Brooklyn Nine-Nine Featuring Ex-OLTL’s Melissa Fumero Picked Up By NBC Following Cancellation By Fox!

After Fox earlier last week cancelled Brooklyn Nine-Nine starring Andy Samberg and former One Life to Live favorite, Melissa Fumero (Ex-Adriana Cramer), the series will live on when they received a very welcomed reprieve from NBC!

When the news broke, Fumero took to Twitter and said, “Whoa what a day! Ok, somehow going to try to sleep. All my love and gratitude again Nine Niners. More celebrating tomorrow and a new #Brooklyn99 episode on Sunday. Sweet dreams.”

So, how did this all come to pass? On Thursday after Fox canceled the police sitcom, NBC grabbed the show and announced late Friday that it was picking up the series for a sixth season. The order for the show will be 13 episodes.

“We got your SIX! #Brooklyn99 is officially coming to NBC!” said a tweet from the network’s twitter handle. In a statement, Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment expressed, “Ever since we sold this show to Fox I’ve regretted letting it get away, and it’s high time it came back to its rightful home. Mike Schur, Dan Goor and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC, and we’re all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best-cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy lineup. I speak for everyone at NBC, here’s to the Nine-Nine!”

So, excited to know the Amy and Jake, AKA Fumero and Samberg sitcom will live on via NBC? Comment below.
