It’s been clear for awhile now that General Hospital has been pushing Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) more into the orbit of Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), leading to speculation that the two will become more than just business associates and friends.

Well, now, Tanisha Harper has confirmed that the long-running ABC soap opera is testing the waters for a Jordan/Michael romance in her discussion with Soap Opera Digest.

The two characters share something in common, in that, they both have suffered severe burns and disfigurement, and they share a common bond working for Aurora Media.

CHEMISTRY TEST

Harper explained, “At first, they were kind of just sprinkling it in; we were starting to do some scenes together here and there. But, I think the writers and Frank Valentini (EP, GH) liked it, and we’ve progressed with that.”

This poses a bit of dilemma for Jordan, who’s boyfriend Curtis Ashford had been sent to Pentonville for assaulting Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), but who just wound up on the receiving end of a prison beat down and landed at the hospital.

All things being equal, Tanisha shared that Michael is fast becoming, “the one person who understands what she’s going through on a deeper level. That makes for a strong connection, and I think the fans are starting to see that connection, too.”

As to if things will escalate and get hot and steamy from herem like any great forbidden love story, Tanisha shared, “That seems to be where we’re headed. In true soap fashion!”

Harper also noted about the future of Jordan and Michael, “We’ll see what the writers have in store for us, but I do think that this could be something really interesting. It’ll make some people mad, and some people will be here for it!”

So, are you down for a Jordan and Michael romance? Let us know via the comment section below.

Is this why the writers ruined Curtis? The clever former DEA agent and PI has been transformed with no explanation into a foolish, impulsive, fixated, jealous, violent man. Jordan is better off without this version of Curtis who keeps pulling her into his false accusations and fixations – and she inexplicably keeps backing him up. Of all the bizarre and unpleasant character transformations lately, these two are among the hardest for me to swallow. (Honourable mention to Joss the WSB braintrust, and Ava, who is somehow Drew’s latest dupe.)

MICHAEL JORDAN, the name moniker alone is super, but I know its a soap and soap is all a about crossing the line and not caring about the other person(curtis) but Michael alone already betrayed Chase back in the day with Willow and then he was betrayed by his uncle, why would he then do this to Curitis? whose become one of the most annoying characters on the show, so its not about him really but more about Michael as a character just not having any boundaries which would make him just as bad as Drew. Why cant two people of the oppisite sex simply just be friends?

If this pairing is true, combined with the introduction of a sister, GH is placing a lot of faith and increased prominence on Tanisha and the character of Jordan. Until recently, there’s been many months where we only see Jordan 2-3 days total. Now, after 12 years, the character finally gets a maiden name, non-offspring family and a potential pairing with the list connected legacy character on the show.

Jordan is older than Michael, but they do have a bond because of their shared scarring experiences. I kind of like them together. Michael is smiling more and better than sanctimonious Curtis.

Women being older than men seems to be a common theme in here and I don’t get why people have an issue with it.

Because it is a double standard. Men can be older than women, but women cannot be older than men.

Well, it has happened on GH before, but usually doesn’t end well. Like with Ava and Morgan, which ultimately ended with Morgan’s supposed “death” after she messed with his medication.

Or Ava with Duke Lavery’s son (fuzzy Devil memory forgets his name at the moment) which ultimately ended with Ava being jealous of her own daughter and wishing her dead. A wish that psycho serial killer Ryan Chamberlain was more than happy to grant for her.

Of course Jordan’s not a murderous psychopath like Ava, so maybe she could be with a younger dude like Mikey without anybody ending up dead.

I forget where Serena Baldwin comes in age wise compared to Mikey, but they probably aren’t far off from each other, one way or the other. And if there’s anything that would bring Scotty Baldwin running back to Port Charles, it would be to find his daughter was hooking up with a guy who’s related to both Luke Spencer AND Sonny Corinthos!

It seems to be women that have an issue with it, which is pretty shameful.

Maybe it could work but the problem is Jordan is pretty boring. And when Trina finds out it’s all going to be about how Jordan hurt her father. Trina starts every sentence with, “My father.” She is the Meghan McCain of daytime.

Wow, spot on. Trina and Chase ought to pair up. They could have a self-righteousness showdown until one of them explodes into flames. The two most obnoxious characters on daytime.

Ha ha! And that is a stiff competition

I think Meghan wins the prize for being more annoying though.

They have already tested Tanisha version of Jordan with multiple men and it has been a failure Everytime that has been the real issue nobody wants to talk about so it is pointless to test her with Michael especially when they still going to have Curtis propping on screen

im getting ready to stop watching GH if they pair them together that will be the last time I watch it

I DEFINITELY do NOT want to see this happening! I’ll still watch, but I will fast forward through their scenes if it happens. C’mon writers, give Michael a love interest that will LAST! Not one has lasted. He deserves deserves it

I am here for it!

I might be in the minority here but, I think a Jason and Jordan pairing could be more fun. The former bad a** mob enforcer and the former Port Chuckles police commissioner. I think they could do the P.I. work in Port Chuck, helping prove Sonny didn’t try to kill Sidwell. Or team up to try and find Sidwell after he escapes. Check Justines house, Lol. I think she needs to get back to her bada** DEA days instead of all the glitz and glam.

No way. Bring Sasha back!

Kin Shriner Gives High Praise to ‘General Hospital’ TV Daughter Kelly Kruger

It’s been over two-years since his last appearance on General Hospital, now fan favorite Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin) has taken to social media to share his thoughts on the casting of his grown-up TV daughter, Serena Baldwin now played by Kelly Kruger.

Kelly took over the role of Serena on-screen starting with the July 30, 2026 episode and has been ensconced in the storyline with her mother, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), in trying to win back full creative control of Deception for her.

In fact on the Monday, October 19 episode of the ABC soap opera, Serena tried to dupe Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) into signing over Michael’s (Rory Gibson) shares of the company. Jason caught on and wondered why she was doing this. She claimed she just wanted to help her mom gain creative control from Tracy (Jane Elliot) rather than full ownership, and begged Jason to keep quiet about it, which he agreed to for now.

WHERE IS SCOTT?

On Monday, Shriner also took to X and said, “I think Kelly Kruger is doing a great job on General Hospital, and she and Lynn Herring work well together.” That was followed by comments in his thread about the show needing to bring back Scott too.

In fact, back on August 25, Shriner also took to X with a reminder that Scott is still around and ready to come back to Port Charles, sharing, “Scotty Baldwin always fits in he just needs the right sport coat !!!!”

The last time Serena mentioned her father Scott was when Kruger made her debut and informed Lucy that her father was, “living his best life in Key West.”  Meanwhile, Shriner posts on his X account continually and shared back on August 2, that it has been 49 years since he made his on-screen debut as then teenaged, Scotty Baldwin and thanked the fans for al the love and support.

So, now let us know, are you enjoying Kelly Kruger as Serena Baldwin? Do you want to see GH bring back Scott Baldwin into the story, so Serena has both her parents in Port Charles? Do you like the potential of Jason and Serena pairing? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

‘General Hospital’s’ Jonathan Bennett Talks On Where Joe Fitzpatrick is Headed and Soap Opera Shirtless Scenes

Published

By

Jonathan Bennett

It had become abundantly clear that roomies Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) and PCPD detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) seem destined towards a romance on General Hospital.

In fact, to get Lucas all hot and bothered (although he does fully let on), during the Friday, October 16 episode, the good doctor helps Joe pick out something less stuffy to wear to a bar to meet people.

However, the moment is met with Joe taking off his shirt in front of Lucas and doing a quick change from sport coat and button down shirt to a more relaxed casual button down shirt. In fact, the ABC soap opera even called out the moment as their clip of the day (see below).

MAJOR STORY TEASE FOR JOE

Bennett spoke with OUT in a new feature about what may be on the horizon for the by-the-book Joe and the moral Lucas, and how he learned that once the producers and writers on a soap script in a shirtless scene, if it goes over well, said actor, can expect many more in the months to come!

“I’m so excited for the audience to see where my character goes on General Hospital. It’s going to be monumental and I think people are going to love it,” teased Bennett. “I was shirtless in an episode and so petrified to shoot it,” he added. “I wanted to look my best and feel good. I really worked hard to get my body to a good place and I did it.”

STAYING CAMERA READY

However as Jonathan points out, now he is finding himself half-naked in upcoming scenes as officer Joe! “I think I shot myself in the foot! Now that I did it once and it turned out well, every few weeks I read a script and I’m coming out of the shower, changing my shirt, or in the bathtub,” revealed Jonathan.

So, how does he keep camera ready? “I’m in the gym more, I have a better diet,” pointed out Bennett. “You have to stay healthy if you’re going to be shirtless every few weeks! I’m gay, an only child, and an actor. Of course I love the attention!”

While Bennett’s Port Charles story is going to reveal itself in the coming months, you can also see Jonathan back as the host of The Food Network’s Halloween Wars 16th season which concludes on Sunday, October 25.

Now below. check out the scene in question from Friday’s GH entitled, “Lose the Shirt.”

Weigh-in: What do you think will be “monumental” that Jonathan has teased that viewers will find out about Joe in the coming weeks? Are you feeling the on-screen chemistry between Joe and Lucas? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
