BREAKING NEWS: Roger Howarth put On-Contract at General Hospital!

Fantastic news for fans of One Life to Live and General Hospital! It was announced exclusively today through TV Line that Roger Howarth (Todd Manning) has been put on on a contract at General Hospital and will be sticking around Port Charles!
Howarth was originally scheduled and taped just a handful of episodes, but Todd will continue on this spring as he escalates his vendetta against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his clan for killing his granddaughter, Hope and destroying his daughter, Starr’s life! Benardrecently told Soap Opera Digest that he has loved working with Roger right from the very beginning and that they clicked well.
So that means that three out of the four One Lifers: Howarth, Kristen Alderson (Starr) and Michael Easton (John) are on contract, and hopefully it will just be a matter of time before Kassie DePaiva (Blair) receives some good news as well. Fingers-crossed!

‘General Hospital’s’ Jonathan Bennett Receives 3 ‘Critics Choice Real TV Awards’ Nominations for Hallmark Series, ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’
Many things are coming up roses for Jonathan Bennett! On the heels of the news that he is set to debut this month in the role of Joe Fitzpatrick on General Hospital, who is rumored to be a new love interest for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), comes the news that Bennett’s reality series, Finding Mr. Christmas has received 3 nomination for the Critics Choice Real TV Awards.
Bennett’s Hallmark Channel series finds itself in tough competition alongside fellow nominees: RuPaul’s Drag Race (MTV), Squid Game: The Challenge (Netflix), Survivor 50 (CBS), Top Chef (Bravo) and The Traitors (Peacock). In addition, Jonathan himself is nominated for Best Show Host and the series participants as the Best Ensemble Cast in an Unscripted Series.
The Critics Choice Association (CCA) revealed the nominees for the eighth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards on Thursday, which recognize excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms. Winners will be announced online at CriticsChoice.com on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 9:00am PT/12:00pm ET.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”
In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.
It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.
Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?
On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.
As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.
Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.
BROTHERLY LOVE?
Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”
With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”
BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE
Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Reveals His Plan to Set Up Chase and Willow to Have an Affair
After the Wednesday, April 29 episode of General Hospital, it’s clear outside interference and other circumstances are set to blow Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) marriage sky high, as Michael (Rory Gibson) reveals his plans to entrap Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and use her relationship with Chase to do it!
In story, Michael dropped by unexpectedly to Carly’s (Laura Wright). A plotting Michael reveals his plan to nudge Willow and Chase into having an affair. Michael hopes it would create both a political and personal scandal, where Willow would lose her seat in congress. In the scenario, she would be having an affair with her ex-husband, while taking care of her supposed disabled husband, Drew (Cameron Mathison), who cannot speak and is confined to a wheelchair, which in turn will look horrible for Willow’s character.
Carly asked does he really want to destroy his cousin, Brook Lynn’s life in the process? Michael goes in on Chase’s holier than thou attitude, and says he is going to set-up the circumstances that would lead Chase and Willow to betray their spouses, and hit the sheets together. Michael swears to Carly what the two of them do is up to them, but he’s going to go on the offense with this.
MICHAEL HAS BACK-UP
Later, Jacinda (Paige Herschell) is talking with Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) at Crimson and how much she dislikes Willow because of what she has done to Michael. Just then, Michael shows up and tells Jacinda privately, he’s figured out a way to fight Willow. Looks like Jacinda might work with Michael to bring down Willow and use Chase as the person to do it!
At the hospital, Lucas (Van Hansis) tells Josslyn (Eden McCoy) that Carly is cheating on Jack, but he doesn’t know with who. Josslyn suddenly flashes back to the moment she found her mother harboring a fugitive, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), in her attic, and as figured out that her mother is sleeping with him. She heads out.

BRENNAN IS ABOUT TO LEARN ABOUT CARLY
Next thing you know, Josslyn has showed up inside Jack’s (Chris McKenna) hotel room at the Metro Court and when he enters his room, he is shocked to find her there. He lays into her for not keeping his distance and that Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) will have no problem killing her if he knows she’s WSB. Josslyn fires back that he is only concerned about that because his relationship with her mother depends on her being safe. But then, she lays the boom, and tells Jack, Well, you’re too late. You already lost her.”
LULU GETS A GLIMPSE OF CASSIUS’ TEMPER
In addition, Lulu (Alexa Havins) sees a different side of “Nathan.” Since she is unaware that the man before her is his twin, Cassius Fasion (Ryan Paevey), he tells her that Rocco (Finn Carr) blabbed that he shot Cullum to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), and now he thinks they should send him away to stop him from talking to everyone else. This concerns Lulu, who rails at Nathan for telling her what to do with her son and that she isn’t going to abandon him. With “Nathan’s” outburst at her on the matter, will she finally get a clue this is not the man she thinks it is?

Yeah, I feel similar. I started watching soaps when i was 13 yrs old. Been hooked ever since.
Next week is Robin’s funeral, FINALLY!!! I hope it’s a memorable tribute, standout for such a important character. Robert better be there instead of chasing a lie!!! I think Luke should’ve used Emma to tug on Robert’s hearstrings so he wouldn’t jump & not Ethan. I mean it’s a lie and he’s a grown man. That would’ve made more sense. But I hope the funeral is outstanding.
Hope they don’t cancel GH. I live in NYC and had the 4:00 p.m. time slot. I don’t see why Katie Couric can’t take that spot. 4:00 to 7:00 pm is a lot of news on a daily basis.
Oprah had the 4:00 time slot, why can’t Katie Couric’s show go there?

Well, usually when someone is put on contract that’s an indicator that the show wants you to stick around, it means they want to secure your services so they can tell a storyline. So to answer your question , which should be obvious, I prefer they have Finola Hughes stick around, then offer roger or now most likely kassie a contract to stick around. In my book she has more to offer then they do, I’m not saying I’m not enjoying their visit, it just contradicts what FV said he wouldnt do so quickly, which was turn GH into OLTL 2.0 .
I am soooo excited. I was hoping for this. Now that Starr has lost her child she will need family to support her. Plus, if they do hook up Starr and Michael, how fun will that be. Because you know Todd won’t like Michael as he is Sonny’s son……LOL

I am so excited about this news! Now I just wish they would change the timeslot to 2 pm. 3 pm is not a good time for me. I am losing soapnet next month so will have to watch online. So I will be counted!!!! Again, this is good news! Don’t screw it up ABC! But before you get me back you will have to bring back AMC and OLTL. I would settle for another crossover between AMC and OLTL.

Roger Howarth is a very good addition to GH………….Him & Sonny will lead to some interesting stories.. They are putting OLTL actors on contract.. Does this mean GH will remain on abc?????? They must think they have a fighting good chance they will…Why put people on contract if they wren’t sure about remaining on abc… I have a good feeling about all this…This is just my opinion…I have this gut feeling gh will go on.. My gut feelings usually come true…Even beetter addition will be Michael easton nt. wk.. And we all know that Victor is stiill alive & that crazy Alicen has him…How that happen I quite don’t understand.. We shall see what happens…

I liked Roger (original Todd), especially with longer hair – even tho I”m not a long hair guy lover – and I really liked Trevor as Todd or Victor or Walker, and then didn’t really like Roger coming back, with short hair as Todd. Now he has new GH hair… I’m not loving it yet. But i’m sure he’ll do a bang up job on GH I’m sure having a contract makes you feel more comfortable in giving it your all.

Victor (or Walker Lawrence) is still alive. As revealed in the ABC finale of OLTL. He’s tied up in Allison Perkin’s apartment.
Love the idea of a teaming of Victor, Tea & Danielle teaming with Todd to take down Sonny. I want Jason to get out of the mob life. {maybe in honor of Robin Scorpio}

I have watched AMC & OLTL for years and been a GH watcher off and on (mostly off) since the 70’s but the last few weeks have been a vast improvement – this news is fanf***ingtastic!!! YAY!!!! I will watch 4-ever!!!

Have to say it’s great news… altho I take “contract” with a grain of salt cuz we still don’t know how long it would be for. We got roped into thinking OLTL and AMC would be put online and then they didn’t, so when I read Kristin said she signed a 3 year contract, I thought ‘i’ll believe that when I see it!’ I hope GH will be around for a long time, and perhaps we can get visits from AMC and more OLTL characters – they’d certainly get more viewers that way.
You are so right, Christy! I don’t trust ABC at all. I hope GH will stay but I want to see AMC and OLTL back as a crossover, 1/2 hour each–somehow, someway. We must keep fighting for AMC and OLTL.
OMG!!!! This makes me so happy:) Thank you, Frank Valentini, from the bottom of my heart. I am crying while I write this. I miss my soaps so much. It is a gift that we have anyone on GH as their OLTL characters. A little piece of One Life lives on. Yipee! I hope that Blair gets to stay as well.
Wouldn’t it be nice if Dr. David Hayward came to town? Maybe Orpheus saved Allan Q or Robin? Maybe Tad Martin could come to town on a PI case? Or, back from Dr’s w/o borders, Jamie Martin is the new resident @ GH? If not, that’s ok. More than anything I’m grateful for the gifts we have been given and hope that it is not ending soon and that GH lives on.
They HAVE to put KDP on contract as well. Todd says he will not stop trying to put them all together again and she is all he ever loved and this makes all those words hollow even for soaps. KDP is a carly like character but she was the original she wolf. KDP rocks and they have a huge following., Frankly I love Roger he is so super cool, but if there is no KDP Blair on GH, not tuning in…. NO BLAIR_NOT THERE.

I am a big opera fan… That is opera diva Aprile Millo…. She Loves OLTL too and Erika Slezak and Kassie, Robin, James DePaiva , Roger, and Tom Pelfrey are great friends of hers. GH has to complete the story of the two Todds and they need to sign Kassie and bring back Genie.

Great news! I’ve been a huge fan of Roger’s for years & I think he’ll really add to the show.The only thing I don’t like is John coming to GH. I think Michael Easton is one of the most over rated and boring actors on tv. I’m loosing some of the real GH cast that I love to add him and am not happy about it.

I read somewhere that Todd’s coming back in May. That leaves enough time for them to resolve the faux murder. My hope is that Todd comes back to Port Charles to get away from all the people that didn’t support him when they thought he killed Victor. That lets everything be resolved off screen and then you don’t have to bring on all these other OLTL characters, which upsets all the GH fans.

Im a general hospital fan and a one life to live fan not a one life to live h8ter,and I am very happy a few characters will move to port charles.todd will be back in may ,he has a contract,hope blair comes back to along with everyone that was involved with the story of 2 todds.its just another story on general hospital ,the writing has improved and the ratings are proving that ,so this one life to live and general hospital fan is loving it, and you wont hear me complain.
I’m a huge OLTL fan. I watched it with my mom growing up, and it has been one of the only shows that I have consistently watched as an adult. I LOVE RH and think he is an amazing actor! I’d watch him on GH, and I watched OLTL and ATWT to see him. I just have seen a lot of the hateful comments on blogs and soap sites that are upset about any OLTL actors coming over to GH.
I heard Victor is in talks with Ron. Barbara t told me that today. I have to get back with her about that, bc I want to know where she heard that at?
All these rumors all over the place. I like to know the source bc I don’t want to get my hopes up for nothing.

great news for roger and gh, maurice benard is the best look forward to sonny and todd going at it, they have great chemistry but maurice would have chemistry with a road sign. love him , cannot wait for michael easton to come to gh and see maurice and steve go toe to toe with roger and michael .
This is absolutely absurd. There has been no news (unfortunately) of Trevor St. John, nor anyone else, coming from OLTL to GH which means the little issue of Todd murdering his own brother, leaving Tea as a pregnant widow and people who loved Victor like Jack and Dani devastated, will pretty much be cast aside. While Victor is alive, psychopathic Todd believes he did murder him and has no remorse for it, but will get off scott-free without a proper ending to that storyline. This is not only horrendous story-telling, but for OLTL fans, this is trying to play those of us who are intelligent audience members as fools.
Something strange happened yesterday and today. Yes, T uesday, I heard Blair say U had Victor all along held hostage. Today, Wednesday, I heard Blair say U suppose to be in jail for killing your own brother…. Am I correct. Im going to have to watch it again on abc.com.
also need to add kassie as well, gh is the best anyway because of maurice benard,steve burton and tony geary so why not add more storyline for them all.
U got it it Susan. I am happy to see someone on here give Maurice prompts., along with Burton and Geary. Yes, Maurice is over worked (mob stories) everyones complaint, BUT its not his fault, its the writer’s. Bottom line, Maurice has a HELL of allot of fans out here, and for year’s carried the show alone on the Brenda and Sonny love story.
I know. Poor Maurice. He should get to do his bipolar story or something other than the mob. But he comes in, does his job, and the majority hates his character.
I hope he gets his way and gets to leave with Brenda and live happily ever after. The very first time I watched GH was back when they were first getting to know each other on the plane. Back when there was Lois and Miguel too.

Congratulations, Roger!!! He is a wonderful actor and he’s always been one of my favorites on One Life To Live. I absolutely LOVED watching him today on GH. He and Laura Wright were fantastic together! It’s been years since I have felt this way about General Hospital. Now, I can hardly wait ’til the next day’s episodes!
They have to bring Kassie DePaiva on, watching her this week on GH was as if a little of OLTL lives on. She’s great.

Great news, such a dynamic actor I also see him giving Sonny something to do besides the loves of his life, mobster with a heart of gold, dimples have been on repeat for years and the guy deserves decent, competent enemies which PC currently has none of. I love that Michael Easton is coming I’m so tired of women fantasizing and dying for a murderer like Jason, which took up 2 episodes.
GH needs to put Kassie DePaiva on contract as well!! While I am happy to see that Roger received a contract to continue on GH, anyone who has watched OLTL for a while is well aware of the chemistry between Todd and Blair. GH is on a mission to improve their ratings, so why not bring on a fan favorte like Kassie DePaiva? She is a fabuous actress whose long term appearance on GH would most definitely boost ratings, because her long time fans (and there are many of us, myself included) would tune in primarly to watch her work her on-screen magic.
I am so excited for Roger and wish him great success. Not being a Blair fan, I’ll be fine without KDP.

Keeping my fingers crossed on the Kassie DePaiva front myself. Todd and Blair are just wonderful together because of the chemistry DePaiva and Howarth have. It only makes sense that if Todd and Starr are in Port Charles, Blair should be too! I think Kassie has been killin’ it this week. It’s been fantastic, and I want more!

Agreed, not Gigi either on GH. I like Gigi, but not that much to see her crossover. No Natalie. Would love Roxy, and agree with you about Tea- her acting abilty, that face, she is gorgeous and has a great body. Tea will get plenty of work. Just playing an attorney on TV will afford her plenty of offer’s BC to play one can be as difficult as being one. ( This I know). Both require acting. I looked up Tea/ Florencia Lozano on Wikipedia back in November and she has done ALLOT of projects elsewhere, as U suggested you have seen her doing.

Michael, your source doesn’t say anything about Michael Easton being on contract. Are you sure he is really on contract like Alderson and Howarth?
I get the feeling that Easton being on contract is just a rumor.
TVGuide confirmed it was a two-year contract for Michael Easton.
However, contracts don’t mean a thing. If the show is cancelled they are out. A contract still comes up due every 3 months.
The only good thing about is a contract is that nothing has been cancelled yet!
Then why does Laura Wright have a two year contract?? I’m sure there are three-month intervals that could allow the show to let the actor go. But not the actor leave.
