Drew Barrymore’s Talk Show Bows Today

Photo: CBS Distribution

Another new talk show enters the fray on Monday, when Drew Barrymore makes her highly-anticipated debut with her self-titled syndicated daytime talk show.

The former child movie star who went to a successful career in films as an adult, and who has also been a producer and a director, is excited about this new arena for her talents.

The talk show has certainly lined-up a great guests for the series opener, all former co-stars of Drew which include: Adam Sandler (Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, Blended), and Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu (Charlie’s Angels).  In addition, Drew has a big surprise in store for a deserving family of essential workers in one of the show’s signature segments, “Designed by Drew.”

The rest of premiere week also features celebrity heavyweights: Jane Fonda, Reese Witherspoon, and Charlize Theron.

Barrymore told the New York Post about one of her segments on the daily talker: “I’m an obsessive information, news and pop-culture junkie. When I aggregate so much information for myself, I find a lot of stories so fascinating beyond that front section of the newspaper or the top headline. I think ‘Drew’s News’ is a mixed bag, which is how I like digesting the information of the world — human interest, weird, fun facts. It feels like a newspaper where, to be a responsible citizen, you have to understand what’s happening in the front section but also in sports, metro, arts and sciences, business and even obituaries — which make me want to go and live a better life because someone else did and it’s very inspiring.”

Watch a very cute promo for the series below with a very young Drew at its epicenter.

So, how do you think Drew’s new talker will do? Will you be checking it out? (Check local listings in your area for times and stations) Let us know in the comment section.

I have loved Drew since she was a little girl, and I’d would like to continue liking her. I watched one show and she wore me out. She acts like she is on speed with all her hyperactive behavior. If she calms down some I’ll give her show another try.

B&B’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Talks Motherhood, Steffy’s Opioid Addiction and Love Life on ‘Home & Family’

Daytime Emmy Award winner and a nominee again this year for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Daytime Drama Series, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) chatted with Home & Family.

During her segment, Jacqui discussed becoming a mom again for the second time and welcoming her new son, Lenix, and balancing raising two boys with playing the day to day perils of Steffy Forrester.

As soap fans know, last year’s storyline where Steffy became addicted to painkillers provided her with meaty material which landed her as one of the frontrunners for next week’s 48th annual Daytime Emmy Awards to air on Friday night, June 25th on CBS.

MacInnes Wood became emotional when telling how Steffy’s addiction intervention helped others, relating: “I was flooded with all of these messages, and this one woman reached out to me and she said her son… it still gets me emotional … but her son was addicted and that intervention was the same thing with her family, and it touched me in such a way and she said luckily that he is sober now.”

Jacqui also talked about Steffy’s on-screen love life …. and her real-life love and husband, Elan Ruspoli.

You can watch the full interview segment here.

So, what do you think of Jacqueline raising a new baby boy, being a mom to the other, while playing Steffy’s emotional storylines? Comment below.

B&B’s Don Diamont Granted Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) was granted a temporary restraining order in L.A. County Superior Court against 37-year-old Quincy Adams; who Diamont says has been harassing him and his family since back in January.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Diamont alleges that Adams took to YouTube saying Don was a Satanist and responsible for COVID, 9/11, and the Iraq war.  In addition, Adams claimed to be connected to him some way from birth.

It was then that Don grew increasingly concerned when the man shared online that he knew where Diamont and his family lived.

Then came June 2nd, when Adams showed up at their front gate and Don received a call from his wife, Cindy.  The police handled Adams from there, but Don was very worried that Adams might harm him, or his family, so he was granted the temporary restraining order against him.

We wish Don and his family nothing but safety in the days ahead.

So what do you think about the claims and actions of Adams on Diamont? Comment below.
