DAYS Kassie DePaiva Teases: "All I Can Say Is Come Fall You Guys Are In For A Great Big Bumpy Ride."

Courtesy/KassieDePaiva.com
Days of our Lives star Kassie DePaiva (Eve) took to her website to add her latest blog post on Wednesday, and in it while sharing updates on her personal life and family life, she also teased some intriguing story ahead for Eve Donovan, Paige (True O’Brien), JJ (Casey Moss), and Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves), et al!
Currently what is airing on the NBC soap opera has Eve hatching her latest revenge scheme to drive Jennifer insane like Jen’s mother, Laura Horton! Then there is still the fallout and residual effects from Paige finding out her mother slept with her boyfriend JJ … on numerous occasions!
Now DePaiva shares, as have other DAYS cast members before her, that whatever fans will see come fall it will be quite the shot in the arm and turn of events that will have viewers on the edge of their seats. Kassie related: “Poor old Eve. She just can’t seem to take responsibility for any of her actions. The summer is going to prove that is the case. Eve and Jennifer are very similar because they are both controlling mothers. Do you think Paige should forgive Eve? Do you think they can ever get back to the way they were? All I can say is come fall you guys are in for a great big bumpy ride. The best is yet to come!”
She later added: “As you know DAYS is five months ahead in shooting schedule from air date. I cannot wait for you to see what is coming! It was some of the most exciting work and challenging work I have had in my daytime career.”
What do you think will happen to Eve Donovan this fall on Days of our Lives? What do you hope happens with JJ, Paige and Jennifer in their twisted relationships with Eve? Will DAYS deliver massive story shockers as they head into their 50th anniversary as had been teased by cast members? Share your theories and thoughts below in the comment section.
As a viewer of all of the remaining soaps, DOOL seems to hold my interest the best lately. Y&R and GH are becoming too cartoonish for my taste and B&B has been on fast forward lately. The characters on all 3 shows have become unrecognizable. At least, Days characters have been consistent.
KDP is doing a wonderful job as Eve so I’m glad she is staying. I kinda wish they had kept Zander and got rid of Paige or Aiden instead but the stories have been really improving since Kristen’s “death”. (Hope ED comes back for the 50th in November. She is so badly misused over at CBS!) Long live DOOL!
@BU – I watch DAYS & GH, and I agree with you about DAYS remaining consistent. I look forward to DAYS more-so than GH, for the same reasons. Though, I’m hoping DAYS will definitely improve with story & writing, in the upcoming months. I find myself caring more about the DAYS characters than GH. GH I find is so bloated that it seems to sometimes lack focus. Whereas DAYS, has it’s set contract players and even if story is not necessarily there for some of them, I care about the characters so much more.
And, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kassie as Eve. KDP works her scenes, many dislike the character of Eve. However, I find the portrayal done so well by Kassie, she is a total gem to DAYS. I also love True O’Brien (Paige), she’s been turning out fantastic scenes with Kassie and the rest. I hope all this praise from the DAYS cast members hold up. I trust it will. from Mary Beth Evans, to Kassie, I’m pleased that these top notch actresses among others are speaking so highly of the work of the new writing team.
Great points, BU and Jeremy! I, too, look forward to DOOL more so than the other soaps. And what I look most forward to seeing is Eve. De Paiva is terrific in this role. So many dislike the character for her sins, but I accept her shortcomings and understand her motivations. Besides, for me anyway, it’s easy to root for Eve versus Jennifer…
I agree BU..I’ve said on here before I was FF and simply deleting episodes and suddenly I just stopped and watched one and that is a thing of the past. It may not have all the bells and whistles of over the top storytelling..but when it comes to Stephano sitting in a chair while reliving his and Marlena’s history and then just simply demanding his thugs..THROW HER OUT THE WINDOW…lol and riveting …though you knew it wasn’t going to happen. I just wish they’d replace that lip pursing Will with another actor..ughhh…so not working.
I agree, BU.
Xander (Paul Telfer) is one exceptionally talented actor. I would have loved to have seen more of him and his ‘evil’ ways. Admittedly, he is a creep…buy, wow, what an astounding creep!
DOOL has come a long way. The storylines have been, systematically, reeling me in, lately.
It seems that the juices are reflowing between Eric and Nicole. Deja-vu? Hmmmm. Will Daniel never learn? I hope I’m wrong. I like Daniel snd nicole as a couple…hot!! Halo-sporting Eric is too sanctimonious and ‘Vaticany’ for my taste. As beautiful as Eric is? He is a complete stick in the mud.
And, yes. Kassie is one of a kind. She won my heart as Blair, on OLTL. I am not into JJ or Paige, though. I think the boy who played Jack, Blair’s son, on OLTL would be a better choice. Paige did prove herself when she discovered JJ’s duplicity and her mother’s betrayal…but, not enough to last.
But the other girl, the one who made-out with JJ in the park ( can’t think of her name) ……something about her got my attention. ….something potentially promising.
Yes, CeeCee, I think Bev has an edge to her that makes her interesting. Rory and Bev have been on the show since JJ started. I thought it was odd for tptb to end things between JJ and Theresa and not go the JJ and Bev route. Instead, we were given Paige because of the life-long feud between Jennifer and Eve. As Jimh said, they should have made Bev the daughter of Eve.
I also agree that there has definitely been an upswing in storytelling. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a return of Xander one of these DAYS.
Anytime there is more Kassie DePaiva on the screen, I am a happy man. Remain so pleased DAYS hired the actor. She was so compelling as Blair on OLTL. I do look forward to the DAYS anniversary fireworks, and I hope the returns, nods to history, and opportunities for story closures and new directions for legacy characters and families invigorates the show and the genre. And that the momentum lasts. The idea of broadcast webs dropping all daytime drama is so sad to me.
Same here. She is literally my No. 2 fave soap actor of all time (only coming in behind Robin Mattson).
And I tried to watch her on “Days of Our Lives” but OMG, that show is so horrible. Couldn’t do it. Sorry Kassie. Come to “General Hospital” or “Young and the Restless.”
It warms my heart that the entire cast seems to be so excitable concerning the new writing regime, and I cannot wait for the new material to appear onscreen. And for someone, with Kassie’s long daytime career,t o say it’s some of the most challenging and exciting work she’s done, that is saying something! I knew Josh Griffith would bring something incredible to DAYS.
The 50th seems like its going to be good…i hope…and if it is i hope it stays that way…but lets continue to bring back vets for short story arcs and visits even if recast beyond the shows 50th…bring back P.S. as Renee and bring on Robin Strasser as Lee Dumonde…also lets see more of Rory and Bev…Kassie is finally winning me over as Eve!!! Any chance Paige could have a long lost sister who turns out to be Bev???
Jimh, I think Paige does have a sister…Gabi.
A Martinez is joining DAYS. I’m sure his character will turn out to be Mr. Hernandez.
After Mr. Hernandez left his family, he could have met Eve and fathered Paige.
I also like Rory and Bev. Have a happy 50th anniversary!!!!!
What they shouldve done was bring back Dario? Rafe’s bro as a new love interest for Paige…then they find out they share the same father?
Thanks, 4ever. BEV, that’s her name! I couldn’t think of it. This girl is so overlooked…so pretty.!! And, she really is a good actress. She should be given a closer look.
Wait a second – A. Martinez is going back to daytime?!? I must have missed a lot because you all took that as no surprise !
Good Grief-I hope that Eve does not become pregnant with JJ’s baby. Ugh.
LOL, dmr. Eve is way-passed her reproductive years….past menopause. How old do you think she supposedly is? Then again, it’s a soap where everyone is forever young. You may have hit on something!…..IT’S A MIRACLE !!!!!!!!!
Imagine Caroline getting pregnant with another of Victor’s babies. HaHa.
“… It was some of the most exciting work and challenging work I have had in my daytime”
tears
It’s refreshing that Kassie embraces the flaws in Eve – and there are plenty of them!! – without trying to garner sympathy from fans with fanwanking and nonsense. Eve is a mess, and Kassie’s unapologetic performance is fun to watch. I’m looking forward to Eve & her interactions with the rest of the canvas!!
Can’t wait to see it!
Kassie is killing it as Evil Eve!!
DAYS is exciting right now, but will go through the stratosphere very soon!!!!!
as long as that means more casey moss im in…. now that kirstens gone… jj s the only reason is still tune into days!!! i hope jj shares scenes with his uncle patch in the fall as well!!
i love jj! he is so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t wait to see what is in store for Eve. Kassie DePaiva is the reason I started watching. If she is this excited… I know it will be GREAT!
What is the point in recording this show so far in advance…
I love days of our lives and since KDP has come as Eve I love it even more. She is an incredible actress that brings her character to life every single day, what an amazing actress!
I have loved Kassie DePavia since her first scene as Blair on OLTL. From the very beginning, she made Blair hers. She is wonderful as Eve. I can’t wait to see what horrible things Eve will get into next.
What will happen?… For one, JJ will find out that his Dad had an affair with his maternal grandmother! Paige will learn that too. That knowledge will start to heal the rift between Paige and Jennifer. Paige will want to know from Jennifer how she was able to overcome this development.
Whatever Eve plans for Jennifer will definitely fail. If Paige forgives Jennifer but not Eve, it will drive Eve up a tree! That may be the bumpy ride Kassie was referring to.
I’ve ofter wondered if it will turn out the Paige and JJ are brother and sister. We already know that Jack and Eve had an affair. Just sayin….
Ewwww. They had sex !!!!’ Ewwww.
Hi, Don.
I apologize for being so abrupt. I must elaborate…..at first, before JJ and Paige ended up in bed, I thought they may be brother and sister, as well. It was a logical conclusion since Eve was so adamant about them as a couple. But, as we know, Eve has her own agenda, having nothing to do with DNA.
Furthermore, TPTB would have never gone there….if they did, then it would have been disgusting !!!!!
If you watch Y&R, you may remember that Kyle and Summer never had sex before discovering they were half-siblings ( which proved untrue)……but, my point is, in retrospect, that is the reason they never had sex; the writers did not know, yet, where to go with that story. So they left the issue alone…therefore, Summer and he never had sex until recently. Am I making any sense? LOL. Sometimes, my thoughts are so scrambled…they get ahead of myself.
At CeCe — never even occurred to me. Wouldn’t that be something?!? The timing works out! And she had that obsession with jack, and this unusual obsession with JJ.
Love Kassie. I started watching Days for her and she doesn’t disappoint. I hope Eve is getting a good love interest and a job!
I’m a believer that of the four remaining soaps, DOOL has the best actors and the best couples/supercouples on the show. The fact that they’re revisiting their history with some of the greats returning makes me very excited for what will air in August and afterwards. I’m not thrilled with the current storytelling, but I’m hoping that certain characters will take a few steps back while some of the vets and returning vets come to the forefront, and I’ll remember what I’ve loved about DOOL all this time. If the road is bumpy, that’s fine. I love conflict and obstacles to be overcome, and I think alot of fans feel the same way. With any luck, this will all be reflected in the ratings, too.
Eve needs to run a whorehouse.Get all the little college boys and make them work for her.She can be the kingpin primping out the boys.Drugging Paige and making her a heroine addict.Make Jj rescue her.Drag Paige down to the depths of hell and see how evil Eve can make JJ jump.Set it at a carnival setting the funhouse.Maybe JJ can get a part time job as he finds his way to college in California.will JJ rescue Paige in time…..or will Paige become Evil (eve)the second?
WOW !!
I am glad that people are being optimistic, because right now DAYS is a bit of a snooze….that’s just my opinion. It COULD be better and I’m sure it WILL be better, but right now, with Eric and Nicole being in peril again, when only recently they were chained together in yet another precarious situation, well to me it’s all kind of repetitious and monotonous. The storyline though of Eve and JJ and Paige, well that at least did hold my attention. So, hopefully the writers will give the viewers what they want.
