THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Steffy’s Not Having Any of Sheila

Photo: JPI

Friday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful saw Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) step up to the plate and not buy whatever Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) was selling, and is horrified what her new hubby, Finn (Tanner Novlan) and his father, Jack (Ted King) pulled behind her back.

Therefore, Steffy put them all on blast and with that came another powerful performance by two-time Daytime Emmy winner, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood.

In story, Steffy decided not to take her business trip.  So, she comes home to find Sheila holding baby Hayes and begins to freak out, and wouldn’t you?  After all, this is evil Sheila we are talking about who has kidnapped babies before!

Jack tries to explain their way out of it, that Sheila promised to see Finn and her grandson Hayes and hold him, and then she would leave town. Throughout all of the scenes, Finn looked like he realized his marriage could have just hit the rocks before it even got started.

Steffy cannot believe that no one is not seeing through Sheila’s epic manipulations.  She wisely points out that, why did Sheila come out of nowhere when he wed a Forrester to finally reveal herself to him as his bio-mom?  Sheila tries to make Steffy understand mother-to-mother why she wanted to see her son and hold her grandson, and Steffy is becoming more unglued, rightly pointing out what Sheila did to her mother and grandmother … she shot them both! Sheila says Steffy has a narrow perspective of how her grandmother treated her.

Next, Steffy just can’t listen to this anymore, or have Sheila in their home and near their child one more second.  Steffy then lays into Sheila, and says she hopes her son doesn’t have Sheila’s “sickness” and tells her she’s getting a restraining order against her and she will never see Finn and Hayes ,or come near her family.

Sheila thinks it’s very cruel of Steffy to threaten her with time in the slammer for wanting to see her son.  Steffy orders Sheila to leave and Jack as well, since he is the one that set this in motion.  Steffy tells Sheila she’s a monster with no feelings!  Since Sheila won’t start to exit, Steffy walks over to her and bitch-slaps her yelling: “Don’t you ever try to take someone I love away from me. Get out!!”

Jack drags Sheila out and Steffy glares and Finn! Ruh-roh!

So, what did you think of the performances of Jacqueline MacInnes Wood and Kimberlin Brown in the major confrontation scenes? What will Sheila do next? What will happen to Finn and Steffy? Share your thoughts in the comment section. But first, check out the final moments of Friday’s Steffy vs. Sheila below!

I’m so excited to see where this is going to go but I still want Lauren on Y&R to find out Sheila is alive. There could be miles of story left to tell with Sheila and that couldn’t make me happier!!!

I agree Shelia looks damn good in my opinion

YES! Let Steffy call Lauren and Lauren hightails it to LA and spill all of Sheila’s dirty deeds to Finn. Lets play out all the beats of Sheila\Lauren but this time around let Lauren turn the tables on Sheila and KICK HER ASS! Or Sheila is so pissed at Lauren for exposing the true Sheila that Finn cuts Sheila out of his life and his son so Sheila goes back to Genoa City to stalk Lauren and let Lauren truly finish off Sheila. Lauren knows Sheila is in GC but nobody else does Lauren finally KILLS Sheila (for real this time) and Lauren stands trial for murder…yummy!

I recently turned from Days of Our Lives (to over the top and concentration on one family) to Bold and I am loving this show! The acting and the reveal with Sheila is what I love about the genre. It keeps getting better by the day, the young lady that plays Steffy is so good and I look forward to seeing this playout.

Sheila gets slap #2 from Steffy, and knowing Sheila, she will pay for that, one way or another.

well played by all

BB is right now the best soap on TV. It’s truly soapy. I know YR & BB is everybody’s punching bag of hate but it’s still a fact CBS has been standing by their daytime dramas. You see commercials for both soaps, I rarely see any for the other soaps because ABC & NBC doesn’t give the support to their daytime programming. CBS still has a true mixture of daytime programming.

Odd as it sounds, I’m starting to feel bad for Sheila getting whacked by Steffy. That said, JMW needs to hone her slapping skills….each one has looked fairly off the mark.

Is anyone sick and tired of seeing Sheila gracing our screens again?

Does Sheila still have her waitressing job? 😉

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Brook Lynn and Chase Have Their Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties

On General Hospital, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) both were treated to Bachelorette and Bachelor parties to shake off any of those pre-wedding jitters. At The Savoy, the ladies have a touching and fun time with Brook Lynn.

The bride-to-be gives a speech to thank everyone for coming, while Lois lets everyone know to try the signature cocktail the “Brooklynn Chaser”, which gets everybody eventually and mostly, drunk.

When Tracy (Jane Elliot) questions Lois (Rena Sofer) as to why there is no music for the party, Lois realizes she forgot, and somehow, who does she call to the rescue? Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)! Saving the day, he winds up playing some tunes and later gets on the dance floor to ‘shake it off’ with the gals.

Lois makes a speech as the mother of the bride, and shares how proud she is of the woman Brook Lynn has become. Wedding games begin, including one of “hot potato” with a wedding bouquet.

When it’s time for the “Silly Poses” section of the party, Spinelli has now morphed from DJ to staff photographer taking memorable photos of the ladies to remember the evening by.

Photo: ABC

The best part of the event, was when Brook Lynn tries to get her grandmother Tracy out on the dance floor, which, at first, she refuses. After several of the guests bust a move, a tipsy Tracy joins the dance party after Joss mentions that if her grandmother Bobbie was here, she would dance. Tracy says “she agrees” and begins to cut a rug on the floor, much to the delight of the other women.

In the final moments, a tipsy Joss and Kristina (Kate Mansi) have a confrontation about Sonny, and Joss lets Kristina in more on Sonny’s behavior, which looks to have clued in Kristina a bit more as to how something is way off about her dad.

Across town at the Hatchett Bar, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and the men with the exception of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), all attend Chase’s Bachelor Party where throwing hatchets into a dart board for supremacy is the order of the day. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Ned (Wally Kurth) get into some words over ELQ, while Dante makes a toast to his police partner, Chase.

Photo: ABC

Suddenly Dex (Evan Hofer) shows up. Chase thanks Dex for coming, but Dex gets some dirty looks from other cops on the force. Dante gives Chase his present, which is a signed baseball by the Boston Red Sox.

Ned (Wally Kurth) makes a speech that although no one is good enough for his daughter, Brook Lynn, Chase has come closer than anyone has, so welcome to the family. Running in at the end is Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), who just left Brook Lynn’s party, and she toasts her singing partner, Chase, and to the great man that he is.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Nina Confronts Ava for Sabotaging Her Relationship With Sonny and Signs the Divorce Papers

Looks like Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Ava (Maura West) are back to be each other’s sworn enemy number one. By the end of the Monday, April 22nd episode of General Hospital, the women know where they stand with each other after Nina goes in on Ava accusing her of wanting Sonny (Maurice Benard) all to herself, while her marriage has been on the rocks.

In story, at Nina’s office, Ava shows up to see Nina and says she is sorry about what happened with Sonny and that he reacted the way he did, acknowledging that is was over the top, even for Sonny. Ava says she’ll smooth things over, but Nina says she now understands how manipulative and transparent Ava really is.

Given their horrible history, Nina goes in on Ava and how she should never have trusted her. Nina wants to know how long has Ava had this agenda dating all the way back to telling Nina to turn Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) into the SEC. Ava says she never told her do to that, but Nina wants to know how long Ava has been playing her for a fool.

Ava says she moved in with Sonny to keep Avery safe and she wants to be on good terms with Avery’s father, Sonny. Nina thinks she likes being in Sonny’s inner circle. Ava tells Nina if she goes to him about her advising Nina to call the SEC on Carly and Drew, it won’t work.  Sonny still considers Nina a traitor and he will think she’s lying because she’s so desperate to win him back. Ava says if Nina would stop blaming everyone else that maybe Sonny would respect her.  Nina says “like he does you?” Ava says Sonny not only respects her, but he also counts on her.

From there, Ava launches into why she and Sonny understand each other, after all, Sonny is a powerful, turbulent, and sometimes violent man. She goes so far to say if Nina wanted someone to just sit by the fire with and play with their grandchildren, she’s got the wrong guy.  Ava then talks about Mike from Nixon Falls (Sonny with amnesia) and how Sonny hid the darkest parts of himself from Nina back then, whereas with Ava they are the same similar creatures, so he doesn’t have to hide anything.

Nina wants to know just what Ava wants with Sonny? What is her end game? Ava responds that they understand each other, in ways she can’t with Sonny. Nina tells Ava she can go ahead and have it all and signs Sonny’s divorce papers. Ava walks out with the documents, while Nina in tears at her desk, takes off her wedding rings and has her assistant come in so she can messenger the rings back to Sonny’s address.

The episode and these scenes featured great performances by Cynthia Watros and Maura West. You can check some of the scenes below.

Now, let us know, what is Ava’s next move? Is she going to become Mrs. Sonny Corinthos? Do you like Ava and Nina as enemies? Comment below.

AEW Dynasty: Swerve Strickland Becomes AEW World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Perry Returns, Will Ospreay Retires Move After Scary Finish

There is no doubt now, who’s house it is in AEW? It’s “Swerve’s House” after his strong showing on Sunday nights AEW Dynasty pay-per-view. In the main event, Swerve Strickland captured the AEW World Heavyweight Championship defeating Samoa Joe in a career-defining moment.

Strickland becomes the first ever Black AEW World Heavyweight Champion in the organizations history.  And it was not loss on Strickland, who spoke about it in the post-Dynasty media scrum, but also knew the moment was upon him from the moment he was going to make his ring entrance in front of a sold-out crowd in St. Louis and those watching around the world on cable outlets or via Bleacher Report.

Swerve Strickland ring entrance showed that he was dressed to impress, in a mask and black and gold spandex attire. As fans caught on , Swerve was paying tribute to the character of Kilmonger, the antagonist of 2018’s Black Panther film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But that was not all, Prince Nana, Strickland’s manager/sidekick covered Strickland with a robe that belonged to Jimmy Rave. Rave was part of Ring of Honor during the company’s early days and was part of Nana’s stable The Embassy. He has three shots at the ROH title but never won the big prize.

AEW Dynasty had three major matches back-to-back to conclude the three hours show.  Strickland in the main event defeating Samoa Joe, and before that The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) for the AEW World Tag Team Championships in a brutal ladder match.

In the deciding moment of the match after Harwood goes to climb up the ladder to reach  for the titles, a masked man runs in and knocks over the ladder. It’s revealed to be none other than the previously suspended, Jack Perry (son of the late 90210 star, Luke Perry). Perry throws up the Elite symbol as security escorts him away. Nicholas Jackson looks pleased by the interference and uses it to take advantage and climb the ladder to get control of the title belts and The Young Bucks become the new AEW tag champs, once again.

The most highly-anticipated match of the night was between two of the greatest wrestlers to ever do it – Bryan Danielson and Will Ospreay and after more than a half-hour of back and forth with high flying moves, technical precision and punches and kicks, Ospreay was able to get the pin, but unfortunately in the last few minutes of the match, Danielson went down after Ospreay delivered the Storm Driver ’91 move. Next, the referee called for medical to check out Danielson, while Will was unaware of that and continued to finish the match.

Photo: AEW

At the post-Dynasty media scrum, an upset Ospreay began by addressing reporters and sharing, “I’m super glad that everybody enjoyed the match. A little bit of a dampener on how it’s all kind of the dust has settled now. I’ve reviewed the footage myself. Seeing Bryan got hurt on the Storm Driver, and I didn’t see the referee call for the doctor and I didn’t see it. So I want to apologize on that.So even though like 90% of the time that moves been absolutely fine, seeing the damage that it’s kind of done, I’m going to retire using the Storm Driver ’91. I don’t think it’s right for me to continue using it after seeing what it did to Bryan, someone that I’ve got huge amounts of respect for, this was kind of my dream match. This is something I’ve wanted since I was a kid. Although I’m happy when everyone enjoyed the match, I’m kind of disappointed in myself. So once again, I apologize to Bryan probably apologize to AEW medics, I apologize to Tony (Khan, CEO/GM AEW).

In one of the best matches in the card, and in the opening bout, for the AEW Continental Championship Match, “Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada defeated “The Bastard” PAC to retain his title. Meanwhile, Willow Nightingale became the Women’s TBS Champion defeating Julia Hart, only to have Mercedes Mone come to the ring to challenge Willow at Double or Nothing in Vegas at the end of May.

So, what do you think of Swerve Strickland becoming AEW World Champ? Jack Perry’s return? Will Ospreay’s match-up with Bryan Danielson and its ending? Let us know in the comment section below.
