Asked-
”So, what do you think is wrong with Victor? ”

I ‘know’ whatever has Victor down will pass and he will arise.
Victor is named Victor because he is the victor of all his plights.
No worries, the victor will be back to his old self, no doubts of that
((and- Eric is doing a phenomenal job portraying the weak Victor.

As for- Brooks Darnell he is very handsome and Young.
Y&R has been getting back to the ‘young’ side of the Young and the Restless. that has been quite noticeable.

With Mishial/Hillary and Eileen gone a Lot of money is freed to bring in new young characters, that is a good thing.

He is trying to cure him of thinking he is always right ! What a obnoxious character and actor

You hit the nail on the head. In all his interviews you can tell how important he thinks he is. In his confusion he thinks he is Victor!! lol

Eric Braeden has been with Y&R since 1980.
His birth name; Hans Jörg Gudegast
Born during the Second World War April 3, 1941 in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany
Eric Braeden. 76 yrs old.

In 1987, he was appointed, along with Henry Kissinger, Paul Volker, Steffi Graf, Alexander Haig, and Katherine Graham, to the German-American Advisory Board, and in 1991 received the Federal Medal of Honor from the president of his native land, Germany.
(Was awarded the Federal Medal of Honor by the president of Germany for promoting a “positive, realistic image of Germans in America.”)

he was a superb athlete who excelled in track-and-field events. As a teenager, he immigrated to the United States and worked in Texas and Montana as a translator, a cowhand, and a lumber millhand. His athleticism won him a scholarship to Montana State University.

Received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7021 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.

Eric has Devoted 38 years to Y&R / that is half his lifetime to Y&R..
Show the Man respect if not his character.
🙂 🙂

I LOVE ERIC Breaeden IN THIS ROLE. When they went searching for the Actor to play this role, They found it, It’s not the actor some hate, it’s the character and Eric play him very well.

Agree with both statements…Hans is Victor… obnoxious…it’s not the character that is unlikable it’s the actor.

Lovin’ it!

…finally! a character with ties to an existing genoa city family returns! Nate junior should have returned ages ago so its about time! would love to see Olivia return as well especially with Ashley leaving it would be nice for her to lend jack an ear since they go way back and of course visit Neil and the rest of the Winters clan. Ultimate would be a Jack/ Liv/ Neil triangle!

After seeing the interaction between Nate and Hilary, I would immediately think something would be brewing in the future. Unless they actually kill her off, “it ain’t gonna happen”, but if she is replaced, watch out Nat, here she comes, she’s a maneater, she’ll chew you up!

Okay, so Nate is going to come treat Victor. Victor needed to get off GC Buzz yesterday. I think he made things worse.

I think this young man has a very big job ahead.
Is he a surgeon as well, because that’s what it will take to remove Victor’s head where it has been stuck for so many years!

I don’t think we need a lot of new characters. We have some great characters already on-screen. Just write good story for them.

Not loving the poker story though. Need to cut that stat.

No new characters needed….write better storylines for the better actors involved. Right now ….horrible writing for Winters family, Phyllis, Billy and good grief did they have to bring back Summer???? I find little to hold my interest these days!

My idea for a story involving this character is that we get to see his mother Olivia where they’ll have some stuff to do in story but as we go along, it comes out that Drucilla is found. we need resolution for that character. I was never happy with how Dru was written off the canvas.

I like the idea of rebuilding the Winters family. After Abbott and Newman, Winters has become legacy. I miss the Drucilla-Olivia-Neil-Malcolm quardrangle. Y&R did sexy and drama right there. And oh, remember Mamie!

Those days were the best. With Ashley and Hillary gone..sony needs to make amends with Victoria Rowell and bring Dru back stat. Genoa city needs a strong leading lady to stir the pot. NuPhyllis isnt the same without Michelle Stafford and Jill is m.i.a. Dru, Olivia and even Nina would fill the void. Christine and Avery would also balance the heroine role as well.

I agrre……

Another reason to use my FF button!

Y&R will be just fine.
New actors/characters will be brought in to Create New Stories.
And like many were moaning and bitching when Mishial/Hillary came to Y&R ”we don’t need New we the Old !..
Now, those same viewers (I assume) are sad she is leaving.
It is the same old bitch fest when some new comes and the sad when they leave.
I’m looking forward to new characters to enter.
New stories are always welcomed, by me 🙂

Loved little Nate, and hope to like the grownup one as well. I liked his dad, and also Olivia, but couldn’t stand Dru, which is OK, because she loved herself enough for everyone, who didn’t. Now, wondering who they will pair this hunky guy up with. Please not the latest version of Summer!

Scott Bryce, ‘As the World Turns’ Craig Montgomery, Passes Away at 68

Published

UPDATED: Heartbreaking news to report this Sunday evening, July 13. Two-time Daytime Emmy nominee and beloved soap veteran and television actor Scott Bryce (ex-Craig Montgomery, As the World Turns) has died at the age of 68.

Lucie Arnaz Luckinbill, Bryce’s longtime friend and former co-star announced his death via her Facebook under an hour ago (in a post that has now been deleted, but see below). Arnaz expressed, “a wonderful actor, a beautiful man and a terrific husband and father, Scott Bryce, passed tonight. I am going to miss his eyes, his smile, his wit, his brain, his intelligence, his talent, his bravery, his laugh and his hugs. Dearest Jodi, dear Jackson, he’s watching over you now from a place of pure joy and will always be your guide. But, I hate these goodbyes. Rest in peace you marvelous, magnificent man”.

Previously, Bryce was diagnosed with Stage 3 esophageal and stomach cancer back in October of 2024. He had credited early detection as a vital part of his journey. He had underwent medical treatment and had since reported being “on the mend.”

SCOTT BRYCE’S RUN AS CRAIG MONTGOMERY WAS MEMORABLE

However, Lucie Arnaz shared on her Facebook post in the comment thread section when asked, that Scott’s cancer had returned. She has appeared in two projects with Bryce, the Indie film, The Pack and the TV series, Sons and Daughters.

Jackson Bryce, Scott’s beloved son, shared a beautiful tribute to his father after his passing on his Instagram where he shared that, “What began as stage three esophageal cancer eventually spread and became brain tumors that took his life away from him.”

Scott was the son of actor Ed Bryce, who was best-known for his role on the soaps as Bill Bauer on Guiding Light from 1959 to 1983.  On As the World Turns, Scott had a significant run as Craig Montgomery, and at one point was initially paired on-screen with Meg Ryan (ex-Betsy Stewart). Bryce had appeared on the CBS soap opera from 1982–1991, 1993–1994, and 2007–2008.

AS THE WORLD TURNS CO-STAR PAYS TRIBUTE

On As the Word Turns, Scott’s on-screen romance was with Finn Carter, who played Sierra Esteban was a fan favorite for longtime viewers.

Carter expressed her grief on Instagram following the news of Bryce’s passing sharing, “My sadness knows no bounds. My gratitude for Scott knows even fewer. Scott was the best husband a woman could ask for. As an actor he was fearless, kind, generous and forever looking for ways to grow. And what a sense of humor! It is so difficult to write this as I can not stop crying . Scott , you were a gift that I did not deserve and one the world was freely given . All of my love to you – ah, just can’t stop crying. See you soon ( not too soon) and look forward to recalling our days on As The World Turns . You patiently taught me so much . XO”

It was during his initial run that Scott received two Daytime Emmy nominations for his performances as the manipulative Craig Montgomery. Bryce was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in both 1986 and 1987.

Bryce exited ATWT in February of 2008 and by December of that year, Jon Lindstrom, (Beyond the Gates, General Hospital) was brought in as the final Craig from 2008-2010 as the soap went off the air. Over the years, Hunt Block and Jeffrey Meek also played the role of Craig.

FROM OAKDALE TO PRIMETIME

In addition, Scott appeared in numerous episodic comedy and drama series throughout his career with roles in: Murphy Brown, The Facts of Life, ER, Law & Order, Reba and Sex and the City and Blue Bloods, The Blacklist, Homeland, 30 Rock to name but a few. On the soaps, Bryce also appeared on One Life to Live in the role of a psychiatrist, Dr. Ed Crosby, from 2006-2007.

Scott is survived by his wife Jodi Stevens and their son, Jackson.

Michael Fairman TV will bring you further updates on this developing story.
