THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Preview: Is This the End of Cole? Will it Push Claire Over the Edge and to the Dark Side?
This week on all-new episodes of The Young and the Restless, things are not looking good for Cole (J. Eddie Peck), who is suffering from legionnaires disease, and in turn, his fate could just be the fuel that could tip Claire (Hayley Erin) back over the edge, since she was already having issues with Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) being in the French Riviera together, and in her recent scenes with Holden (Nathan Owens).
Cole is in his hospital bed with his daughter, Claire, and Victoria by his side. The mother/daughter duo are very concerned about him. For Claire, she was robbed of hardly any time with her real father, since she was raised by Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) and stolen from the hospital shortly after Victoria gave birth to her.
In the Y&R video preview, Cole says, “I needed to see you both again. I’m so glad that you made it back in time.” Claire asks, “In time for what?” Coles sadly responds, “To say our good-byes.” Is this the end of J. Eddie Peck’s return run as Cole, in a part he initially played from 1992-1999 and then made his return in 2023?

Meanwhile, Cane (Billy Flynn) has secretly returned to Genoa City and is waiting to meet someone at Crimson Lights. In the twist, the person is revealed as Holden (Nathan Owens) who was initially the faux Damian (Jermaine Rivers). Cane says, “I trust you managed to keep our little arrangement under the radar?” Holden responds, “I promise you that no one suspects a thing.” What are they referring to?
Then, back in the French Riviera, all of Cane’s guest are still stuck there and Devon (Bryton James) has a conversation with his ex, Amanda (Mishael Morgan), and shouts, “Maybe he (Cane) wanted to get us all here so we would scramble around trying to guess what he’s up to, when, in reality, he is just distracting us!” Did Devon hit the nail on the head?
Now below, take a look at the official Y&R spoilers for the week of June 30-July 4th.
Monday, June 30
Diane warns Kyle about Audra, Chance confides in Abby, and Lily forces Amanda to come clean.

Take a look at what’s to come this week on Y&R below.
Now let us know, do you think this is the end of Cole Howard? Do you think Claire and Holden could make an intriguing couple, given how they recently connected? What is Cane really cooking up? Share your theories via the comment section.
I care about Victoria in this…not Claire. Victoria loses the man she loves yet again </3…but AH always crushes these types of scenes.
I’m amazed at how dumb this story line is. You don’t think anywhere in this part of France, they might have a landline telephone???
And who write nonsense like…”“I needed to see you both again. I’m so glad that you made it back in time.”
“In time for what?”
“To say our goodbyes.”
OMG that’s the best they can do??? 5th grade writing at best. These actors deserve so much better!
How did Cane get back to the states when they’re all stranded. If I ever hear Dumas name again, i’ll scream
I don’t much care about the Cole storyline. I feel awful for Victoria losing yet another man she loves and Claire losing the dad she just recently found. Both Amelia and Hayley will knock their scenes out of the park.
I want the Dumas storyline over and done. BF will never be Cane to me; he’s always going to be Chad DiMera because he played in the role so long. Why not just bring Daniel Goddard back?
This show really, really needs to pick it up. Quickly.
Well, thankfully Daniel Goddard was NOT available. He was a terrible actor, and I’m pretty confident that he still is. Had he been available and returned to play Cane again, I would have stopped watching.
so agree.
agree with all.
Is Victoria chopped liver? Why no mention of her in this story? She’s the one losing her lover & Amelia has two Emmys.
