In case you came late to Fairmont Crest, and the drama of the upscale Dupree and Richardson families, now is your chance to catch all the action from the very beginning of daytime’s newest soap opera, Beyond the Gates.

As viewers head into the long fourth of July weekend, the much-heralded series will air encore presentations of its premiere week of episodes that originally aired the week of February 24, 2025.

While all-new episodes of CBS daytime’s The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless will air the week of June 30th, Beyond the Gates will have a full week of encore presentations marking the first time it has done so on broadcast network television. Currently, Beyond the Gates had aired and streamed 83 episodes on CBS and Paramount+.

In addition, the newly-released promo for Beyond the Gates is emphasizing that the series is part of the “CBS super soapy summer” line-up while showcasing its sex appeal, drama, and deceit with matriarch Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) introducing the audience to some of the key characters during her discussion with husband, Vernon. You can check it out below.

So, if you have never seen ‘Beyond the Gates,’ would the fact that you can catch the first five episodes make you tune-in next week? What do you think about this new soapalicious promo? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

I don’t see this a a great idea unless the network doesn’t feel it’s up to its potential taking us out of it for a week isn’t the best decision in my opinion

Still no one will watch.

I love beyond the gates, but I am sick of Eva’s mom.

I agree this storyline is running to long

I watch every episode. I love the show (but not the theme music—I mute that) and look forward to every new ep. Looks like I’ll have a week off now, lol.

Bring Ted back.

I am ok with the new Ted.

I just wish they’d age him a bit with makeup.

Show’s eye candy at best, otherwise

A great show! A long time coming, history in the making! AMC and OLTL were the first daytime soaps to incorporate people of color and it’s so great to have a soap after all these years with a black family as the base of the show. Sistas was a good try for Tyler but it didn’t cut it for me and I lost interest during the 6th season. The acting was horrible.

I have tried several times to watch this show. I think they introduced too many story lines until we could get to know the characters. My biggest complaint is that most (not all) actors over act. Everything is such a calamity. It just gets on my nerves watching. Maybe 39 minutes would have eased us in little better.

I LOVE this show…I would remind folks that any new production often has kinks in the beginning or scenes where the chemistry seems off–I saw the same happen in another one of my all-time favorite shows, Star Trek TNG. If you watch the first couple of episodes, they’re robotic/almost cringey. As the show progresses, the cast finds their groove and the rest is history…the same will happen for BTG!
To some of the comments about Ted, I actually prefer the new Ted. He is younger in appearance, but we all know ‘Black don’t crack’ so it’s spot on IMO! The storyline that is so annoying is Ashley and Derek…his acting is bad even for a soap. He was a diversity hire anyway, so hopefully he’s written off and we focus on the purpose of Ashley being on the show: the Dani and André love triangle. Martin is also pretty bad/has zero acting chops, I don’t know that his character can ever be additive, but he is central to the storyline, so I just have to tolerate his character. The actress playing Hayley should slow down with the botox and fillers/she looks different each episode .
The rest is all good and the positives far outweigh the negatives: Eva is GREAT/she really is doing a fantastic job with her storyline, as is Dani, Vanessa and Nicole. Leslie is maniacal and quickly owning her role as the one we love to hate LOL.
My parting comment is this: B&B has similar, wildly dramatic storylines along with its fair share of bad acting, yet I don’t see the same complaints…hmmm…
If you’re eager to hate this show, I question why (although we already know why…)
#BlackISBeautiful #btgsoap

I love it! Tape it on days that I cannot watch. Few suggestions.. need another person to play Ted, hope that Leslie doesn’t get away w everything, need another Andre, need more handsome male actors, none appear to be tall, except for Bill

Ashley Jones is the newest addition of CBS daytime’s Beyond the Gates.  The veteran soap actress has posted some teasey Instagran stories revealing the intel; especially her latest wearing a Beyond the Gates emblazoned robe while in her dressing room.

As to who Jones is playing that is still hush-hush. Ashley follows other former daytime notables to Fairmont Crest which have included Greg Vaughan (ex-DAYS, Y&R, GH) and Jordi Vilasuso (ex-Y&R, AMC, DAYS and GL).

A spokesperson for Beyond the Gates confirmed the news to Soap Opera Digest expressing, “We can confirm Ashley Jones will be appearing in Beyond the Gates.” It should be noted: Beyond the Gates does tape four months ahead of air.

Soap fans first met Ashley when she played Megan Dennison on The Young and the Restless (1997-2000). She then went on to The Bold and the Beautiful to play Bridget Forrester in her initial run from 2004-2010 and since then making recurring appearances throughout the next 15 years. In addition, Jones appeared on General Hospital in the role of Parker Forsyth from 2016-17.

Earlier this week, Beyond the Gates was renewed for two more consecutive seasons its 3 and 4th by CBS, giving the youngest soap on the air, a big confidence boost. The series debuted back on February 24, 2025 as the first hour-long Black-led soap opera, and which tapes in Atlanta, Georgia instead of Los Angeles, California.

CBS Renews ‘Beyond the Gates’ for Seasons 3 and 4

Published

Congratulations are in order for daytime’s newest drama series, Beyond the Gates. Today on April 15, the soap opera was officially renewed by CBS for two more seasons, its 3 and 4th.

The network revealed the renewal pick-up at a press briefing led by CBS Entertainment President, Amy Reisenbach. That show of faith takes the soap through the 2027-2028 television and streaming season, while the soap currently continues to air its second season.

Beyond the Gates creator, head writer and executive producer, Michele Val Jean took to X following the news of the pick-up and expressed her gratitude, sharing, “So this happened. Thank you to everyone involved, from the network to the crew, for the support, belief, hard work and dedication everyone has poured into this show. Beyond grateful.”

While Deadline was the first to break the news of the young soap opera’s latest accomplishment, Val Jean clarified that Tracey Thomson who is listed at the bottom of the article as one of the series executive producers along with Sheila Ducksworth, Julie Carruthers, Leon W. Russell, Derrick Johnson, Anna Saalfeld and Lela Coffey, is more than that.

Val Jean explained Thomson’s full involvement with Beyond the Gates, noting, “A credit egregiously missing on this article is Tracey Thomson’s. She’s been by my side cranking out these shows since episode 150. We just did 400. She’s my partner, my co-head writer and an executive producer and she deserves all the credit.”

Beyond the Gates is set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington, DC, in one the most affluent African American counties in the United States; a posh gated community with winding tree-lined streets and luxurious mansions to call home. At the center of this community are the Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty. But behind these pristine walls and lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered. And those who live outside these gates are watching closely. These are the places where our characters live, love, work and play. Those who have “made it” and those who haven’t are all trying to navigate life … and some with more grace than others.

The cast is led by the Duprees played by Tamara Tunie, Clifton Davis, Karla Mosley, and Daphnee Duplaix along with Brandon Claybon, Mike Manning, Trisha Mann-Grant, Ambyr Michelle, Colby Nixon, Arielle Prepetit, Sean Freeman, Timon Kyle Durrett, RhonniRose Mantilla, Keith D. Robinson. Jon Lindstrom, and more round out the cast.

So, excited to hear Beyond the Gates is keeping on keepin’ on with two more seasons coming your way after the completion of its current season? Let us know via the comment section. But first, check out our recent conversation on the Michael Fairman Channel with series stars Tamara Tunie, Sean Freeman, Clifton Davis and EP Sheila Ducksworth via the comment section below .
