DWTS: Corbin Bleu WOWS the Judges with the Paso Doble! Brant Daugherty Struggles Through Admirably!

It was another tough night of competition on last night’s Dancing with the Stars!  But it was One Life to Live and High School Musical star, who went shirtless for the first time, not only wowed  the judges, but the audience in attendance with a rousing standing ovation and thunderous applause to his Paso Doble with partner, Karina Smirnoff.   Yes, it was fiery as Corbin promised, he strutted his stuff going shirtless half way into the routine, and the moves and the intricacies of it were top notch! Judge Carrie Ann called it, “smoldering”.  Judge Bruno ecstatic said,  “That was the pure essence of Paso Doble, an incredibly powerful performance.” and guest judge Julianne Hough, well, all she could say to Corbin was, “You’re so … ahhh!”   Corbin scored a 27 and tied for the top score of the night on the judge’s leader board!

Pretty Little Liars and Days of our Lives star, Brant Daugherty had another tough week after coming off scoring the highest total from the judges last week and being robbed at gunpoint and injuring his foot in DWTS rehearsals! This week, Brant’s old serious shoulder injury caused trouble for him and partner Peta Murgatroyd in rehearsals, as she was trying to get Brant to do some lifts that he just could not handle due to the instability from his shoulder injury.  Peta was frustrated and it was very hard seeing Brant in tears.  He has struggled through like a fighter!  During their Salsa, Brant’s shirt came off for the first time, but it did not go over well with the judges!  In fact, Carrie Ann said, “it was very revealing”, but she did not mean in a good way.  Julianne, said his moves were “loosey-goosey”!  And the end of it all, not only did the duo end up with a 21, but also faced elimination at the end of the night from last week’s voting, when it was down between Brant and Peta and Valerie Harper and Tristan MacManus.   It was Valerie and Tristan though, who were sent packing! So, Brant will dance another day!

If Corbin ‘wowed’ the judges, then why didn’t at least one of them give him a ’10’? I think they have judged him very unfairly since week one. He is far and away the best dancer on this season. Elizabeth Berkley is also very, very good too. But I think they judge him on another ‘plane’ than the other dancers. Maybe they think he has an unfair advantage with his musical background, but that’s still not fair. The show has had plenty of seasons with other contenders that have that advantage. I don’t know how to tweet, but if I… Read more »

WHO CARES?

Does anybody in the soap world know who any of these people are? I can see this getting this kind of press if it were Kassie DePaiva or Walt Willey but come on.

I thought Julianne H was a biased judge ..for all the others she had all these criticisms but for her brother she didn’t see anything wrong even though his partner had been so injured she couldn’t practice till Friday and could barely bend her legs….

I haven’t been watching DWTS this season … but looks like Corbin did pretty good on this video. Last two seasons were so good – Derek Hough did such an awesome job with Kelli Pickler last year – I’m still watch videos of that Argentine tango they did, showing it to non-DWTS viewers and they’re entranced with it too!
