Soap Twitterverse went crazy with excitement with the announcement that Kristian Alfonso (Hope) and Peter Reckell (Bo) were reprising their classic role as Hope and Bo in the upcoming summer streaming series, Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem on Peacock.

Alfonso last appeared on the mothership, Days of our Lives, back in October of 2020.

Now, the limited series is currently taping its five episodes, and PEOPLE spoke exclusively with Alfonso to get her thoughts on: being back at the set, and when she gets to work again with Reckell.  Peter made a guest appearance back in 2015 on DAYS, which was the last time he was seen on-air.

Kristian shared: “I think, probably just the lead up of it all, I want it to be great. I put the pressure on myself. I am definitely looking forward to working with Petey.”

As to what viewers can expect when the new mystery caper reveals itself, Alfonso expressed: “The viewers are going to be so happy, and what they see, it’s going to be super fun. They want to keep it a surprise because there’s so many different things happening, and characters that are reappearing, that they wanted to be a surprise.”

Look for Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem chapter two to drop on Monday July 11th and then an episode a day through the entire week through July 15th.

So, excited to hear Kristian is back on set at DAYS taping the limited-series? Comment below.

I was wondering what changed her mind when she told Entertainment Tonight that she was done forever with Days Of Our Lives???

Money, her and Peter Reckell are reportedly both being paid $100,000 an episode apiece for 5 episodes apiece, which translates too $500,000 apiece for a week’s work

Kristen Alfonso’s return is all about the money. I guess $100,00 per episode is to much to pass up.

Wish B and B would’ve cast her as Taylor. She would’ve been fantastic.

As a former fan, I’m not sure I get it?… I suppose @ $100,000 per episode it makes sense for her to say the fans are going to love it, but… Is she so narcissistic that she thinks that the fans don’t already know that RC and his writing team obliterated the characters of Hope and Bo before they left, and just about every other Legacy Character except perhaps for Victor? I suppose there are some fans that will appreciate a 5 episode cartoon, but Days is beyond redemption at this point. Krisy if you’re reading this… Reading the National… Read more »

I’m happy either way. If she did it for the money, good for her!
Now, here’s the thing though, DOOL absolutely needs to recast the character of Hope because it’s ridiculous that the character has not been in Salem during all these important things going on in her own family. I doubt Carlivati will do that though, he’s too busy writing for stupid Gwen and that drippy Ava.

Chrishell Stause Makes a Return to Days of our Lives

You just never know who you will find in purgatory (ah-hem) on Days of our Lives ! And now, in a surprise return, Chrishell Stause reprises her role of Jordan Ridgeway in all new episodes on the Peacock streaming soap opera.

In the latest promo released on Friday, Chrishell is seen in the ‘afterlife’ as Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) runs into Jordan … her old arch-nemesis! Let the games begin.

Stause, who is one of the mainstays of the Netflix reality series, Selling Sunset, comes back to her old stomping grounds at DAYS just as Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Kate have ‘died’ and have all landed in this white space which looks to be heaven, but really is hell in disguise, especially given Marlena’s latest visit with Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk), who seemingly reveals herself to be possessed by Satan.

Chrishell made her DAYS debut back in August of 2013 and exited the series on March 9th of 2015.  Stause returned in 2019 until Jordan finally met her demise. She returned once again in 2020 in a series of flashbacks.

Watch the promo for next week’s DAYS below.

Now let us know, what do you think of Chrishell returning to DAYS to raise some hell for Kate and company? Comment below.

In the category of Daytime Drama, only Days of our Lives was nominated, thus DAYS becomes the automatic winner as the sole nominee.

The nominated and winning DAYS writing team consists of: Head Writer Ron Carlivati; Writers Lorraine Broderick, Jazmen Darnell Brown, Joanna Cohen, Carolyn Culliton, Richard Culliton, Cheryl Davis, Kirk Doering, Christopher Dunn, Jamey Giddens, David Kreizman, Ryan Quan, Dave Ryan, Katherine D. Schock.

DAYS head writer, Ron Carlivati shared in a statement: “My team and I are thrilled to be nominated for the 2023 Writers Guild Award for Daytime.  We submitted three scripts from the storyline about Craig’s late-in-life coming out, the impact it had on his wife, Nancy, and of course, his ill-fated romance with the ever-scheming Leo. We felt that these episodes were a good representation of what Days of our Lives does best: high-stakes family drama with a comedic twist.”
