B&B's Jacqueline MacInnes Wood On Steffy's KILLER Storyline!

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) always lands herself in a heap of trouble. Most of the time by her own doing and her own machinations, but this time, in an effort to protect herself against a vengeful whackadoodle Aly Forrester (Ashlyn Pearce), she seemed to have clubbed the young gal with a tire iron, which caused Aly to hit her head on a rock and die!
And, of course, Steffy’s new nemesis, Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) captured the whole thing on her cell phone video without Steffy knowing about it. Steffy will find about said video on the upcoming Friday, August 14th episode of B&B that will change the dynamic of this storyline.
Currently, Steffy has blocked out the whole ordeal and is confused as to what happened that night on the Pacific Coast Highway with her cousin. Jacqueline MacInnes Wood spoke with TV Insider about what’s going on in Steffy’s mind, and what she is going to do about that pesky Ivy and that video! Here are a few excerpts below!
Jacqueline on if Steffy does not know she killed Aly, or if she is in denial: “It’s a blur for her. Everything happened so quickly, Steffy doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not. She can’t begin to comprehend what really happened. It’s like she’s mentally checked out and gone into primal mode. She truly believes there’s no way she killed Aly. Plus, she’s also being very careful about who she opens her mouth to because the Forresters are so famous. They’re followed by paparazzi 24/7. They live life under a microscope.”
Jacqueline on how Ivy is holding on to the cell phone video evidence and what that means in terms of Ivy blackmailing Steffy: “Ivy will share the video with Steffy’s brother Thomas and promises to not go to the police if he makes sure she’s the new face of Forrester Creations. So, basically, she’s willing to hide the truth in order to be a model. That’s blackmail. You’d think maybe she’d think big and use the video to blackmail her way into Steffy’s job as president of Forrester. But to be a model? (Laughs) Listen, if Steffy had another tire iron right now, she’d be using it on Ivy!”
What do you think of the latest storyline which will pit Steffy vs. Ivy? Don’t you think when all is said and done, Steffy will have self-defense as her plea if she were charged for murder? Share your theories below!
The fact the dialogue from that weasel Rick was totally rewritten about Taylor hitting Darla she stayed with her that was all Hectors doing. Never watch this show again after that episode Hunter Tylo helped shape this show and Brad’s childish games against her Ronn Moss Susan Flannery is a disgrace. No way would Steffy go thru this without her Mom and then Thorne treated like a day player.
k/kay agree to a point..RM and HT were and continue to be difficult actors who are buoyed by their own arrogance..SF was ready to retire..I don’t think BB had any issue with her and most likely wishes she had stayed a little longer..as far as Thorne for some odd reason BB has no idea what to do with the character maybe because he finds it difficult to write for mature actors or has to get story in so fast he goes with what clicks for him..i suppose but that’s jmo..you certainly wasted Aly and the actress and that’s too bad..and Darla as a floating head..what dreams was he having..now Steffy knocks someone upside the head and is a killer..a crime for which she will not pay..while virtuous Ivy becomes the Liz Webber of B&B…really??..I want to model so i’ll hide your secret murder and go down with you when it comes out..what is it with these female characters wanting to model at Forrester so bad they go to any lengths..no couture gown is worth all this nonsense that goes on at Forrester..Maya hid her transgender and modeled..nicole threatened to out Maya…AND MODELED…Ivy hides the truth of her best friend and cousins death,,TO DANGGONE MODEL a Forrester couture gown…SMH
As good as this show is is as bad as it can be all at once…just confusing.
These networks need to go back to 30 minutes per show and break after August sweeps till November every year.
Yes well aware of everybody’s ego also well aware of Brad Bell not writing an exit story for anyone????? Done with the show and that is my right disgusted that you have erased the history of the show for a quick fix can’t wait until he and everybody else figures out Bruce Jenner has played you for fools
Use the U.K. model Y&R 2 half hour shows Monday..1 half hour show Wednesday..and 2 half hour shows on Friday..B&B 2 half hour shows Tuesday..2 half hour shows Thursday and 1 half hour show Friday following the second half hour of Y&R or in between the 2 half hours of Y&R..in between the shows on Mondays and Thursdays and all week long in same time slots give us two really good half hour game shows or new versions of really good retro game shows we used to love..throw in a DIY or cooking show or specialty show that’s a half hour once or twice in the week and revive DAYTIME..with some thought and effort…
Seriously??? I watched 4 minutes of yesterday’s show and almost barfed!!!!! Brooke and Eric…..standing there glowing…saying what a blessing Myron is??????? Again???? Rick the pistol packin hothead, standing there telling a man he loves him and wants to marry him??? Um…mmmmokay LMAO. What universe is this show taking place in?????
Not the real Los Angeles!
I’m really not a fan of this Steffy vs Ivy rivalry but at the end of the day its good soap so I can’t complain to much
At the end of my rope with B&B. I am 100% disgusted with this producer and the writers of sheer hypocrisy. To demand on a daily basis sympathy and apologies for Maya and Rick is an affront and simply insulting. To have watched these 2 disgusting non human beings totally lacking in decency and conscience bully a mentally fragile relative on a regular basis and take such utter joy in doing so and have them go untarnished and instead rewarded every day insults the now fleeting viewing audience.
I cannot watch Maya nor Rick any more. That they consistently are treated as worthy of all makes one ill.
That the writers believe you can simply kill off their victim to install a 100% whitewash mocks the audience and their intelligence.
I am so turned off by the disrespect of Bradly Bell and his writers that I am ready for cancellation or the mass firing of the entire writing staff and a demand that Mr Bell install a new producer and step aside.
ALMOST TIME TO DROP THIS SHOW FROM MY LINE-UP…..FANTASY LAND AT BEST.
I have always loved this show until now. Are there new writers? The Myron/Maya I could tolerate but Nicole is another story. I actually turn the channel when she is on. Then the Steffy/Aly thing. There are so many inconsistencies that you can’t even believe the story line. Now Ivy will be a blackmailer. Unbelievable. What happened to this show?
This show was doing so good–and then, it’s like I don’t know what happened. All the acting has been awesome but the writing has been dreadful and totally out there. Kudos to all the actors but the writers need to improve BIG TIME!
I think I am just as annoyed at the soap press for their constant acceptance of hypocritical nonsense as if it is good storytelling.
Shame on them all.
I’m surprised there are so many negative comments on this thread. Right now B&B is positively brilliant compared to the endless nightmare that was the Hope, Steffy and Liam triangle a few years back. Is it as good as it was in the beginning? no, but I have no beef with Brad right now. Although I do think Ivy blackmailing Steffy for a modeling gig is going in the wrong direction. If Ivy and Aly were such good friends, why would Ivy now want to profit from the girl’s death? And if she was going to use blackmail, wouldn’t see just blackmail Steffy to dump Liam, so she could get another chance with him?
I’m taking a break until this story line plays out. Steffy in self defense grabbed the tire iron because Ally was holding a huge rock to smash her head in while she was on the ground. She needs to get an attorney to represent her and go to the police to clarify the situation. I’m sure they could prove her memory of the event was blurred due to stress. Then just get it over with. There is clear evidence that Ally set her up to be killed by a hit and run accident. So no Ivy is turning dark too with blackmail?? Hopefully by Christmas I can enjoy the B & B again. I’m glad Y & R is finally ending the current story line so I can watch it again.
Alley was coming at Steffy with a bag rock, what would anyone not try to defend them self, and no one knows what they would do in that split second. Luckily Alley had tried to hit Steffy with the tire iron and had dropped it in the tussle and dropped it near where Steffy fell in that tussle or it would have been Steffy that would have been dead.
Love Steffy. Sorta pissed that the character has to go thru all of this but if a pimp slap to Ivy is at the end when Steffy is vindicated, I’ll deal.
Love Steffy also. Cannot stand Ivy and the murder accusations. It was self defense pure and simple.
I agree! It was self-defense! Come on Steffy fight back too! Why have you forgotten about the big rock she was seconds from smashing your head with? Come on writers!!! Enough with the PTSD! BTW what happened to Ivy’s character?? Now she’s gone from nice girl to blackmailer? I stopped watching 8/12 until today. I’ll check in again in a month! I can’t stand the focus of any of the storylines right now.
This Ivy murder thing has gone on too long. I’m normally not a hater but Ivy has gotten me to that point if they don’t wrap this storyline up soon I will no longer watch. So sick of this storyline let Ally rest in peace.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
