Today on NBC’s Days of our Lives, its a heartbreaking day for WilSon fans as Sonny and Will exit the canvas as they leave Salem for Arizona, and in the process that means this is the final episode of Freddie Smith (Sonny) and Chandler Massey (Will).

In honor of his final airdate and their long history together on the show, Chandler’s on-screen mother, Alison Sweeney (Sami), shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram about her admiration, respect, and how much she will miss Massey on the NBC daytime drama series.

Alison expressed: “I’ve been so lucky to get to work with @therealcmassey over the years @nbcdays . Chandler, you’re smart, funny, charming and supportive. You bring all that empathy and energy to every scene and I just can’t begin to tell you how much it’s meant to me. Every scene – especially the hard, emotional ones (aren’t they all 😭or 🤬or 🤯? 😂😂) you were ready to commit to each moment and help make our work the best it can be. I am so lucky and grateful you took on the role of Will.”

What was your favorite moment between Sami and Will over the years? Let us know via the comment section below … and what you thought of Alison’s thoughtful words about Chandler.

I would welcome Chandler Massey back as Will in a heartbeat. That’s it. That’s all. Especially over Camila Banus as Gabi.

Heartbreaking to have been deprived of so many Horton-Brady family scenes with Will in recent years. Alison and Chandler are beautiful together. Fans want to continue to see them onscreen as mother and son. And now Sami and Lucas both will be feature characters for the next year, without their fan-favorite son?? Ah well, I appreciate the heartfelt sendoff today. It was something. Finally.

We’re going to miss him too. I wish they’d bring Will and Sonny back.
