Love isn’t just in the air, love is on the air as CBS Daytime celebrates Valentine’s Day with themed episodes of The Talk, The Price Is Right, Let’s Make A Deal, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful!

The romantic week action starts this Monday February 11th through Friday February 15th on the CBS Television Network! Here is what to look for below on your favorite CBS Daytime soaps and programs!

On The Young and the Restless the #1 daytime drama for 24 years, Valentine’s Day will be filled with unexpected twists when a blizzard hits Genoa City on Thursday, Feb. 14 (12:30-1:30 PM, ET; 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, PT).  It may be stormy outside, but sizzling with intrigue and romance inside.  Nikki reveals a life-changing secret, Neil wants to get more serious with Leslie, Phyllis questions her future with Jack, Cane and Lily’s romantic anniversary plans take an unexpected turn, and Chloe pressures Chelsea to come clean with Adam.

On The Bold and the Beautiful, worried that her past actions will negatively affect her future, Dayzee is lovingly comforted by her hunky husband Marcus and her step-baby Rosey, on Thursday, Feb. 14 (1:30-2:00 PM, ET; 12:30-1:00 PM, PT). When Rosey goes to sleep, Marcus breaks out the roses and the romance.  New parents Bill and Katie want to put her recent bout with postpartum depression and his steamy kiss with her sister behind them. However, they have different visions of how they’ll spend the evening!   Eric pays Taylor a surprise visit with romance on his mind, but when he arrives it is he who is surprised.

On The Talk, daytime television’s fastest growing network talk show, will feature special Valentines’ Day segments each day Monday, Feb. 11 – Thursday, Feb. 14. (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; 1:00-2:00 AM, PT/CT). On Monday, Feb. 11, sex therapist Jill Blakeway will discuss how couples can recharge their libido as part of “Talk Takeaway” relationship series. On Tuesday, Feb. 12, lifestyle expert Kristan Cunningham will showcase several Valentine’s Day gift ideas the whole audience will go home with and viewers at home will have a chance to win on TheTalk.com. On Wednesday, Feb. 13, relationship expert Paul Carrick Brunson will provide dating advice as part of the “Talk Takeaway” series. Finally, on Thursday, Feb. 14The Talk will feature a full show dedicated to Valentine’s Day, reuniting iconic TV couple Meredith Baxter and Michael Gross from “Family Ties.”  In addition, Chef Nigella Lawson will cook a fun romantic meal that viewers can make at home.

On The Price Is Right, daytime television’s most-watched program, celebrates the romance of Valentine’s Day by inviting couples to “Come on Down” together on a special episode, Thursday, Feb. 14 (11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00-11:00 AM, PT).  And to make sure that no one is fighting over prizes, each pair of lovebirds will play for prizes that the couples can enjoy together, such as his and her designer watches, sunglasses and clothing, “date nights” for a year of movie tickets, flowers and dinner, and a romantic trip to Paris.  Couples who make it to the Showcase Showdown will have the opportunity to bid on prizes, including a diamond pendant, a pair of iPads and, since Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be complete without something sweet, a “chocolate” colored car.

On Let’s Make A Deal, with host Wayne Brady, celebrates Valentine’s Day with an all-expense paid trip to Paris and Valentine’s Day themed prizes for singles and couples, including a  $15,000 cash prize, on Thursday, Feb. 14 (check local listings). Other themed prizes will range from cars and scooters to a ski trip and a vacation in New Orleans.  Zonks are still a vital part of the show, even on Valentine’s Day.  Notable Zonks that traders will need to avoid are Zonk candy, Zonk gorilla cupid, Zonk corn dog and a Zonk broken heart.  The Big Deal of the Day promises to be memorable as the total value for one lucky trader is over $28,000.

So soapers will you be tuning into the big blizzard storyline that hits Genoa City? What relationships come together or split apart on B&B?  The Talk’s special episodes?  Let us know what perks your interest for Valentine’s Day week?

The blizzard that hits Genoa City will be interesting. I will definately watch Y&R

love Sharon and Adam together! team Shadam baby ! give them a son already!!!!!!!!!

Drucilla and Neil and Sharon and Adam or Nick best super couples of all time #Y&R

Awful rumor that Chelsea will have Adams baby! NOOOOOOO! I want Sharon to have Adams baby! WTH writers!!!…PLEASE get rid of Chelsea and Victor so tired of them! 🙂

Are you kidding?

I want Adam and Chelsea back together 🙂

Thankyou we love Sharon and Adam together. Loved the kiss they shared. Marriage and a baby for them!

Eric and Taylor? No, thank you.

Let Eric have a meaty storyline that is about dealing with grief, involving his children. And maybe something compelling, corporate, a plot that builds and twists. What about politics for a change of scene?

As much as I loved Adam & Chelsea on Y&R, I’m enjoying watching Chelsea come into her own. As for B&B, I am expecting that Steffy will miscarry. If so, I hope neither Steffy or Hope end up with Liam. Put this terrible triangle away already! You know it is time when two of the three are just coming off selfish and the bad girl is coming off the most likeable and adult of the three.

I agree with you, Gillian – I hated Chelsea when she first appeared and as written by the previous regime. I’m liking her rising independence streak as written by the new writers – Adam wasn’t there for her when she miscarried their child and she deserved better. However, that event triggered all the good things happening to her now.

Y&R looks VERY interesting.
B&B needs to end the triangle storyline. As far as Dayzee’s past, looking to see how it plays out!

Definately do not think it’s right to have Eric pursue Taylor. No way. As for the “triangle”, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! It’s so tedious and boring. No more Liam/Steffy/Hope. This has been going on way too long.

Sick of the tiangle and I think most of us who try to still watch this show feel this way. No,No, No, Taylor and Eric are sickining and we have been there and done that . Can we see something fresh? They need more cast members too. I can’t see this soap going much longer without something new and not the same old tired thing. Maybe politics would be a good diversion. Eric definately needs to have a grieving process and it is way to soon for him to move on now with anybody. Now would be a good time to have Jackie to come back as she is georgeous and has fashion savy and is not a Forester or Logan lol. Anybody new would be a welcome addition to this soap.

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Layoffs Include 20-Year VP Comms and Talent Relations Veteran Eva Basler

Eva Basler, who served as the longtime communications executive for Bell-Phillip Productions’ The Bold and the Beautiful has exited the long-running soap opera after more than 20 years.

For over two decades, Basler was a key member of the behind the scenes team at the CBS daytime drama series. Eventually, she earned the title of VP Communications and Talent Relations for Bell-Phillip TV Productions, where she was in charge of publicity, marketing social media and more.

According to Deadline, Basler was one of several B&B employees who were quietly laid off recently from the company and that as a beloved member of the team, “worked tirelessly for the organization, even through illness.” In the last few years, Eva has been going through a difficult health journey, where the cast and production team had rallied around her.

In fact, Basler co-authored, along with Brad Bell (executive producer and head writer), The Bold and the Beautiful: In Celebration of Twenty Years on Television, a photographic look at the history of the soap released in 2007 for its 20th anniversary.

EVA BASLER’S IMPRESSIVE WORK IN TELEVISION

Before her long run at B&B, Basler’s TV credits began with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, where she served as a publicist for the annual Oscar telecast for over 10 years. Later, she was invited by the producers of the inaugural SAG Awards and telecast to create and write their official rules. Her contributions to the industry also included her role as the Awards Show Consultant for the SAG Awards, where she oversaw the competition and managed the selection of third-party public relations firms.

In addition, Eva has been an active member of the Television Academy since 2000 where she currently serves as the Governor of Daytime Programming and has participated in the Executive, Primetime Awards, Daytime Awards, Budget, Governors Ball, and Creative Arts Committee, plus she chairs the Membership Committee. Basler led the Governor’s Award Committee for two consecutive years, during and was member of the National Awards Committee for NATAS, which manages among others, the Daytime Emmy competition,

Before coming to The Bold and the Beautiful, Eva was the publicist for the defunct NBC soap opera, Passions from its series launch in 1999 all the away through its conclusion in 2008.

In January 2024, Basler started a three-year term on the NATAS Board of Directors, making her the only person to serve simultaneously on the boards of both the West and East Coast television academies.

Upon learning the heartbreaking news of Basler’s exit, Cassandra Creech (ex-Grace Buckingham, B&B) took to her Instagram and shared, “This goddess…thank you Eva You see me. Beyond her immense gifts, she is someone who treated me with the utmost kindness and respect from day one. Working with someone of her caliber and character is a rare privilege, and her warmth at CBS meant the world to me. She is going to be a massive loss to the daytime community, where her presence always elevated the work. While this chapter is closing, her extraordinary talent ensures that whatever she does next will be brilliant. I am entirely in her corner and cannot wait to watch her next move. Ya’ll give this woman her flowers.”

So, share your thoughts on The Bold and the Beautiful’s decision to part ways with Eva Basler during their recent round of internal company layoffs, given her long-running tenure with the soap via the comment section below.

Spencer Pratt, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Guest Star and Reality Show Notable, Holds Second Place and Poised for L.A. Mayor Runoff

Published

on

By

As of Wednesday morning June 3, Spencer Pratt (Rich, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Hills et al), who is running for the mayor of Los Angeles, is firmly in second place behind incumbent Mayor Karen Bass in the primary election. Pratt has a comfortable 30% of the vote, ahead of City Councilwoman Nithya Raman at 22%. Bass has 37% of the city’s vote.

In Los Angeles, if no candidate receives more than 50% of all votes cast in Tuesday’s primary, the top two finishers move on to a runoff on November 3rd. The Democratic Bass has already achieved enough votes for the run0ff. Now, it’s a formality to sit-back and wait for the Republican Pratt, till all the votes are counted before he can officially be the runoff.

Pratt told KTLA, “I literally could not be more excited. I got in this because as a citizen I felt like my city failed myself, my neighbors, my family. Mayor Bass has allowed the city to become covered in potholes. Then there’s the moms who want to be able to go to the parks and not see anybody shooting up fentanyl with their pants off.

PRATT CRITICAL OF MAYOR OF LOS ANGELES KAREN BASS

The reality star has been critical of Bass when she was MIA during the LA wildfires where he lost his Pacific Palisades home. It was back in January that Spencer made it clear of his intention to throw his hat into the ring in politics:  Spencer expressed, “I’ve been in the public eye most of my life and there isn’t any dirt you can find on me that hasn’t already been aired. Seems like the only thing people don’t know is my voter registration, so here go: I registered Republican in 2020 and never changed it, and I wasn’t going to change it now just to check a different box. This is a non-partisan race – there will be no D or R next to my name. As Mayor, I will not serve either party. I will work with anyone who wants to help the City. No labels necessary.

FROM REALITY TO SOAP STAR TO AN LA MAYORAL CANDIDATE

Pratt rose to notoriety first appearing in 2005 as a friend of Brody Jenner on the reality series The Princes of Malibu, a series which Pratt, then co-created and executive produced. Later, in 2007, he joined the cast of The Hills, where he dated and eventually married Heidi Montag with whom he shared two children. Both he and Montag previously appeared on The Bold snd the Beautiful back in April of 2025, when they played guests at a Forrester fashion show.

B&B welcomed back reality star as Rich, when he appears on the January 28 episode in scenes with Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) and Laneya Grace (Electra Forrester) as Steffy and Electra.

So, what do you think about Spencer Pratt’s bid to become the Mayor of Los Angeles? He would follow a long line of “celebrities” who eventually made into public office.

ONE LIFE TO LIVE MAIN THEME SONG WITH VOCALS

However, One Life to Live fans remember Bryson’s voice as the singer on the the 1985 new modern theme song, (since many of the soaps of that time were going to more vocals in their opening title sequences), where they took the previous instrumental version of their title sequence and adapted it as the main theme. That theme song ran for seven years on the ABC daytime drama series from 1985-1991. In fact, Bryson appeared on One Life to Live in 1985 to perform the main theme song.

In addition, Peabo returned to ABC daytime when he appeared on All My Children in 1992, Bryson’s song “I Found Love” was used to for the love story of Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) and Dimitri Marick (Michael Nader) and received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 1993 for Best Original Song.

That same year, Bryson would make a guest appearance in Pine Valley, where he performing a rendition of “Tonight I Celebrate My Love” with Tonya Perkins (Livia Frye), at Livia’s and Tom Cudahy’s (Richard Shoberg) wedding reception.
