Billy Flynn and Kate Mansi Returning To Days of our Lives

Photo:JPI

Big news from the DOOL app that went down on Sunday during the Daytime Emmy Awards.  Fan favorites Billy Flynn and Kate Mansi are coming back to Days of our Lives to reprise their roles of Chad DiMera and Abigail Deveraux DiMera.

When viewers last saw Chad and Abby, they tied the knot and headed off to Europe with their children in tow.  Now, we will have to wait and see just what happens when they return to Salem!

Look for Flynn and Mansi’s return to happen this fall on-screen.

As many know, Mansi previously won a Daytime Emmy for her work as Abby, and Flynn has been a nominee.

Make sure to download the DOOL app for more breaking news and features with the cast of DAYS!

So, excited to learn that Chabby is coming home? Comment below.

I am shocked, honestly. I didn’t expect them to return so soon, especially with Kate Mansi in the role. I’m wondering, however, is this a long-term return or a short-term return for holiday-centric episodes? Admittedly, I would’ve preferred for Marci Miller to return, but it’ll be nice to have two familiar faces back in these roles, especially since Billy Flynn admitted he’d accept a recast if that were the route TPTB chose to take for the character of Chad.

More than likely this is a short visit. I hate when they make headlines like these making it sound as if they are coming back, then its like for 2 episode. Bye.

Yeah, ReRon pulled that dragonshit all the time when he was ruining GH. And we’re already seeing this on Days i.e. the recent 2 day appearance of Valerie Grant. If all she was going to do was break up with Abe, that didn’t need to be shown on screen.

I would guess we will see Chad & Abby show up for the Hellidays and then disappear again shortly thereafter.

Maybe because of their budget, DOOL can’t afford to have Kate Mansi and Billy Flynn come back full-time and maybe they’re even fine with short term returns and not be tied down to a contract. So maybe the show is just happy to get them back when they can

No offense to Kate but I would have liked Marci Miller come back as Abby. Kate has been in a lot of Lifetime movies ,hey maybe they should chance the name to Days Of our Lifetime.

I’m happy about this news. Now as for why the characters of Chad and Abigail might be returning, well if and when Jack remembers it makes sense that his daughter Abigail should be there for it and maybe Chad returns to support Abigail.

Yes! Why did TPTB have them written out in the first place?

Tyra Banks Exiting ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Yesterday, Tyra Banks dropped a bombshell when speaking with a reporter from TMZ, while out for a stroll.

Banks shared that she’s not going to be returning as host of Dancing with the Stars, and has decided to focus on the business and entrepreneurial side of her career, plus producing behind the scenes entertainment projects.

This morning on Friday, Banks confirmed the news to Deadline.

Tyra had joined DTWTS in season 29 when she replaced longtime host, Tom Bergeron. She also became an executive producer of the reality-ballroom dance competition.

Last season, DWTS streamed exclusively on Disney Plus, and was taken off the ABC network.  During the last season, Tyra co-hosted the show with Alfonso Ribeiro, although she still presided over the ballroom competition.

Thus far, there has been no news of the next season of the series, although it’s expected to return.  In addition to Banks, dancer Mark Ballas along with the previously announced departure of dancer Cheryl Burke, leave the show with some shoes to fill.

Check out Tyra’s chat with TMZ below.
