CASTING BOMBSHELL: David Tom Returns To Y&R as Billy Abbott as Billy Miller Opts To Leave!

We tell ya, what goes on behind the scenes of your favorite soaps is even more of a cliffhanger and shocker than the soap itself! Case in point, today David Tom has been announced as the replacement for Billy Miller in the role of Billy Abbot on The Young and the Restless! The biggest part of this casting bombshell is that Tom originated the role of Billy Abbott. David played the role from 1999-2002 and earned a Daytime Emmy for his performance.
As for Miller, reports indicate that the two-time Daytime Emmy winner opted to leave when an agreement could not be reached with the number one soap.
TV Guide Magazine’s Michael Logan first tweeted the shocking news by relating, “WOW! Massive @CBSDaytime NEWS! #BillyMiller OUT at @YandR_CBS and guess who’s the NEW Billy Abbott??? DAVID TOM is BACK! Deets 2Morrow AM!”
CBS Entertainment Daytime’s Sr. VP. Angelica McDaniel followed up with a tweet confirming the casting change stating: “Please join me in welcoming Daytime Emmy winner David Tom back to #YR and @CBSDaytime as Billy Abbott’s exciting storyline continues.” She then later tweeted, “I respect Billy Miller’s decision to move on and wish him great success in his future endeavors.”
As most soap fans know, David Tom is the real-life brother of The Bold and the Beautiful’s Heather Tom (Katie). Heather originated the role of Victoria Newman on Y&R which is now played by Amelia Heinle!

Nobody is discussing whether or not David Tom has curbed his drug problems. Remember, this is the reason he was fired from “One Life to Live” in late 2004.
Is she behind the recent decision to turn off the lights before filming? There may be some great acting going on, but the sets are so dark you cannot see the expressions on anyone’s faces . Annoying!- this isn’t supposed to be Dark Shadows!

Billy Miller is such an amazing actor and excellent “Billy Abbott.” His absence will certainly be missed. I hate that an agreement couldn’t be reached but you cannot blame him for wanting to pursue other acting options if they are out there. I can see why they would go for bringing in someone who has been in the role before b/c it will be hard for anyone to fill Billy Miller’s shoes.

And while I agree with the majority that he doesn’t go with Victoria, he was perfect with the original Mac! Maybe they’ll bring her back! I’ve never been a Villy fan BECAUSE I always thought he belonged with Mac and Clementine Ford was awful!
Totally agree! I’ll miss Billy Miller tons as Billy, but David Tom is the next best thing, hands down. YES – Clementine Ford sucked, but I think Ashley Bashioum is doing something in the non-acting world now. I would love to see her return though!
I think Mac is married to JT, but you are right, they could get back together but that was years ago and this show is just going downhill. Mac didnt even make Katherines funeral.
David Tom is a terrible actor and so unbelieveable. He is not handsome and nothing like Billy Miller. This Billy struggled with his part. How on earth could he have been chosen to replace Miller. Please get someone else for Billys part. Tom’s is awful

I thought the chemistry between Billy and Victoria was deadly as she was always such a downer which extinguished his magnetic spark. I am sorry he’s going but he just might have what it takes to make in in the big time.

Well one thing about this decision is The young and the Restless will no longer be number one hope another show like Days beats it in ratings. He was a big part of this show and they would even promote the show with his and Amelia’s faces on TVGN as they were the favorite couple and fans would also vote them as their favorites on magazines. So I hope he gets treated better in his future endeavors hope to hear Jill Farren Phelps gets fired. The young and the restless has been lousy and him and Amelia were the life of the party to me. I hope Billy Miller see’s all the support he gets from fans and moves on to bigger and better things.
You have your facts mixed up– Y&R was number one long before Billy Miller came to its shores. It’s the truth and this comes from a huge fan of Billy Miller’s. He was so magnetic from day one but Victoria made him duller than dishwater–what a horrible paring they are.

I agree I am not JFP’s biggest fan but Billy Miller has done this the last three years. David Tom was excellent in the role I am just glad they had the good sense to not bring a totally new face FOJ’s for the recast. Peter Bergman has said every time he goes into contract talks he does not try to break the bank. Good advice! I think they got tired of screwing around looked at some old tapes of David Tom and offered him the job. As far as the romance with Victoria it was always off to me since she had been married to Brad Carlton a wide age difference don’t you think.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that their heavy hitters are walking when it’s time for contract renewal since she has arrived.
BM decided to leave. David Tom was great as Billy, everyone should give him a chance! And Billy and Victoria were not the first couple to grace our TV screens, jeez!
I never watched David Tom as Billy Abbott…only been watching Y&R since 2004. I loved Billy Miller in the role and think he is one of the Best Actors I have ever seen on Daytime right up there with Jonathan Jackson and Tony Geary who I also considered some of the BEST.
I really haven’t liked the character of Billy since he married Victoria and became a part of the Newman family. I liked Billy much more when he was menacing and had this push and pull relationship with Chloe. I preferred the character in his beginnings with all his complications and deep issues. In the last 3 years, the character has been more of a laughing stock and an idiot. I still enjoy Miller as a performer but the writing hasn’t appealed to me at all.
I think even though David Tom is a year older than Billy Miller, he looks younger than him so with Amelia being older…and him looking so young, I think this is the end of Villy. That doesn’t bother me at all because I always preferred Chilly. Billy Miller and Elizabeth Hendrickson’s fiery chemistry is what drew me into the Billy character and lit up my TV screen. So, maybe DT looking so young means the show will have to pair him elsewhere. I am not opposed to them testing him with Elizabeth Hendrickson just wish it was Billy and Elizabeth getting a shot at real coupledom on the show again.
I think the storyline will suffer because I know as a fan, I want to see Billy Miller play the scenes where he learns Adam is the driver and takes his revenge on him. That’s important to me for emotional closure from this Delia’s death storyline. However, if they haven’t filmed those scenes, I worry that with the quick recasting all that story will be left up to David Tom to portray and the history or investment just isn’t there for me. So, if BM doesn’t get to play those upcoming story arcs, I will be sadly disappointed.
It will be like Tamara Braun exiting GH, a week before kidnapped Michael was returned to Carly. The scenes lacked the history, connection and fell completely flat for me. However, since JFP was responsible for killing the end of that story with some serious bad timing to enter Braun’s replacement, I can see her doing that here when she brings in David Tom.
I wish Billy Miller the best as I said, he is one of the Best Actors Daytime has ever been privileged enough to have even if only for 5 years. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him, his star is sure on the rise.
I agree with your every word. Yes, Billy was better with Chloe ( I refuse to engage in cutesy soap opera word play for soap opera couples. Is it not enough that we watch them and post on such forums about them? )
Victoria Newman, as played by Amelia, is the anti serum to Rogaine. God, she is a bore and her trying to get frisky with Billy when he was in abject state of grief was rather disgusting.

I respect your opinions, but let me point something out to you. A good friend of mine is a GH fan, but she didn’t start watching til after Jonathan Jackson had left (the first time). When he came back, she was only familiar with the other 2, BUT she said JJ is her favorite Lucky! Keep in mind, JJ’s original Lucky and Greg Vaughn’s were very different, IMO. But even she said he was the best. I did watch when David Tom was on and not only did I love him, but I was heartbroken when he left! The original Billy & Mac are my favorite couple still (tied with Sonny & Brenda on GH). I know you’re familiar with Billy Miller, who I also love, but give David Tom a chance. You could be pleasantly surprised, just like my friend was about Johnathan Jackson. I agree that DT’s Billy and BM’s Billy are very different, but so were the 2 Lucky’s. This isn’t the end of the world or of Y&R. I’d also be elated if they brought back Ashley Bashioum as Mac.

You’re clearly just here to hate on Jill, who has been saving the show and doing great things for the series. And you ARE being close-minded and arrogant in your words against someone whose job is NOT EASY. If fans were in charge, this show would be cancelled in days. Jill has done wonders for the series. I doubt Maria would’ve given Katherine/Jeanne the tribute that Jill has given. Maria would’ve written her into being killed off by someone or over a cliff, and then never heard from again.
Jill and the head writers have made the show character-driven, a much distance from the plot-driven storylines Maria attempted to throw at the fans. So yes, you are being arrogant and close-minded at a woman who is attempting to fix years of damage. During Maria’s reign, I watched maybe 2-3 episodes per week. Since Jill has come into power, I never miss a show and never fast forward through it. She’s fixed the show and made it more what it’s truly meant to be.

Yes gettingrid of Billy Miller is a mistake…he’s a great actor, BUT his role with being married to Victoria has really become sickening…dull really..Hum-Drum being involved with The Abbotts…I’m sure he felt the same way, NOT going anywhere..I’ve watched this show for almost 50yrs. now..It’s had it’s highs & lows & ups & downs..Sometimes I wouldn’t tune in for almost a week & got caught up in one episode…what I had missed..Anyway long time fan & get frustrated like the rest of you..Too many changes happening in the show when I just figured out the other new faces on it that they threw in there..lol..By the way Rita…you might want to use spell check on here…or read what you’ve written before you post it..

No they don’t like I said I am no fan of JFP but this is not her fault I think he pushed a little to hard and it backfired. For those of you who have not seen his work go back and you tube plus maybe we will get some Jill and Billy scenes they were great in the day together when David Tom was playing the part. I really enjoyed Tom when he was on OLTL and played the villainous type…maybe that’s the direction they’ll take the character of Billy Abbott? I’ve gotta say this soap is unrecognizable and I miss the Maria Arena Bell Regime.

Wow…not good news! Sony & CBS need to get their heads out of of the sand and fire JFP NOW! I have waited for the show to return to the glory days of the Bill Bell era, but my patience is tested every day. Y&R is slow, dark and depressing and I don’t see it improving. Billy Miller is an amazing actor and he will be missed!

Well in shock is all that comes to mind. I have been watching this show and the only soap I watch I might add for 30 years now and have seen people come and go and really am sick at this one. Ever since they killed off Don diamond(brad) the writers have been killing off or higher ups have not been agreeing with these stars on their terms and they leave. Just when you get use to a character poof they are gone!
Billy Miller is a great actor and a huge part of this show and I remember David as billy on here but will admit I think Billy and Victoria will be over. The chemistry wont be there any more and yesterdays episode was the proof when Victoria says maybe her dad was right they should take time away from one another.
Think higher ups at the soap better get their heads out of their ass and start rethinking things or they will no longer have the number one soap and they will no longer have fans.

I am shocked, as well, that Billy Miller is leaving. He is a wonderful storyteller and made the audience really feel the pain and agony of what losing a child is like. He has just started in the aftermath of a devastating situation. I have been watching soaps for over 30 years and can truly say that his reaction and the aftermath……so far, has been spot on. I wish him the best and hope to see him in bigger and better endeavors. This is a major blow to Y & R, this they may not realize yet. If they get “Best Soap” this year, it will be because of Billy Miller. David Tom reminds me of something like this……….you lived in a town for many years and when you left you remember it rich and thriving, you go back to that same town 10 years later and you don’t recognize a thing…….poverty and building that are dilapidated. They might as well start planning a funeral for Billy Abbott.

It’s a big loss for the Y&R since Billy Miller is truly one of the most versatile actors ever seen in daytime!!! He is just amazing!!! But I must say, I used to love David Tom as Billy. He is also really talented actor and since Miller opted to leave, I think David was the best choice to replace him!!! It will be a bit different Billy but David had a great chemistry with Peter,Eileen and was also amazing in the scenes with her onscreen mom (jess!)

I think AB retired from acting and is a plastic surgeon! I agree they were good in the day she was the best Mac none of the recasts ever caught on with me the last one was gosh awful.
I am not surprise Billy Miller is moving on, the man has major talent and will be on the big and small screen in no time. I like David but he has a different persona then what Billy Miller had in Billy Abott; Miller made Billy into this lovable bad boy with a wicked sense of humor. David looks super young for his age, I imagine they must be heading in a different direction with the character of Billy Abbott. I do wish both actors the best of luck.

Totalling ruined Billy, she whined he caved. DT is an excellent actor and while BM is good I think Tom is better. Let’s hope time will tell. BM and Jess Walton had no chemistry. It will be good to see her character with a son she seemed to genuinely liked. I just find it Ironic that Angelica Mcd said the same parting crap that she said when the Stafford left.

No offence to David Tom but this situation sucks!!!!!!!!!!!
First of all, Billy Miller has come to OWN the role of Billy Abbott. Him and Amelia Heinle have awesome chemistry and have come to be one of the show’s couples that overcomes many obstacles, most notably the ever-interfering father-in-law from hell, Victor!
I can’t see Amelia having this chemistry with David because he looks too young for her quite frankly. Hell he looks younger than Nicholas and even Kyle, Jack’s (Billy’s brother) son! This is going to be a disaster because it will ruin one of the show’s most popular couples plus Billy will appear as if he is SORAed backwards. Hell he even looks too young to have been Delia’s father.
I have nothing against David Tom as an actor but I just can’t see him stepping back into a role he played when Billy was a TEENAGER and now portray him as an grown man grieving the loss of his daughter! It’s asking me to stretch boundaries too far.
Jill Farren Phelps is an idiot to let Billy Miller get away-I hope either primetime or another soap grabs him fast and makes her woe the day she let him go!

Pop over to TV Guides article Michael Logan has their pictures side to side of the actors David Tom is 35 and actually looks very handsome he has lost a lot of the baby fat he had years ago. It has been 11 years since he played Billy he has grown up I think you will be pleasantly surprised he has a good range for drama. I think everyone is confusing this with the GH Lucky’s and it is nothing like that JJ and GV had at least 10 years age difference that was why it was such a shock for me when they went back to JJ after GV.
The character Billy was born in 1993 so the character should only be twenty and the character Victoria was born in 1982 which should make her 31. They SORAS Victoria in 1991 to 16, which would make her 38. And they SORAS Billy in 99 to 16, which would make the character 30. So either way Vicky has always been older than Billy. But it sounds like they want to take Billy in a new direction, which probably means they will be ending that marriage anyway, so it is most likely a moot point whether this Billy will fit with the actress now playing Victoria. He should just be glad it’s not his sister playing her anymore, otherwise that might be too weird for words.
Hurry GH…grab Billy Miller…then rub it in Y&Rs face!!!

I wish them both the best. Miller opted to leave, his choice, he wasn’t forced out. I wish people would grow up and stop taking these soap operas so seriously. Actors move on, they want more exposure and to do that they sometimes have to jump the ship. It’s not always the producers fault.
So, I want to further fuel the fire with a theory that has already been mentioned before here. Just days after it was announced Tristan Rogers is leaving GH and returning to Y&R, now Billy Miller is leaving Y&R, and was thought to been replaced before Steve Burton’s arrival in January as Billy Abbott. Who wants to bet that giving in a few months were going to get another casting bombshell about a Jason Morgan recast for GH, played by none other than Billy Miller?
THE SHOW HAS CERTAINLY TAKEN A WRONG TURN LATELY> NOT HAPPY WITH THE NEW HEAD WRITER> THEY’VE KILLED OFF ANOTHER CHILD AND NOW LET ONE OF THE BEST ACTORS GET AWAY. Billy Miller just played what will probably be the storyline of his career. He was awesome. And now he is moving on. Like it has never happened in soaps before? A young person wanting to move on? Come on. Seriously? Threats, hatred, fire Jill rants….really? David Tom was the first Billy and a darn good one. His Billy was a nice well adjusted young man until brought back by MAB as a hard drinking hard partying hard living bad boy. At least Phelps went back into the past of the show to find the perfect replacement…and she didn’t hire Timothy Gibbs or kevin McClatchy or John Bolger to play the part. I was being sarcastic there but making a point. She could have easily hired any good looking blonde guy…but she chose to rehire someone with whom the audience has a connection. He is an Emmy winner. It will be awkward at first…for a little while. This is similar to when Jonathan Jackson reclaimed the role of Lucky. After many years of Greg Vaughan playing the part as a man, it was jarring to see the baby faced still looks 16 Jackson in the role. Lucky was in a much darker place than when Jackson had last played him as is Billy. But if Miller has to leave, and he is..then this is the best decision. I hope Tom and Heinle have chemistry.

Miller was great but actors need to act, not be the same character their entire career. He will be a major Hollywood star. I will miss him but, at the same time, am happy the original Billy is the recast.

Going to miss Billy Miller for so long. I think he has been wasted in some of the storylines. Don’t know that David Tom has it.
Honestly, I’m fine with this. Billy Abbott for me is David Tom. I loved Mac and Billy back in the day and I was sad when DT left. BM has done an excellent job with the role in DTs absence but he represented a different version of Billy…it is why, for me, Billy and Mac 2.0 didn’t work. Get me Ashley and Thad again and I will be ecstatic.
A soap does not live or die by one actor. DT is certainly capable of knocking it out of the park in the role he originated! Give him a shot.

Billy Miller just jumped off the daytime equivilent of the Titanic. This show just lost one of oits two interesting actors, Michael Muhney cant carry this sinking ship alone. I just hope when it does go down, Jill Farren Phelp’s caree goes with it. Sony and CBS cheaped out, period.

It’s beyond clear that Billy Miller hasn’t wanted to depart the series and pursue other avenues. And now he’s deciding to do so.
I am highly disappointed that Billy Miller and Y&R could not come to an agreement. I can’t believe they let him walk. At the same time, if he had to be replaced, David Tom is the best option. This is CRAZY.
I don’t remember this guy as billy so that says something. They really need someone intense in this role.
No that just means you were prolly NOT watching YR at the time. This guy made the Mac/Billy SL epic. And he won a Daytime Emmy for it. So if you dont remember the Original Billy Abbott, to me that says something as well.

Hey I was just responding to the way ur comment was about him. Im not some cheerleader for him. I just think if you are gonna scream you’ve been a YR fan for 25 years, but yet you cant remember the ORIGINAL teen Billy who won AN EMMY for his portrayal and played the role for 3 years, that says more about you than him. I mean they couldnt even recreate the Billy/Mac magic after David left. And yes their were some terrible recast after him, but this kid was damn good. I just felt the way you came across as some long term fan, that you would remember the original portrayer. But you dont. Life goes on. Its okay. GOD BLESS back at u.

You’re right, Travis. David Tom was amazing as Billy – the original Billy/Mac storyline was one of the best they had. I’ve also been watching the show for 20 years, and I remember DT’s Billy fondly. In fact, I could’ve been angry that the show changed Billy so much when BM came on because DT’s Billy was never a screw up to the extent that BM’s Billy is.
It’s weird to me how people react with emotion and can’t edit what they are thinking.
Miller’s contract was up AGAIN. And once AGAIN he played hard ball and this time didn’t get what he wanted. To those saying…”give him what he wants”…it doesn’t happen anymore. There are ONLY four soaps left. Those days don’t exist.
I LOVED Miller as an Abbott. He fit in, and did a fantastic job, and I don’t want him to leave. But it’s his decision people.
BUT getting the ORIGINAL Billy Abbott back in the form of Tom is an excellent decision. He’s so great in that role, but it will be a revert back to how he created it. I’m fine with it. It hopefully means a new direction for both Billy and Victoria, and a bigger focus on the Abbotts.
Lastly, no one can tell me that picking Tom was Phelps’ decision. She would have much rather pulled out that stale GH casting guide she uses. So something is going on behind the scenes. I think someone (maybe Angelica via Margo) is “advising” Phelps what she needs to do since there was sooooo much negative backlash over Delia being killed off. Ditto with the return of Rodgers which was a character created by MAB. I think Phelps is now being checked. Or at least I hope so. And I love it.

Totally agree! I’m happy about this. I think BM may have gotten greedy – these people need to realize that they are replaceable (except for Eric Braeden) and get over themselves. DT is a great option; everyone needs to calm down. Also, why does everyone assume that Billy & Victoria is the best couple? I never liked them; not everyone does – surprise, surprise! Ironically enough, part of the reason why I never liked them is because I always felt he belonged with Mac AND although I like BM, he never brought out the magic of the original Billy & Mac.
Bad move Y&R. Billy Miller’s acting is one of the few reasons I have left for watching the show!! Grab him GH!!

‘Brilliant Minds’ Officially Canceled After 2 Seasons at NBC; DAYS Alum Al Calderon, OLTL Alum Teddy Sears and Zachary Quinto Among the Cast
After languishing on the bubble for months, on Friday, NBC handed down the decision and canceled the medical drama Brilliant Minds after two seasons.
Brilliant Minds stars Zachary Quinto as neurology physician Oliver Wolf, who’s character and the series is inspired by the life and books of neurologist. Oliver Sacks. The series focuses on the medical mysteries of the mind, as Wolf a larger-than-life neurologist and his team of interns explore the last great frontier, the human mind, while grappling with their own relationships and mental health.
The final six episodes of what will now be the end of its second and final season were already set to air beginning on May 27, after being pulled off the network schedule in February as viewership saw a steep decline. Brilliant Minds second season became the lowest-rated drama on linear TV viewing, which didn’t bode well fo a network renewal, although it had its hard core fan base.

There are some exceptional notables in the cast along with the talented Quinto that includes Days of Our Lives alum, Al Calderon (ex-Javi Hernandez) who joined the series in its second season as Nurse Nico Silva, and One Life to Live alum, Teddy Sears (ex-Chad Bennett) who plays Wolf’s love interest and fellow physician, Dr. Josh Nichols.
The rest of the talented cast includes: Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Donna Murphy, John Clarence Stewart, and Brian Altemus.
In an ironic twist of fate on Thursday, April 30, Days of Our Lives finally revealed the actor who was Al Calderon’s successor in the role of Javi, when they announced that actor Jacob Martinez had now stepped into the role. Since DAYS tapes ten months ahead of streaming new episode, Calderon left in the spring of 2025, but will be seen in the part for the final part this month, and then on June 20, Martinez debuts as Salem’s new Javi.
Taking to his Instagram with a sorrowful and heartfelt post on the Brilliant Minds cancellation was Teddy Sears who wrote, “Thank you, Brilliant Minds. I got the call today and I didn’t want to hear, but I knew that it would come, You have to be a particular vintage to quote Don Henley from memory, but that’s the line that came to mind earlier today after I got off the phone with our inimitable showrunner Michael Grassi who delivered the news that NBC has cancelled the series”.

Sears continued, “To say that I feel sad to be moving on from these stories, this character, and this cast and crew just doesn’t paint the entire picture. I’m sad, sure. But I’m also deeply grateful that I got hired to play this part, so proud of the stories we told, and the other actors I got to play alongside. I’m excited to see what comes next, what adventures await, and terrified to be without a professional home. A quick and heartfelt thank you to everyone, all over the globe, who found us and found themselves in us, in our characters and in our stories. We wouldn’t have been able to tell them without you. And we still have 6 fresh episodes yet to air, and I do hope you tune in enjoy the remainder of the series. They’re the best we’ve done.”
As he wrapped up his sentiments, Sears signed off with, “The more I know, the less I understand. All the things I figured out I have to learn again. I’ve been trying to get down to the heart of the matter. But everything changes…Thank you, Brilliant Minds.”
The medical drama was created and executive produced by Michael Grassi alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Lee Toland Krieger, DeMane Davis, Jasmine Russ, Henrik Bastin, Jonathan Cavendish, Andy Serkis and Shefali Malhoutra.

‘General Hospital’s’ Jonathan Bennett Receives 3 ‘Critics Choice Real TV Awards’ Nominations for Hallmark Series, ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’
Many things are coming up roses for Jonathan Bennett! On the heels of the news that he is set to debut this month in the role of Joe Fitzpatrick on General Hospital, who is rumored to be a new love interest for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), comes the news that Bennett’s reality series, Finding Mr. Christmas has received 3 nomination for the Critics Choice Real TV Awards.
Bennett’s Hallmark Channel series finds itself in tough competition alongside fellow nominees: RuPaul’s Drag Race (MTV), Squid Game: The Challenge (Netflix), Survivor 50 (CBS), Top Chef (Bravo) and The Traitors (Peacock). In addition, Jonathan himself is nominated for Best Show Host and the series participants as the Best Ensemble Cast in an Unscripted Series.
The Critics Choice Association (CCA) revealed the nominees for the eighth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards on Thursday, which recognize excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms. Winners will be announced online at CriticsChoice.com on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 9:00am PT/12:00pm ET.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”
In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.
It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.
Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?
On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.
As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.
Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.
BROTHERLY LOVE?
Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”
With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”
BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE
Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”
