DAYS big event: reunions, surprises, mystery and tragedy ahead!

As we have been reporting NBC and Days of our Lives are letting viewers know that the September 26th airshow will be a significant one in Salem history. Not only because it marks the return of soap legends, Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn, or, that new head writers Marlene McPherson and Darrell Ray Thomas scripts kick into high gear, but also because NBC is now touting the big yet-to-be uncovered big event as something huge stating, “The occasion promises to be a historical one, filled with reunions, surprises, mystery, and tragedy. Incredible… even by daytime drama standards.”
Below is the official NBC Press Release heralding the return of Salem’s John and Marlena and more!
“DAYS OF OUR LIVES, NBC’s longest-running scripted television series, embarks on a new era of romance by bringing back two of its most beloved characters, Deidre Hall (“Marlena Evans”) and Drake Hogestyn (“John Black”). Deidre has starred as the adored Dr. Marlena Evans on the show for 35 of its 45 years and is recognized as one of the biggest icons of daytime television, while Drake has appeared alongside her for 25 years as half of one of the biggest super-couples in soap opera history. Together the two have had four weddings, raised a family together, and survived paralysis, amnesia, false deaths, and mind-control, all while representing the idea that true love and family conquers all.

Executive Producer Ken Corday has promised to refocus efforts on romance and core family values and initiated its transformation with the appointment of a new head writing team, Marlene McPherson and Darrell Ray Thomas, and a new executive producing team, Greg Meng and Noel Maxam. The new direction includes telling more contemporary stories based on the solid foundation of the DAYS history of family, romance, and drama. Ken Corday commented on the renaissance of the show, “We are thrilled that Deidre and Drake are rejoining the show. I know their return will excite loyal fans and intrigue new viewers. We are gearing up for some amazing cast surprises and guest stars visiting Salem in the fall, launching a grand event airing on September 26th.
Hall and Hogestyn have remained a part of the “Days family” by participating in the ten-city book tour for “Days of our Lives 45 Years A Celebration in Photos,” a photo book authored by Meng that celebrates the show’s historic 45 years on television. “At every stop on the book tour, families of fans told us how much Marlena and John meant to them,” commented Greg Meng.”
If you have ever tuned-in to the soap opera genre over the last 50 years, and witnessed some of the greatest romances, drama, classic and outlandish storylines of all-time, you would have seen Deidre Hall smack dab in the middle of it as longtime Salem heroine, Dr. Marlena Evans.
It was 50 years on this date, June 21, 1976 that Hall first appeared on DAYS on NBC which was its home for 57 years before it moved to its current streaming platform on Peacock in September of 2022.
In Hall’s first episode she was introduced as a psychiatrist treating Mickey Horton (John Clarke) at Bayview Sanitarium after he suffered a complete mental breakdown. Mickey learned that his brother Bill Horton (Edward Mallory) was the biological son of Mike Horton (Wesley Eure) with his wife Laura (Susan Flannery) and that he had been lied to for years and years. From that moment on, the rest is television and soap opera history. Days of Our Lives put Hall front and center.

There were so many heartbreaking and shocking story twists involving the beloved Marlena. One of the first was the historic crib death of baby DJ (Don Jr.) in 1980, Marlena’s infant son with Don Craig (Jed Allan). The story had never been told on daytime television and Hall’s performances received accolades from TV critics to fans when Deidre received thousands of letters from grieving mothers who had gone through the same thing in their own lives.
DAYS also brought Deidre’s twin sister, Andrea Hall Lovell to the show as her on-screen sister Samantha, who had a grudge and even locked Marlena up in a sanitarium and took her place! Fast-forward and in 1982, DAYS launched the Salem Strangler story where everyone believed Marlena was his next victim, only it turned out to be Samatha. Jake Kositchek (played by Jack Coleman) was revealed to be the actual serial killer.
Later, Deidre would assume the role of Marlena’s look-alike, Hattie Adams in 2004, once played by her sister, Andrea. Over the years, Hattie has come back to Salem and caused trouble giving Hall a chance to play a different type of character, then the always upstanding Marlena.

THE LOVES OF MARLENA
Deidre Hall struck gold with all her leading men: from the late Jed Allan, to Wayne Northrop as Roman Brady, and of course, her enduring love story with the late John Black played by the iconic Drake Hogestyn. In fact, Marlena’s 1986 wedding to John (who was believed to be Roman at the time) remains a favorite of fans to this day.
TOP MARLENA STORYLINES OF ALL-TIME
While the list is long, here are several that were some of the memorable during Deidre’s five decades in Salem!
The Possession (1994- 1995)
Considered one of the most ambiguous, outlandish and unforgettable story arcs in soap opera history, then Days of Our Lives head writer, James Reilly went there! Marlena was possessed by the devil! That included; the demonic eyes, hissing at father John (Black) the priest, morphing into creatures, and the classic levitating in her bed! It became a cultural phenomenon and cemented Deidre Hall’s status as a daytime television legend. Just ask Ryan Gosling!

The Affair with John Black (1993)
John and Marlena’s forbidden love could not be denied and they had passionate affair, while she was still married to the real Roman. Problem was her daughter, Sami (Alison Sweeney) caught her mother having sex with John on a desk that changed Sami forever.
The Salem Stalker Mystery (2003-2004)
In a shocker, Marlena was revealed to be a serial killer who bumped off several Salem favorites residents who were all alive on the island of Melaswen (spelled “New Salem” backward). Turns out, she was manipulated and gaslighted by Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) to do the “killings” and had no memory of her actions.
The Pier Scene (1991)
This remains Michael Fairman TV’s all-time favorite Deidre Hall moment, which featured some of the best acting in the storied careers of both Hall and Drake Hogestyn.
In the story, a presumed-dead Marlena returns after four years. One foggy night on the pier, John is alone, and Marlena steps out of the fog to reveal herself, and is reunited with the love of her life. You can watch it any year, any decade, and in any moment, and it will have you reaching for the hankies again and again. (best music score fo a soap scene of all-time too!)

Kristen’s Secret Room Reveal (1997)
Marlena was caught in Kristen Blake’s (Eileen Davidson) elaborate web of lies, when she was held hostage in a secret wine cellar/room until John managed to track her down, leading to an iconic on-screen reunion. The classic catfight between Hall and Eileen Davidson was one for the ages.
It should be noted that Maison Blanche, Queen of the Night, Possession, Aremid and Lady in a Cage were all a part of classic DAYS storyline and all featured Hall at the epicenter of it from 1993-1996.
THE RECENT YEARS OF MARLENA
In recent years, DAYS brought back the possession 2.0 storyline under then head writer Ron Carlivati in 2021 where the devil leapt back in Marlena after taking advantage of a frail Doug Williams (the late Bill Hayes)
In 2025, viewers watched the end of the love story of John and Marlena, as John succumbed to injuries sustained in an explosion saving a vial of medication needed to bring Bo (Peter Reckell) back to life. Marlena has been a widow on-screen since June of 2025 as Hall as portrayed the good doctor struggling with her grief and to move on with her life since his death.

One story that never goes away is Stefano DiMera’s (the late Joe Mascolo) obsession with Marlena, his “Queen of the Night.” Even in death, Stefano is toying with her from the great beyond with the mysterious chess set and the missing “pawn,” that he had gifted John and Marlena in his will. The mystery is currently unfolding on all-new episodes of Days of Our Lives.

Al Calderon Reflects on ‘Major Chapters’ Coming to an End on ‘Days of Our Lives’ and ‘Brilliant Minds’
It’s been a bittersweet time for Al Calderon. The talented actor/singer/songwriter has watched from his vantage point to roles he loved so much come to their conclusion for different reasons.
In a heartfelt message posted to his Instagram story on Saturday, Calderon took a moment to share how grateful he was for the opportunity to play Javi Hernandez on Days of Our Lives, and nurse Nico Silva this year on NBC’s second season of Brilliant Minds. Currently, Brilliant Minds has two more episodes that will air on June 24 and the series finale on July 1.
Calderon expressed, “As I sit here reflecting on this lovely Saturday afternoon over the last two years of my life, I have two major chapters closing that have been part of my life every day for the last two years. We have Brilliant Minds. Our last episodes are wrapping up, and then my last scenes aired yesterday as me as Javi on Days of Our Lives.

“I’m just unbelievably grateful for the chance and the opportunity to be a part of something so much larger than me,” continued Al. “I (will) love Days of Our Lives forever, my family. Thank you for supporting me and supporting my decision to take the leap of faith and believe in myself and, and tell other stories. You know, it’s never goodbye. It’s always ‘see you later’ to me and just leaving with love and leading with love.”
Al concluded with a special mention to some very important people, the fans: “Thank you to the fans and the support from everyone, the lovely messages. So this next chapter, hopefully it’s not a dragon, hopefully it’s a gold coin.”

Calderon’s journey on-screen on Days of Our Lives began in October of 2024 and concluded this month. In one of his last appearances Javi was asking a favor from Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) before bumping into his ex, Leo (Greg Rikaart). In story, Javi has a new romance with Gus (Michael Ocampo), while fighting his feelings for Leo. The role of Javi will be played starting on June 30 by Jacob Martinez who takes over the role.
NBC decided to cancel the Brilliant Minds, after it split up the airing of its second season which began in the fall of September of 2025 and the back-half started airing after a long break this past May. Calderon joined the medical drama staring Zachary Quinto for the new season, which sadly was its last.

Next week, Days of Our Lives welcomes back fan favorites Colton Little (Andrew Donovan) and Christopher Sean (Paul Narita) when they reprise their roles for an upcoming special episode which contains Deidre Hall’s 50th anniversary as Marlena Evans.
Circle Monday, June 22 when the married couple comes back to Salem. Paul is the son of Marlena’s beloved and late husband, John Black (Drake Hogestyn). Andrew is the son of iconic couple Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) and Kimberly Brady (Patsy Pease).
According to the official Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of June 22-26, Andrew scolds Cat (AnnaLynne McCord). Let’s remember Andrew is ISA. Meanwhile while Marlena thinks back on her fifty years in Salem, Paul arrives back in town.

ANDREW AND PAUL
Christopher Sean began playing Paul Narita back in 2014. He has come and gone from the show over the last decade. He was last on-screen back in November of 2025, when Paul arrived back in Salem for the dedication of the Tom Horton Free Clinic as part of the Days of Our Lives 60th anniversary celebration.
Colton Little, first began playing the all grown-up Andrew Donovan in 2022 on the Peacock limited series, Beyond Salem: Chapter 2. Little eventually moved to the mothership and Days of Our Lives in 2023. He was last seen on the soap opera back in March of this year in scenes with Peter Porte (Dimitri Von Leuschner) and Greg Rikaart (Leo Stark).
In story, Andrew and Paul tied the knot in front of family and friends on June 24, 2025, which followed the heartbreaking funeral of Paul’s father, John Black, who had passed away several weeks earlier from injuries sustained in an explosion.

Michael Fairman TV also confirmed the romance exclusively of Colton Little with former General Hospital actor, Adrian Anchondo (ex-Marco Rios) at the end of December of 2025.
Anchondo shared at that time, “I reached out to him (Colton) when I got the job on GH. We knew of each other through mutual friends; so I knew of him for a long time. I started asking Colton about what his experience was like on soaps and asked about SAG health insurance, etc. We met up one night and were hooked from then on.”

Not interested in what days will be doing after 9/22. Its bye bye for me and many Crystal Chappell’s fans. Adios!
That’s fine, more for me.
Me too! DAYS need REAL fans who show REAL support, not fair-weather ones. I can’t wait for this nu-old-DAYS. I want this whole revamp to succeed and for DAYS to be on top like it should be.
Crystal’s fans are REAL fans. Her fans have followed her from DAYS to OLTL to Guiding Light back to DAYS and have sat through her absolutely horrid storylines including “don’t tell Daniel” and have paid money to see Venice as well as buying Venice gear to support it. Many of her fans also purchased the DAYS book just to go see her at a book signing. She has supported DAYS by going to countless fan events and putting some of the actors in her webseries. In the two years Crystal has been on, DAYS has done nothing to pull me in as a viewer. Instead, the show has consistently disrespected one of my favorite actresses for the last two years with some of the show’s worst possible writing. I’ve been begging for DAYS to pair her with someone worthy of her talents, like Jennifer or Nicole or EJ. I grew up on DAYS during Carly’s first stay, so DAYS has a special place in my heart and I hope to see some of the actors/actresses on Venice or The Grove, but Crystal, not DAYS, has earned my fan loyalty, so if she isn’t on the show, I’m not watching it.
Then don’t let the door hit you where the Good Lord Split ya! Crystal Chappell is not the saving grace of Days. She is also not the ONLY character on the canvas, nor even an important one to many of the fans. I feel like she was brought on, expected to bring in droves of ratings and failed. You can blame the writing, sure it sucked. I however don’t care for her style of acting and after the twitter debacle, the actress herself.
And Deidre Hall & Drake Hogestyn are? If my memory serves me correctly it wasnt that long ago they were given the heave ho because the ratings were on such a huge slide. So how are they expected to rise the ratings now? And yes Crystal Chappell was brought on to raise ratings and she did. Carly paired with Bo dislodged Bo and Hope as the favourite couple. That’s a fact. If it wasnt for atrocious writing and Corday fear of investing in something interesting, the ratings would have stayed up. The fact of the matter of Crystal Chappell can act the socks off anyone on Days. That’s been proven over the past week. There has been not a single thing to interest the viewers Crystal Chappell brought back to Days to stick around after the 22nd September which is unfortunate. If watching Peter Reckell bored to tears doing the same thing he has done for 25 yrs, more power to you. Reality is he came to life the day Crystal Chappell walked through the door. That passion has since left the building. So enjoy your “nu-Days”. For me its noting but the same rubbish that made me turn it off 15yrs ago.
Days is notorious for their casting decisions. I feel that the biggest mistake they ever made was hiring CC the second time around! I have never cared for her acting on either Days or GL. Sorry, I feel that she is not the best actress ever! I would rather watch paint dry than watch her tremble and snot all over my screen. I have watched Deidre and KA and felt chills from their acting. With CC I just want to fast forward!
It is YOUR opinion that fans won’t tune in after CC leaves. I, along with many other fans will be GLAD for the Carly free show. I want them to get back to the heart of Days and put the Higley chapter behind us true fans. So leave, go pay to watch CC in her web shows and leave Days to the lifetime fans. We don’t need the fairweather fans anymore! Me I will revel in the nu-days. I do find it funny that you along with the rest of us fans have no idea what will be going on, but since your fave got the heave ho you are not even giving it a chance. Had I done that when MY faves were off the air, along with all the other Jarlena fans, S&K fans, Shane and Kim fans, Lumi fans, Shelle fans, etc, your CC wouldn’t have had a show to come back to. Its the true fans that keep a show going. Just look at AMC and OLTL. They will be continuing on thanks to the TRUE fans.
I’m excited… but I hope this “big event” is not another Bo & Hope wedding/marriage vow renewal. Love them as a couple but let’s NOT watch them do it again. I know Steve is at Y&R now but sure could use a Mary Beth Evans return/storyline soon!
It’s Bye Bye for me as soon as Nadia Bjorlin is gone.Same for all her huge fanbase.Because she does have one of the biggets fanbase on daytime:Chloe,Broe,Phloe,Danloe,Luloe,Carloe,Quinloe …Huge mistake lettibg go of Nadia Bjorlin,even if it’s just temporary.Huge mistake,.
Im so HAPPY John Marlena Jack Carrie and Austin are coming HOME,
now please bring Bryan Dattilo/Lucas Horton back HOME to stay till the end of Days.
I watched it again when they brought back Steve and Kayla, and stopped when they dropped them…the off again on again is so annoying.
Would love to see Ejami actually be given a chance because they have never had one! When James and Alison are in scenes together it is electrifying and there is undeniable chemistry. I just wish that TPTB saw this too!
They both are such phenomenal actors that it is such a waste to not use that connection that they have. I know I for one would love to see EJ and Sami work together at rebuilding a relationship in addition to standing up to both the Dimeras and Bradys, just not sure if the new writers see what I see in their potential stories. Too bad really because there are numerous angles and story lines that EJ and Sami could have if just given a chance but no one has ever had the courage to do that!

I agree 100%. The reason I watch DAYS is because of EJAMI and the last year or so, I havent been bothered to watch as that awful SAFE is pimped. I am so happy the vets are back but I still want EJAMI to be given a chance. I am sure the ratings will skyrocket if that happened.
I too love EJami! They are dynamite together, sparks fly, the heat reflects off tht television screen when they are on together! Maybe the new writers will see that and finally write them together! There are legions of us out here in tvland waiting and hoping for that to happen! They have their little kids to think of – they need their mother and father united as a family! Let’s all hope that happens!
I agree. Tired of Safe. Liked EJami although I don’t go along with Sami shooting EJ and other violence she has done towards various people. Sami used to be my fave, but with Rafe double storyline I have Sami OD.
SO, SO HAPPY about Deidre & Drake’s return!!! will be great to see Christie & Patrick together again, and am very excited about what awaits us!! personally, I see no use for the Chloe character, nothing personal against Nadia, but she, along with Lucas and a few others, haven’t much to do in Salem. In fact, Chloe no longer has any familial ties in town, so it befuddles me as to why Nadia is being brought back in the near future…?

Not happy about their return…I was bored with them on their last come back. I say keep the characters we currently know and love and spice up their story lines instead of bringing back the boredome.

So what?Do you need to be part of a core family to be a core character?Chloe has a huge history on the show ,the biggest fanabse of the show and is av ery rich and complex character,there is so much to write for her,…she is needed on the show….I really hope she will be back very soon…the show will suck without her..I won’t be watching if she leaves…I’ll be gone with her.
Ummm, Imane, no disrespect, but I SINCERELY doubt she has the biggest fan base of the show. Again, not disrespecting her or her fans, as this is my own opinion. Nadia is beautiful yes, but a multifaceted actress she is not. If fans leave because of her departure, then so be it. Hundreds of fans if not thousands will be returning to witness John, Marlena, Carrie, Austin and Jack to return to the new/old days.
As for Chloe, she isn’t an essential character to me. She is not interesting and plays the victim way too much for my taste.

Jiohn,Marlena,Carrie,Austin idn;’t ahve to suffer DH’S desrtruction for tehir character like Chloe did and now Jack is.So yes maybe their fans will tune in at the begining,but if the writing sucks ,they will tune out.They can bring back whoever they want,if the writing sucks,there is nothing that would save this show.They lured Nadia back into the shwo in 2007.She brought a lot to the rating until DH took over and totally detroyed Chloe and ignored her history.Most of Chloe’s fans aren’t watching this crap anymore and want the real Chloe back.You like it or not she has the biggest if not one of the giggest fanbases on this how.Itw a sthat fanbase,teh Broe/Phloe triangle along witn Shelle,that saved the show in 1999
Again, Imane, No disrespect, but Broe, Phloe, shelle, etc. did not alone save DAYS in 1999. It is a CAST of Actors/Actresses that worked together to save Days.
I am sorry, but Chloe was the victim in high school of pranks, mean girls, etc. Then she was mistreated by Phillip, leading to the faux rape charges. Then she was the ONS queen, but its always someone elses fault. Never, I just can’t keep my legs closed!
I also feel that you WAY overstated the Nadia has the BIGGEST fan base in daytime thing! I have never seen the posts, pleadings, FB posts, etc. for her that I have seen for Bope, Jarlena, Jack/Jen, etc. I am not saying she doesn’t have fans, just that you are overestimating her fan base size!
I also take offense to anyone saying that one actor/actress saved the show from anything! I can honestly tell you, in my large group of soap friends, we each have our favorites. But none of us would think to say, oh, Hope saved Days! or Jennifer saved Days. Because its a combo of things that save them!
No disrespect Angela White but youve actually contradicted yourself. You stated previously that you believed Crystal Chappell was brought onto the show to raise ratings and failed to do so. But now your say the show is bigger than one actor/actress – youre stating the shows highs and lows are due to the entire cast. So which is it?
I do not believe I contradicted myself. I DO believe that CC was brought in to “save the show and bring in ratings” However, due to the HORRIBLE storyline and the fact that they shoved her down our throats in too many awful storylines, she flopped. I also feel that it wasn’t ONLY her fault, as the writing was AWFUL for every character and many LONG TIME fans would never support the destruction of a legacy couple such as Bo and Hope for the pimping of another character.
The only reason I continued to watch during the CC times was for the other characters who I still had a vested interest in. So yes, I feel that CC was not the savior of Days. However, if we had gone off the air, I would have blamed the Head writer, the management and many others, before I blamed the actor! And as much as I am a Hope fan, I will never say that giving her back the leading lady role she was born to play saved Days either. So yes, I think CC was brought on for ratings, no it obviously didn’t work, since ratings have been horrible! Yes, I think the entire cast makes the show and if it has highs or lows its a combination of all things. I feel that NO one actor or actress can make or break a show.
The fans don’t want Chloe gone.They want THE REAL CHLOE back.So listen to the fans please.
Again, no disrespect, but it was never CHLOE that save DOOL singlehandedly. It is a compilation of things that makes a good or bad show, not one exceedingly beautiful woman with really poor storylines. Chloe was interesting as Ghoul Girl and a teenager, however her return rendered her useless in my eyes. I will continue to disagree that Nadia has the MOST fans ever! Seeing as how Matt Ashford has websites devoted to bringing him back. Deidre Hall is in the very FABRIC of the show for well over 3 decades and those LIFETIME fans are the ones that have saved days, not one actor or actress however poorly or brilliantly written.
So I am sorry that we don’t agree that Nadia is the greatest actress in the world. She is a sweet person and I wish her nothing but luck, but I will be grateful not to watch her walk of shame after yet another disastrous one night stand!
Check again.In 1999 the show was dying.Then they brought Chloe,Philip.Shawn.Belle,Brady,Mimi….and with them brought a totaly new audience and that’s what saved the show.And that’s when we had one of the most amazing love trinagle on this show Broe/Phloe.Chloe had a huge impact on Days,that’s a fact.
You don’t like Nadia’s acting…fine ..it’s your opinipn…as far as I am concerned ,she is one fo the bests.She never overacts,all the emotions show in her eyes,body language and voice.She doesn’t overdo,like many actresses….
On thing we agree on:The writing for her sucks since her return in 2007…that’s not the real Chloe and that’s one of the main reasons the show is in trouble.Because the writers don’t have any repsect for the character’s history and past,they write them totally out of character,so the fanbases aren’t happy.You see Chloe’s fans don’t want her out of the show,they want the real Chloe back,they want a chance to see the damages caused by the writers to Chloe’ since her return fixed.
I liked Chloe better when she was a teenager. She actually had a brain, which was a refreshing change from mindless teeny-boppers like Belle and Mimi. But when they brought her back a few years ago, she was just another dumb bimbo who didn’t seem all that concerned about the fact that her husband was missing.

I am cautiously optimistic. I’m very happy that they’ve brought back vet and concentrating on the Hortons & the Brady’s again, it’s about time. Character-driven stories are what I’m looking forward to. But there’s a hole whre Mary Beth Evans and Stephen Nichols should be on this canvas. Again, yay for all the returns. But without Steve & Kayla, I’ll feel some emptiness. They’re an enormous part of that canvas and should be there. I know Stephen Nichols is on Y&R, so he’s got a job, I get it. But can we get a Kayla sighting or two with a mention of Steve and she doing well off in Africa or wherever? I’ll even take the Mickey Treatment if it means the integrity of this couple is respected and in tact (unless we can get him live!). But again, looking very forward to September 26th. What could this ground-breaking, history-making thing be? I admit, I’m terrified of them pulling a Bobby Ewing here …

I am excited for what’s to come in September. I know fans are upset about Nadia leaving and so am I but there is more to Days that Nadia/Chloe. I think they could have kept her and put her back with Brady or Daniel and maybe she will come back. I am just happy that we have new writers who care about the core families (Hortons/Bradys/Kiriakis/DiMeras).
Not for me.I started to watch the shwo in 1999 for Nadia,stopped watching when she left and watched again when she came back.And I will stop watching when she’s gone.Can’t stand characters who get away with the worse crimes when a good person like Chloe pays the higest price for her mistakes.And I want the real Chloe back,not DH’s evrsion.
I am sorry that your loyalty is to one actress. HOWEVER, I have watched days for over 30 years. I remember when the Salem Strangler killed Marlena’s twin Samantha. I remember Roman’s death and the Pawn turning out to be him. I remember so many more amazing weddings, deaths, resurrections, fights, loves and drama, romance and laughter than you do.
So while I feel for the fans who feel jilted by these actors/actresses departures, I am totally excited for the new staff to resurrect OUR days. The fun, fiesty, amazingly complex characters that we love to hate, cry with and over and root for. Because, unfortunately, Carly, Chloe, Vivian etc. do not excite me at all! I want the Bope love story, the Jarlena emotions, the history of the Hortons, Bradys, DiMeras and Kiriakis!
So basically you want to watch the same old same old you’ve watched for 30 years Angela? Isn’t that a bit repetitive?
Since none of us know what is going to happen, I don’t feel that saying it will be the same old same old is accurate. Do I want my well written, emotional, action packed adventures back, Hell YEAH! Do I want the cast written true to their characters history! Yes! Do I want to see fewer newbies and more favorites, YES!
Do I want to see the same triangles as before no! But I do want to see Marlena interacting with Sami and guiding her back to her formerly sometimes bad girl! I want John to knock some sense into Brady and get his head on straight. I want to see Jennifer fiesty and not weak and boring. I want Hope to have her spunk back and not let herself wallow in guilt and stupidity. I want Bo to stop acting like a goody two shoes and be the rebel again. He doesn’t have to steal bikes, but be willing to stretch the law again.
Temper the over the top stupidity with some realistic stories! Give Kate a life outside the damn mansion! Give Nicole her backbone back, that is what I want.
I am tired of the same old thing as much as the next person! But, I want to see my favorites not acting so totally out of character!
EJ and Sami did not bring the ratings up when they were EJami and Safe is not either,but LUMI sure did ,

he can briong back whoever they want.But ignoring the history,teh apst of the characetrs,writing them comlelty out of character and throwing them udner the bus to propr newbies like Daniel and Melanie is what is killing the show..Chloe,Philip,Brady,Jack all are veterans and longtime fans favorites and have been thrown under the bus to prop Daniel and Melanie.Get rid of these two and bring back the real Choe,Philip,Shawn,belle,….Only good writing with the veterans and long time fans favorites can save this show.Stop proping new characters at the expense of veterans and long time fans favorites.

Yes my loyalty is to one actress/character because she’s the reason I started to watch in 1999 and the reason I will stop watching when she leaves.She doesn’t excit you, fine.As far as I am concerned,John,marlena,Sami,…don’t excite me,.They do nothing to me.The only chaarcters I liked beside Chloe are Bo, Hope and Nicole,Maggie,Shawn Belle,Brady..but I don’t like them enough to stick around when Chloe will be off the show.You want the show without the last blast group.The show doesn’t interest me without them especially wihtout Chloe.So as you see,each are entitled to their opinion.Chloe is a core character,just like Philip.Belle,Shaw,Brady,Nicole,…it’s not just the Dimera’s , Black’s ,Brady,Kiriakis….And the show is boring without her/them for me.That’s the point.There are different audiences,not just the old ones,the ones who want Bo/Hope,John/Marlen,/Jennifer/Jack,Steve/Kayla…these are not the only audiences of the show.
Sorry, but again, Days is the Hortons, Dimeras, Kiriakis’ to me. The last blast group only worked because they WERE Hortons and Kiriakis’s and Bradys. I have watched since the 70’s and have seen my faves come and go, some treated like crap, some because they wanted to. I will not abandon a show because 1 actress/actor is given the pink slip, ESPECIALLY, when it is IMO an unneccesary character.
See in my eyes, you are a newbie, no offense. You never say the true greatness of Jarlena, Bope, the amazing scenes with Alice and Tom. The dialogue was AMAZING, the feelings were awe inspiring. I am very hopeful that we get that again. And, again, no offense, but if Chloe, Carly, Viv, etc. were the price to pay for my Days back, I will take it. My DVR won’t be FF for much longer!

See, you are wrong. NO ONE would have watched if it was Jan/Mimi and the rest of the teens without the CORE families being represented. No one would have cared if it wasn’t BELLE BLACK, SHAWN BRADY, PHILLIP KIRIAKIS involved. That is why the teens work. The same way the teens now are Brady’s, Hortons, Kiriakis! Bringing on a random teen scene wouldn’t work with out the history!
I also NEVER said that Nadia didn’t have a large fanbase, that would be disrepectful to the fans and the actress. I took offense to YOU saying she had the biggest EVER. I am sure CC fans felt robbed too, but I didn’t see them saying she had the biggest group ever! I also never disrepected Nadia, but I don’t feel that she as powerful of an actress as LK, KA, AZ or AS. I understand that you think she is the best, but again we can disagree.

I love NB’s acting much much more than most of the actresses on the show.Actually the only ones who’s acting I love on the show are NB,AZ and CC.I hate MB ,LK and AS ‘s acting.So you’re entitled to your opinion but the fact is Chloe/Nadia had a huge impact on the show,you like it or not.No matter how much you try to dismiss it.And you’re not the only one disgusted to see their favorite acting out of characters.Chloe who is a long time fans favorite,Chloe ‘s fans are more than just disgusted as well to see what they have done to their favorite.
