Billy Miller Last Airdate Jan 30th on Y&R! David Tom Returns On-Air Feb 3rd!

For those who are still reeling from yesterday’s news that Billy Miller is leaving The Young and the Restless in the pivotal role of Billy Abbott, and is being replaced by the original actor to play the role, David Tom, more info has come to light via TV Guide Magazine’s Michael Logan!

First off,  Billy Miller will continue taping scenes at the CBS soap until December 19th.  That means, Y&R fans will see the last of Miller in the role of Billy Abbott on January 30th.   David Tom will then first be seen on the February3rd episode of the series.

A Y&R rep told TVG on the casting switcheroo:  “The show wanted Billy Miller to stay and worked hard to make that happen but we are going in another direction now.  We are very excited to have David Tom back in the role.  Not only is he a terrific actor, it will give us an opportunity to dig into our archives and use some of those great old Glow by Jabot flashbacks.  We say a big thank you to Billy Miller and wish him well in all his future endeavors.”

Y&R’s Joshua Morrow (Nick) voiced his sadness at the departure of his long time cast mate Miller via Twitter last night when he tweeted first, “today was not a good day. :(”   And that was followed by a second tweet “Guess my tweet was too cryptic…..found out Billy Miller is leaving….I am not happy about it. I am going to bed to pout :(“

So are you ready for Miller to vacate the role and for Tom to step back in?  Weigh-in!

I’ll miss Billy Miller but I’m excited about David Tom returning. Since I started with his Billy, it will feel like the real Billy has returned to me. The stories were top notch back when he was on. The single story all my kids remember is Billy dying in the snow. Can’t wait to see him again.

I wish Billy Miller luck and hope he finds the role he desires in prime time, he has the talent, he should go for it.

If Y&R did not want Billy Miller to leave then why couldnt everyone come to some agreement….I think it is BS when they said they are taking his role in another direction…Billy Miller is the only RIGHT CHOICE

Billy Miller is my favorite besides Joshua Morrow. I googled everywhere in disbelief. When I found out Billy Miller was leaving Y&R I cried like a baby. I don’t know how I can watch Y&R without him 🙁

i know right…. ?

it really boggles the mind…

that the production team…. casting/writing/producers…

don’t know how crucial Billy Miller’ ACTING is top draw… along with Michael Muhney… these two.. are: the nuVictor and nuJack

honestly…..

it doesn’t reason that Y&R would let him go…

it baffles me… that fans are not listened to…..

The right and ONLY choice. They should speed up whole Delia SL to completion so BM can finish it all the yway out; I cant imagine DT coming in and finishing this SL.

AND… DT looks way younger than Amelia so this should be EXTREMELY interesting.

Hopefully the new direction will be away from Victoria!
I agree, David looks way too young to be with her, even though he’s a year older than Billy M.
David just has the perennial baby-face (like Jonathan Jackson on GH) and really never “looks right” with more mature looking women.

After all these years I now have a reason to stop recording and watching Y&R. It took me a while to like the new “Billy,” but now I cannot imagine a better actor playing that role. The chemistry between Billy and Amelia is so believable. I always thought it would be a matter of time before Miller would move on to bigger and better. Good luck to Billy Miller–you deserve it. Best of luck to all the characters of Y&R.

I AGREE! !!! I can’t stand to see anyone but him with Victoria …I’m so upset i deleted this from my dvr. I can’t even watch it anyone 🙁

Don’t go billy. Ill miss your face

I will miss Billy Miller.

P.S. I still say Adam did not kill Delia. I believe I saw two cars in that scene, one was Adam and the other a woman. Whatever happened to her? I bet we will find out down the road. Could it not be her that ran over Delia?

I agree with you I saw Delia hugging the dog on the side of the road. Adam did not kill her

I agree also Adam didn’t kill Delia. No scratches on the car no thump, but with no other story line they will drag this out for another 2 yrs. This is very boring now. When you come up with a better story line and Billy and Michael are back let us know.

Billy Miller will be missed, no one can play his role as Billy as he did, you might as well kill him off and have no Billy Abbot. You should be ashamed that you did not do what you needed to renew his contract you need to get Billy Miller back!

I know I’m so pissed!! I love Billy..i cannot watch it without him! Besides how could you replace that beautiful man with an ugly one!

Bring Billy Miller back!!!!!!! He is such a tremendous actor, and the only believable Billy!!!!!!!!!! Noone can successfully replace him as Billy!!!!!!!

Sooo agree with Josh NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS AT ALL!! I agree we don’t know what happened in the negotiations, but if it were Eric B they would have worked their asses off to keep him… Billy Miller is at his best right now and they let him walk!!!! I wonder what the rest of his cast is feeling right now…

Not really, a few years back Eric B got canned when they couldn’t come to terms, and the character of Victor and Nikki were written out and they explained their absent by saying they went to Europe for some medical reason after Victor got his new heart from Colleen. It was only because fans were so outraged that they eventually worked something out, otherwise Eric B would not have been back at all. Only a small few might have enough weight and fan base to squeeze a bit more out of the show, but eventually, everyone is replaceable, every character can be written out.

Oh, that they hadn’t worked things out with EB! I would be much less stressed when I watch Y&R if he weren’t there!

I think they both make a good Billy Abbott. I have no issue with that particular change. It’s the rest of the show that has changed my mind about watching. And I stopped that weeks ago. I just keep up with postings online. But those opinions are for another day.

I am not happy that he’s leaving

me either, I’m going to miss seeing hime =o(

His DAYS will be better.

TRUE FANS OF THE SHOW–DIE HARDS ARE NOT HAPPY AT ALL– BILLY MILLER BROUGHT SOOOOOO MUCH MORE TO BILLY ABBOTT THAN ANYONE ELSE (Including Mr. Tom!) Miller is ABBOTT! No doubt about it! Hpe folks speak up and write in to SONY TELEVION on FB and CBS DAYTIME and COMPALIN. BOCOTT FEBRUARY, so they fall to last in the ratings during Sweeps–THAT”ll teach them!

how do we boycott the y&r because I can help do it Billy what makes the show too.

I will miss BILLY MILLER. He is fantastic in everything he does. I wish him all the luck in the world in his new endeavors.
Maybe he will go to prime time so I can see more of him.

that would be awsome if he went to Prime Time ! =D

I’ll be the devil’s advocate here. I’m happy for Billy Miller. I think he’s been wanting to leave for awhile now. I wish him well and it will sure be interesting seeing David Tom playing Billy Abbott again!

Bad move

I agree

What is it with these shows? They have great actors who win Emmys and the following year they get rid of them. Something doesn’t make sense.

I’m not happy that Billy is leaving.
I don’t really remember David Tom in the role of Billy Abbott.
I may not have been watching the show then.

I certainly will miss Billy Miller. He’s done a fantastic job portraying this character. I will him all the very best in his future.

I was not a Y&R viewer when David Tom played the role. I do remember him from his time as the dastardly Paul Cramer on OLTL. He’s was great.

not wanting to be too “cryptic”

as well:

Phyllis
Katherine
Billy
Delia
Nina
Chance
NO ABBOTTS

I don’t know… having to rely on lackluster and losing steam… Victor and Jack

I’m not one to cast doubt on Serial….

but… the production lends itself that way….

now it would seem… for ME…. it’s Adam, Jill, Victoria, Michael…. who are left carrying the show.

writers… you have so much power… to bring back Nikki and Sharon… who are MIA.

i have misgivings that Y&R can rebuild.

good luck to Cynthia Watros
good luck to Tristan Rogers
good luck to Sean Corrigan

Days of OUR Lives – hello!

NBC/Sony/DOOL: offer Billy Miller the role… give him the cashola he wants.

REPLACE for Daniel…..

he would make a huge impact on ALL of SALEM.

NO – we want him on General Hospital!!

He’ll probably try his luck in primetime…too young for Danial role…maybe he could be Jeremy Horton, Micheal’s son and a new love interest for Theresa but im not sure he’d jump into another soap role at the moment…he might be more interested trying primetime first…imo.

“REPLACE for Daniel…..”
Uh, no. Daniel is just fine right where he is

Waaayyyyyy too young for Daniel…can you really picture him with Jennifer? Gag!

I agree:

I just think… (wish list).

IF… DAYS… deems Daniel ALL THAT… I digress… to feature him SO prominently in every facet of Salem…. GAG! it’s my wish… that he at least be replaced by some one who can act. I can’t stomach DAYS Daniel….

same goes for Kiki on GH.

I doubt that Billy Miller will rush right back in to Serial… and I want him on daytime…

DAYS and GH should pay beaucoup bucks and cashola his show.

He’s dream team material

Back up the Truck! I want him Back on Y&R BEFORE any other deals come thru…..TRUE FANS OF THE SHOW–DIE HARDS ARE NOT HAPPY AT ALL– BILLY MILLER BROUGHT SOOOOOO MUCH MORE TO BILLY ABBOTT THAN ANYONE ELSE (Including Mr. Tom!) Miller is ABBOTT! No doubt about it! Hpe folks speak up and write in to SONY TELEVION on FB and CBS DAYTIME and COMPALIN. LOL… “hold your horse’s”

he’s not even cold

I could not agree MORE with you.

the current state of affairs at Y&R is, IMO, staggeringly dismal… I don’t know what to think.. of even ways to improve after SO much STELLAR talent… has exited…

I’m hoping Cynthia Watros Kelly steps up to the plate
i’m hoping Tristan Rogers Colin, does the same

I don’t know… if it’ll resonate with me… that the original Billy, DT is coming back… he was a boy… and now that Billy Miller… THEE man… and Mr. Y&R in my book… is no longer with…

i’m flabbergasted..
dumbfounded… on ways and means to further along reel

don’t forget the popcorn

The two better actors, let go and fired! What are you thinking Y&R?I know what i’m thinking.they are better off.I see much better things ahead for them both!Best of luck and God Bless you both.

Day 1 fan-Have been through all the incarnations with Old/New Jack, Jill, Ashley, Billy, Lily, Phyllis, Diane, Vikki, Adam, etc., but Billy Miller’s version is mature, fallible, gripping, relatable and caring. He will be missed terribly. I will enjoy “Billy A” as long as he is there and hope David T. (who I loved as teen Billy) has matured as an actor and can resume his role as well as has been done by Billy Miller. Always hoped that Heather Tom (who is awesome as Katie on B&B) would return to Vikki over the years past, but now with her new role, I don’ t want her to leave BB and Don Diamont (YR-Brad Carlton). Glad she didn’t return, cuz Vikki & Billy would be played by brother/sister duo. Good Luck Billy M., will look forward to more exposure for you.

It’s sad that Billy is leaving, yes. But I saw this coming. He’s been in bad contract negotiations for YEARS. And when he signed a one-year deal last year, I knew he’d leave when it was over.

if they keep changing the characters the show will lose the impact it has as we bond with a certain person in a role. I’m still trying to accept the new Kyle Abbott

NuKyle has got to got. Do not like him at all.

I agree mo, he just doesn’t fit in

I’m sure General Hospital could find room for an awesome, gorgeous actor like Billy Miller! Lord knows they have some ‘dead weight’ characters (Carlos, Rafe, TJ, Brad) they could get rid of, & there is talk of some old characters coming back, played by new actors (Dillon Q., Lucas Jones etc.) – so come on over to GH Billy!!

I am not ready for him to leave. He is my fave on the show. It’s his choice to leave, natch. Just sad. I think they could have found someone better to replace him. Don’t know how he’ll fare with Amelia.

I love Billy Miller!!! I wish he was staying – he is such a good actor!

Oh NOOOOOO! Can’t be………. Miller is sooooo true to life…… I connect with him…… Please don’t do this……. !!!! The cast is family!!!!! No new changes please!!!!!! Don’t fix what is not broken…… No, no, no!!! 🙁

I am going to miss Billy Miller. I was so happy when he came on board after seeing him on AMC as Annie’s crazy brother Ritchie. He just lights up every scene he is in. I hope he gets a good gig after this. Hard to walk away from a steady paycheck. It takes a lot of guts. Way too many changes in characters this year. I always feel someone is missing when I watch these days. Another big loss.

As a long time soap watcher I have seen many actors come and go, some go on to be big names in other fields, while others have returned to their daytime roots. Some actors enjoy the working on a soap because it gives them a steady income, regular hours and that is good if you have a family to support. But others want a chance to grow as an artist, and playing the same character day in and day out for years on end isn’t always the appealing choice for some. So I don’t begrudge Mr. Miller wanting to leave, since it is doubtful anything as wonderful as the material he got lately would be coming his way again for a while.
I am glad to have the original Billy back rather someone totally new in the role. And as long time viewer of many soaps, you learn to roll with these changes– because in the end the real star in any soap is the STORIES, not the actors.

I hate to see Billy Miller leave, just hope it was his decision and not pushed out the door. Y&R cast is way to big, so many more need to go. Billy Miller is a great actor and he will do well.
Y&R needs to clean up their sets, they look so bad. B&B has nice clean looking sets. Y&R needs to take some of the money they are saving on BM & MS get some paint and new furniture, PLEASE!

Yay! It’s like having 2 great Lucky’s on GH to draw from. Welcome back, David Tom, and best wishes, Billy Miller.

And yes, what was wrong with the old Kyle Abbott? Not quite understanding that recast, or the recast of Noah, for that matter. Actually, they’re all just teenagers at most, and Summer is only 8, so the SORASing on this show is totally out of control.

Wish them both Good Luck and thank the lord up above we did not get an FOJ we have a actor back that created the character. I hope Billy Miller finds what he wants out there he almost did not sign last year so you really can’t put this on JFP. This is coming from someone who loathes the woman.

i wish that yall would please give billy what ever it is that he is asking for. he is such a great actor and i hate for him to leave. yall keep changing the cast members and i’m sure it wont b long yall will end up with a totally new cast if yall keep going

No, no,no, this is wrong and a huge loss. I was never a Y&R fan until Billy Miller, hopefully this will be General Hospitals gain.

NO I’m not happy about this I love Billy and can’t see anyone else playing Billy Abbott no offence to Tom… he is a great actor and all but he’s not the one to play Billy Abbott..

Billy Miller leaving Y&R SUCKS ON SO MANY LEVELS!!!!! Shame on you, Y&R…and ESPECIALLY Y-O-U, Jill Farren Phelps!!!!! More and more, the pathetic, sad and pitiful fall of Y&R continues…………

While I can understand that there will be contract negotiations between cast members & the higher-ups, I can’t help but feel a loss. I am such a HUGE Billy Miller/ Abbot fan, that I am not sure that I will be able to accept David Tom. Yes, I remember that he originated the role, however, Mr. Miller made Billy Abbot who he is.

PLEASE, PLEASE BRING MY BILLY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish someone would make a biographical movie of James Cagney, he really would suit that role. Billy Miller is such a good actor, surprises me they would let him go.

James Cagney please do not put this on Billy Miller a man who hated women slapped them in movies disrespected them off camera may that actor burn in hell!

really? he was quoted……………

I`m sick of carrying guns and beating up women. (1931)

he was a great Actor.

Billy Miller is a very talented young man. Sorry to see him leave Y&R but I wish him well. Soaps are all about recasts so good luck to DT. I hope they write him compelling story to play. We won’t be able to resist him.

JFP has TRULY screwed up witth this! Tom, played Billy as a young boy. Billy Miller portrayed him as a young man with many layers. The chemistry he shares with Amelia Heinle is so great and it sure as hell won’t be there with Tom.

Don’t get me wrong David Tom is a fine actor and he proved that many years ago. But, the character has changed and I can’t see this as a casting coupe.

Billy Miller will be missed and I am sure any smart executive producer will scoop him up. All the best to him!

It seems to me that the y&r is slowly going downhill in these last few months! The story lines never seem to be complete or they drag on. Characters just disappear . Whatever happened to the original families of genoa city ? The backbone of the show! Now billy miller is leaving! Billy and Victoria are the only reason I watch anymore, their chemistry is magic! I have been watching the y&r since day 1. Unfortunately I think you have lost another viewer unless you get your shit together and fast! Good luck billy miller! I hope you will be better appreciated else where!

Don’t like it one bit! One of the few good ones left. Why couldn’t victor the bully leave, The world is trying to get rid of bully’s but Y&R rewards him for his behavior. After Dehlia and now this I am losing interest. Shame on Y&R.

No I want Billy Miller to stay. Sad that he is leaveing. But, at the end of the day you have to do what’s best for you. I will miss you Billy Miller. You are a fantastic actor. I’m pretty sure you will find a better fit for you. 🙁 You will always be Billy Abbott to me.

I want both back!

Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor
The cornerstone of Y&R

Michelle Stafford (Phyllis..
the match/spark that started the fires

–Now– Billy Miller (Billy
He made me smile

I miss; Tucker, Daniel, and Genevieve, also ..

I love Billy Miller, he and Victoria make such a great couple. I will follow what ever Billy does. It saddens me that CBS and TYR couldn’t keep him, but they either kill off the good ones and leave ones like Kyle, Abby, Hillary. I liked the old Kyle and Abby, the new ones suck. I have been watching this show for over 20+ yrs and I do not like the new writers. No romance, fun, comedy, We get jail, hospitals, fighting, sadness, killings. It makes me sad what has become of my favorite show. I guess I better start watching BB since most of everyone was once on the YR. Bye Billy my very favorite.

Go to GH Billy!!

I don’t like the direction the show has been going over the past year or so. Recycled plots, redecorated and redone sets, killing off characters; it’s not working for me. With the exit of Billy Miller, Y&R should consider itself in crisis mode. I’ve watched Y&R since the first episode. For the first time in a long time I’m considering taking a break from viewing. I don’t feel that ‘Can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow’ now.

Right now there are so many things that have me upset with Y&R right now and this is one of them. I warned people that once JFP got a hold of your show that it would go straight down the tubes. People didn’t take me seriously and now look. They have botched Katherine’s death by having Jill do a stupid quest. Let Genie Francis walk out the door. Then again, they may have pushed her out the door. Most recently they made the controversial decision to kill of Delia. The list goes on.

Personally I think that their press release was a complete fabrication. If they wanted to keep Billy Miller they would have fought harder. Gave him what ever he wanted. If he wanted to do other projects, they should have let him. If it was Eric Braeden or Melody Thomas Scott, they would have turn their worlds upside down and hopped on one leg while chanting to make sure that they didn’t leave. How could they not look at his Emmy worthy performance during this past month and not fight to keep him? Well apparently they did. Instead of sending out a press release wishing Billy Miller well, because he is going to be fine, they should have just invited viewers to watch the destruction of a once fine show.

Vent over.

I totally agree Cheryl! It’s like a wrecking ball has been taken to this show. Recycling storylines, not just once, but over and over. For example, how many ‘long lost kid’ storylines are they going to do?! Tucker, Devon, now Dillon. Oh puleeze!

I’ve been watching Y&R since episode one (yes, I’m that old). I remember David Tom as Billy. He was wonderful and I was sad when he left. However, his character was teenage Billy. I remember when Billy Miller took over the role. I couldn’t stand him–because I remembered Billy as the character that David Tom played.

Around the time Billy and Victoria got together my heart started to melt. I grew to love the character and truly appreciate Billy Miller’s acting abilities. He is so multi-faceted and commands every scene he is in. The most intriguing characters are those that are ‘bad’ but you can’t help but like. That’s what Billy Miller brought to this role.

I’m not sure David Tom can do that, but I wish him well. Y&R has been sliding downhill for some time. For the first time in all my years as a viewer, I’m going to take a Y&R break, maybe permanently. Billy Miller’s last air date will be my last day as a viewer. If viewers are that upset, they need to stop watching to let their voices be heard. Believe me CBS would take notice if Y&R was knocked out of its number one spot!

Cheryl…in more ways than one…I APPLAUD AND SALUTE YOU!!!!! And, Cheryl…check this out:
1. Of course, Y&R is going down the tubes. And it’s all because of that fire-breathing soap-zilla Jill Farren Phelps. Also, JFP is nothing but SOAP OPERA POISON…she has TOTALLY RUINED every show she has been a part of over the years. This is what she does. YIKES!!!!!
2. Genie Francis didn’t leave Y&R voluntarily. JFP played a large-ass hand in firing BOTH GF and Debbi Morgan.
3. Towards the end of Katherine’s beautiful memorial service, remember when the show tacked on Paul and Christine’s stupid and nitwit nuptials at the last minute? Of course, that was all JFP’s stupid-ass doing. Yep.
4. More and more, all of these newbie characters are working my nerves too damn much…NU Abby, NU Kyle, Summer’s BFF Courtney, NU Noah, that TOTAL WHACK-JOB Hilary, etc.. In more ways than one…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz aka Snooze-Ville. No Thank You.
5. The DUMB-ASS AND EVEN MORE CRUEL decision to kill off the very beloved Delia. Of course, another one of JFP’s rotten-ass soap decisions. Jill Farren Phelps aka STUPID, STUPID WOMAN!!!!!

Cheryl…girlfriend…I know how you feel. As for the AWESOME Billy Miller leaving Y&R, as far as I’m concerned, the show didn’t EVEN TRY to keep him. TOTALLY UNFORGIVABLE!!!!! More and more, all of this is so LAME LAME LAME LAME. Sad.

Take care, Cheryl. XOXOXOXOXO

Well said, killing off Delia was pointless and lame. I do not believe Adam hit her, and it’s all flimsy circumstantial evidence at best, which you would think Adam’s brilliant mind would know, too. A stupid storyline just to exit Michael Muhney off the show. Can’t negotiate a contract with Billy Miller, so he’s gone, too. Wake up call to Y & R writers: you have let the two biggest draws of your female fans slip away. They are the next-gen Jack and Victor and already as irreplaceable. Tomorrow will end my almost 40 year showmance with Y&R. Tomorrow night I will delete the show from DVR, just like I deleted Bold & Beautiful after the ad nauseum triangle of Hope-Liam-Steffie. Michael & Billy, I hope to see you in bigger & better things. As for the alleged breast fondling, who “lets that happen “multiple times? If a man made that unwanted advance toward my 20-something year old daughter one time, he would be wearing her handprint on his face the rest of the day or a black eye for a week and it would stop right then.

I LOVE Billy Miller, he is such a great actor. I love that big cheesy grin and will miss it!

I haven’t been happy with ANYTHING Y and R has done since losing Katherine! This takes the cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I can’t imagine another guy playing Billy Abbott! I guess it is all about the Money! I may need to change my viewing… I am too old for change! I think Billy Miller has been terrific in the role of Billy Abbott! He makes the show!

I’m totally in the minority here, but for me, this is a good thing. If Billy Miller wants to leave, it’s super to have the original adult portrayer back. One actor does not a show make, and we’re very lucky this worked out. Now bring on Ashley Bashioum!

“…it will give us an opportunity to dig into our archives and use some of those great old Glow by Jabot flashbacks.”

Which will only serve to remind viewers of how good this show used to be.

I am stunned and saddened that Billy Miller is leaving. I loved to watch him every day and laughed at most of his antics! He will be so missed:(

I DO NOT WANT BILLY MILLER TO LEAVE! I couldn’t care any less about Old footage of Mr. Tom CBS gets to use! I URGE EVERYONE TO BOYCOTT THE SHOW FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY in PROTEST! They can cancel the Mr. Tom contract and get Mr. Miller Back asap when they realize WE WON’T LET JFP RUIN THIS SHOW by CHANGING OUR CAST WIllie Nille! We might even finally get her fired in the process too! BOYCOTT Y&R FEBRUARY–No Taping either!!! CBS Gets credit for that! (Hurt them during Sweeps!) We can do this people!!!! BILLY MILLER IS BILLY ABBOTT!

the show wont be the same t think i will boycott the show never liked tom in that role anyway

That is exactly what I plan to do, deleting it from DVR schedule tomorrow night, Jan. 30th. I may boycott February and never come back. My god, the fans could write better than the crap that’s been on the last few months.

I DO NOT WANT BILLY MILLER TO LEAVE! I couldn’t care any less about Old footage of Mr. Tom CBS gets to use! I URGE EVERYONE TO BOYCOTT THE SHOW FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY in PROTEST! What are they thinking? Miller gave amazing performances and they replace him with Tom? No one can take him seriously he is too young Miller is the best choice. Y&R is making horrible choices with casting and will start to lose fans. First Abby, Phyllis, Delia now Billy?! I’m not watching anymore

I will really miss Billy Miller. He is definitely one of the best actors on a show with an amazing ensemble cast. I know he will find further success.

I am also a David Tom fan and think if Miller wants to pursue other interests DT is the perfect choice. He was great as Billy Abbot and I LOVED his dastardly Paul Cramer on OLTL. I’ve seen him in other projects also and I’m sure he will be great.

Just unbelievable what JFP is doing to Y & R.: Same name, different faces.
Billy is a franchise actor, they need him, Billy Miller, to win the fight of cancellation.
How the heck are all the newbies going to increase ratings?! I watch and wonder who they are…New Noah is terrible, same for Summer. Nothing personal, but the previous actors did the jobs well. As someone else said, I have not bonded with the newbies.
DT was good IN HIS TIME. BUT, a new kid on the block came along and like a powerhouse, took over like a storm. Billy Miller has SO MUCH CHARISMA and NATURAL ACTING ABILITY.
It is all bull, of course they could work with his outs, he’s not the centre of every storyline. Victor and Nikki aren’t on every day. They wanted BM gone, no other excuse or explanation, please! They killed a child, now this, I can see how they ARE KILLING THIS SHOW!
We are not watching in my extended family since Delia was killed, and won’t until they bring Billy back, and Ashley, and Phyllis .
Bye the way, JFP must think Steve Burton will take this show to a new level.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) have officially announced on Friday, the full list of nominees for the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

While Thursday brought with it four reveals of the nominees in the Outstanding Daytime Drama, Talk Show Host, Lead Actor and Actress categories (as presented by various entertainment news programs), today’s nominations include all the other categories not previously announced.

The Daytime Emmy Awards telecast is set to be presented live on Friday night, June 7, at 8 PM EDT /delayed PT, on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+. This will mark the 18th time that CBS has broadcast the Daytime Emmys.

In addition, The Daytime Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmy Awards will be presented on Saturday, June 8 at t9 PM ET/6 PM PT and streamed on The Emmys apps and at watch.TheEmmys.tv. The ceremonies will take place at the Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles.

Television icon, Dick Van Dyke has received his first-ever Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Guest Performer category for his touching portrayal of Timothy Robicheaux on Peacock’s Days of our Lives. The nomination makes Van Dyke the oldest Daytime Emmy nominee in history at 98-years-old.  In addition, motion picture and TV star, Guy Pearce, is also nominated as Guest Performer for his longtime role as Mike Young in the reboot of Neighbours.

Speaking of Neighbours, the Australian soap opera also received its first ever Daytime Emmy nomination for Daytime Drama Series now that its a revival can be streamed on Amazon Freevee. In addition, The Young and the Restless iconic, Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) received his first Daytime Emmy nomination in more than 20 years in the Lead Actor in a Drama Series category.

In the Daytime Drama series categories, CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless each scored 12 nominations more than any other show. Leading the acting nominations was B&B, who landed 7 performers in the various categories, a first in its 37-year history.

In a statement, Adam Sharp, President & CEO, NATAS expressed, “We are happy to once again honor the creative talent both in front of and behind the camera of America’s favorite Daytime programs. We look forward to celebrating the icons who enliven the days of audiences across the country.”

Brent Stanton, Head of Daytime, NATAS added, “Producing the Daytime Emmys is a labor of love for all of us at NATAS. The huge popularity of these shows continues to be must-see viewing for their fans.” NATAS also revealed that Lifetime Achievement Honorees, Hosts, Presenters, and Silver and Gold Circle honorees will be revealed at a later date.

The Daytime Emmy Awards recognize outstanding achievement in television programming honoring work in a variety of categories, including daytime dramas, talk shows, instructional programming, hosting, culinary, and legal/courtroom programs. In 2021, NATAS and the Television Academy jointly announced plans to realign the Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards to be organized by content genre, as opposed to program airtime.

The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be produced once again by NATAS and Associated Television International (ATI). Adam Sharp and Lisa Armstrong are executive producers from NATAS, while David McKenzie executive produces from ATI.

Congratulations to all the men and women in front of the camera and behind the scenes for their recognition as we take a look at who will be going for gold come June. Here are the nominees below starting with the Daytime Drama Categories.
