B&B's Katie Finds Out The Truth About Brooke & Bill! Heather Tom Delivers Emmy-Worthy Performance!

Courtesy/CBS
In can’t miss Monday episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, it certainly lived up to it’s hype!
Everyone was waiting for the bombshell to drop thanks to Taylor (Hunter Tylo) in full destruction mode to ruin Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) life once and for all! At Brooke’s birthday celebration, Taylor reveals to Katie (Heather Tom) that her sister Brooke and Katie’s husband, Bill (Don Diamont) had an affair and Brooke became pregnant because of it!
Try as Katie might to be in disbelief that her sister and her husband would do something so wrong, so despicable, a huge part of her knew it was true once Taylor uttered the words, and she saw the reaction from Brooke who could not deny it either!
Power Performance of the Week … we would hand it to five-time Daytime Emmy winner and now two-time consecutive winner for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, Heather Tom for her knockout performance on Monday’s episode. But the week has only begun! We can’t wait for tomorrow! In key scenes, Tom showed a woman struggling to believe that what Taylor, her “trusty” therapist has said was a lie, but when in actuality she realizes it is the truth! Betrayed by Taylor and everyone she knows, Katie clears out the room, slaps her husband Bill, and gets ready for a showdown with her sister Brooke! It was an amazing performance which should give Tom another Emmy nomination, or Emmy win, in 2014!
Watch today’s B&B on CBS.com by clicking here! And watch Monday’s promo from B&B featuring some big moment from the episode after the jump! Let us know what you thought of Heather Tom’s performance? What do you think will happen tomorrow when Katie and Brooke have it out? Are you glad Taylor spilled the beans? Weigh-in!
Wow I was so right yesterday on about her submitting this as an emmy performance. Apparently Heather Tom will win lead actress each year now until their are no soaps to air
Yes heather will win another emmy next year. she deserves another emmy. Heather can act. good for heather. i love this woman so much.
I SWEAR AS I WATCHED THIS TODAY THEN WATCH AGAIN AND THEN AGAIN…I KEPT THINKING HERE COME THOMS NEXT EMMY,,,THIS WOMEN IS AMAZING ,,EVERY EMOTION COMES THROUGH HER ENTIRE FACE,,,I HAVE TO SAY BEST SCENE ON BOLD AND BEAUTIFULL IN A LONG TIME….HAVE TO SAY KATHERINE KELLY LANG HELD HER OWN IN THIS SCENE,,,,WHILE DON DIAMOND DIDNT FIZZ ON ME IN THE LEAST,,ITS A POWER HOUSE PERFORMER LIKE THOM THAT CAN MAKE YOU ONLY FEEL FOR HER CHARACTER…I MEAN CMON DID ANYONE FEEL FOR THE DOLLAR OR BROOK
Yes she is awesome. NO she should NOT win again!
Randy, its TOM, not Thom.
Another emmy for next year! HT is amazing……….
I agree with you derrick. heather tom will win again. she is a wonderful actress. her scenes on todays episode were amazing.
Yawn! Nothing Emmy worthy about the very talented Heather Tom crying about another breakup! I love Heather and she is a fantastic actress. I just hate seeing the same people win multiple awards. No offense to her, but stop submitting. You clearly are vain and it is all about you! Some actors know when to stop. Meryl Streep is an example who even poked fun at her last Oscar win by acknowledging that maybe it is time to reward another actor/actress.
Heather, you are great, but DO NOT submit yourself again. Vanity is a trait you should where for ONE year!! 🙂
Yawn? I don’t even watch the B&B and the ad for this performance made me watch it. I miss Heather Tom from Y&R. Her performance was far more than crying about a break up. I wish she had stayed on Y&R. I think she should submit and win. There is nothing vain about giving credit where its due. And btw Robert, its wear, not where.
I was discussing this very same thing with several people today – that if she doesn’t use this as part of her Emmy reel she’s crazy…and that she could very easily make it 4 in a row next year. Amazing!
BINGO!!!!
Truly was a great performance…and I’m not a huge B&B fan or Heather Tom fan…but it was good work. Although, I’m not quite sure why we’re talking about Emmy’s now….the year is still young and there is lots of time for other actresses to have great moments on screen. I’m a firm believer that the same person should not win year after year….it’s not good for the Emmy show, if all the nominees and winners are that predictable.
I think the same person winning consec years is the least of what’s ‘not good for the Emmy show.’
Agree with you Torrey. It is a long time till the next Emmys. I see so many great performances all year by people who are never even nominated. Heather was fine yesterday but her performance was exactly what I expected. She’s been dojng that “scene” for several years now. Have seen it all before with her & she’s great but again-been there, done that.
Ooops, just saw today’s (Wed. July 3) show & boy Heather hit it out of the park! I spoke too soon yesterday. This show was heartbreaking & Taylor . . . Eric is pissed & rightfully so. What a mess.
Heather Tom certainly rendered Brooke and Dollar Bill speechless. Her emotional, chin quivering rage was epic and pure top entertainment. It looks like she is not done with her sister and husband and I wonder where her rage will take her. Liam and Hope’s attraction for her other may also take a hit for the affair of their parents. This could be where Wyatt comes in for Hope. It makes you wonder who’s left for Liam as he doesn’t seem to be reeling too much with Stephanie gone. Heather Tom is showing why she has so many emmys; she’s that good.
Guess Bill won’t have to take Katie dancing now.
That was good stuff. Feel bad for Katie. Maybe she can forgive Bill. I can’t see her forgiving Brooke.
KKL was also flawless,BROOKE’s emotions were perfectly reflected.Next year EMMY should go to KKL! she really ROCKED yesterday.
Now will Brooke grow up and change her ways? At 50 (or nearing), Brooke Logan — and Taylor Hayes — should stop this “mean girls” sort of gaming and be the strong women they are capable of being. It is always good storytelling to see one see the error of the ways and chart a path to redemption. I cannot think of anyone who would stand by Brooke after this comes to light. I mean, she destroyed Katie! I think Brooke could be so dynamic — actress KKL is very good — but the writing never serves her well. For once, I want to see an independent Brooke who does not need to have a man to stand behind. There are no more Forrester men to bed and I really think we’ve done the “mother steals daughter’s boyfriend” plot enough that is it done.
As for Katie, Heather Tom plays her to perfection. I would like to see Katie stronger, too, and this may be her wake-up call. She has been betrayed so many times — didn’t Donna steala boyfriend from her when they were teens early on in the series? — I want her to fight back. Take Spencer money and use her smarts to roar back. A sibling rivlary could fuel many plots until the day comes years down when they need to reunite.
I know this is soap opera, but I want stronger plots. B&B has to navigate some choppy waters with the departure of Taylor and Steffy. We could use fresher stories witht he little used characters. And bring back Ridge. We can accept an actor other than Ronn Moss.
I hate this story. It isn’t even new. Brooke takes one step forward and two back. I was hoping that Brooke would call Taylor on Taylor’s involvement with the Forrester men – Ridge, Thorne and Eric. Taylor is the new Brooke but no one seems to notice.
I was struck, watching the Monday and Tuesday episodes, at how far the show has come (and not in a good way). Both Brooke and Taylor are now repellent human beings. Brooke is such a ginormous slut that she can’t keep her underpants on even if it means hurting her sister, and Taylor is so blindly vindictive that she’ll risk devastating a patient in her quest to wound an enemy. Neither one of them has a shred of ethics, responsibility, or sense of proportion. Once upon a time, I used to like both of them a lot (and wonder what they saw in Ridge); now there’s nothing remotely likeable about either one of them (and Ridge’s callous treatment of both of them would not bother me in the least). Brooke’s behavior appalls me more at the moment, but neither one of them is winning any prizes, and Taylor’s degeneration into a harpy may make her the more repulsive one of the two, in the long run.
I was also disappointed in the writing, especially on Tuesday. There was actually an attempt to make it look as though Bill has a leg to stand on, and Katie sort of let him get away with it. I expected her to wipe the floor with both of them–after this kind of betrayal, they deserve it. I can only hope Katie comes roaring back today, but I kind of doubt it. She’s already let Bill get away with so much (such as when he locked her in the tower in the house a while back). It must be hard sometimes for Heather Tom, whose acting has always projected such strength, to portray such a wimpy character.
That said, HT knocked it out of the park, as she always does.
we need her as victoria newman.
I never watch a soap episode more than once but with the fantastic job that MS Heather Thom did ..I watched it twice. She was so real! It gave me goose bumps!
Guess I am going to disagree with everybody I thought KKL”s performance was subtle and moved me far more. I thought Heather Tom was over the top. I get real tired of Brad Bell making KKL an immature sex addict I give her kudos for taking the material no matter how insane it is and she made it work for me this time and I am so tired of him not letting her character mature. Just my two cents worth.
Well I must say that Katie is an amazing actress hands down. I really feel like the writer has put this woman through hell and back. Katie is just too sweet of a person to be with someone like Bill who will just keep ripping her heart out. I don’t think Bill wanting his family back will pan out. I don’t trust him. He will just use Katie to get back his company and have his control back. I don’t think Katie’s medical conditions, even though they say she’s alright now can last too long with the stress and emotional roller coasters of being with Bill. I would prefer that she finds true love with the new Ridge because Bill isn’t capable of truly loving anyone. He has no clue what love is. Same thing with Brooke. She doesn’t know what it means to love family, a man or herself. She thinks love is a good roll in the hay with a stallion. She’s pathetic and disgusting. She has the nerve to say she wants Katie to forgive her, after what she put her little sister through. What a heartless and self serving b!@$%. I’m glad in a way that Bill tossed her in the trash where she belonged when he was done with her. How low she must feel. How stupid she must feel going around like she’s the better woman for her sisters husband. Agreeing with every stupid thing Bill says and does to keep him in her bed even if it’s dangerous. She really tried to manipulate the guy with her act and her crocodile tears. My dear Katie has just gone through way too much and needs to be happy with that adorable little baby of hers. That beautiful little boy doesn’t need to be around such bad energy created from Bill and Brooke. I hate seeing her baby around that negative energy even if it’s acting, the baby doesn’t know. The baby gets fussy around it. I know that Katie wants her family back as well, but at what cost? I just have a bad feeling that Katie will get hurt again from Bill. This time he will have his company, house and control back and Katie won’t have any leverage. The only way it seems that a woman can be with a Spencer, is to control him in some way or out smart him to get his respect. Brooke gave away everything. She gave away her pride and self worth to bed her sister’s husband. Compared to Katie, Brooke is weak and doesn’t have much going for her except a beautiful house given by someone else’s husband she stole. She has nothing of her own.
It would be interesting now that Katie has proven she has the balls to stand on her own two feet, to still have control over the company and grant Bill access only if he behaves himself. It seems that’s the only way to get any good out of that douche bag, Bill. The Spencer men have to be controlled or they get out of control. Let’s just hope that Katie doesn’t get fooled into giving up power over Bill. I’s sad that Brooke is like 100 years old now and is still using s@x to steal husbands away. I guess it’s not that good anymore. Eric refused it when she tried to seduce him a month or two ago, and Bill used it, got bored and threw it in the trash can away to the recycle bin to be used by some unsuspecting victim. She really needs to close her legs. I would enjoy Katie laughing at her and telling her how right Stephanie Forester was, in calling her a slut from the valley. She should tell her that men only use her, but commit to real women. Katie is young and beautiful. Why would anyone want someone that old anyway, especially when they’re known world wide as the slut that had a baby by her daughter’s husband. Yuk.
Boo ooh..what’s this about katie katie katie. I love taylor she is the best an will always be the best..she plays a very important role on b&b..an katie has no right to throw her out..I just dnt like katie..that face of hers makes me sick..!she dnt deserve to win the emmy..but hunter tylo does..

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
