTL but I like Todd better on GH. He has more characters to play off of there.

Yeh! What about OLTL ? Have the been aproached yet? We need to hear from
Erika Slezak !

Thank you, Susan! Yes, I, too, keep wondering about Erika, the backbone of OLTL. I would speculate that Prospect Park’s been wise enough to approach her and that things are quiet until something’s been worked out?

Absolutely! And if she’s not available to shoot right away, I hope they work with her and allow her to come back when her projects are done.

Yes I would love to see her back on AMC. I hope that something can be worked out.

isn’t she stunning? i grew to love her and Mother Erica’s relationship… considering how Kendall came about… the rape… not living with her mom… and adding to that… Bianca… like she was the favorite…. Geez her and Zach were fantastic… and watching how Erica and Kendall evolved.. was beautiful.

the Kane women.

Tops is Mona.

I feel all will come back if asked if just to get their AMC family back together..
the cast was family! very close and I do think that will be a factor..

So great all this is coming together and I’ll see my soaps once again!! awesome!

Little worried that we have not heard one OLTL actor confirmed yet, I’ve been worried about it since they were all burned last time….lets hope its just being kept hush hush right now…sounds like they will tape AMC first then OLTL? They have the GH mess to deal with too

Me TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OLTL !!!!!!!!!!!

She was a fan fave and important character, so I hope they can come to an agreement. I really want PP to make this work.

She is my favorite and they really need her and Eden (first Binx) back also. They can work around their schedules just like to do all the time for other daytime actors who have other projects and medical issues. We also need Thorston back as Zach and Susan Lucci back even if she is only on 1 or 2 times a week at first if she is still filming Devious Maids.

It is a reality that these reboots are NOT going to get back all the players but that is exciting!! As long as they have a few familiar faces, some recasts, and fresh new faceds, it is a chance to reenergize the shows! Toss me a couple Martins and Chandlers and a slew of newbies, im on board. Give me some Buchanan action and new families, im there.

If I were an actor, after I’ve played the same part for over ten years, I’d really look at moving on, because while it’s nice to have that steady paycheck, I’d grow stale as a performer. Unfortunately there is a stigma in the business of actors being in a soap, and yes, you can point all you want to those who have found success on the big screen (Susan Sarrandon, Christopher Reeve, Tommy Lee Jones, Demi Moore) for the most part, that time has come and gone.

I guess my biggest question is after the truly horrific writing on AMC its last few years on ABC, are there any stories really left to tell in Pine Valley? I can see OLTL, because there is some diversity and some rich casting, but who really cares about what happens to Erica Kane anymore?

To both Soaps: If you are going to go back and tell the same stale stories, don’t come back.

That’s why I think they should focus on OLTL before AMC….OLTL was at the top of it’s game, when it went off the air….there was really nothing to fix. AMC on the other hand, had so many problems from the horrific storytelling, that it’s going to take pulling several rabbits out of the hat to bring it back to the gold standard that we all once loved.

I hope alicia and Thorston will back together as Kendal and Zach they are fantastic together. I also hope Michael will come back too.

Yes, she is needed and hopefully they will work around her schedule.

This is great, I hope they get her also. They also need Bianca played by Eden Reigel. Zach for Kendall would be great also.

Alicia is an integral part of AMC, so I think it’s important that she be included in any re-boot of the show.

I’m still not holding my breath for any of this to happen though. Look what happened last time…what’s different now? Prospect Park had all kinds of actors, writers etc. lined up and it never went anywhere. They just tied up some actors so they couldn’t work on any other soap.

As much as I’d like to see AMC back, I don’t know if I would actually watch it on-line. I would love to see the show on a cable network and be a one-hour show again. I hate B&B’s 30-minute format…the stories move much too slowly.

(I didn’t include OLTL in my comments because I quit watching it the last year it was on.)

Again, what about OLTL ? Are the actors & actress”s being approached as well????? I want my OLTL!!!!!!!!! What’s up with this?????????? Don’t want to be dissappointed again! Any news on this yet? Hmmmmm!!!!!

I would hope that Sarah Michelle Gellar could come back as Kendall, or that there could be a recast. I was never that much of an Alicia Minshew fan at all. The character of Kendall became increasingly annoying, too.

I’m just happy AMC alumni are being contacted unlike last night.

Glad to see I’m not the only one who feels this way. Although Alicia has a huge fan following…..I was never a big fan of hers. I have always felt that Sarah Michelle Gellar was a much better Kendall. Besides, it doesn’t seem like Alicia is that interested in joining back anyway…..just the tone of that tweet didn’t feel right to me.

Alicia does have a huge fan following. But her acting is not on the standard that SMG’s is! And I think Alicia lost interest in the series after she had her daughter and after she had to relocate to LA.

We cant expect everyone back. Although I cant imagine how busy this one is?

This all smells extremely fishy. When all is said and done, I don’t think these soaps will ever see the light of day on the internet and even if they make it on, it will be very short-lived. I just don’t see any way that these shows can survive on online advertising alone to offset the costs involved and the almost certain steep decrease in viewers. IMO, Prospect Park is risking major embarrassment again to their reputation. Are we ever going to actually hear direct quotes from a Prospect Park executive about any of this?

I agree – I don’t see how these shows are going to survive without any revenue stream coming in because ultimately, they were too expensive to produce on ABC. I think they have probably received financing for a about 6 months to a year and they have to show that they can make money during that time – remember it not just to cover the cost of production, they have to show a profit or the potential for return on investment. It’s a huge gamble. If it doesn’t work the shows will be canceled and we will be in worst shape than when they ended on network TV. I would like to know what creative direction they are going with on both shows. I’ve moved on and will not be watching – these will not be the shows I remember.

I’m starting to think AMC will launch first and both soaps won’t launch together. OLTL might launch later maybe part of the problem is the GH factor with that show. I think its better for them to concentrate on launching one soap at a time anyways.

According to rumours, each series will run 5-6 weeks, alternating and sharing sets. And it seems like AMC is more likely to launch into those 5-6 runs.

Hey Soapers!!!! Dropping this hear: SUSAN HASKELL JOINS OLTL

Good News for OLTL!

What I think these two soaps should have the same format. Amc comes on first and OLTL follows after it. Like it alway’s has…

YES< YES

yes team slaters ( kendall & zack)
all day

Kendall is the “heart” of the show. Please come back to All My Children.

I would love to see her back, we have waited so long for the show to return, we want the complete cast back and Alicia is a very important character on the show

Absolutely bring Kendall back!

This week began and as reported with a spotlight article on Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos and how their production entity, Milojo, has been teeing up the All My Children reboot with Lifetime.

The L.A. Times featured the married couple, co-hosts of Live with Kelly and Mark, and former All My Children cast members (where they met and fell in love) about their plans to bring two All My Children movies to Lifetime and how they are working with the Agnes Nixon estate to make it come to fruition,

On Wednesday, it was revealed by Daytime Confidential, that All My Children reboot producer, Andrew Stearn handpicked none other than Ron Carlivati (ex-head writer, One Life to Live, General Hospital and Days of our Lives) and Jamey Giddens (who is the new co-head writer of The Young and the Restless, following his tenures on the writing teams of Beyond the Gates and Days of Our Lives), as the two scribes who will bring the first of two of Kelly and Mark’s All My Children movies to the page.

The second installment is said to be written by primetime writer Leo Richardson whose credits include: Star, Katy Keene and more recently the Penn Badgley (ex-Phillip Chancellor IV, The Young and the Restless) starring series, You.

Richardson also wrote for three years on the U.K.’s long-running soap, EastEnders. All My Children revival fans will recall Richardson’s name was attached as the writer for the first incarnation of the All My Children movies, entitled, Pine Valley.

Ron Carlivati took to X and confirmed he is indeed boarding the All My Children movie project. Carlivati shared, “So excited to share this news! Thanks to Andrew Stearn, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, Albert Bianchini and the Agnes Nixon estate for entrusting Jamey Giddens and me with the first of two planned All My Children movies for Lifetime! Stay tuned!”

Jamey Giddens confirmed DC’s announcement by taking to his account on X and expressing, “I’ve been booked and busy in 2026. Thanks to Andrew Stearn, the Agnes Nixon estate, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos for entrusting Ron Carlivati, and me with the first of two planned All My Children movies for Lifetime!”

Some fans seemed to question how Giddens could be writing for the first All My Children movie at Lifetime, when he is the new co-head writer at The Young and the Restless with Dan O’Connor. Jamey answered that head on via X and explained, “We turned in our All My Children script months ago. My sole focus as of this past Monday, is Genoa City, Wisconsin! #YR”

ERICA KANE, MARIA SANTOS AND HAYLEY AND MATEO SANTOS TO APPEAR IN THE ALL MY CHILDREN MOVIE REVIVAL?

In the planned stories, Susan Lucci’s Erica Kane and Eva LaRue’s Maria Santos will be two characters whose lives we will get to see for the first time since the series was canceled by ABC back in 2011 after 41 years on the air. As well, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos confirmed they will make brief appearances on-screen; one could assume as Hayley and Mateo Santos.

“It’d be wonderful to give the fans something that they’ve been yearning for so many years,” shared Mark Consuelos to the LA Times. “All My Children gave me my family. I met my wife there. It gave me my start in the business. It gave us so much. It would be a dream to be able to give back.”

So, what do you think of Ron Carlivati and Jamey Giddens getting nod to write the All My Children movie #1 script and Leo Richardson #2? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

‘All My Children’ Revival Updates: Lifetime EVP Speaks on Why Proposed Movies are Great Fit, Mark Consuelos Wants To ‘Give Back’ to Fans

The All My Children revival via movies at Lifetime is still in the works from former series stars and marrieds, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, through their production company, Milojo.

The co-hosts of Live with Kelly and Mark were featured this week in a Los Angeles Times article which detailed their efforts to bring some of the citizens of Pine Valley back to your screens.

As previously reported, and reaffirmed by the L.A. Times, the All My Children movies will be set in the present day and focus on what beloved characters such as Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) and Maria Santos Gray (Eva LaRue) are doing now. In addition, Kelly Ripa confirmed that she and Mark Consuelos will also appear on screen briefly most likely appearing in their signature soap roles as Hayley and Mateo Santos.

ALL MY CHILDREN MOVIES BRING NOSTALGIA THAT CAN BE MADE TO FEEL NEW AGAIN

Elaine Frontain Bryant, executive vice president and head of programming for A&E, Lifetime, and Lifetime Movie Network said of the All My Children reboot, “Lifetime is always interested in shows that kind of tap into a powerful nostalgia that can be made fresh for today’s audience. There’s a whole generation of women that have missed these stories and these characters.”

As for working with Kelly and Mark on the Lifetime movie versions of the soap, “They’re exactly the kind of partners you want at a brand,” expressed Bryant. “They’re trusted voices because every day they’re talking to their audience, which, a lot of times, is our audience. They bring a real credibility and have an authentic point of view. You meet Kelly and Mark and kind of what you see is what you get, and I think they bring that same authenticity to their development standards.”

Albert Bianchini, executive producer for Milojo, says he knows All My Children is so wildly popular with the fans of daytime. That was punctuated when seeing it in person, and how the energy was off the charts back in January of 2025 when Kelly participated along with Susan Lucci, former head writer, Lorraine Broderick and casting director, Judy Blye Wilson in a conversation with Andy Cohen at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.

“I’ve never seen a crowd like that in my life. People were lined up around the block, recalled the Bianchini.  “Everyone wanted to know, ‘When is (All My Children) coming back? We want more.’  We got to see that in real life and Kelly got to feel it in real life, and it made so much sense. I just know that the minute it gets out in the world, people will want more and more and more. There’s just a love there.”

Kelly Ripa added that they are, “working closely with Bob and Sarah Nixon, who are also serving as producers.” She recalled, “She (Agnes Nixon) was so far ahead of her time. She covered topics that weren’t being covered. It was extraordinary the audiences that the show drew, and she served them real stories that were affecting Americans across the country but weren’t necessarily being represented anywhere.”

“It’d be wonderful to give the fans something that they’ve been yearning for so many years,” shared Mark Consuelos. “All My Children gave me my family. I met my wife there. It gave me my start in the business. It gave us so much. It would be a dream to be able to give back.”

THE CANCELLATION AND STOPS AND STARTS OF ALL MY CHILDREN REBOOTS

All My Children aired on ABC from 1970 to 2011. It got a second chance at life when Prospect Park resurrected the show and brought it to The OnLine Network and Hulu for one season in 2013.

Recently, the series made a return through the estate of Agnes Nixon and is streaming internationally on BEONDTV and through their partnership with PlutoTV Canada with episodes starting in 1995. Fans hope original episodes will some day soon be available in the U.S. as well, but that could prove more difficult since ABC owns the rights to the episodes stateside.

Now 13 years later, while there is no word yet on a definitive production start date to the two movies at Lifetime, all the people involved seemed determined to make it come to life.

So, what do you think of the executive vice-president of Lifetime and LMN being enthusiastic about Kelly and Mark’s All My Children movie revivals? Are you wanting to see this come to fruition? Kelly and Mark seem to have made this a very high priority.  Do you hope that by 2027 we might be able to get this to the finish the line and into production? Weigh-in via the comment section.
