DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Who Killed Deimos?

The suspects are many, and it looks like the initial Salemite taken into custody may not be the culprit!
On last Friday’s episode of Days of our Lives, it was JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) who was arrested for having Deimos Kirkiakis’ (Vincent Irizarry) blood on his shirt! But with so many people at the Martin House shindig under the effects of the drug Halo (Thanks to a vindictive Deimos spiking the champagne that everyone drank), did a drugged JJ really kill the guy? JJ always seems to land in hot water, even when he is innocent!
On a side note: Hey All My Children fans, remember when Vincent Irizarry as Dr. David Hayward also drugged the party goers on a yacht filled with Pine Valley residents with the drug Libidozone? Interesting bit of history repeating itself!

I agree, Vicki. I could never understand what the fascination with this character/actor is. He is non-charismatic….not to sound petulant, Vicki, but normally, even the bad boys ‘demand’ some attraction, depending on their personality. He has none. This guy has nothing to offer. I could easily accept him if he had some allure. And I do not mean looks alone. He is bland……I do agree with you…..he is pointless. Who cares—- but if you want to get technical about it — it was whoever created the character to begin with– it was a dumb idea from the get go– got worse over time, don’t blame VI from leaving— but whoever did it, please reveal it quickly, don’t want to have to go down the whole list of Halo suspects with fuzzy memories– if I was writing this, I would have Henderson be the one– the classic the butler did it– and move on.
Whatever! I like a good “whodunnit?” storyline… that being said I cannot wait until Ron Carlivati’s material to start airing! Wish he penned this one!
Deimos killed himself…he accidentally drank his own drug, hallucinted, and attacked himself…realizing he was dieing he managed to wipe off his own fingerprints on the murder weapon to make it look like one of his enemies murdered him!!!

My money is on the waiter that was working the party with Deimos. He’s a throw-away character who would be easy to pin the murder on and not disrupt the canvas. Plus, they took the time to show the waiter drinking the tinted champagne while cleaning up. Why, if not to drop a clue? Just my guess.

I have tuned back into Days of our lives . Last weeks episodes culminating in the murder were just great . Days of our lives has taken a turn for the best , yes the best . The murder mystery is fascinating . I can now sit through an entire episode without turning the tv off and i am even excited at seeing the next episode . You can all tune back in . Yes, I remember when Dr. Hayward purposely dispensed that drug, since he was essentially the same misguided character as Deimos. It’s not just a case of “history repeating itself” but rather a rehashed done-to-death storyline – Vincent is most certainly a proficient actor but this is pretty much the same character that he is sort of known for portraying. I am more than marginally bored with this show, have missed many of June’s episodes and it doesn’t seem to matter because I can watch a few moments here and there on line and pretty much know what’s going on since… Read more »
The writers killed Deimos not long after he appeared on the canvas by making him into a one dimensional villain. Poor Vincent Irazarry had to endure some of the worst writing in soap history. As far as who finished the character off at the party, the answer will of course be, “none of the above”. It will probably be Xander. Now, let’s work on getting VIncent over to General Hospital (where the writing is marginally better).

The irony is, Shay, she manages to turn the tables on us. We mind our own business; we do not start the ugly disputes and insults . we enjoy each other’s comments—we go back and forth ( when posted), between ourselves—but, without fail, the demeaning laughter and affrontery upon our person; intelligence; and moral discipline ( which she lacks) starts. So glad you mentioned the David Hayward flashback…first thing I thought of when I saw this SL.
I started thinking this is where Nicole bids us adios. I don’t want to think she killed Deimos but I know she is leaving the show very soon so this could be the way she goes off the canvas although a little messed up if it goes that way.

There are ‘rumors’ that he (Vincent) is heading for General Hospital and I suspect he will play Dr. David Hayward, formerly from Pine Valley Hospital. This gives one reason to think that since ABC has re-gained the character rights from both All My Children and One Life to Live that it is possible that there may be character cross-overs towards General Hospital. This was ABC’s original intention (my opinion) when Prospect Park leased the rights to both AMC and OLTL which as most soap fans know caused quite a bit of controversy as to just “how” characters could be utilized.… Read more »

Sonny, implicated by his new mobster appearance. Coffee shop/”club” owner one day, slicked back hair, gun totting “suit” the next. I can’t help but laugh every time I see this ridiculousness on my screen.

Shay, I watched a little of today’s episode while at home for lunch. Again, I had to laugh at Sonny attempting to be a thug and hard a$$. He was attempting to stand-up to Brady, reminding him who was boss. I was rolling my eyes and laughing. Oh, my, Shay!!…..the black sea divides Sonny Kiriakis from Sonny Corinthos.
Sonny K’ heart is not black….that is the main difference between the two. While dmr’s description of Sonny ( of late) is dead on, he is easy on the eye and likable.

Celia and Shay, too funny! I just can’t stand the lazy writing, and I see it on all of the shows. Be creative! Be spontaneous! Be exciting! Except, most of the writing falls flat, IMO, unlike the “good ol’ days” of lunchtime, daytime TV.

I love a murder mystery but soaps truly fail at writing a good one. Instead of whodunit intrigue we get everyone in sequence being arrested and then cleared. By the time they get to the reveal so much time has past that no one cares other then the story is FINALLY OVER!
That said it’s clearly Nicole since the actress is leaving.

DAYS and GH Alum Tyler Christopher Arrested for Public Intoxication
Daytime Emmy-winner, Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas, GH; ex-Stefan, DAYS) was arrested for public intoxication at the Burbank, California airport, this past Friday, on May 26th.
According to the Burbank PD and reports obtained by TMZ, Tyler was arrested after they found him asleep and on the ground at the American Airlines terminal. The officers noted that Tyler displayed clear and objective signs of drinking. They also reveal he was unable to care of himself.
Christopher, who remains a fan favorite as the former Nikolas Cassadine on GH and Stefan DiMera on DAYS has opened up and discussed his battle with alcoholism in the past. Last year, he appeared on former GH co-star Maurice Benard’s You Tube series, State of Mind.

Tyler was released from police custody following his airport arrest, cited, and will need to appear in court at a later date.
Back in 2019, the popular actor was cited for two counts of misdemeanor public intoxication and landed in jail for two days, following an arrest in Indiana.

Peter Porte, Miranda Wilson and Colton Little Tease Dimitri’s Love Interest, Who’s the Daddy & The Future of Andrew & Paul
Following recent revelations on Days of our Lives, which include that Dimitri Von Leushner (Peter Porte) is the biological son of Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson), thus making him a DiMera, Megan moving back into the DiMera mansion after her prison term, and Andrew (Colton Little) being kidnapped, the performers who take on these roles chatted with Michael Fairman on Friday during a livestream conversation on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel.

During the live chat a myriad of subjects and upcoming story teases came up including: if there might be the love interest for Dimitri. Peter Porte shared, “Yes, there certainly will be. There will be two. One, out of perhaps, we’ll say necessity, and one out of heart’s desire.” As to if ‘said’ relationship will show Dimitri’s obsessive side, Porte expressed: “I think he goes through a full journey of emotions. I don’t think he fully reaches obsession. I would say he reaches a level of extreme devotion.” When Porte found out who the character would be that Dimitri seemingly falls for, the actor said, “I was certainly surprised.”
When we posed the question to the DAYS fans in the live chat, as to who they think will be Dimitri’s love interest or interests, guesses ranged from Gwen (Emily O’Brien) to Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) to Leo (Greg Rikaart). Could any, or two, of those be right?
Miranda Wilson and Porte weighed-in on the mother/son bond and troublemaking duo of Megan and Dimitri. Wilson shared: “I think it’s fair to say that Dimitri is a grown man and probably has his own mustache twisting to be doing without Megan to be involved. I just think that what is going to be coming up now is a beautiful relationship between the two.” Porte followed with, “At the heart of it, Dimitri would do anything for his mother, anything.”

Another mystery on DAYS fans minds is just who is the bio-dad of Dimitri? Is it someone on the canvas? Someone from the past? Porte previewed, “He certainly has a name and a title, but I don’t know if we’ve met him yet.” Wilson added, “I don’t believe he has been on the show.”
Many DAYS fans are also hoping that there be will be more to the burgeoning love story of Andrew and Paul (Christopher Sean). Colton revealed, “I have a real-life love and affinity for Christoper Sean, because he is just a ball of light and energy and a good human. I don’t think my success on the show would be anything if he hadn’t taken me under his wing and showed me the ropes. So much kudos and love to him. Getting to play opposite of someone like that as a love interest, is a treat and a joy. I think it’s really sweet, a lot of it is happening off-screen. I know the fans have expressed they want to see it on-screen.” However, Little teased, ‘There is some good stuff coming up with Andrew and Paul. Stay tuned.”

When Miranda Wilson first appeared on Days of our Lives, it was back in 1984 as Megan was revealed to be the daughter of Stefano DiMera, played by the late, great Joseph Mascolo. This week, Megan made her way back to the DiMera mansion and Miranda weighed-in on her relationship with her late on-screen father, and more. “Joe was a very dear friend,” she detailed. “When we worked together in the past, he was truly a father figure for me. DAYS was my first professional job in Los Angeles. The fact that Joe was there for me and we worked together so frequently, and he had a lot of time for me, meant the world to me. So, it was bittersweet being back (in the DiMera mansion), and him not being there. It still touches me, but at the same time, the character of Megan has her edge and she doesn’t let this show. As the actress, there was a lot of tenderness, that the character didn’t necessarily display. The whole ‘being back’ thing was amazing.”

Linsey Godfrey Returns to Days of our Lives
No one is really ever written off Days of our Lives forever! Now, Linsey Godfrey (Sarah) is coming back to the Peacock streaming soap opera, reprising her role of Sarah. However, this time, Sarah returns to Salem, pregnant!
We last saw Godfrey back in March when Sarah exited the canvas to take a job in Chicago with Rex (Kyle Lowder). At the time of her exit, she was pregnant with Xander’s (Paul Telfer) child, but their divorce went through on the same day.

Now, next week on DAYS, when Bonnie (Judi Evans) goes to visit Rex, she sees a very pregnant Sarah along with him. Meanwhile back in Salem, Xander is growing closer to Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin).
Linsey chatted with Soap Opera Digest on her return (in their latest issue on newsstands now), sharing that she was very excited to be back on DAYS, and for the next leg of this story. The actress commented, “This is the antithesis of what Sarah would want to happen. She moved to Chicago to be far away from anything like this and to keep this secret.”
