Thank God, we can finally tell you about this! Remember yesterday when we posted our interview with Nadia Bjorlin and she spoke of the other project she has in the works that will be announced soon? Well, here it is!  Nadia along with General Hospital’s Kelly Monaco and Kirsten Storms, One Life to Live’s Farah Fath and John-Paul Lavoisier and DAYS Galen Gering are the main subjects in the brand new exciting reality show launching on E! Entertainment Television, (from none other than Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa production company) called Dirty Soap!

Over last weekend, we can tell you that the crew was out in full force (both in front of the camera and the production crew) shooting and following the stars at the GH Fan Club Luncheon and Galen Gering’s ACME show! We think this is going to be an awesome jumpstart for soaps to get some much needed mainstream coverage and the cast is terrific!

Here is the official press release on the show below!

“They’ve been killers, ghosts, homeless, prostitutes, prisoners and even murder victims – but it’s off the set of their famous soaps where the real drama begins. Featuring a drop-dead gorgeous ‘who’s who’ of daytime television – Kelly Monaco (General Hospital), Nadia Bjorlin (Days Of Our Lives), Kirsten Storms (General Hospital), Farah Fath (One Life To Live), JP Lavoisier (One Life To Live), and Galen Gering (Days Of Our Lives) – Dirty Soap is a titillating look at these stunning thespians as they navigate high-profile careers during pivotal moments in the industry and deal with their own real-life drama, which often rivals that of their daytime counterparts. Executive produced by Amber Mazzola’s Machete Productions and Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ Milojo Productions, the eight-episode, hour-long series, “Dirty Soap,” premieres September 25 at 10:00PM ET/PT only on E!

The “soap bubble” is a small and intimate world and this cast of characters has played extremely significant roles in each others lives for years. They’ve been co-stars, best friends, worst enemies, boyfriends, girlfriends, and everything in between. Working together on set and spending time with each other in their down-time, they have formed substantial bonds and created a pseudo “soap family.” In the series we see them all begin a new chapter in their lives – some have left the soap world, some are doing film, some are focusing on family, and others are simply trying to determine what would be the best next move. Romantic relationships are tested when one person’s career rockets forward and the others is stuck at “go.” Jealousies arise as actors attempt to jump from one soap to another, and arch rivals must find a way to coexist in this sudsy microcosm without ripping each other to shreds. The softer side of these heartthrobs is also exposed as they interact with their families – one beauty meets her biological father for the very first time and another tearfully sends her brother off to the United States Army flight school. All the while their goals are clear – to grow their careers and to keep their hearts and heads above water in Tinseltown – where it’s so very easy to drown.

“The soap industry is at a defining moment and the time is ripe for a series that goes inside this iconic world and explores the unique bond that these actors share,” said Lisa Berger, President, Entertainment Programming, E! “No one knows the inner-workings of the soap community better than Kelly and Mark, and it is exciting for us to work with them, in addition to some of the reigning kings and queens of soap featured in the series.”

“We’re very excited to be behind this show for E!, and having met on the soaps we know all too well how much work and dedication it takes,” adds Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

Meet the Cast:

Kelly Monaco, a dazzling brunette beauty, is most famous for her starring role on the daytime drama “General Hospital” and being the first champion on “Dancing with the Stars.” In the mid-90’s, Kelly landed a recurring role on “Baywatch” and after numerous roles in film she eventually was cast as ‘Sam’ on “GH.” Kelly recently ended an eighteen year relationship with her high-school sweetheart and is cautiously getting ready to jump back into the dating pool in LA…but is she really ready to let go of her troubled past? One of Kelly’s best friends is Kirsten, who she met when Kirsten joined “General Hospital.”

Kirsten Storms has been acting since she was a young girl. A star on the Disney Channel, appearing in the hit movie franchise “Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century,” the bubbly blonde has been on set most of her life. Things really took off for Kirsten when in 1999 she landed the role of ‘Belle’ on “Days Of Our Lives.” Kirsten is currently enjoying a successful run on “General Hospital.” Happy in her career, she is trying to figure out what happened between her and her former best friend and co-star Farah Fath – the duo hasn’t spoken in over three years. Will they be able to repair their old friendship? Kirsten is also working through some family issues; she has been on the outs with her immediate family for quite some time and just as she begins to make amends, her brother must leave to go to the United States Army flight school.

Farah Fath is a southern gal from Lexington, Kentucky, who was crowned “Miss Kentucky Preteen” in 1995. In 1999, Farah went to LA for her first audition and in less than a month she landed the role of ‘Mimi Lockhart’ (whose character was best friends with Storms’ ‘Belle’) on “Days Of Our Lives.” After 8 years on “Days” Farah moved to NYC and joined the cast of “One Life To Live.” Now, she is now bi-coastal and back in LA for a few months, looking for her next gig and preparing to live with her actor boyfriend, JP. Though she loves him, Farah needs some answers from JP – is this relationship serious or not? Once back in the sunshine state, the blonde beauty must face her “frienemy” Kirsten Storms, but luckily she has the help of her friend and former colleague, Nadia Bjorlin.

Nadia Bjorlin is a woman of many talents. Besides being breathtakingly beautiful, she is an accomplished opera singer with many accolades under her belt. Nadia didn’t have to wait long for her big break in acting when, just weeks after she secured an agent, she auditioned for the role of mysterious young opera singer ‘Chloe’ on “Days Of Our Lives.” She nailed the audition, landed the role and moved out to Los Angeles. She has played ‘Chloe’ on and off since 1999 and has also had guest starring roles on “Two and a Half Men,” “CSI,” and many more. Now, Nadia is leaving “Days” to begin her career in film. Nadia has been living with her boyfriend, Brandon, for the past few years. They are both actors in transition mode – the big question is: what will happen if one of their careers takes off, and the other goes nowhere?

Galen Gering is currently a major character on “Days Of Our Lives” playing Alison Sweeney’s love interest. He was raised by hippie parents in sunny southern California and in his late teens he moved to NYC and enjoyed a successful modeling career. Galen landed a role on “Passions” in 1999 and has been melting women’s hearts ever since. The soap star has been married for the past 11 years to his actress wife, Jenna, and the couple has two sons.

JP Lavoisier grew up in small town Pennsylvania and studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. His rugged good looks helped land him a role on “One Life To Live” in 2002 and he has been a soap stud ever since. For the last four years he has been dating Farah Fath, though he seems to have no plans to “put a ring on it” any time soon. In fact, he left his last girlfriend because she wanted more than he was able to give. What is going to happen with Farah when she clearly has marriage on the brain?”

So what do you think soapers? Excited? Let us know!

Nope. Sounds like another reason to hit “skip” when my channel grazing hits on E.

Glad for them however I will not be interested in watching. Not interested in a reality show about soap stars. Do not see it helping soaps either especially with Kelly Monaco as one of it’s stars. She has no sense of tact. Think that it could do more harm than good.

Kelly Monoco is a great actress and i cant wait to see her on that show! if u dont watch soaps then dont bother watching it its that simple.

This is so cool and I am super excited for it to start airing! Way to go Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, and E!

I like Galen but the others –not so much and would never watch anything KM was involved in, sorry if that sound like a mean person but I have no good feelings about her. NB I don’t really know much about but KS is a good actress. the other two FF and JPL I liked on OLTL–he is kinda funny.
I don’t watch reality shows much anyway so this won’t be a missed opportunity.

wats up with all these kelly monaco haters in here. maybe u should check out the charities she was involed in before calling her annoying.

I never said I hated her and didn’t use the word annoying. Frankly what ever she’s involved in does not interest me and doing charitable work doesn’t make you either good or likable. This is my personal opinion.

I only really know of two of the participants-Kirsten and Kelly. I have no desire to watch soap stars I don’t know, and of the two I know, I have no desire to watch a 30 something who can’t act, much less act her age.

SO. EXCITED!!!!!!!

I might would have checked this out if this was a scripted prime time soap. But since its just another insipid reality television series I will just skip this one. I have no interest in yet another tired reality show. This the reason why I stopped watching E channel, MTV, and VH1. Plus the cast of soap actors featured are not even remotely exciting or interesting. I’m giving this a pass.

I am happy to watch Farah Fath and JP post OLTL on anything. They are so cute together, and I am interested in seeing their “real” life. I hope Farah lands a spectacular job on a worthy primetime show. JP will definitely find work….on GH, or a sitcom. Kristen Storms and Nadia Bjorlin are very likeable. I have no desire to see Kelly Monaco. I think she is the most overrated actress on daytime. So only 1 actress is uninteresting me…..that is pretty good. Should be much better than the other reality shows out there. The subject matter is at least relevant to soap viewers.

heyy i love kellyy mococo!!

I’ll take a pass.

I’ll take a peak.

FANTASTIC!!!! 🙂

LOVE Kelly Monaco, Farah Fath, Kristen Storms, & JP. Will most definitely watch. Excited!!!

I’m gonna watch for Nadia Bjorlin

……..yawnnnnnnn………zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

It sounds juicy and promising! Kinda like a “soap on the side”!!!

Hell Yes!!! sounds good. Love Farah and JP and Kristen and G! OLTL fan forever

Soooo excited!!!! I don’t think the soap stars get enough credit. They keep us entertained and sometimes on the edge ours seats. Granted, sometimes you want to see things work out (Gigi) you just can’t help but tune in everyday. It’s a break from our reality and now we get to see theirs.

Soooo excited after i saw the previews on E! last night at the gym. I would rather watch these stars in another “insipid reality show” than people i don’t know. It’s about time that we get a peak into Soap stars lives.. who have been replaced by reality shows anyways… and i love all of these people to different degrees. This is going to be a real life Soap Dish!!! Can’t wait!!

They did ‘Sun Buggy’ in Las Vegas yesterday, Those girls did the ‘Vegas Mini Baja Chase’ what a blast they were to work with and a first rate production crew, this is going to be a great show!

Sounds great! I’m a little confused as to Galen part in all this. His blurb didn’t sound all that drama-packed. But I’ll definitely be adding this show to my dvr.

I AM VERY EXCITED FOR THIS SHOW TO COME ON!!! YOU HAVE MOST OF THE ACTORS FROM THE ABC SOAPS ( WHICH ARE THE ONES I WATCH) SO THIS COULDN’T INTEREST ME MORE! WHAT A GREAT CONCEPT ! SCORE KELLY AND MARK!!!!

I am very much looking forward to watching. Especially interested in Kelly Monaco, Kristen Storms, JP and Farah Fath, but since I do not know anything about the others, I am interested to learn. This series comes at a great time, since we are about to lose AMC and OLTL. Good luck to all involved both in front of and behind the scenes!!!!!

Yay!!! I’m excited. I will be watching!

I’m actually interested! I’m not a reality show fan I never really have the interest to watch them but I’ll give this one a chance. I love Days of our Lives and would love to see Kirsten, Nadia and Farah on screen together again…..however I hate that Nadia is leaving Days, I’ll really miss the character of Chloe she’s been on the show sooo long! It will be really sad to see her go, but I’m excited to see the girls together again, hope that Kirsten and Farah can make up, I guess I’ll just have to watch and find out. Hopefully the show will help bring more fans to the soap world,

i cannot wait!!! i am soo excited to see it i already have it set on my dvr..i am a huge fan of days of our lives my mom and i watch it everyday.

I hope that this is a prelude to reintroducing ABC soaps on cable. We will boycott ABC until a satisfactory alternative is presented. This is a good start.

I can’t wait. Mark and Kelly have a good track record. With soap cancellations, this will be a good way to keep up with some of my favorite actors.

I am not a reality show fan. Hate them! BUT because I am a die hard GH fan and like Kelly and Mark I will watch the first episode to see what it is all about.

I did not know of this show until Kelly Ripa mentioned something about it on Regis and Kelly last week, so I decided to watch this weeks episode. I thought it was sooo good! At least you can view and appreciate what the soap stars lives are all about after the shows and what they have to do to prove they are more than just a soap opera actor. I hope that Kristen will have a speedy recovery and be healthy enough to return to GH! I just wish that they involved soap stars from other soaps such as Y&R Victoria and JT’s lives away from the scene. Congrats to Kelly and Mark I wish the best for you both on this new show!! 🙂

1-Nadias mother is a bitch who needs to be shipped back to wherever she’s from. 2-Galen is either homophobic or a closet case or both. Discuss.

I REALLY enjoyed watching this show. What happened to it? Hope it wasn’t cancelled =,( Please let me know so I can stop looking for it =.
Xamny

Was the show cancelled? If it was will they be releasing it on DVD so I can rent or buy it? What happened to Kirsten Storm? She was my Favorite actress on GH and she was replaced.

Was Dirty Soap canceled?

Yes it was canceled.

I hope that Dirty Soap comes back on soon. I love the stars and look forward to knowing others. I got hooked on your show, so please hurry back with more. Their lives are interested and they are all beautiful people and I admire them

Days of our Lives Star, Greg Vaughan, Gives Health Update and Thanks Everyone for Their Support

Greg Vaughan (Eric, Days of our Lives, ex-Lucky, GH, and ex-Diego, Y&R) provided an update on his health on Sunday, March 17th. Vaughan had previously shared that he had become ill during a trip with his sons to Colorado, and had developed altitude sickness when he was having trouble breathing accompanied by terrible headaches and landed in the urgent care.

Now on St. Patrick’s Day, Greg took to his Instagram and shared how he is feeling now, and to thank everyone for their love and support.  As it turned out, Vaughan was diagnosed with high altitude pulmonary edema, commonly known as HAPE. However, he is on the mend slowly and surely.

In his new video post, the DAYS favorite started by expressing, “I just felt such an appreciation and gratitude for everything. . reaching out. Your prayers have been felt. It’s been a struggle, but I’m over the top. And, taking this moment just to say I didn’t realize the things that I was going through. My (original) post was simply just to educate, put some information out there and some things that I was feeling, just share that information and the struggle that I was going through, which I didn’t quite understand. And it wasn’t because I’m stubborn or just because I’m a father, a man, and didn’t want to go to a doctor. It is just something I thought was so minor that I could overcome it, just by taking care of myself.”

Photo: JPI

The Daytime Emmy winner then revealed his actual diagnosis, “So, basically my situation was high altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE). With some good friends, doctors that had reached out to me, it kind of gave me some understanding on the aftermath, which was very, very beneficial.”

“But I’ve been resting, taking care of myself even though I live in a hamster wheel,” said the dad of three teenaged boys. “I gotta get up and, you know, do my normal domesticated stuff, eventually. I’m tired of laying down in this bed, but, I am feeling much better.”

Photo: GVaughanIG

Talking on his confusion of trying to understand what could have been ailing him, Vaughan expressed, “I couldn’t quite figure it out, even though I was emphasizing and professing to my children going on our spring break getaway about hydration. I professed it. But, even though I was acting on it, it had a greater effect on me, and for which I did not even think, because my head was such in pain, and I was in a very bad state of mind – not being able to be out there with my kids on the mountain, enjoying their time, as well. I thought I was doing the right thing. Unfortunately, my lungs were full of fluids and my head was in severe pain and even migraine pills didn’t even help. So, I just want anybody that goes into the Colorado Mountains to know, it is no joke. It is this very serious thing which I guess is why they call it the Mile High City.”

Greg had a mountain of ‘thank you’s’ to give for the outreach he received from his original post, “For everybody internationally, wherever you are, I love you and I appreciate you and just the time and the thoughts that you’ve shared with me,” said Vaughan. “I didn’t realize that it would make such an impression on so many people around the world. I feel tremendously loved and I can’t say it enough. I’m good. And I appreciate you.”

Photo: GVaughanIG

The actor concluded his video with, “To all the family and friends that have reached out to me, man, it means the world. So take care of yourself, enjoy your spring break with your families. It’s Saint Patty’s Day, obviously. I wish I could be out there.” Vaughan added, “I feel loved and touched and I can’t emphasize that enough. I’ll take better care of myself, promise you will do the same.” Before he signed off, Greg shared, “Just know, that I’m alive and well and breathing, and I’m sore. So, be well, take care. I mean it. Thank you, tremendously.”

Glad to know that Greg has been on the mend, and shared his appreciation for everyone that reached out to him during this trying time? Comment below.

Days of our Lives Star Greg Vaughan Shares Sudden Health Scare: “I Truly Feel Like I Work & Live in a Soap Opera!”

What started out as an adventure with his sons, quickly turned into a nightmare for Days of our Lives Daytime Emmy winner, Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady).

In a series of Instagram posts, Vaughan shared the sudden health crisis he found himself in.  The images show Greg with an oxygen tank to help him breathe.

The actor began to fill people, sharing, “I’ve said more than a few times, I truly feel like I work & live in a Soap Opera! 🤪 this trip was nothing short of another great Vaughan adventure!”

He went on to say that on a father and son Colorado spring break trip, he began to feel shortness of breath, feeling tired and with a headache and after two days of hoping he would feel better, Vaughan finally went to an Urgent Care to get checked out.

Photo: GVaughanIG

“I finally surrendered & went to urgent care and to my shock I learned that I was experiencing severe altitude sickness.” Vaughan admitted. “My Blood Oxygen was at 54% & my lungs were full of fluids! Blood oxygen, also known as oxygen saturation, represents the percentage of hemoglobin in your red blood cells that is carrying oxygen. Most people have an oxygen level of 95-100%….”

Providing more detail to his health scare, Greg shared, “Well, 4hrs later, a couple of bags of IV & oxygen tank strapped to my face, I was told that I needed to immediately get off the mountain! However I couldn’t, we still had another day to go & wanting the boys to enjoy their last day on the hill tops! I opted to go home with an oxygen tank, a good laugh for everyone, and I know will follow, but my boys looked after their old man & fortunately they had friends on this trip!”

Photo: JPI

The experience of altitude sickness in the Colorado Rockies gave Vaughan a bit of a new perspective, “In all seriousness, no matter your age, and all the times I’ve ⛷️ & 🏂 in my lifetime, Colorado Rockies is no joke! As they say, ‘ take a breathe and smell the roses!’ That is truly something we need to remember & appreciate! #recover”

Share your well-wishes to Greg as he continues to be on the mend via the comment section below.
