Camryn Grimes Officially Put On Contract By The Young and the Restless!

Great news this afternoon was shared by Camryn Grimes who after being killed-off The Young and the Restless years ago as the beloved Cassie Newman, returned this year as bad girl Mariah!
According to a tweet from the talented actress herself, “You spoke, they listened. Officially under contract for #YR!!” Immediately following her tweet, fans and colleagues have been offering Camryn their congratulations.
So, it looks like Mariah is staying around for quite some time to come in Genoa City! And the looming question is still to be answered, why does Mariah look identical to Cassie? 51st Daytime Emmys: Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa Receive Talk Show Host Nominations
On Thursday, nominations were announced in the Outstanding Talk Show category for the upcoming 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo, All My Children) coming off his first-year as co-host of ‘Live” with real-life wife, Kelly Ripa scored his first Talk Show Host nomination along with Ripa who has been nominated previous times.
Joining Mark and Kelly in the race are: Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, The View
Kelly Clarkson, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell, Sheryl Underwood, The Talk and
Tamron Hall, Tamron Hall.

As previously reported, The Talk is coming to its end when its upcoming 15th and final season ends in December of 2024.
The 51st annual Daytime Emmys are slated to be broadcast and stream live on CBS and Paramount+ on Friday night, June 7th
Look for the full list of nominations to drop on Friday morning at 12 noon ET/9 am PT.

51st Daytime Emmys: Outstanding Daytime Drama Series Nominations
On Thursday, the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards revealed nominations in several key categories via four entertainment news programs: Access Hollywood, E! News, Extra and Access Hollywood.
Three of the four announcements were major categories in the field of Daytime Dramas.
The nominees in the Outstanding Daytime Drama Series category are: The Bay, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, Neighbours and The Young and the Restless.

General Hospital won this category last year, and has the most all-time wins for a series in this category. For the first time, the beloved Australian-based soap opera, Neighbours is now eligible for competition due to its reboot which streams on Amazon Freevee.

The 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be handed out in ceremonies in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ on Friday night, June 7th.
Previous categories announced tonight via the entertainment news outlet included: Lead Actor and Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

The nominations were revealed for the 51st annual Daytime Emmys. in the prestigious Lead Actress in a Drama Series category by Entertainment Tonight.
This comes ahead of tomorrow’s full list that is set to be unveiled at 12noon/9am PST on Friday.
In the running for this year’s Outstanding Lead Actress are Tamara Braun (Ava, Days of our Lives), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke, The Bold and the Beautiful), Annika Noelle (Hope, The Bold and the Beautiful), Finola Hughes (Anna, General Hospital), Cynthia Watros (Nina, General Hospital) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, The Young and the Restless).

Previous winners in this category include GH’s Finola Hughes, Cynthia Watros and Y&R’s Michelle Stafford. Days of our Lives nominee had won in the Supporting Actress category twice in her career.

She’s a good actress and the show goofed when they killed her off, I’m glad she’s back on contract now and I’m looking forward to see the story progress, it’s the most interesting plot right now and I’m sure Mariah’s connection to Ian will be very intriguing to see play out
Hope she turns out to be a twin of Cassie! Sharon had twins when she was a teenager and one was adopted out, possibly Sharon’s Mother(Doris) knew and has kept it a secret and it will come out now!
Actually Cassie was given up for adoption- she came back into Sharon’s life as a little girl when her caretaker Millie got too old to take care of her when her adopted mother had abandoned her. So it is feasible she had twins and were adopted by two different families.

We all have ‘doubles’ in the world. So, not even with plastic surgery, it is possible. And not twins please in a plot to come. It too old a writer’s device on daytime dramas.

I am so happy she is staying. I hope it will turn out to be that she is a long lost twin of Cassie’s. The chemistry between Nick,Sharon and Mariah is electrifying. She is the issuing link for them. I think it would make a great story line!

I love this actress. She can play any part they give her. Congratulations Camryn. You may be playing a bad person right now but I have a feeling after being around Sharon & Nick you’ll change. Your not all bad because you got off the plane to see if Sharon was alright. At last something good is coming on to that show.

The character Cassie died in May of 2005, so you haven’t been watching the anniversary for OVER a decade– it might have felt that way to you, but it hasn’t even been 10 years in real time. LOL.

Congrats to Camryn for getting a contract.I’m taking this to mean that the show has big plans for the character of Mariah.Plus it wouldn’t surprise me if it turns out Mariah is Cassie’s twin by Sharon or maybe another daughter of Cassie’s biological father and that would make her and Cassie half sisters.
I am thrilled that she is back and was so unhappy that they had killed off her character. She can spice things up some because some of the story lines have become redundant. Welcome Back!

They need to spruce up the story. I do not get Mariah and Tyler together. Granted, there’s no chemistry between Abby and Tyler so it’s no different with Ty and Mariah. Another lackluster story.
I think the issue is Tyler…. he is easy on the eyes but there’s no excitement or passion…he READS his lines and that’s about it.

I am very happy to see that Camryn is back. She’s a great actress and deserves to be back on the show. I am so hoping that she is the unknown twin of Cassie. Even though she’s a bad girl now Y & R has usually done a good job of redeeming the bad ones and I hope she’s one. Look how they redeemed Michael Baldwin, Kevin and Adam. Hopefully there’s one more coming.

Best decision since they killed her off for no reason. She is the only actress in her age group that can act.
I think it’ll be revealed that Mariah is Frank’s daughter but by another woman.So that means Cassie and Mariah were half sisters.Plus then the show could bring on Mariah’s mother later.Plus Sharon not been Mariah’s mother could open up romantic possibilities between Noah and Mariah down the line if the show goes that route.
love the Mariah/ nick/ Sharon/ storyline. riveting. Adding Ian and tyler/abby keeps the momentum going. rederic williams is a young shemar moore with so much potential, I hope camyrn can bring out the best in him.Ian is the best new real villain since Sheila carter. if only Carmine can come back somehow!!!
She is one of the quadruplets that Sharon gave birth to! The other two show up during November sweeps!!! That’s not all! Sharon really isn’t Sharon! A switch was made during the delivery!! Sharon’s twin sister is who we see. Sharon gave birth to triplets and all tho cousins are identical!!! Sharon is in an underground cell at the ranch!!!!

Loving camryn grimes as faux cassie/mariah!!! FINALLY JFP DID SOMETHING RIGHT. Tthis girl needs to have a contract and stay on y&r, this storyline is the only one carrying the soap right now! Agreed that if only MM can come back along with BM and a decent phyllis we can have a great canvas.
Camryn is such a refreshing actress to the show lately.. So glad she’s getting a contract. Itt was much needed. They should have even brought her back sooner. I’m bracing myself for Nuadam….. No one can replace Muhney, and they know that so just bring him back already!!! Missing miller, sttafford and soon chloe 🙁 Honestly they should bring back some of the old characters at least for guest appearances like they do with ashley.
