I’m excited for Beyond Salem debuting soon. Though, I have very mixed feelings about Eileen Davidson resuming her role of Kristen DiMera, I grew very fond of Stacey Hadiuk’s versions of Kristen and Susan over the past few years. And, I feel like Days used Stacey until Eileen received an offer she couldn’t refuse? Idk.

As for Aunt Paulina being Lani’s Momma…I’m not a fan of that decision from the writers, and, what really pisses me off is that Abe is NOT her bio- Dad. That really is upsetting to me, those two have a fantastic father/daughter bond. I wish they left well enough alone and kept Tamara as Lani’s mother. Also, I’m really not interested in an Abe and Paulina pairing either. He had such a loving bond with his deceased wife Lexi. Oh well. On a whole, I just want a better and more engaging story for Abe, a better love interest, and it’s disgraceful that the writers decided not to have him remain Lani’s father. Mistake, in my opinion.

Also, I’m loving Marla Gibbs as Olivia- love her spirit and energy, she’s fierce and is 90, too!

Looking forward to to seeing Will and NUSonny. I can’t wait for their return.

I’m mad that they would do that to Marilyn McCoo. All these years she’s played Tamara and is Lani’s mother. Marilyn McCoo is beautiful and so is Sal Stowers, they look very much like mother and daughter and now we are to believe Jackee is her mother? Once again, Ron Carlivati rewrites Salem history. I’m tired of having to keep up.

Jeremy,
I always preferred Eileen’s version of Kristen and as much as I hate the character, I think Stacey held her own in the part, making her very believable. Did you see her play Paul’s sister Patty on Y&R? She was at her best.

Maybe they could call it Beyond The Housewives of Beverly Hills.

It’s rumored that looser trainwreck Lani will be shot in an episode can’t wait to see that.

Either that or the babies will get sick. One way or the other it will be some sort of medical crisis where blood or bone marrow will be needed and surprise surprise, Abe is NOT a match. And since blood donors really aren’t all that rare in and of themselves, they’ll drag out the soap invention of the “rare blood factor” that nobody else in Lani’s known family has. So of course either Paulina or Granny will call in bio-daddy out of desperation, and the dragonshit will hit the fan.

Sounds like a very promising storyline to me!! I wish they would bring back Valerie Grant to be a rival to Paulina and JJ to be a rival to Eli.

Kristian Alfonso Returns to Days of our Lives for Tribute to The Late Bill Hayes

After a few weeks of Days of our Lives fans being upset that Kristian Alfonso (Hope Williams) was not on the first list of initial returns for Doug Williams’ funeral and episodes honoring his portrayer, the late Bill Hayes, comes word that the popular star is back and taping scenes.

Kristian reported to work on the Peacock streaming soap opera on Monday, April 22nd. She shared how important it is for her to be back for this particular return to the show that made her a household name.

“My return is very bittersweet,” Alfonso told TV Insider,  “because it is the end of an era with Bill gone. So to return to Days is very sad. I am appreciative that they came to me to include me in their series of shows honoring Doug and I’m very happy to see everyone, but I’m entering the studio with a heavy heart.”

It was back in 1983 that Kristian first debuted as Doug’s daughter, and now 41 years later looking back at it, and her time with Bill Hayes is very emotional for her.

“I remember my first scenes with him/ He was very loving, very welcoming. That he was very talented and an incredible actor and an icon, that all goes without saying, but my personal relationship and my working relationship with Bill, it was home,” expressed Alfonso. “Doing the scenes with Bill, I felt like I was with my dad because there was so much warmth and reality.”

Alfonso did express some deep regret, in that she had wanted to work with Bill Hayes during her last appearance on the soap back in 2023, but according to the iconic actress, there was something in the works but it never materialized.  “I’m sad that I did not get the opportunity to do the storyline that Ron (Carlivati, head writer) had planned/ It was great; we returned to Salem to reunite with our families and I would have had father/daughter scenes with Billy. What Ron had written was beautiful and emotional and it was a fantastic story. I was 100 percent for it and the fans would have loved it.”

As for if Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope will be back on-screen together anytime soon, Kristian would only say, “What I will say is don’t give up hope.” Doug’s passing and memorial episodes will stream later this year come late November into December.

So, are you happy to learn that Kristian Alfonso is back taping episodes surrounding Doug’s memorial episodes? Comment below.
