Beyond the Gates is set to air two upcoming episodes on Friday, October 2 and Monday, October 5 on CBS, which will feature the residents of Fairmont Crest gathering at the Dupree family home for a spirited tailgate ahead of Banneker’s Homecoming, decked out in the university’s signature crimson and gold.

The episodes celebrate African American heritage by showcasing the longstanding homecoming traditions of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCU’s) through the show’s fictional Banneker University.

With five generations of the Dupree family having attended Banneker, Homecoming is more than a celebration – it’s a cherished family legacy. For the Duprees and the Fairmont Crest community, it offers an opportunity to honor their shared history, celebrate their HBCU pride, and come together for a special day filled with family, friendship, and tradition.

Love the show

BTG just seems to know how to make its storytelling so much fun and grounded in reality (even though soap plotting is not so much). Touches, such as this college homecoming, are really enjoyable and involve everyone.

I do not miss an episode family and friends know not to call at 2:00 I love this Black oriented Soap Opera

Can we get some BU gear? I love the sweaters!

I’m glad to see this

I’m a Southern University Janquar alumni. But loves all my HBCU

Absolutely love the show honing in on black culture/tradition such as the Articulettes, the Debutante cotillion, partying together and now homecoming. I would have loved Randy singing tenor in Mona’s church choir lol.

As a Graduate of Clark Atlanta University (HBCU in Atlanta Georgia) I Thank BTG for tapping into this rich Black History!!

t 88, I have never watched a daytime soap story. I started watching BTG and NEVER miss an episode!
The creative manner that Black history, emotions are woven into the story is historical correct! The fashions are Beautiful and the story line holds interest! Congratulations to a wonderful way to acknowledge and display the greatness of our HBCU’s!

I absolutely love this Soap! It has amazing representation and the imagery and references are in a word, comforting. Everytime I see Nicole’s degree from Tougaloo behind her or Vernon gives a deep rooted history lesson, I feel seen! Then when yall did the crossover with Y & R, the interactions of the two most high profile people in Genoa City and the Duprees! Just made it even better because it showed the RESPECT! Then we had Devon, another representation of wealth and strategy! Its just beautiful to see it come together ❤️ I just want to be an extra one day. And I own a ChelseaKat bag! Im all in!

please don’t follow the other soaps by letting everyone sleep with everyone

MIKE MANNING’S UPCOMING PROJECTS

While Manning has his series regular role on Beyond the Gates he is also involved in a myriad of other projects including: his role opposite Nicolas Cage in the film, Madden and the upcoming Anthony Hopkins starring motion picture, Eyes in the Tree, which Manning is featured and also produced.

Mike first gained nation attention back on MTV’s The Real World D.C., now almost 17 years ago, when he came out on the reality series, which served as an example of early LGBTQ+ representation, leading to thousands of letters from viewers who felt connected to, or felt represented by his journey. Through his advocacy, Manning has served as a youth ambassador for Boo2Bullying and advocates for LGBTQ+ rights, anti-bullying, and environmental protection.

Daytime fans first met Manning as uber-bad guy Charlie Dale on Days of our Lives (2020-2o22) and later for his Emmy-winning role as Caleb McKinnon on The Bay.

This week on all-new episodes of Beyond the Gates, viewers will see the pick-up after Smitty has been framed for the murder of Dr. Lia Whitmore, after being in possession of incriminating pills linked to her death, that were seemingly planted at his home.
