The brother of the late Patrick Swayze, soap alum, Don Swayze is set to appear on General Hospital starting this week on the January 5th episode.

Don, who previously appeared on Y&R as Shawn Roberts, and also that of a pawnbroker on Days of our Lives, will be appearing on to the GH canvas as a homeless man named Buzz.

According to the latest issue of ABC Soaps In Depth, Buzz will be involved in a story featuring Julian (William deVry) when he makes his debut.

Swayze’s other TV roles have included parts on: True Blood and Carnivale to name just a few.

So, how to you think Buzz will tie-in to Julian’s story? Did this homeless man know some intel into who planted the bomb that ultimately killed Morgan, and whose intended target was the mobster himself? Comment below.

Buzz? LOL. Why is it that thugs and homeless souls have these ‘hard’ names?…. for lack of a better word.
Perhaps, Buzz saw something or someone fidgeting around Julian’s car? Will he use this info to extort money from the culprit?….. or will he go to Julian with the info for money.
Two-edged sword! The end result for dear Buzz will be the same: MONEY. By the same token, his mouth may be permanently shut by whomever planted the bomb.

I am so sorry, Jimmy, that you still haven’t found a way….some help to get you out of your financial situation.
Oh, please seek help, Jimmy. As I told you before, there are people to whom you may speak about this. A priest? A pastor? I truly wish you the best, my friend….mostly, I wish I could help you, somehow. How?
Keep posting, I look forward to knowing if things get better for you.

That’s true. He is going to be paid, to keep his mouth shut about some harsh truth. And it will obviously be about Julian and the car bomb.

Connor….What if Tom planted the bomb and he needed to be eliminated by the one who hired him, after the deed was done? The one in power, he who put this in motion, could not run the risk of having Tom be questioned by the cops and expose him, whoever he is.

Maybe Buzz will have a pottery scene with Emily Quartermaine!

Good point about the naming of the homeless man. Good grief – someone actually got paid to come up with “Buzz”. Likely not a good sign of the quality of writing that will be associated with this storyline. I really wish the Julian and Alexis storylines would move along. They are really dragging lately and are dull. Secrets, secrets…good grief, let’s move on already.

Well, Max. It doesn’t look like it will happen soon. Julian has to work his magic, first and foremost. He’s a good guy, now. Pathetic.
He needs to convince everyone that he held his wife at knife-point for her own good. That’s how screwed up this story is.

I don’t know who Shawn Roberts or Don Swayze are, so no big deal for me , if it’s supposed to be a big deal that is.

It was sorta disco stuff ??

Looks like he will be a bad guy so I might like him lol .. 🙂

LOL, su… the movie is a year younger than I am. Yes, it may be before our time; but age of something great is only relative. My grandmother had a dance studio in the city, and believe me, those dance moves never go out of style. I do think disco was all the rage in the late 70’s….. You know; SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER and stuff? The Brothers Gibb ( BG’s). So, I don’t know if DIRTY DANCING fits that category, as the theme was based and set in the 50’s. The genre in the movie is actually salsa, cha-cha-cha and… Read more »

He sure looks like his late brother Patrick which is hard to look at. Hope the makeup artists do change his scrubby looks. Other than this comment, I am not familiar with his acting career so will reserve further comments until I see his acting ability.

This is a trend on GH, we get teased with these good actors who come and go and we are stuck with Nathan, Lulu, Jordan and Andre! I love that guy Winston who seems to be Olivia Jerome’s right hand man.

Ah-ha, Timmmy. So, is Olivia Jerome the owner of those hands? (I have no clue as to whom she may be. A sister?).
I figured those were too small and delicate ( but lethal, nonetheless?) to belong to a man. And, too young to belong to Helena. I thought Tom was involved with the bomb, as well, and used as a scapegoat.
What about Nelle? Could she be behind this sudden makeshift organization, devised to get Julian off the hook? Too young?:

That should read “those HANDS were too small….”. Sorry.

I am thinking “Buzz” might have witnessed something while being out on the streets. Maybe he secretly witnessed Alexis hitting Julian with her car, and running away and just leaving him their. Maybe he witnessed something about the car bomb in Julian’s car. Maybe he secretly knows that Morgan is really alive somewhere.

That’s a very good premise, as well, Connor. Hadn’t thought of that. Lots of possibilities, which are not one iota far-fetched for a soap. A last-minute damage-control job will be dug up. ..hey, Liz’s rapist ( forgot is name) could be blamed for planting the bomb. Regardless, Buzz is most-likely up to his neck in this. But, to be honest with you, I am not enjoying this run-around stuff. This story is not having any effect on me, one way or the other. The idea that Julian is holding Alexis mentally ‘hostage’ is a turn off. I am not taken… Read more »

I agree, Alexis was so strong AND look at the two main writers on the show, WOMEN!

Celia

Celia

@Timmm. Right, Timmmy. These writers should cower in shame for putting Alexis, as a woman, in this position… Then again, those fans who want these two back together will say that Julian is just looking out for her by parking himself in her house.’Gimme’ a break!! Everything else has failed; thus, the first thing he should have done was get Alexis’ children involved….not just hang around, in her face, hoping she’ll take him back. So freaking smug. Well, I hope Sam ( once she comes down from the clouds) does something, considering she does suspect her mother is drinking…..habitually. And,… Read more »

Did Alexis kill Tom ( got his name, lol)? Is this where the story is going? I cannot believe this. I hope my mind is working overtime….haven’t ‘they’ done enough damage to Alexis?
I believe Franco, with the newly Shakespearean look, when he told Liz he did not kill Tom. So….

Celia, after seeing yesterday’s show, it appears that you are right 🙂 The scene at the end of the show yesterday when Alexis was remembering (in her mind) that Tom was probably about to rape her / abuse her in some way shape and or form… And the fact that this scene happened right after Franco was talking on the phone with somebody at a bar I believe, about Tom being murdered. I think that helped to foreshadow who really did what to Tom. But, now it seems, like Alexis probably had a good enough of a reason to “kill”… Read more »

I guess, Connor. But, i don’t think Alexis knows who Tom really is. Does she? Perhaps, she simply tried to protect herself; and being drunk out of her senses, she remembers foggy bits and pieces. Another reason could be that Alexis would be shamed…..losing all hopes of regaining her licence, albeit I cannot be so sure that Alexis is that beguilingly cunning. However, Connor….I am still somewhat befuddled. Would TPTB really do this to Alexis? What really puts a thorn in my side ( and just as I thought and suggested, along with others), is the fact that Julian will… Read more »

Breaking News

Ingo Rademacher Speaks Out On His Dismissal From GH Sharing: “I Was Hoping to Play Jax For Another 10 or 25 Years and Unfortunately, That’s Not Going to Happen”

For the first time since he was fired for not adhering to General Hospital’s and Disney/ABC’s Covid-19 vaccine mandate, Ingo Rademacher (Ex-Jax), addressed his exit from the soap opera via an “official video” message on his Instagram account.

Ingo expressed: “I’m sorry that I didn’t put out this video earlier, but this is about thanking you guys, the fans of the show and also the GH crew and cast. I was on the show for 25 years. They were like my family a lot of the people there. I was hoping to play Jax for another 10 or 25 years and unfortunately, that’s not going to happen. I want to thank you guys for sticking with Jax for 25 years and I’m sorry that I’m not there anymore to play Jax, which is still something that I am trying to process  … it’s just kind of crazy.”

Rademacher also took aim at his former co-star, Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) for announcing on Twitter that he was no longer on the show, before he had a chance to do so, which he says was a huge disappointment to him given that they worked together for 25 years.

He went on to say how he appreciated all the positive comments from the fans adding, “A lot of you come on there to say that you’re vaccinated but stand for medical freedom, I love hearing that, because I believe it should be a choice.”  Ingo continued to express his view, “I don’t agree with vaccine mandates or corporations ever being able to mandate a vaccine to keep your job.”

The actor closed with another nod to the viewers of GH adding, “Thank you so much for supporting me for 25 years. I will have more news later on, but for now, just wanted to thank all of you amazing fans. Thank you.”

You can watch Rademacher’s full statement via his IG post below.  Then, let us know what you thought of Ingo’s long-awaited exit message in the comment section.

Kristina Wagner Shares She’s Back On Contract at General Hospital

This past week, General Hospital fans were thrilled with the news that longtime fan favorite, Kristina Wagner (Felicia) was on her way back to the soap opera to tape new episodes.  However on Saturday, the actress shared even bigger news.  She is back on contract at the ABC daytime drama series.

Kristina revealed via her Instagram: “I’m pleased to announce I just finished my first work week on contract with General Hospital. The good people there have made it a well oiled machine. I’m so impressed with the way they navigate the Covid protocols. It’s not easy but we’ll worth it. We’ve got some fun storylines coming up. I’ve been thrown in the middle of a current storyline and I think Felicia’s part in it gives it some color. Stay tuned!”

Earlier in the week on Tuesday via Twitter, Kristina expressed: “Tomorrow I head back to work on General Hospital! Lucky me. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of that family once again. Here we go. More to come. Felicia Scorpio rides again.”

Wagner began her GH role as Felicia Cummings, the Aztec princess back in 1984 and has appeared on and off the show since then.

So what storyline do you think Felicia will get thrown into? Will she return to Port Charles to help Maxie (Kirsten Storms)?  Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Laura Wright and Kelly Thiebaud Deliver One-Two Punch as Britt & Carly Grieve the Loss of Jason

When General Hospital goes for the emotional jugular, it is very often top-notch daytime drama, and that was on full display through Tuesday and Wednesday’s episode of the ABC daytime drama series in key scenes as the news of Jason’s ‘death’ hit Port Charles.

In the wake of Steve Burton’s (Ex-Jason) dismissal from the show for not adhering to the vaccine mandate, it did open up the story and provide for a huge fallout for those who loved the mob hitman.

In the end, it was Carly (Laura Wright) and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), who seemingly felt the loss the hardest.  Initially, upon learning how Jason ‘died’ helping Britt locate her mother, Liesl (Kathleen Gati), a defiant Carly blamed Britt for Jason never coming home.

In Wednesday’s episode, we saw how Carly and Britt tried to cope with the knowledge that Jason was buried under a rubble in a cave, with no sign of life, or his body found.

Overwhelmed with grief, Carly heads to the footbridge to be close to the spirit of Jason and to mourn him as tears flow.  She is stunned to see Britt show up there, too.  Carly is surprised that Britt even knew about the bridge that Jason had rebuilt thank to a generous donation from him.  Britt tells Carly that she and Jason had a lot of time to talk while they were on the run.  After Carly explains that Jason was her person and had been her other half, Britt offers to leave. S he expresses that she thought coming to the bridge would make her feel closer to Jason.

Then, in a heartbreaking moment, Britt assures Carly that she blames herself for what happened to Jason and hates herself.  Then, Carly has a moment of clarity that Jason would want her to forgive Britt.  Generous thoughts never come naturally to Carly, but Jason always set her straight on how to handle life’s most difficult situations.

In the final moments of the episode, with both women in tears, Britt moves to the center of the bridge with her arm around Carly, after Carly tells her she doesn’t want her to go.  The two stand together bonded over the man they both loved.

These scenes were masterfully played by Laura Wright and Kelly Thiebaud. They were gut-wrenching, powerful, and sad all at the same time.  We think many viewers needed several hankies during these scenes.

So, what did you think of the Carly and Britt bridge scenes …. and the work of Laura and Kelly? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
