Alison Sweeney can add yet another project to her already bustling career! The former Days of our Lives favorite, is set to star in Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder,  a Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Original World Premiere in the spring of 2015!

Based on the New York Times bestselling book, Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke, the film will take viewers on a mouthwatering mystery that centers on Hannah Swensen (Sweeney), shop owner of the Cookie Jar where much of the town’s gossip percolates along with the strong coffee.  But when a mysterious murder occurs, Hannah turns into a culinary detective and finds herself trying to solve the crime while getting caught in an unexpected romantic mystery of her own.

“Our viewers will be taken on a captivating journey as we launch the newest mystery movie series,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “Alison Sweeney is the perfect actress to bring Joanne Fluke’s Hannah Swensen to life.”

Sweeney recently starred in Second Chances which was one of Hallmark’s highest-rated original movies. She is also is set to star and executive produce “Radio Hype” for the channel.

Happy for Alison. No, don’t miss her on Days. Need more shows like the Cookie Murders on TV. Hope she has many guest stars from Days and soaps in general. Maybe James Scott will even who up in an episode or two. Just don’t let him be the villain. Had enough of that on Days. Sami will always be a part of Salem. I just don’t miss her because the stories going on in Salem are good and fill in the gap left by EJami very nicely. EJami had run its course. So the change or a good one. But… Read more »

I love Alison Sweeney!!! I miss her on Days. She was my favorite character. Have watched her on there since her first day. I’m so glad to see her succeed in the industry. She is very smart and talented. I will watch and follow her in all she does. I’m so happy she is making TV movies on Hallmark. I just saw the commercials about the Cookie Shop Mysteries. Just watched Second Chances yesterday. It was fantastic! Looking forward to the other movies to come !!! You go girl!!
