Will she move into the Quartermaine mansion? GH needs more Quartermaines!

Why, oh why? The cast needs to be trimmed: PETER, Kristina, Jordan, Hayden, & more.

No arguments on a trimming, but any day we welcome back a Quartermaine is a good day in my book.

Leon was pretty good in the role, but with good writing, Seton has the acting chops to knock it out of the park.

As far as Setton’s role on “Gossip Girl,” I agree she was very fine, but that was just a great show all the way around! Creative, fun and juicy…On the negative side, the last thing GH needs is another former “One Lifer” crashing the canvas! Additionally, I COULDN’T care less about the character of “Brook Lynn,” recast, or otherwise! (P.S. Incidentally, please note my capitalized proper portion of this oft-incorrectly stated phrase….it happens so frequently at this website that it makes me want to toss English language textbooks at all the offenders…of which there are many, though not necessarily you,… Read more »

This could be more airtime for my favorite Monica. I’ve always said whenever Monica is on, it’s always a good day.

Congratulations to Amanda Setton. She was wonderful as the devious, ever scheming Kimberly on One Life to Live. I’m sure she will do a great job on GH.

I never really cared for Stacey, but loved Kim esp when she was sassy to the gay couple (who, love them though I did, needed a comic foil to wrench them from their melodrama). Hopefully she brings that sass to Port Charles and mixes it with Quartermaine privilege… and yes, Tracey is reborn! 🙂

Rivalry between Ava and Brook Lynn over Nikolas? Lest I forget–Three women at each others’ throats at the Q mansion—-Monica and Olivia are as much as I can digest over the latter’s lasagne dish!! —superfluous–revolving door galore. When will Peter ( with the iffy new hair-do) Grow horns and poof-out of PC? What has happened to Maxie’s sharp sense of smelling a rat?—oh, wait; she fell for that other guy—the Australian weirdo, Zach. Lulu’s is irritating and Carly ( love Laura Wright) walks around with a halo hovering over her being, hesitating wether it should make a final descent on… Read more »

They dont know what to do with Olivia. One problem is Ned isnt on much. Maybe with Brook Lynn back that will change. I think the guy you were thinking about was Levi that Maxie hooked up with before. He super sucked! Hey, just like Peter! She has horrible taste in men!

Hi, T—long time, no see.
Yeah, you’re right about Olivia—-I guess that’s why the PTB had thought to make her run Charlie’s—-then, abruptly changed the route leading to Franco and Kim. I refuse to call Franco Drew—can’t stand this storyline. Round and round it goes.
Yes, Levi. Is Zach his real name? Why did I say Zach? Who knows.
Maxie is another strange bird these days—-I like Peter even less than Levi. She had found the right guy in Nathan, but he had to be killed off. Is he really dead? LOL.
Happy Thanksgiving, T….soon❤️God bless!!

Good to hear from you again. Olivia has money. Why cant she open a pizzeria somewhere else? I guess because of the budget they probably wouldnt build another set. They already have the Metro, Charlies, Kelly’s and Sonnys, whatever it is. You know whats weird about Franco, he has Drew’s memories but he talks like a soldier in boot camp! Just because he has new memories, he should still walk and talk like Franco! Nathan was good for Maxie but I guess they cut him from the show? Then they bring in an exact look a like in to play… Read more »

Oh Celia, it’s two months since your post and the show is still suffering from Peter-itis. Can’t bear the man! And don’t get me started on his succession of unflattering hair-morphs. I don’t like the BrookLynn recast either and can only hope she and Peter fall in like and their goodbye song can be the Eagles’ “ALREADY GONE”.

I actually cannot BELIEVE they have recasted With someone else…In two separate runs Adrianne Leon’s Emmy nominated portrayal of BLA was effervescent! Sweet, spunky, talented soul that always had a tear in her eye…I do not understand the need to recast her will always be a mystery…She is my Brook Lynn

Anne Heche Memoir ‘Call Me Anne’ to Be Released Posthumously

Following the tragic death of Daytime Emmy-winning actress, Anne Heche (ex-Vicky/Marley, Another World), now comes word that the follow-up to her 2001 memoir Call Me Crazy will be released in January of 2023 posthumously.

Independent publisher, Start, shared an excerpt of the upcoming memoir, Call Me Anne, this week with the AP and Publisher’s Weekly.  The book’s publisher, Jarred Weisfeld, signed a deal with Heche back in May, and shared that she had turned it into a manuscript shortly before she died.

In a statement, Weisfield shared, “Anne was an inspiration to the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. This book deserves to be read by all of her fans. We are grateful to have the opportunity to share her message with the world. While we are very sad that Anne isn’t here to see the book be published we know it’s what she would have wanted.”

During her podcast “Better Together” with co-host Heather Duffy, Heche had mentioned she was writing a sequel to her original memoir, and that ‘some of the truths’ about her relationship with Ellen DeGeneres would be revealed.

Ellen and Anne’s relationship in Hollywood in the late 90’s, ultimately led to her being blacklisted in Hollywood due to the twosome being one of the first openly gay couples in Tinseltown.  In an excerpt from Call Me Anne, Heche shares, “I was labeled ‘outrageous’ because I fell in love with a woman. I had never been with a woman before I dated Ellen.”

Courtesy/StartPublishing

In a epilogue to the book, Heather Duffy expressed that Anne’s, “wish was that this book could help others get to the other side of pain and learn about her philosophy, which allowed her to remain in a life where she woke up each day looking for opportunities to find joy and spread kindness. So, in some ways, knowing her the way I do and knowing that spreading her message of kindness is what mattered to her most, she would be content that the last thing she worked on was this book.”

Anne passed away on August 14th at the age of 53, after being taken off life-support from injuries sustained from her fiery car crash into a home that eventually took her life.

What do you think about Anne’s second memoir coming in 2023? Will you be intrigued to see what she had to share? Let us know in the comment section.

In case you missed it, Heche discusses with Michael Fairman in a virtual interview two years ago, about her time with DeGeneres and how it impacted her getting work in Hollywood and more.  You can watch it below.

PRIMETIME EMMYS: Soap Alums Murray Bartlett and Amanda Seyfried Take Home Acting Honors

The 74th annual Primetime Emmys were handed out Monday night during a three-hour telecast on NBC and streaming on Peacock.

When the dust settled two former daytime stars, who have gone found much success in television and film, took home the gold in their respective categories.

Murray Bartlett (ex-Cyrus, Guiding Light) won the Emmy for his role as Armond in The White Lotus in the Best Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

In his acceptance speech, Murray expressed many thanks: “To my P-Town family, I love you, to my partner Matt, thank you for being my sanctuary .. and finally I want to thank my mom all the way home in Australia for giving me the most wonderful foundation of unconditional love and inspiring me to believe that we can all do that for each other.”

Later in the evening, Amanda Seyfried (ex-Lucy, ATWT and ex-Joni , AMC) won the Best Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her performance in The Dropout.  In the Hulu limited series, which is based on the ABC News podcast of the same name, Seyfried portrays disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes.

In a major moment during the ceremony, Sheryl Lee Ralph won her first Emmy ever for her role in Abbott Elementary in the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category.

Ralph became only the second black actress to win in the supporting actress category in 35 years – the first being none other than Days of our Lives’ Jackée Harry (Paulina) who won for her performance in 1987 for 227.

After Sheryl sang when she hit the stage to accept the award, she clarified what she was singing about adding: “I’ve been singing that song for years because I think of myself as an artist as a woman, especially as a woman of color … I’m an endangered species. I don’t sing any victim song. I’m a woman. I’m an artist, and I know where my voice belongs. And there’s so many young actors, artists, even kids that think they know what they’re going to do in life, find your voice and put it where it belongs.”

In an historic Emmy-win, The Squid Game’s Lee Jung-jae became the first actor in a non-English series to win iLead Actor in a Drama Series category for his work in Netflix’s South Korean smash hit.

Other Emmy highlights included a moving and emotional speech from Lizzo after Amazon’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls won the Emmy for Best Competition Program.

Lizzo shared: “I’m very emotional. The trophy is nice, but my emotion is for these people who are on the stage with me. The stories that they shared, they’re not that unique. They just don’t get the platform. Telling stories, let’s just tell more stories. When I was a little girl, all I wanted to see was me in the media, someone fat like me, Black like me, beautiful like me.  If I could go back and tell little Lizzo something, I’d be like, ‘You’re going to see that person, but Bitch, it’s gonna have to be you.’”

In the top show categories: Succession won Drama Series, Ted Lasso, Comedy Series and The White Lotus, Outstanding Limited Series. You can check out the full winners circle in all categories here.

Now, let us know, who you were most excited seeing take home the gold statuette during the 74th Primetime Emmys via the comment section. But first check out, Murray, Amanda, Sheryl Lee and Lizzo’s winning moments below.

Eva LaRue’s Stalker Sentenced to 40 Months in Prison

In a harrowing situation spanning 12 years, a man who threatened former All My Children, Santa Barbara, and Y&R favorite, Eva LaRue (ex-Maria, ex- Margot, ex-Celeste) and her daughter, Kaya was sentenced to 40 months in prison.

James David Rogers, 58, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge John A. Kronstadt for over a decade of threatening letters and phone calls about torture, rape and death to LaRue and her daughter.

Rogers had pleaded guilty in April to two counts of mailing threatening communications, one count of threats by interstate communications and two counts of stalking.  According to court documents, all of this began in March 2007 until Rogers eventually was arrested in November 2019.  At the beginning of his stalking spree, LaRue’s daughter, Kaya was only five-years-old.

According to Deadline, Eva gave a “tearful victim impact statement, telling the judge in L.A. federal court that she has undergone therapy since the harassment began in order to deal with feelings of fear and paranoia.”  She added, “We didn’t know if he would show up on our doorstep. We will think about him for a lifetime. The fear is with me forever.”

The judge has ordered Rogers to self surrender on October 12th to begin his sentence at a federal prison in Ohio.

Eva won a Daytime Emmy back in 2020 for her guest star turn on The Young and the Restless, and is best-known to primetime viewers for her role in CSI: Miami.
