Whenever Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter) is on The Bold and the Beautiful it certainly makes for intense drama and soapy antics and fun.  The recent return of Ms. Carter has already caused a major rift in newlyweds: Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) marriage.

As viewers have witnessed, Sheila was revealed to be Finn’s biological mother as she stepped out of the shadows to meet her son for the first time (following his nuptials to Steffy!) since she gave him up for ‘adoption’ years ago.  But as we have further learned, Jack (Ted King) is also Finn’s biological father, not his adoptive dad, and that secret is still looming giving Sheila blackmail leverage against him to help her get closer to her grandson, Hayes, and to Finn.

However, Steffy is not having any of it, and has already slapped Sheila on two occasions and put her foot down, bringing up all the horrors Sheila perpetrated on her family including shooting her mother, Taylor and her grandmother, Stephanie.

Now, The Bold and the Beautiful’s executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell, opened up on his decision to resurrect the feud of Sheila vs the Forresters, but namely this time with Stephanie’s namesake, Steffy, in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now.

Bell shared: “Yes, history has a way of repeating itself. Having Sheila be Finn’s biological mother brings her back to the show in a very central and core position, as for Steffy, who everything was going so beautifully for with her and Dr. Finn, when it seems to be too good to be true in soap operas, generally, it is.”

Brad also added his delight in having Kimberlin Brown vs Jacqueline MacInnes Wood battling it out in key scenes:  “It’s good to have Kimberlin back. She always brings a little punch and pizzazz, and to pit her against Jacqui in this whole new way is going to bring some great story in their direction.”

So, are you glad Brad brought back Sheila to the canvas of B&B? Share your thoughts in the comment section.  But first check out this week’s promo for the show below.

It’s not the ‘bringing on Kimberlin Brown’ that worries me. Of course she’s a fantastic actress. It’s how they plan to write her out and the destruction she’ll leave in her wake that bothers me.

Take Shelia Off we don’t want to go back in the past move on with the times Brad Bell people are trying to better there lives why aren’t you drama know one want that covid19 is enough stress,

So TRUE anytime SHEILA CHARACTER is back is the same OLD storyline,I’m tired with it. Kill her on BOTH Y&R and on B&B.

Not Going To Happen Sheila Never Dies

Come on! Sheila is bringing new life to the show that’s been a bit boring. Now we need Taylor to join in protecting HER grandson

The years when Sheila was on the show were always the most entertaining. I only wish she could be redeemed so that we can enjoy her for years to come.

Joel,
There is no redemption for Sheila. First of all no one would believe it, and we would always be waiting for the other shoe to drop and whom would she be dropping it on? Do you think those two slaps Steffy gave her will be forgotten or forgiven? I’d love a story line where another villainous as evil went after her, giving her a taste of her own venum.

We suppose to look forward and not looking back in the pass. We all have our opinions, but come on , bringing Sheila back just kills the show.

They’ve run out of ideas

Bill Bell has no idea how to write story. He is fixated on incestuous triangles and non-sensual plotting.

I am so glad Sheila is back. I was tired of the lovey dove scenes.

I like a little drama. It keeps me on the edge of my seat.

As a mother, it is hard for me to deny Sheila the right to see her grandson.

There were two men in the room. What could she had done to baby Hayes?

Can’t wait to see the next story line.

That is ridiculous. Sheila shot 3 people!

Hare Sheila. Try not to watch while she is on.

I don’t like Sheila. She needs to go.

Yes I’m glad kimberlin is back. The show was getting to o repetitive and too mushy and whinny. Kimberlin is a very talented actress gotta love even if it’s wrong in what she might be doing. This could also play into mental health issues, remission and letting that bad side surface. There is obviously a mix of MH issues with her character and appears genuine in trying to over come her wrongs and too many slaps could set her back again. Can’t help but feel sorry for her. We also have to find out how her and Jack met. If she was in prison was it then? So many ways to play this story line out.

Brad Bell doesn’t know what he’s doing, he isn’t anything like his mom and dad and I don’t know why it understand they keep rehashing old characters and storylines and the same ole, same ole crap but The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless have really scraped the bottom of the barrel the last several months bringing Sally onto The Young and the Restless where she’s causing more chaos a d grief than she ever did on The Bold and the Beautiful and bringing Ashland and Tara on The Young and the Restless and causing chaos and drama with Kyle and Summer was uncalled for and Victoria and Ashland are a joke but hrs just like her dad so I hope that she gets more than she bargained for I wish Billy and Lilly would stay together move on but Billy needs to put Victoria behind him anyway, Victor isn’t going to allow or stand for her reconciling with Billy and besides it won’t work out and they won’t stay together and enough is enough with these couples getting back together and breaking up then getting back together and I don’t see how they can keep going if they don’t come up with some better characters and storylines and bring some new couples on and make the soaps more interesting and try to be better with the characters and storylines!

Sheila’s one driving obsession was that she lost a child and fixated on Scott because she could not have children!!

So, when did she have these FIVE children when she was rarely off screen!???

She supposedly had some Mary with James Warwick, Daisy and Ryder with Terrible Tom, she supposedly had a child with 80 year old Massimo Marone, and now has this kid!!!

5 kids for a woman who is always fixated on Scott who is not even her kid!

And can we get the story on Y and R on what happened to Sheila??

I love Sheila Steffy’s definitely met her match!

I am estactic that Sheila is back! She is the BEST villain!

So happy to

Anytime this show does anything that is not HOPE/LIAM driven, I am watching. Every time you turn around, its Hope this, Liam that ad nauseum. I welcome any change of story, even though it’s short lived. By Christmas, we will be back to Hope this….Liam that. Bill Bell is distracting us right now with Sheila.

Classic soap opera storyline. Thanks Brad for bringing Sheila back! Agree that her scenes are electric because you never know her next move! B&B should gain in ratings!

I stopped watching, as did a lot of my friends. Stir Wyatt’s life up, somebody else Get Donna back with Eric. I know he thinks from the conversation he heard. Seriously it’s Quinn. Get her off the show!PLEASE SHE IS JUST EVIL. LET STEFFY BE HAPPY AFTER THE HOPE/LIAM/STEFFY TRIANGLE. THERE IS ZENDE, PARIS (SHE ALWAYS WANTS WHAT SHE CAN’T HAVE. SHE’S DOING STEFFY WRONG. IF FINN PICKS SHEILA, I THINK YOU’LL BE SURPRISED HOW MANY FANS YOU HAVE THAT WILL STOP WATCHING.

Brad, it’s great you brought Kimberlin Brown back as Sheila Carter. It makes things more complicated and very interesting. And it keeps the ratings going higher and it makes the show more and more inviting for people to watch. She is a fan favorite ❤ Shaun from California

I am Happy Kimberlin Brown is Back as Sheila Carter She Make the More Interesting Every Soap needs Villains.

Sheila is such an old story. Sorry she is back; would rather see ‘new’ plots.

wheres mary warwick? will we ever see her again? and I wish yall would give an explanation about how sheila is still alive after being shot by lauren on Y&R

I am not happy that Shelia Carter is back on the scene. When she is on there someone always getting hurt, or kicked off the show. This thing with Quinn and Eric, it’s the craziest thing I ever heard of. Who gives their spouse permission to sleep with someone else. Please get it together! These soaps are about to be boring. If you miss one day you don’t have to worry because you having missed a thing.

Get rid of her or make her nice, she’s a good actress but if she is going to be the same old wicked witch you’ve lost a veiwer. Bring Donna and Eric back together too

B&B needs to let BRAD BELL go. His scripts suck. The show is running on a prayer. Needs a new and better writer to bring the show to life again. Show has been soooo boring same people same scripts day after day! Give us a break for Pete’s sake.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
