Angell Conwell Makes A Return To The Young and the Restless!

Leslie Michaelson looks to be needed again for her legal expertise in Genoa City! Word today out of Soap Opera Digest is that actress Angell Conwell (Leslie) is on her way back on-screen on The Young and the Restless.

The actress told SOD: “I’m actually very fortunate to be the kind of character who may be kind of forgotten, but then out of the blue, she shows up again. So, it’s a good feeling to know that there’s still love there for Leslie.”

Conwell’s Leslie was brought on to the canvas of the CBS Daytime drama in 2010, but her character sort of got back-burnered after her relationship with Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) hit the skidsm and she then married Dr. Barton Shelby (Terrell Tilford).

Is Leslie about to find that her new case involves defending her former flame Neil Winters, who while drunk grabbed the steering wheel from Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that caused the car accident that hit Christine (Lauralee Bell) and made her lose her baby? Share your thoughts below!

That would be a great sl……really over that WHO “killed”Austin, nonsense. Also “whackadoddle”Kelly.

Agreed, vinman. I really liked Leslie, and I thought she and Neil were great together. What happened? They split so fast and I’m still not sure I understand why? Some stupid excuse, as usual….probably to introduce Hilstefer.
Furthermore, does anyone care to discover who killed Austin? He’s gone….good enough for me, albeit I would not be surprised if Victor had a hand in it, once he found out, he was up to no good against the Newmans……which makes me think that the Abbotts may have a hand in it also.
Kay-Kray-Kelly? On her way out, I’m sure.

Time for the best couple to get back together Sharon and Adam 🙂

I agree Ella Brown, I thought that Adam and Sharon were happiest when they were together;…once they bared their heart and soul to each other.

I still say Drucilla needs to come back! I dont like anything right now . The story about Austins killing is so boring. I hate Adam doesnt have Sharon on his mind because he loved her so much. Adam is acting so dumb. Adam used to care about getting Victor back . I thought Adam was a man I guess not anymore. This stuff about Sharon now being Austins killer is absolutely ludicrous. I think Sharon had more important things on her mind then Austin and she was with her daughter all night when he was killed. Time this show STOPS blaming Sharon for everything please!

I never liked her, eeesh
Perhaps Pratt can fix her and I’ll like her this time around.. 🙂

Maybe Pratt will have Leslie come back as a space alien. Or maybe she’ll launch this evil plot to freeze Genoa City. There are plenty of old and dumb GH stories to draw from that might make you like her this time around.

Su0000…Unfortunately VictoriaRowell has been doing her just out of prison CookieLyon routine for way toooooo long for CBS to bother…sad thing is Neil is stuck with the ghost of Drucilla for all duration of this show and NO ACTRESS can come in and replace that rant loving…paint myself into a corner and eat the brush actress.

LOL…nope i’m not moving…uhh actually paint dries Ms.Rowell…NOT P&G PAINT…eyes buggin all out her dang head….

Isn’t Leslie an A.D.A.?

Leslie was a n ADA. Se left and first became leal counsel for Jabot…..then became a partner to Avery.

and if my G and H keys worked without me pounding them …….se…..would be she…….leal would be legal…..LOL

That’s right!
I forgot about that and am happy that she is coming back, hopefully to stay.
I really enjoy her work and couldn’t figure out why they dumped her in the first place.

YES!!!! Leslie!!!!

I loved her, and I hope they at least address why the hell she married Barton in the first place. It made no sense and it was dropped.

I totally agree!

I would rather have Gloria (Judith Chapman) back for a visit. Michael could really use his family around him.

Love Gloria. She makes me laugh 🙂

Good point, Chrystie.

Its insane she is not here for him.

we need Gloria

I AGREE WITH YOU… but I am also very disappointed in the lack of real story telling Michael has been given …. you would think this story has more to it than they are giving it….

kinda confused…

I agree. The only fear they have Michael dealing with is loss of being able to satisfy his wife sexually. What about all the other side effects and possible outcomes? Why can’t we see Michael in the hospital like we did with Lily and her cancer treatments?

No, we get this stupid I Know What You Did Last Valentine’s Day, Summer, story.

One of the worst things that every happened to the show story wise (since Phelps came on board) was when they burned down Gloworm in favor of On the Boulevard, which no longer exists either.

Judith Chapman can act CIRCLES around any of the “teen” set and she always provides comic relief, yet she can be tender with her boys when they need her.

That sounds like a reasonable premise– Christine cannot do the case because she is the victim and when we last heard of Leslie she was joining the DA office, so it makes sense she will be one to prosecute Neil’s case. Leslie was never my favorite character but I must admit I’ve missed her. Avery could use a female friend again and the Winter’s circle needs to expand, so I hope the character, her husband and brother all come back to the show.

They can do without the brother. But, the actor who plays her husband, Terrell Tilford, did a terrific job in a major storyline on OLTL. If they give him something meaningful to do, he definitely has the skill to deliver.

Leslie/Sophia/Hilary might as well pop up as a CGI three headed character on this show and maybe then…Neil will have another soul mate.

LOL I get what you mean, poor Neil never found a woman close to being the whole deal like Dru– and most likely never will.

Michael’s post says Leslie’s case is to defend Neil, not prosecute him. See above. I believe this is conjecture, so who knows what the actual story is.

You’re right Michael’s post did say defend, my bad. But I do remember she left her law firm with Avery to go join the DA office, so unless the show changed that since we last heard of her, if she comes back she should prosecuting Neil, not defending him. Yet, like you said it all conjecture at this point what the story will be.

I’d surely rather have Leslie on board than Christine, any day, any time!

I miss Leslie. I was bummed when they gave her the boot for Hilary. Leslie’s so much more exciting! Plus Devon didn’t taint her like he did Hilary and Neil’s other girlfriend…

Ashleigh…y-e-s. At this point, give me Leslie over that one-dimensional WHACK-JOB Hilary ANY DAY!!!!! A-n-d…Leslie is W-A-Y TOO SMART to let herself get stupidly mixed up with that clueless, drooling, lovesick and PUNK-ASS F-O-O-L Devon…O-K-A-Y?!?!?

Y&R is so cast heavy that I forgot she was even gone. Returning to defend Neil is a good way to bring her back.

yesss!!!
love leslie and missed angell!!
she was a fierce attorney and neil needs her in more ways than one!! hopefully they find their way back to eachother , she was neil s best love since dru , imo
hopefully her hot bro tyler s not far behind her! lily or abby could really use him since both characters love lifes are messy!

Hey, damien…LOL. Women do not sit around waiting for the next guy to fix, mend, or make their lives more exciting. Not only is that chauvinistic and insulting, but so 1950’s.
Perhaps I speak for myself, albeit I am happily married. However, we women are strong…stronger than some men….we do not need cradling.
The worst thing a woman can do is to get out of one relationship and jump into another.

He must be getting real women mixed up with Brooke Logan – someone who cannot live without a man. 🙂

I agree. THIS real woman here does not wait for a man to fix her life. She dated a lot of wrong men, but when the right one came along, she knew it. Then she worked in concert with said man to raise a happy family with children who could think on their own and learn to solve their own problems. The husband is her rock and there when she needs a shoulder but she definitely does not need her hand held or to be coddled!

Abby is a petulant child (and now adulteress) who needs to grow up and learn how to keep her mouth shut. She has a lot of potential with a strong man like Harding, but since the actor is on State of Affairs, it isn’t going to happen.

Saint Lily is a strong woman, but throws stones from her glass house. She is better than that, but not being portrayed as such currently. She is boring with Cane. She needs the fire she had with Daniel. There would be potential with Tyler, but that is what we call a “train wreck” since she is supposed to be married.

Neil is just being written stupidly these days. He is a stronger man than the material. At least the physical blindness is over. That dragged on far too long and made him look pathetic. But having him rush into a marriage with Hilary because Leslie got hitched was foolish. He should have risen from the ashes of his failed marriage like a phoenix instead of wallowing at the bottom of a vodka bottle. Now he has really hit rock bottom and killed an unborn child. Did they really need to have him go so low? The problem is I do not think they will have him learn from this. How many times has Nikki gone to some posh treatment center or stopped cold turkey only to commit some crime? The last time she killed Diane Jenkins (even if it wasn’t the final blow). Or what about when she almost dropped her infant granddaughter because she was drunk? I mean, really? Killing someone isn’t enough to stop drinking than what is? Put them both in jail already. A little jail time would do wonders.

I agree they need to make better use of Leslie’s return by at least explaining why she eloped like she did or just forget the whole thing.

I think the shows need to do a little announcement on the show when a couple is not working and just say “well so and so is not a hit with the viewers so we are dropping them as a couple” instead of leaving loose ends like with Leslie and Neil.

Doesnt land on my radar. What about bringing back William Russ as Tucker McCall. He was great! Put him in a triangle with Jill and Colin. Maybe then those two will become interesting?

Really makes no diff to me if she returns or not. But it would be interesting to see what Leslie has to say about the mess Neil has made of his life and his failed marriage since he was flaunting that to her.

I am happy to see she is back…. I did not at all relate to her just up and marrying some guy we never even met… that was so out of character for her…. I always thought there was some BIG storyline waiting to happen but nothing ever came of it…

As far as Hilary, I much prefer her with Neil vs. Devon…that character is just so dull!!!! I fail to see any spark with that guy!

I wish that Young And The Restless would stop bringing in more characters that will just fade into the background. There is enough talent on this show to keep storylines popping instead of bringing in new or returning characters. End the Austin storyline. It’s useless and he wasn’t on the show long enough for any one to care about who killed him. Summer is best forgotten too. Why can’t they do with Summer what they did with Leslie. Send her away and let us forget her for awhile. If she comes back she can come back as a better actress.

Totally agree. God, who gives a hoot
about stupid Austin…and I am beyond
bored with and annoyed by Summer
at this point.

Glad that Leslie is coming back, though.
She was never too exciting of a character
but I liked her in ways.

can somebody tell me what happened to my baby Terell Tilford? i havent watched the show in awhile but before that I dont remember him being on except once! he is so cute!

I agree ; the writers didn’t explain why Leslie and Tyler left. She needs to return.
