Days Of Our Lives
Days of our Lives Drops Extended Promo: Nicole Baby Switch, Blake Berris Returns, The Pawn
Saturday marked Peacock’s annual Day of Days event in downtown Los Angeles, where fans from around the country and the around the globe, gathered to meet up close and personal many of the cast members from their favorite soap opera.
After the autograph signings, the outdoor Q&A and the press day, everyone waited with bated-breath to see the unveiling of the annual Days of our Lives extended winter promo which drops every year at this signature event. The promo always includes storylines and bombshells that preview the action through the holiday season.
The 2023 version contained some shocking truths, a return, a baby switch and storyline from the past potentially being reignited and more. As the promo unfolds, Konstantin (John Kapelos) and Theresa (Emily O’Brien) look to have evidence that Xander (Paul Telfer) is actually Victor’s son! In addition, Blake Berris (ex-Nick Fallon) is back at Days and from the looks of it is playing a new character, Everett, who has a past with both Jada (Elia Cantu) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein).

In one of the more unsettling story points, lives intersect as Nicole (Arianne Zucker) delivers her baby and somehow Leo (Greg Rikaart) is there to help her deliver after a car crash. However, Melinda (Tina Huang) and Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) conspire to make Nicole believe her baby died, while Sloan raises the little bundle of joy. How deep in the mix are Leo and Dimitri (Peter Porte) in this baby swap?
Later, John (Drake Hogestyn) who is having a drink and sitting beside Marlena (Deidre Hall) makes a remark and there is a flashback of the time when Steve (Stephen Nichols) found him as the “Pawn.” Is DAYS about to revisit this long ago classic story with a blast from the past?

Photo: JPI
Ava (Tamara Braun) is in trouble thanks to her being blackmailed by Clyde (James Read). Now it looks like Harris (Steve Burton) may be caught in some crossfire, and is potentially fatally shot. Is Steve Burton exiting DAYS? Someone else is murdered who has a connection to Gabi (Camila Banus) and Stefan (Brandon, but who is it? Plus, the promo contains a fiery ending.
Watch the Days of our Lives ‘Day of Days 2023’ Preview below. Then let us know, which story twist are you most looking forward to? What story are you looking forward to the least? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
It is one (maybe the only) benefit to taping so far ahead for “Days,” they can do extended promos like this.
This is what we got? It looks boring AF! And honestly… it could still air on NBC, which is not what we want for a streaming soap. Here is hoping the interim writing is heaps better than the crap Carlivati continues to shove down our throats… and enough with bringing former cast members back in new roles. It’s cheap and tacky. Cannot wait for Decker’s material as co-EP to begin airing!!!!! And burning down the Horton home? I’d have more of an impact if, you know, HORTONS still existed within Salem. This is yawn-worthy.
Dont watch the no one is putting a gun to your head. Don’t spoil the fun for others please!
I would rather see talented cast members coming back in new roles than bringing someone back from the dead for the 100th time. That old soap chestnut helped kill daytime soaps as a genre. Instead of focusing your anger on Days which has a two year commitment why don’t you save your criticism for the remaining network soaps. None of them are doing well and could use some constructive fan advice before they too go to streaming.
Remember when SOAPS ruled daytime AND nightime TV? At one point there were 17 daytime SOAPS on three networks and prime time had at least one every night? NOW game shows, insipid so called reality shows and extreme violence are the SOUP d jour. What EVER happened to CLASS?
Hey Scott, did you know that Scott McKenzie (son of the Incomparable Beverlee McKenzie) is now involved in production of DAYS?
Wow looks like it’s going to be a fun season!!
I love Days!
What are the odds that Steve Johnson’s daughter and Marcus Hunter’s daughter would have the same ex …. and that he would look exactly like Nick Fallon?
Yeah, I had to check and make sure Nick was still down here in Hell where he belongs. Though I have given him the “Halloween Day Pass” on a couple of occasions.
Xander is actually Victor’s son, and not Alex… well we all saw that coming from 666 miles away, didn’t we. Still don’t know where the forged letter from dead Angelica Deveraux came from, but there’s no way in the blazing fires of eternal Hell that Theresa had time to forge a letter and slip it into Victor’s briefcase when she literally only had a few seconds alone with it. Still not sure what Konstantin is really up to, but I doubt he came all the way from Greece just to give Maggie a photo album.
The dead guy is obviously Li Shin. He will probably be killed by one of Redneck Clyde’s thugs who breaks into that apartment, intending to attack Tripp, probably because Ava wants out of Clyde’s drug business.
And yes…. a Devil predicts that Harris Michaels will die of gunshot wounds…. and because Days tapes so far in advance, he can still make it home to Port Charles in time for the traditional Quartermaine Thanksgiving pizza.
Ah, the QUARTERMAINE Thanksgiving ! Ever wonder how families living in mansions no longer have onscreen staff? Esther on Y and R, as well as Alice (when she wasn’t wrestling) and the Spauldings Ginger always served up some great entertainment! The DeMeras and Kiriakis families have infrequently mentioned COOKS. AND I would give Thanks to see Monica come back while Tracy is still around. I do believe it is still MONICA’S house!
Well, Satan, I thought YOU sent KONSTANTIN to TRICK or treat in SALEM while he stirs the cauldron! ♀️
I haven’t watched Days since it left NBC and went Peacock, I would have to pay extra for Peacock, is not in my Direct TV package. I muss it been watching it since it first aired. BUT it sure sounds like it is off the world in even a little bit of reality so probably not missing much and there really isn’t any of th actors or characters anymore that used to be on it.
I Love Blake berris so much!!!!!!!!
Can’t believe baby switch again enough already
Please enough with switching characters. I never like Gwen, especially now as Teresa. I already know the baby switching is coming up. Do your writers not know enough stories to keep Days alive. Get new writers, get real story lines or lose me.
Is Days destroying the Horton house set? I hope not, that set is as much a character on the show as are the actors.
SO over big deal about babies and new TEENS with smart mouths and ATTITUDE. DAYS has so many Legacy characters that don’t get ENOUGH story! And it seems LBQT issues are being pushed aside! Have loved DAYS, but this preview doesn’t sound that great. Would love to see Megan and Vivian go at it. Where is Andrew? Susan Banks needs to be back regularly. Dimitri seems to be the one to finally set Leo on the path to some happiness. So will they be dropped? Are you listening RON? Many fans look forward to the GAYS of our Lives!️.
SINCERELY RICK DEMERIAKIS
I’m sick of the baby kidnapping STOP give Nicole her happy ever after
It’s going to be fun to watch all of the crazies days of Salem.
Do they recycle storylines?? Honestly what will happen to Nicole happened to Sarah just couple of years ago with Mackenzie! Just yet another snag that is not necessary?
Get new writers….tired of repeated scenarios enough with switched babies.etc.and people dying and coming back ..even worse people leaving and coming back as a different character..and Holly going from 7to 17 in a few months …and NO MORE DEVILS…get creative…
Hey…. what’s wrong with Devils?
When will days of our lives be on cable television cuz I know that peacock will not renew it but I have to come on probably CBS so it can replace the Young and the restless I don’t know if it will be passions I don’t know if we got them right I don’t know if we’ll be all my children or One Life to live or guilding light well might be off air that’s all I’m saying because those are soap operas that people really loved and they were like to watch it again if something does not renew anything
Since Sony is part owner of Days, it wouldn’t be out of the question that Sony put it in the same place as their other two soaps… in the event that Peacock gave up on the show.
But if that happened, it would probably also be the same time Sony pulled the other two shows off of CBS and put them up for “streaming only” on Paramount +
Hopefully not anytime soon, because we don’t have Paramount + down here in Hell yet.
Shame, Bo and Hope scenes died before they could enjoy their grandchildren. This would be great storyline “Horton/Brady.” legacy continues.
Stop the baby switching let Nicole have her baby get rid of Sloan im.done with days if the show keeps going on like this it’s crazy and not interesting any more no one can have a normal.life bringing people back from the dead n baby switching g come on this show sucks any more I’m getti g rid of it not worth watching o.
