Could you please find out how us Canadians will be able to view. Right now, Hulu is not available in Canada, so is our only option to purchase the shows thru itune, but even still, will they be available on itunes Canada.
Any information you can pass along is greatly appreciated !
They are supposed to be shown on PP’s The Online Network, You could try that….
Thanks, but unless they clear a distrubtion deal for Canada… I’m sure we will see the “not in the US border” blocks. We need a deal with a Canadian provider.
Check this article it may help! 🙂 http://www.howtogetitincanada.com/how-to-watch-hulu-in-canada/
Yes Michael…please tell us that there is a Canadian broadcast deal for these wonderful soaps here in Canada? Hulu is not available here in Canada for some asinine reason!
So excited to see OLTL coming back. May even tune in to see AMC as well. Still a little confused on how to watch the new episodes. I thought they were also going to be on Netflix, but maybe I dreamed that up.
I am hopeful that The Online Network does a promotional push for the re-boot of these two series and has a complete website up soon, explaining in detail how and where to watch the shows. I would also love to see a new message board to coincide with the series. I thoroughly enjoyed the message board that ABC had when the soaps were on TV.
That is great news for those that can watch. Since Hulu isn’t available up here in Canada, I will get a bit more excited when it’s announced how we here in Canada can watch it for free.
My question is when I click on hulu.com it goes automatically to one week free then 7.99 so y’all keep saying it’s free but I don’t see that. I don’t wont to miss when they start on April 29. So please tell us what we need to do because that’s what we are seeing when we go there. Thanks Susanna
I believe in second chances and will take a look. I just hope when the say groundbreaking they dont just mean r rated stuff like some fans feared otherwise most of them wont give it a chance. Im no prude and can pass a few things so ill wait and see b4 i get judgemental. Also i hope they mean they dont have network interference like ABC did with Ryans Hope where they ruined that show by tinkering with its format. Now these two soaps have established fan base to help get it off the ground and that should be PP no 1 priority by keeping these fans pleased. Its these fans who could help bring new fans to the show. You can be groundbreaking and different without over doing it. Im not against some things theyll try, im just saying you dont have to do certain things just because someone says you can.
I doubt itll be like this. One Naughty Life To Live. Viki is horrified to discover Clint is addicted to internet porn. Natalie, feeling lonely without John, has an affair with her own father Clint who is the only man dumb enough to have her. Viki turns into Niki Smith and gets a job at a topless bar called ‘Anything Goes’ were two of her alters hang out. Nora confesses to Bo she didnt really give birth to Rachel and Mathew because shes really a man. Bo tells Nora the only thing he ever noticed is that shes really not a red head. Cutter, needing cash, works alone on his live web sex show. Rama divorces Vimal after he is arrested for indecent exposure. She starts seeing Shaun and Vimal wants revenge. He replaces Shauns condoms with joke condoms that stick you together. Shaun and Rama get stuck together during sex and are rushed to the hospital where Dr. Larry Woleck works 4 hours to pry them apart. Blair finds Todd in bed with T’ea. Then Todd finds T’ea in bed with Blair. Soon they find three really is company. Victor later joins them. Dorian is going broke and turns Laboulaie into brothel Kinky Kramers. Destiny turns to prostitution to support her and the baby after deadbeat dad Mathew drops them for Dani who is involved in a sexting scandal at school while half brother Jack is having an affair with his math teacher. Dorian cuts off Davids manhood after he craps on her bed during sex with another woman. She keeps Vickers picker in a glass jar hoping to turn it into Vickers Picker Pickle Relish believing she can make millions and save herself from banckruptcy. Roxi announces Faternity Row is being revived via the internet as soft porn now called Faternity Ho’s. Moses(Roscoe Borne) arrives in Llanview with his ten commandments and condemns the naughty citizens to Hell for becoming so dirty minded. A giant sinkhole swallows up all these naughty citizens who now finds themselves trapped in what resembles the long lost underground city of Eterna surrounded be flames but is really Hell run by the Devil himself(Roscoe Borne in a dual role). I did not write this to offend. I just wonder if some people were worried it would turn out this way by some of their comments i read. I dont think PP is that stupid to tarnish the shows reputation or that of creator Agnes Nixon but at the same time i am concern just because they dont have big brother network watching they might push the envelope a little too far anyway but like i said ill wait and see because thats the only way you can be certain. I want the shows to succeed and they can make changes, but they still dont have to be like cable or too real to do it.
It shouldnt make a difference but after the part where i say ‘and save her from banckruptcy ‘ it shouldve included but Addie finds the jar and cooks its contents on the Kramer outdoor grill after mistaking it for Johnsville sausage. And none of this was meant to offend or be funny but i understand how some will think either way. My intentions was to get my point across.
So excited. Can’t wait to get back to Llanview and see what’s been going on with my secondary family. We have missed you.
awesome news!
Put me in a coma until April 29th cuz I won’t be able to sleep!
Wow! I never gave up hope……but I am still speechless that it is happening. OLTL was my favorite show since 1987

I want to know if we can watch it for FREE?
Awesome news for AMC & OLTL!! 🙂
I’m hoping it works out for everyone involved, including the cast & the writers who script the show. 🙂
Where can we watch if we live in Toronto,Canada that network is unavailable it is only available if you live in the USA
Please respond back thanks
Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How will the people in Canada be able to get ALM and OLTL?
AMC
Really ? Just wondering, do you live in Canada ?
Just wish Ron Carlivati was writing this…
OH HELL NO THAT IS WHAT SCREWED US UP THE LAST TIME LET HIM STAY ON GH AND RUIN THAT SHOW. (Which he will just watch)
And how do you know Thom wont eventually ruin OLTL?
I am SO excited and cannot wait until April 29th! I have been an All My Children FANatic for 30 years. I am so grateful to Prospect Park for bringing it back to life. Thanks so much and here’s to 30 more years!!
Excited !! I have Roku and Hulu Plus, so I will be watching the soaps via one click on my TV 🙂
…and the soaplovers from Europe? 🙁
So looking forward to this! I had watched those shows since my high school days in the 1970’s. I have missed them both!
Oh happy day, so glad everything was able to workout and am still a little shocked that we the fans were able to make our voices heard and actually have a company listen to us! All of us must turn in everyday to show ABC what a major F up they did by cancelling two proven shows by replacing them with crap that noboday watches or wanted!
AMEN ROBERT AMEN!
I have the same question that all the other Canadians are asking. What can we use to view online? We don’t want to be scrambling at the last second to put something in place. PLEASE resond to all of us. Thank you so much!!
There is a website floating around-howtogetitincanada.com that has tips and tricks on how to get Hulu in Canada. Happy reading…
coooooooool thx
The thing is, Firefox had a plugin that would mask your ip address to make it appear that you were within the US…. well, that doesn’t work anymore. I have used “proxy servers” before, and they too work for awhile, then get “found out” and are blocked….and with internet laws changing here in Canada, I for one am getting concerned about using “tricks” and “torrents” to circumvent these blocks.
I hope that Prospect Park will be able to offer us Canadian a way to view, free of charge. It could become very pricey if I have to purchase the shows from itune Canada everyday, but will itunes Canada even offer the shows?
Try PP’s The Online Network I heard they are supposed to be airing the shows too…Ya know Itunes is showing them too
Wow !
I truly hope that Prospect Park can be the first online network to be able to provide world wide viewership. From the comments posted, these two shows have fans all across the world. I am sure many others are so very tired of the ‘not within the proper country‘ messages when trying to view online video content. If this could be achieved I think it could reap great rewards for the first online network that does.
well said/
I know the article above says there are going to be 30 minute episodes but I could’t find any information anywhere how often the episodes will be on (Mon-Fri??)..anyone know?
I heard 5 days a week and they are supposed to be shown with very little to no commercials….
i read its 3 days a week for now.
‘can watch shows anytime, anywhere..’ that’s good cuz I don’t have any device to watch it on. need to find a cheap tablet for free wifi connection (any suggestions?), or pay for high speed at home…. either way it’s not going to be ‘free’ for me.
Well aren’t you paying for internet now?
not the kind you need to watch Hulu!
according to their site, for free Hulu you need: “broadband internet connection. We recommend a downstream bandwidth of at least 1.5 Mbps for a smooth playback experience.”
I’m still on dialup at $9.95. We’ve got faster internet at work, but we haven’t got the newest software/browser/flash versions because our main systems don’t work with anything but older stuff… but we have free wi-fi if you have a device you want to connect, so I’d have to buy something to watch on my lunch hour…. or spend a lot more than that to get hardware and hookup for high speed internet at home… all in order to watch something for “free”. I know that is a needed thing for most people, but it would be an expensive luxury for me. I even watch GH with digital tuner. Cut the cable bill in 2008!
some of us had salary cutbacks that took us back to 2006 wages, and no raises for 5 years… those things aren’t as important as a roof over your head.
I love the big Ol Middle Finger we as fans are able to give ABC. They thought that we are just stupid housewives that could do nothing against the Mighty ABC! Well ABC Here is a big Ol F.U. To you and your stupidity for cancelling these 2 iconic shows and for underestimating the power of a bunch of “Housewives” and PP!!!
WELCOME BACK ALL MY CHILDREN & ONE LIFE TO LIVE!
I can not watch them for free as hulu is only available in the States. I live in Scotland so it looks like I will have to pay for this through iTunes. I would prefer to watch for free!
ditto. i can afford free! 🙂
Lynn, maybe the episodes will be available on youtube?? like episodes are now. We can only hope!
so did you get to watch the soaps the same day they aired here, or were they behind ours?
The soaps were never available to watch over here in the UK. I grew up on these soaps and I watched them every day till I moved in 2001. I sure do miss them!! It would be great if they became available on youtube. I just hope they won’t be expensive on iTunes!
That’s sad Lynn, Maybe Christy is right and you can watch on utube. I already checked it out and I will be able to watch, Can’t wait.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos to Kick Off Season 36 of ‘Live’ with New Show Opening

The new season of morning talk shows begins this week, and one of them, Live with Kelly and Mark, is starting things off with a new show open starring the hosts and married couple, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, formerly of All My Children fame.
Make sure to circle Tuesday September 5th, when Kelly and Mark begin their first official season together as co-hosts of the long-running show now in its 36th season. As many know, Consuelos joined the show back in April of this year, after Ryan Seacrest made the decision to depart the series and move back to Los Angeles full-time, since the talker is shot in New York City.
In the concept of the new opening, the husband and wife duo are seen brushing their teeth in their apartment, then going through a couple of outfit changes/looks, before they settle on what they wearing as they are driven to their New York City studio where ‘Live’ emanates from, and arrive in its corridors.

In addition, this season will have a new trivia game segment called Stump Mark. In it, Mark will try his darnedest to keep the coveted Live mug away from trivia callers trying to stump him with their two statements — one true, one false.
Scheduled guests for the week: Derek Hough, Jake Gyllenhaal, Melissa Etheridge, Josh Gad, Shinedown, Phillip Phillips, Nikki and Brie Bella and more.
Take a look at the opening title sequence for Live with Kelly and Mark below, and then let us know what you thought of it in the comment section, and let us know if you are looking forward to the new season of the talk show.

Kelly Ripa Teases New Season of ‘Live’ with Husband Mark Consuelos: “Our Show Is Best When It’s Going Off the Rails”

Since Mark Consuelos joined his real-life wife, Kelly Ripa on the morning talk show Live with Kelly and Mark, the ratings have never been better. In fact, according to the Nielsen ratings, the former All My Children stars came in second behind The View for the 2022-2023 television season in total viewers averaging 2.293 million.
Now with the new season upon us come September, Ripa spoke with the Purist about what fans can expect now that Mark is coming into his own as her co-host.
Kelly shared, “We’re going to provide the same sort of humor and irreverence that people have come to know and love. Mark has taken the trivia game, where Ryan (Seacrest) and I would just give away coffee mugs to the audience, and decided that he’s not going to do that any more. There are no participation trophies in life, he says. If they want to win a mug, they’re going to have to stump me. I don’t really follow the ratings, but from what I’ve been told that since Mark has taken over, people stay with the show all the way through because they want to see whether or not Mark gets stumped.”

When asked what favorite segment on Live is her current favorite, Ripa expressed, “I love talking to the trivia callers. Our show is best when it’s going off the rails, when our audience gets to see the slip-ups. It is not this highly polished, Hollywood thing. It is two people meeting, having coffee, having just read the paper. We never cover actual news, we cover absurd news. When you factor in a person calling from their cellphone in the parking lot of a grocery store, what have you, it is rife with the ability to derail very quickly, and I think that’s what I love the best. I also love our viewer feedback at the very end of the show, where we take our viewers.”
So, are you looking forward to more Live with Kelly and Mark? Enjoying the duo on-screen together on the morning talker? What are your favorite staple segments from the show? Comment below.

Pamela Blair, ‘A Chorus Line’, ‘Loving’ and Daytime Emmy Nominee, Dead at 73

The Broadway community is mourning the passing of one of their most beloved members, who also appeared on several daytime soap operas throughout her career. Pamela Blair, the original Val in A Chorus Line, died at her home in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday following a lengthy illness. Blair was 73-years-old.
Throughout her career, the singer/dancer/actress continued to showcase her exceptional talents in shows such as: Promises, Promises, Wild and Wonderful, Sugar and Seesaw. She also gained major kudos from the musical theatre community for her portrayal of Amber in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
Pamela also had notable roles on soap operas taped in New York City. First, Blair played Elizabeth Shank Ryan on Ryan’s Hope in 1980. She followed that with her most-known daytime role as Loving’s Rita Mae Bristow, a part she played from 1983-1985.

Later in 1985, 1986 and in 1992, Blair made brief appearances in two roles on All My Children, Maida Andrews and Mrs. Goodman. It was the role of Maida Andrews that landed Blair a Daytime Emmy nomination in the newly named Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series back in 1987, only losing that year to John Wesley Shipp for his role of Martin Ellis on Santa Barbara. Blair’s last soap role was in 1994 as Another World’s Bonnie Broderick.
Throughout her enduring career, she appeared in numerous television and motion pictures including: Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, Law & Order and the motion pictures version of Annie.
